Red Rune.

Rainbow Dash woke up in her Gloomy, damp cage. It was padlocked shut, and through the bars she could see her captor, Red Rune, sleeping peacefully. She had a mind numbingly agonizing pain in her chest, and as she looked down, she was shocked at what she saw. She was worryingly thin, and her coat had turned a paler shade of blue. Her ribs were clearly visible, and there were stitches holding the hole in her chest together. The hall was more lit up, as it was now day time. The vast sky was visible by cracks and holes in the roof, and Rainbow longed for it. She sat up in her cage, and clanged her hoof against the bars of the cage. Red Rune awoke immediately, and span around to face Rainbow. “Oh hey, you`re awake. I brought you some friends!” Rune got up off of the floor, and began to walk over to the opposite side of Rainbows cage. She pulled off a large piece of fabric from another cage, and let the fabric fall to the ground.

Inside the Cage was a rather pale looking stallion. He was a unicorn, and was very malnourished. Rune reached through the bars of his cage and popped the side of his head with her hoof, waking him. “Where am I?!?! Whats happeni-“. The stallion was interrupted by Rune, who signalled at the door. A cruel looking Unicorn entered, and she was NOT happy. The unknown mare had a blue and black mane, and had a grey coat. Her cutie mark was a large, spiked cyan crystal. She strolled up to Rainbow Dash, and unlocked her cage. Rainbow did not budge, but the unicorn was not impressed. She pulled Rainbows tail, and yanked at her wings with her magic. Eventually, Dash gave in, letting the unicorn pick her up and put her in a larger cage. The same happened to the Stallion, who was put in the same cage as Rainbow. “We`ll let you two talk for a while…” Rune said as she and the other mare strolled out of the room, shutting and locking the heavy steel door.

There was a long pause after the captors had left. But the unicorn soon plucked up the courage to speak. “So… um what is your name? I am Mabylon.”

“My name is Rainbow Dash, but they seem to know me as Dashie. So how did you end up in this place?”

“I am unaware. The last thing I remember is walking in the Everfree forest with some friends. Why are you here?”

“Apparently I flew too fast or something. Well, I am the best flier in Equestria.” Rainbow smirked, even though she knew it was inappropriate for the situation. Mabylon shrugged and leaned back onto the floor. He was clearly very tired and upset, but he still tried to hide it. “Hey do you know the name of that Unicorn. I haven’t seen her before. She looked mean…” Rainbow Dash said, trying to stir up more conversation. But the unicorn did not want to talk. It was then that Rainbow Dash realised how hungry she was. She wondered how long she had been sleeping, and it must have been a long time if she had deteriorated this much. “Hello? Master? Can you hear me?” Dash shouted, echoing around the room. The door swung open and hit the wall, denting it a little. Rune walked in, a little cranky. “I see you got a hold of my preferred name. Yes, what is it?”

“Is there anything I… I mean we, can have to eat?” Rainbow Dash did not like calling Rune master one bit, but she had to if she wanted to get anything. She did not want to get into a ruk with the deranged mare, as she knew she had murderous tendencies.

“Ok, I will go get something right away.” Rune hurried off giggling to herself, but was soon back. She was carrying a tray, with large skewers on top. The skewers had several chunks of cooked meat on them, slightly steaming. “I made them myself, I hope you like it” A look of genuine sincerity appeared on Runes face, and she looked from Rainbow Dash to the tray slowly. Rainbow bit into the meaty chunks, and there was a deep crunch. It didn’t taste half bad. The juice slowly dripped off the meat, and splatted on the ground.

“Hmm, what is it? Tastes familiar… It`s like that little hidden taste in Pinkie Pies cupcakes.”

“Oh, that is pony. I used part of poor little Lyra for those ones… Nice huh?” Rainbow Dash continued to chew, and still swallowed the meat. It was all she had to eat, and she wasn’t about to throw it away because it was cannibalism. Mabylon was horrified, and spat out the meat onto the floor. He turned around and threw up through the bars, coughing up chunks of Poor Lyra.

“WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?” Mabylon shouted, pushing Rune off balance with his Magic. His rage intensified, and he picked Rune up and smashed her into the ground, with a sharp crack sound. Blood started dripping out of Rune`s nose,  and she got up in anger.

“SACRAMENT GET HERE NOW! “ Rune shouted, spraying blood into the air. Sacrament, which was the name of the Unicorn, quickly trotted into the room and gasped in surprise at the state Rune was in. She stared at Mabylon intently, a deep anger in her eyes. Suddenly, something in Sacraments mind snapped, and she lifted Mabylon into the air, spinning him as he ascended. She looked down, and he fell at great speed. There was a bone shattering crack, and Mabylons body stopped moving. He was dead.

Five long hours passed, and Rainbow had been moved into a large, open room. There was a table, a few chairs, a bed and a wardrobe, all of which were old and bleak. On the table there was a small wooden bowl and a tray, presumably for Rainbows use when getting food. There was a small window in the wall going into an illuminated room next door. This is where the cooking equipment was. This room is where Rainbow Dash would stay for the rest of her time here…
