I: In Which There Is VidCon
Hank and John Green were in Anaheim, California, but more specifically, they were in the Exhibition Hall at VidCon. Nerdfighters of every race and age were mixed in with a sea of Beardlovers and other people who love online video to fill the large space. Their wives, Katherine and Sarah respectively, weren't there, and were instead back in Missoula, Montana, and Indianapolis, Indiana. The two brothers were signing autographs, and occasionally someone would bring them a gift, every one of which was made of solid awesome, like the Nerdfighters that brought them. VidCon was a way to get creative, awesome people together, when the Project For Awesome was still half of an amazing year away. After a while, a strange man walked up to them, holding shimmering light blue and green fedora hats. The man had a white goatee and strange eyes, yellow with red circles around the pupils. He had a slightly-too-long fang-like tooth on the right side of his mouth, and bushy white eyebrows. The man wore a black hoodie with the hood up and black sweatpants and looked to be in his 30's or 40's. When he spoke, Hank swore his voice was identical to Discord's from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
"Hello, John Green and Hank Green, is it? I'm a fan and I would like for you to have these hats." he said.
"Oh, thanks, dude. Cool hats." John said.
"Yeah, thanks." Hank replied. The man gave them the hats and smiled evilly, showing off that odd fang, yellow and red eyes glinting in the bright light. The brothers examined the hats. Hank's was a light, minty green and shimmered with light. John's was pale blue, like ice in winter. It, too, shimmered. The hats had black bands around the rims, which were not shimmering, but in fact of a matte texture. The sky grew dark through the windows. It was around 9:30, time for the music show. Everyone crowded into the large music stadium. The lights on the stage went up as Hank and John went onto the stage to start the show off with an introduction.
"Hello, everybody!" John said excitedly. "Welcome to VidCon, we hope you've had a great time the past day, I am John Green of the Vlogbrothers. Here is our first guest here tonight for our musical show, my brother, Hank Green!" Hank walked out onto the brightly lit stage, perfectly timed so that he appeared and John disappearing from the stage at the same exact time. He strummed a chord on his guitar, then started singing. The song was 'The Man Who Trows The Tetris Piece', a rock song about how in Tetris you can never get a piece that's perfectly straight. It had many people singing along in glee. The next song was 'Accio Deathly Hallows', a song that made Hank and John's vlogs famous. It expressed Hank's frustration and need for Harry Potter. A few more artists played, including Chameleon Circuit, a Time Lord Rock band, Driftless Pony Club, a rock band from Chicago, and others.
Hank collapsed onto his bed. It had been a long day, and he was exhausted. He got into his pajamas, climbed into bed, and fell asleep.
