Red Rune.

A thick trail of Rainbows tore across the sky. Rainbow Dash had just performed her Sonic Rainboom, and this time, she flew faster than ever. The sky truly was the limit, and she was still picking up speed. Charged energy zapped around her, and large, rainbow coloured Lightning bolts shot out in all directions. The sound grew to such a volume that the sky twisted and distorted behind her, shattering the air. The space around Rainbow Dash started to crackle and pop, and sparks were firing into her wake. After a few seconds, everything went silent. Rainbow Dash was nowhere to be seen.

Rainbow Dash awoke, dazed and in shock, the heaving sickness in her chest taking away all of her concentration. She looked around, to find that she was alone. She was in a dark hall, and there were large, scorched marks across the ground , blazing off into the distance. Thin vapours of smoke rose from the ground, and the smell of pure blood was in the air. There was a faint dripping noise coming from elsewhere in the Hall. As she gazed around in wonder, she caught something in the corner of her eye. The source of the dripping was a thin mare, impaled on a spear. It was a Pegasus, and her wings were deteriorated and desolate. Her eyes had been gouged out, and there were rather grim looking trails of liquid oozing from the sockets. As Rainbow Dash`s eyes got used to the light level, she noticed even more corpses were scattered around the room. Disembodied parts lay on the ground, and the heads of several ponies were hanging from the ceiling.  Rainbow Dash was equally horrified as she was scared and disgusted. “ C-come on, this must be a joke, right.” She muttered to herself manically. Her voice echoed and bounced around the room, showing how large the room really was.

She noticed that it wasn’t only dead Ponies that “decorated” the room. There were also dead ape-like creatures hanging from the ceiling, and pinned to the walls with spikes and needles. Dash noticed that none of the bodies were decomposed; they had been freshly killed. Dash looked around in horror, only to glance apon the devilish creation that lay on the floor beside her. But it was too late.

The jaws snapped shut on her right hoof. A bear trap had bitten deep into her leg. Blood splashed up her leg, dying her coat a dark red. Rainbow Dash shrieked in pain, and she fell to the floor. She failed to fight off the searing agony, and he let out another ear piercing scream. Over the echoes of her scream, she could hear a faint clopping in the distance. “I- Is some-p-pony there? Please, h- help me…” In the Moonless midnight, Rainbow Dash could hear the noise of music. A Music box slid out of the darkness, scraping the ground as it went. It was covered in blood and entrails, an eerie nursery rhyme playing.  The only words that could be made out if the choir were “Eternity, youre never getting out… So come with me, and go to sleep my little Dashie”. A sharp needle flew out of the Darkness and was imbedded into Rainbow Dashs chest. Rainbow Dash could feel herself slipping away. She dropped out of consciousness.

Rainbow Dash awoke with a Gasp. She leaned her head up, looking around. Her leg felt like it was on fire, but she was relieved that the bear trap was no longer there, She struggled to move, but was bound by thick leather straps holding her to the ground. Rainbow`s heart began to beat faster as she wriggled to get free. “Hah. Going somewhere? Or at least trying to...” a voice whispered in the cold darkness.

“W- Who is t-there? Show y-yourself!” Rainbow Dash cried, unsure if she would get what she wanted.

A Gold coloured mare stepped out of the shadows, here black and Red mane obscuring half of her face. Her eyes glowed a bright shade of red, and blood was dripping from her mouth.

“You know, you don’t taste half bad” a twisted grin popped up on the unknown mare`s face. “ I am Red Rune, but you can call me Master. I will be your Torturer for the evening.” Her head cocked backwards and she let out a Maniacal laugh.

“W-where am I” Rainbow Dash said, still woozy, and completely disregarding Rune`s Previous statement.

“You… You are in the Rift. You flew too fast, Dashie. Can`t get ahead of yourself. You need to slow down in life. Now anyway, enough talk. Time is murder.”

Red Rune picked up a large metal rod from the ground. “This isn’t sharp! Shame that…” She said, giggling to herself. Rune Raised the Rod above Rainbow Dashs stomach, and plunged it down, ramming it into Rainbows chest. The Rod pierced Rainbows skin, ripping open a gaping hole. Rainbow Dash let out a cry, but it faded down, the intense pain overpowering her own voice. “Awww, did that hurt Dashie? Im sorry, I have just the right thing to help.” Red Rune dropped the rod and picked up a small cup and a knife. Rune cut her own sides, and let blood run out into the cup. Rune writhed in pleasure, loving every moment of the pain. The cup was full after two, long minutes. “Here Dashie, accept this gift. She pulled open Rainbow Dashs mouth and poured the blood down her throat. “Swallow all of your medicine, Dashie. I want you to get better, remember.” Rainbow Dash spat out the blood, splattering it all over the floor. “Ewww, Dash! All over the floor! Don’t worry, I will mop it up right away.” Rune picked up the decapitated head of a deceased pony, letting the entrails flow into the open hole in Rainbow Dashs chest. She mopped up the blood on the floor with the Mane of the pony, soaking the yellow hair Red.

“I fancy a snack. I know the perfect source of food around here.” Rune span around to face Rainbow Dash again, her eyes gleaming and a wide smile spreading across her face. She strolled over to Dash, grabbing a pair of pliers on the way. She knelt down to Rainbow, giving her a little kiss on the cheek. “This wont hurt one bit Dashie” She put the pliers around Rainbows cheek, and pulled on the tissue and skin. She ripped half of Rainbows face muscle off, and Rainbow let out a Muffled scream. Her life was beginning to fade away. “Awww, don’t go yet Dashie!” Rune screamed, frustrated. A look of sadness quickly took over Runes face, and she popped a chunk of Rainbows flesh into her mouth. “We haven’t had all of our fun yet.” Rune untied Rainbow from the Floor and hauled her onto a table, and Dashs blood poured out of her chest wound. Rune picked up a sharp stone and slammed it into Dashs face, embedding it into her skull. “LISTEN TO ME WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU!!” Rune screamed, brining Dash back into consciousness.

“Okay Dashie, I take the hint. That is enough fun for one day. Now, how about I get you some morphine and I sing you a lullaby?” Rune reached down for a needle on a chair nearby. She  injected it into Rainbows arm, and immediately dropped it to the ground. Rune paused, and the Morphine began to take effect. Dash became alert, and immediately rose to hit Rune in the face. Rune took several steps back, almost tripping over.

“Youve messed with the wrong Pegasus!” Rainbow said, as she kicked Rune to the ground. She rose her hoof in the air and smashed it into Runes face, dislocating her jaw. Rune screamed with pleasure and pain, and she rose from the ground, jamming her hoof into the gash on Dashs face. Dash screamed with agony, and stumbled backwards. “Why cant you enjoy the pain like me, Dashie?” rune said as she picked up a small knife and stabbed it into Dashs left shoulder, twisting as she plunged it deeper. She immediately withdrew the knife, and stabbed herself in the same area.  Rune cocked her head back and gasped, clearly not distressed by the steel blade in her shoulder.

“Now Dashie, its time for you to go to sleep!” Rune picked up a large hammer and smacked it into Dashs head, knocking her out.

Rune dragged Dash`s limp but very much alive body into a small cage, humming as she walked. She sat outside of the cage on the floor, staring intently at Rainbow Dash.

“…Eternity… You`re never getting out my Dashie… So go to sleep…  wait for tomorrow my little Dashie…”
