A Day In Ponyville
A Lame Encounter
Previous ChapterNext ChapterDiamond and Filthy made their way down the road towards Sweet Apple Acres, both of them seeing the tall red barn come into view. Tiara rolled her eyes, hearing the giddy giggles of the Cutie Mark Lamesaders. Great. The whole lame train is here. The pink princess said inwardly as she saw the CMC in the distance. Although she hated to admit it, they looked like they were having fun. Putting on a smug smile, Diamond walked side by side with her father elegantly, her eyes narrowed. Though she wasn't looking at the crusaders, she knew they saw her because their laughing stopped.
"Uh...Applejack!" Applebloom called. "We have uh, guests.." Seconds later, an orange earth pony trotted out of the barn, a wrench gripped in her teeth and her hooves stained with oil. "Howdy Filthy! I mean, Rich." She said, spitting out the wrench. "What can Ah do for y'all this fine morning?" The farmpony asked in her usual cheery tone.
"I need somepony to watch Diamond Tiara for the day." Rich explained, slicking back his greasy black mane with a hoof. Applejack's bright smile faltered, and she glanced back at the Cutie Mark Crusaders, who were rapidly shaking their heads. "Ah would but, I already got three here, and with Big Mac and Granny Smith checking our crop in Appleoosa, I'm afraid three is all Ah can handle." Applejack managed to deny Filthy's request while telling the truth. "Is that all partner?"
"Actually, I was hoping to discuss the Zap Apple Jam real quick." Rich said, following Applejack as she beckoned him inside. Once they were out of sight, Diamond grinned and narrowed her eyes, turning to the Lamesaders.
"Diamond, before ya say anythin, Ah just wanna ask you a question." Applebloom stated with a frown. Tiara rolled her eyes but decided to listen anyway. It may be something she could use against the trio of lame fillies. "What is it?" The princess asked with a roll of her bright blue eyes.
"Why can't ya just be friends with us?" The yellow filly began, followed by the nodding of Sweetie and Scoots. "You and Silver both. Y'all are just wastin your time bein mean, when we could all be friends!" Tiara tilted her head, her mouth turned in a small, thoughtful frown as to make the lamesaders believe she was considering their offer. Inwardly, she was grinning at their hopeful faces. After a moment of 'thinking' she smiled without the evil touch of narrowing her eyes. "Well..." The pink princess began but didn't finish. She couldn't wait to see their squees and jumps of joy as they thought there greatest enemy was going to befriend them.
Sweetie Belle was the first to react. With a great big leap and a loud squeal, the young unicorn skipped around Tiara as if they were friends already. "Yay yay yay! I can't believe this! Rarity is gonna be sooo happy!" The curly maned filly exclaimed, calmign herself down as she joined the other shocked lamesaders. After giving them a genuine smile, she added the 'evil touch' which was narrowing her eyes and turning the smile into a smug grin. "You didn't give me a chance to finish!" She said, beginning to circle the girls with the occasional wiggle of her flank, which held the biggest jewel of all: her cutie mark. "I mean seriously, first you interrupt me, rude! And then you think I'm actually going to be your friend." Tiara said, stopping her circling once she was face to face with the three.
"B-but.." Sweetie Belle began, but was cut off.
"No buts! I call the shots around here, and let me tell you I will never, ever, ever be friends with you pathetic blank flank losers. I mean, you might've had a chance, but then again, Silver and I can't let talentless ponies into our club, now can we?" The snobby pink earth pony finished just as her father walked out and began to head up the road, beckoning for Diamond to follow. With one last smug smirk, the filly let her words hang in the air as she joined her father.
"I can't believe her! Fooling us like that! Well, this isn't the last she's seen of the Cutie Mark Crusaders!" Scootaloo remarked angrily, clenching her hoof and shaking it in the air at Diamond as she usually did. Applebloom's ears drooped and she looked down. "It's just as well y'all, even if she did become our friend Ah'm sure Applejack wouldn't let her over the house, and Rarity wouldn't let her over your's Sweetie, ya know, after all she's done to us. What type of friends would we be if we never had her over?" Asked the yellow filly to her friends, trying to make them feel better.
"I guess you're right.." Sweetie Belle said, still looking at the ground. Scootaloo seemed to be the only one who wasn't that upset.
"Alright, enough of this saddy waddy stuff, lets go earn out cutie marks!"
