Nathan's Visit

Shining Armor and Princess Cadance had decided to let Nathan spend a few days in Ponyville with Twilight and the others in order to take a break from his duties of watching Skyla while they were doing royal duties, anyway Nathan was in the train bound for Ponyville wearing a Hot Wheels car shirt, a Chevrolet cap on backwards, blue jean shorts, and Nike shoes and socks. He was listening to some country music on his iPod, when he felt the train come to a halt.

"It's 'bout time this steamer's slowed its brakes." he whispered as he got off the train with his duffle bag and to do bag in tow. As soon as the train platform was no longer in view he put is earphones back in his ears and turned back on his music while trying to find the Castle, as he was walking along, singing to the lyrics on his music, he started doing some thinking about what he going to do these few days while he was in Ponyville.

As he was walking the castle soon came into view, quickly he ran towards it and approached the entrance, Nathan sat his bags down and knocked on the door, and the one to open it was Spike.

"Oh hey Nathan." Spike greeted

"Hi Spike." Nathan said.

"Well come on in." Spike said, carrying one of Nathan's bags.

"Thanks Spike, you're savin' me an extra hand." Nathan said as he and Spike entered the guest bedroom that he usually slept in whenever he came to visit, as soon as he got settled in he looked around the castle and saw that Twilight was nowhere to be found.

"Hey Spike, where's Aunt Twilight?" he asked

"Oh she's at the market getting some stuff for dinner tonight." Spike said

"What are we havin'?"

"She's making carrot stew."

Nathan slurped his lips, "Heck ah'll take her carrot stew over anythin' else, cause nopony makes it better than her." he said, he didn't even hear the door open and close when he said it, there was a low chuckle.

"I heard that sweetie." said a voice at the entrance, Nathan turned around and saw that it was none other than Twilight levitating two grocery bags full of ingredients for the stew, Nathan gasped in surprise.

"AUNT TWILIGHT!!!!" He screamed with joy, he then ran up to her and jumped into her hoof, Twilight caught him as she laid the bags down gently.

"How's my #1 nephew doing today?" she asked

"Ah'm fine Aunt Twilight." he answered.

"Surprised you, didn't I?" she said with a smile and cocking an eyebrow.

"Ya'll betcha, ah' like surprises." he said giggling.

"Well come on sweetie, I've got to get dinner ready." she said, levitating him down to the floor.

"Oh Nathan Fluttershy said to me that there is someone else here that wants to meet you while you're here." Twilight said as she walked into her kitchen.

"Really who?" Nathan asked

"You're going to have to wait, but hint it's someone we talked about when you first came here." she said. "But to make you happy, I've invited everypony over here for dinner tonight, so it will be a while for dinner."

"Well what am ah' s'pose to do?" Nathan asked.

"Well if you didn't know, I've got a whole set of Daring Do books for you to read, oh and plus Rainbow Dash has got the newest one."

"The newest one," Nathan said excitedly "what's it called?!"

"Daring Do and the Ring of Destiny."

"Well if it's new let me have it." Nathan said jumping up and down.

"All right Nathan calm down." Twilight said, "Rainbow Dash said she will bring it over for you to read, and she also said you're going to love it."

"Oh well ok." Nathan said.

Later that night Nathan was sitting on his aunt's throne chair listening to his music on his iPod and reading the last Daring Do book before the new one had just come out, as he finished reading the last page and closed the book, he was soon startled by the sound of somepony knocking on the door.

"I'll get it." Spike said running to the doors, when he went over to open the door, it was Fluttershy along with Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack, Rainbow Dash was holding the newest Daring Do book in the series in her mouth for Nathan to read.

"Hey Fluttershy, hey girls."

"Hi Spike." they all said.

"Hi darling." Rarity said giving Spike a kiss on his cheek, Nathan watched and snickered at this.

"Now where's Nathan, I've been wanting to give this to him." Rainbow Dash said dropping the book into her hoof and holding it, that's when they quickly saw Nathan sitting on Twilight's throne chair with ear buds in his ears listening to his iPod.

"Hey everypony, s'up?" Nathan said

"Hey Nate, I've got something here for you." Rainbow Dash said, giving him the book, when Nathan looked at the cover and saw who was on it, he was shocked.

"Rainbow Dash, how did ya get so lucky?!" he asked in surprise.

Rainbow Dash didn't want him to know the fact that she was real and that she had helped her defeat Dr. Caballeron and Ahuizotl and save her from a ceremony, plus save the ring from falling into evil hooves, so she decided to lie to him.

"Well I entered a contest to be on the cover, and I won." she said, chuckling nervously, Nathan stared at her and just went on.

"That explains a lot." he said about to walk upstairs to start reading it.

"Nathan sweetie, you're going to have to read that later, because dinner is almost ready." Twilight said, levitating bowls and utensils to him and to her friends, and Spike, next she levitated cups with ice in them.

"Twi' ya' expect us to drink the ice itself?" Applejack asked in confusion.

"No Applejack, I'm wanting you all to go and fill it up with water or tea." Twilight said.

Suddenly Nathan remembered something, he went over to his bag, opened it and found it, a fresh bottle of Mountain Dew still cool. He then walked back to where his bowl, utensils, and cup were waiting and poured his Mountain Dew into his cup.

"Nathan what's Mountain Dew?" Pinkie Pie asked

"It's a brand of pop back on mah' world, ah' went to visit with mah' friends in Dallas this mornin' and they took me to a small store and bought this fer' me."

"Well that was mighty nice of 'em." Applejack said.

"Hey what kind of friends wouldn't they be, if they hadn't?"

"All right enough mumbo jumbo talk, let's eat." Twilight said.

As they were eating, Rarity took notice of what Nathan was wearing.

"Nathan, darling, that's mighty outstanding shirt you're wearing." she said

"Fank Fou." Nathan said with mushed carrots from the stew in his mouth, he then swallowed.

"Ah' mus' say Nate, it's a nice design, but ah' don't think ah've ever heard of 'hot wheels' before." Applejack said

"Yeah "Hot Wheels' must be a cool thing, but what are 'Hot Wheels'?" Rainbow Dash asked

"They're little cool designed toy carriages that are so popular on mah' world, even adults collect them."

"Well you got to show me sometime kid." Rainbow Dash said, taking a bite of her carrot stew.

The next one to talk was Fluttershy.

"So Nathan, you ready to meet this new person I've been telling you about?" she asked

"Yes, and ah've already guessed that's it that draconequus Discord, isn't it?" Nathan said

"You guessed correct." Fluttershy said.

"When do I get to meet him?" he asked.

He and everypony else were soon interrupted by a flash of light.

"Did somepony mention me?" said a voice from the light, from Nathan it sounded like a British like accent soon a body formed and the light faded, what Nathan saw surprised him. It was a creature, but it was no creature he had ever seen. he had the body of a dragon, a hoof and a foot on his backside, a hand and a eagle foot on his frontside, a red tail with white hairs on the end of it, a Pegasus wing and a bat wing on his back, a small white beard, white eyebrows, red pupils around big yellow eyes, two separate alike antlers on his head, and a big tooth sticking out of his mouth.

"Sweet nibblets!" Nathan said.
