Prologue (Grammar Revised)

I'm not the best writer I know and I need you to help me improve! Please take the time to point out any grammatical errors and such.
Prologue (Grammar Revised)
It is about 6:00pm in Equestria and you found yourself weary of your performance that just ended minutes ago... everything happened just as it would normally happen the members of the orchestra packed their things and tried to decide where to go for an "After performance celebration." But you weren't quite finished packing up from the nightmare of a time here in the royal ballroom. But neither was Octavia Philharmonica, you didn't give it much thought. Even though you liked here ever since your first met her a few years ago when you got thrown into Equestria you never had the courage to talk to her, let alone flirt with her!
Even as a 23 year-old man you felt as if you missed 'home' a lot, but you were happy that those memories were gone for the fact that most of the time you were just browsing the internet for porn. Life on earth: sucked your parents never really understood why you watched the infamous show about "magical ponies and rainbows!" (As your parents would call it.) Your father even kicked you out of the house for a meaningless argument about the show! As life went on you used your music skills to bum some money for a meal. A McDonalds Dollar menu item was enough to get you by for the day but still left you hungry for the long cold nights.
About two months after your father evicted you, you were walking along the streets at night like a bum, clothing all tore up and cuts and bruises along your body. Crossing the street wouldn't really make a difference, right? Some may think so, but to you this street was where your old life was left behind and a new one had finally come. You got hit as you walked across the street by a drunk driver running completely ignoring the red light; most people would think that would be a safe time for walkers or hobos to cross the street.You had waited for the cross-walk light to reveal a figure that resembled a person walking - this meant it was your time to cross the street. Little did you know that in a few moments your life on earth would end.
As your body gets tossed around like dice in a cup by the car your life flashed before your eyes. Your parents, your friends, your future, were gone. Your body's senses seem to have faded and your vision had turned to a pitch black. Your soul slowly left your body and you saw a replay of the event of what just happened. You never thought you would ever see your own death like this, so innocent and painful. You thought to yourself about how they shouldn't have been driving out and about with their ricer Honda Civic that was now covered in blood and a body stuck front window. Moments after your spirit just wished to cry and you much obliged.
As soon as you started doing so your guardian angel appeared and to much of your surprise it wasn't a man or a woman. It was Celestia herself! Afraid of what she would have thought of you, you quickly wiped your tears away and looked up at her still red eyed from your breakdown, you hear her start humming in an event to try to calm you down. After what seemed to be an eternity you just stood there looking at her fellow princess wondering what she's even doing there.
"Anon, there is no need to worry you're going to be alright" After all that has happened you can't even think of things being even a bit better so you looked at her with a puzzling look and she just gesture at you to get on her as if she wanted to take you somewhere.
But you replied to her with a "are you sure?" Celestia nodded you mounted on her back and she began to lift gradually off the ground something about that moment made you so soothed like a baby hearing there mother's heart beat.
You forget all of life's struggles simply got replaced by happy memories. After some time you just seemed to have fallen asleep and payed no attention to what was going on around you. Clestia had taken you to Equestria itself! But you were still asleep so how would you know? After your best rest in your whole life you were just rudely awaken by her majesty herself. You thought it was always rude to wake someone up from a deep sleep. But you were happy she did, as you were awe struck everywhere you looked you were surrounded by magnificent displays of art in the glass windows that showed the adventures Celestia and Luna had together tapestries hung off the walls showing the importance of the equestrian nation. "Rise up Anon for your new life has begun!" and so you did as your princess commanded but also took a knee to her because after all she was royalty! Maybe she was right and things were really going to get better.
You stand up and asked "What now?" She looked at you almost sideways wondering what the buck your talking about! "Am I a slave?" you asked with worry in your voice.
"Why of course not! You are free to do as you wish from now on along Equestria." You always wanted a fresh start, maybe this could be your perfect opportunity to go for what truly inspired you, music! The royal orchestra seemed like it would fun and you would be famous for doing what you loved! It was what you grew up with, music was the prefect substitute for the parents that never wanted you and for the life you hated.
"Is there any chance that I can get into the royal orchestra?" You emitted as you had no other passion, no drive. Well besides a pretty woman.
"Only the best of the best get in, do you consider yourself worthy?" and you're replied with a simple nod She doesn't have a clue about my abilities! and so she gestures you to follow her to a room full of instruments. You gazed at them in awe, never before have you seen so many instruments all together in one room. You quickly spotted a double bass which was your favorite instrument under the piano that is. You grabbed the bow and found the nearest wax to wax your bow with so you could get the most crisp sound possible. Sure you would even without any wax as you were a master at you art. Gently you put both bass and the bow in position, you started to play your best trying not to screw up even though here and there you heard a few flaws. After a 6 minute performance you put away the bow and bass and took a bow to your princess who was highly impressed. Score! you thought to yourself as you gave yourself a mental pat on the back. "Anon you never told me you were such a skilled musician!"
You began to blush "Well considering I spent most of my life practicing music where can I go wrong?" you say boldly. "I definitely think you're ready for the orchestra!" the feelings were so eminence you just felt like you wanted to kiss her at the moment! But decided not to, to save you from having to explain why you did that to anypony else later. You were just the happiest man in Equestria and the only one too!
"So when am I able to meet the rest of ponies in town?" you asked politely not wanting to abandon Celestia right after you basically just met her.
"You may go as you please now, I will stay here and write a letter to the conductor of the orchestra of your arrival and joining of the group." What kinda shit is this? I mean all of my life I have been dreaming for something like this to happen and now that it's finally here I'm at a loss for words!
"I... I... I don't know how to thank you!" you said as you headed toward the exit. You found yourself a bit confused on the navigating side of things but after a good 10 minutes of going in circles you finally managed to find the exit. At the exit you noticed the royal guards staring you down like a piece of trash, even though you were about a head height bigger than they were. As you exited you saw the hustling and bustling streets of Canterlot nobody seemed to pay any attention to you even though you were a human which did surprise you a lot.

11:00 am, Near Applejack's Family Farm
You woke up seemingly in the middle of nowhere, your head hurt like there was no tomorrow and you just remembered that had a meeting in Canterlot, and by this time you were already late! If everything worked out you could have gotten there in about eight hours by train. But first you would need some bits for the passage. "Ugh, shit that was one party last night." you grumbled. Sitting there looking around you, you looked for clues of where you were. You never saw so many apple tree's in your life! "Shit I must be at Applejack's place!" You couldn't remember a single thing from the previous day besides the part when partied your ass off! You stood up, still a little tipsy from all of the liquor you had yesterday. You almost fell while trying to get up, but caught yourself. With a major headache still going through your head you didn't feel like doing anything all you wanted was just a cup of coffee.
Since you were in Applejack's farm you figured you could see if they needed any help so you could earn a few bits, as a ride to Canterlot isn't free. You slowly start moving towards the house where Applejack lived. The farm itself was very big, as far as the eye could see, there were apple tree's. As you walked along the tree's you thought aloud "How the hell does somepony do something like this every single season? Shit I think I would die from doing something like this..." you caught your breath from the long walk, You weren't very fit to run after you had thrown up a couple of times earlier that night. You walked by the barn and saw that Applejack was having trouble fitting some new wheels for one of her wooden carts. Seeing this you walked closer to the entrance "Do you need any help with that?"
All you heard was her struggling. "Hey Anon, I sure could use some of your help to fit this here wheel onto the axle! I mean I got on here but It keeps squeaking!" She looked confused so you tried to remember what little you could from your auto shop class in high school.
You then remembered that a bit of oil should do the trick based on what type of axle she had on the cart "back in my day of fixing stuff like this at school my teacher told me that all axles should be oiled have you done that Applejack?" Remembering this you were a life saver. To bad we don't have any WD-40 in Equestria...
"I think I have some oil laying around in a jar somewhere" she started looking for it and for a few minutes she had been gone so you had stood up and went to go find her and when you did by the way her facial expressions looked it was like she had something out of reach. So you walked to closer her and looked up on one the shelves and there it was, the jar of oil that was needed to eliminate the squeaky sounds. You clearly had the height advantage over her because being around six foot really helped tower over things and ponies. A three and a half foot earth pony like Applejack was simply no match.
Walking over to wheel you set down the jar and began removing the wheel. "Applejack look closely i'm going to show you how my teacher from school taught me how to do this, this may not be the best type of lubricant out there but it will work. Remember having some is better than having none at all." The nut holding the wheel to the axle was finally removed and you held up the kart with one arm and stuck your hand in the jar of oil so you could oil the axle. After that was done you simply attached the wheel back on and let the kart rest on the wheel, while tightening the nut back on you say "Now you see that wasn't that hard."
She just simply smiled and replied "Thank you Anon that was really annoying me; would you mind helping me around the farm a bit?"
"Sure but I need some bits to get to Canterlot and back because I need to meet with the royal orchestra but I have no way to get there. I pretty much missed the meeting already so I guess I can work for you for a bit... " at this rate I can probably finish in a few hours and get there by six-ish
"Sure Anon I can give you some bits but first you gotta do some work around here." she gestured to you to follow her.
You walked with her to an apple tree and said "What now?" Confused as to what she was trying to get you to do.
"Lets see how good you are at getting apple's!" Ugh, this is going to be a long day... So you climbed up the tree and started to shake the branches until until all of the apples fell off. Using this method took you about thirty seconds to clear a tree, and jumping from tree to tree also cleared a few apple's but after falling a few times you decided that jumping from tree-to-tree wasn't the best idea ever.
After a bit of practice you were able to get a tree down in about 20 seconds.
"Hey Applejack i'm going to go to the edge of the orchard!" Since you kind of lagged behind the rate that Applejack bucked the tree's you thought it would be best to go to the edge of the orchard as to not have her wait for you.
All you heard from a distance was "Go ahead i'll meet you in the middle!" So you started walk to walk toward the edge of the orchard. By the time you were there you were overheating like crazy! The sun was high in the sky boiling anything that was in it's way. You were toasted and the fact that you were going to have to clear all of the tree's didn't help out much.
Slowly you began to shake the tree that was closest toward the edge of the fence. I feel like i'm going to spend a few hours doing this...
6:00 pm, Applejack's family farm
Cuts and bruises along your arm, with a weary look on your face you return to apple jack in the middle of the orchard. "How can you do this so much?" you said panting as if you had just ran a marathon.
"There's really nothing much to it Anon it just needs some effort!" That back breaking effort was about to kill you! "Here you go, twenty four bits for some hard labor today. I really appreciate it Anon, especially for fixing that noise on the wagon! I swear to Celestia I was going to go crazy hearing that!" She said jokingly hitting you on the shoulder. She had handed you your hard earned bits and you both waved goodbye. You had followed the trail out of the orchard and started heading toward the train station.
You knew it was going to be a long ride there and if everything went well you would arrive in Equestria around midnight. Sure you missed your very first meeting with the royal orchestra, but as long as you came there right? Noticing the train station from a distance you started to run toward it. Running to the train station was like a simple walk compared to the run you had at the orchard. Arriving there you looked to see the scheduled routes and thank Celestia the train to Canterlot was only a few minutes away from arriving here.
Walking up to the ticket master you gave him twelve bits in exchange for a ticket for the train to Canterlot. "Ticket for the Canterlot train, please!" you said as you gave him a stack of 12 bits. After purchasing the ticket you put it in your pocket so you wouldn't lose it. It wasn't fully in your pocket though, halfway sticking out of your pocket your ticket to the train wan't as safe as you thought it was. After a few minutes the time came for you to get on the train. You stood up and boarded the train, but as you stood up your ticket had simply fallen out of your pocket due to your poor sense of responsibility. You noticed the ticket master on the train was already collecting tickets from the front of the train.
As you sat down you instantly noticed the difference between a metal bench and a leather seat. "mmm..." you let that escape your mouth as you relaxed on your seat. Nopony was really sitting next you, which pleased you because you loved to enjoy the scenery quietly, even if it meant sitting there by yourself. Seeing the sun set was a pleasure because it reminded you of your dream with Luna. The doors to the train soon closed and the train started to move.
The ticket master was getting ever so closer to you, so you decided to check your pocket for the ticket but felt nothing... What the? "Shit!" How the hell could I have lost it I swear I had it! The ticket master had eventually made his way to your car slowly opening the door time seemed to slow down, sweat began to drip from your forehead. You looked in absolutely all of your pockets and found nothing...
"Ticket please" holding out his hoof he pleaded for what you did not have but paid for. You lost it...
"Hey, I don't know what happened to my ticket I bought it and now I don't have it!" you stammered Shit I really hope he's not going to get anybody after me, or put me in jail! You almost wet your pants right there thinking that you would go to jail not even after your first week being here in Equestria!
"Well how much did you pay for you're ticket?" he looked at you as if this wasn't the first time somebody did this on the train.
"Twelve bits... sir..." Unsure of what his intentions were you trembled at his words.
"Then you will pay twelve bits again. I'm sorry to say but this train isn't free!" he blurted out at you.
So you pulled out your last twelve bits that were supposed to be spent on a trip back to ponyville and surrendered them. You could have easily just knocked him up side the head and taken your money back, perhaps even disposing of him to out of the train. But you would never murder anypony! To you it just felt wrong to even hit anyone back on earth so why hit anypony here? But you always assured yourself that if the time ever came you would knock the living shit out of who ever messed with you!
Shaking your head you face palmed yourself for losing your very own ticket. "Everything is so expensive I can't imagine the Canterlot market prices!" Trying to calm yourself from what just happened you looked at the scenery outside that seemed to fly by. You took a moment to take a deep breath and enjoy the setting sun. After about 30 minutes of simply passing barren land the occasion had set you in a drowsy mood. So you closed your eye's and rested your head against the wall of the passenger car. You drifted off into a haze and fell asleep.
Midnight, Canterlot train station
"Wake up!" You turned to your side in annoyance. "Hello!" "For the love of Celestia wake up!" All of a sudden you realized that the train was at a complete stop and that the ticket master was yelling at you to get up and leave.
You complied by rubbing your eyes and standing up. Looking for a exit you scan both direction noticing that the closest one was on the right side you go and leave the train. To only be invited by all of the noise that you hated.
"This city must never sleep!" You pleaded, trying to remember where you met rarity was probably your best chance to finding the castle again. "I think it's down that street and to the... left? I don't know I might as well go and see." You thought to yourself about the fact that the streets were clearer than in the mornings. You across the street and by all of the market stalls that the owners bombarded you with. You stopped and looked to your left and only saw more of what you just crossed so you looked to your right and behold the behemoth structure was only 2 blocks away.
You started to approach the castle and soon you got close to the doors the guards were staring you down like the normally would. You opened the door cautiously, inspecting what ever you saw. The hallways were as beautiful as you had first remembered. You walked in fully closing the door behind you, and making sure not to make any sudden loud noises crept along the rooms. If only every place was this beautiful you thought to yourself while inspecting the stained glass windows. "It's beautiful isn't it?"
You almost jumped out of your skin "Who's there?" you looked in both directions but saw no one... Princess Luna is that you is that you? you knew she could read people's minds because if she did it in your dream she must have been able do it anywhere else.
"It is indeed I" you saw her walk into the hall you were in, and took a knee with a hand to your heart in her honor. You stood up and continued to observe the stained glass window, noticing every crisp detail about it. "Does thou wish to come with us into thy courtyard?"
"I would love to." You followed her to an exit that revealed a magnificent display of flowers and stars. "Wow, this is beautiful!" As you looked upon the sky the stars seemed to be two times brighter. I don't think i'll ever forget this moment, the stars, the night, and i'm here with her Luna all of a sudden looked away because the blushing was to much as it was
"Does thou truly feel that upon us?" she insisted that you had gave her an answer.
Shit!I totally forgot about that already...
All you heard from her was cute laughing. "Well a bit I suppose."
Trying to avoid an awkward situation not that already wasn't for you told her "I'm sorry if it made things uncomfortable."
"There not if you were wondering, I just haven't met anypony or perhaps human that appreciated the night as much as I do." You couldn't disagree anymore, nighttime was simply amazing and you often found yourself laying under the night sky observing what ever could be past your wildest imagination.
"Well your abilities are beyond my wildest dreams and you make the night a more special time than more than anything I've experienced in a long time." You felt like spilling your heart in sincere praise!
"There is no need to boast my name. For I am just as regular as you or any other pony." It kind of shocked you hearing her put herself down onto your level. After all you considered yourself a nobody.
"You're not as regular as you think" you replied back to her I could see you raise the moon again I would because you are the one and only, Princess of the night!" You gently grabbed her hoof and kissed it. Letting go you seemed to have made her feel a bit more happy.
"You know that life on earth wasn't anything like it is over here. Nobody raises the moon, nobody raises the sun, nobody clears the clouds. This place is amazing compared to where I was!" Going over your memories you never really had much to talk about besides music and My Little Pony. "Would you like to hear a bit of the things I've learned on earth?" Getting a nod of approval you turned around and gestured her to follow you. Heading towards the room full of instruments you had to quickly decide what you were going to play. After a quick decision you made it to the chamber of instruments. You had decided to go for a violin solo. You picked you picked up the violin and bow and positioned yourself. You started with a slow tempo and gracefully speed up.
After 10 minutes of pure joy to your ears, you had finally ended the song. "How was that? Only thing I've ever had time for in my life back on earth." you included as you put away the instrument into it's rightful place.
"It was very beautiful Anon!" a squee of delight came from her as she rejoiced at the masterpiece you had just finished playing.
"Thank you!" you said as you took a bow for her."Later today I should a meeting with the members of the royal orchestra. I just don't think I made a good first impression on them already because I wasn't able to make to the first one yesterday because I had no bits to get to Canterlot. In fact I really think I need some rest I have a big day today"
"You may sleep in my chambers if you have nowhere to go." She made an incredible offer at the moment and you knew you wanted the rest so bad.
"I mean if it's alright with you I will." Luna looked at you again and nodded, beginning to follow her to her room for a bit of relaxing and some deep sleep, you smile at her generosity. You never even thought that you would be offered a place to rest after losing all of your bits. I never knew ponies were so generous!
"You seem to be too." You gave yourself a mental pat on the back as you earned the princesses trust already. "After thousand years spent on the moon, I need someone to talk to at night and please me..." You were shocked at what you heard.
Was she really trying to get with me the whole time?
Your personal thoughts were no longer yours, but you shared them with Luna. "After all that I've been through, I only need the best to satisfy me."
As soon as you had heard that your pants began to bulge and you started to breath faster. You couldn't deny your feelings, she was smoking hot! 8:00 am, Canterlot Castle
You woke up with a thirst that couldn't be quenched even if you had drank the whole ocean! Looking around you realized that the events of yesterday weren't a dream at all. Luna was still sleeping at your side and you took a moment to take in what happened the night before. You looked at her and figured that she looked like a little angel curled in a ball. You were still naked from last nights 'ordeal' so you got out of bed and threw your clothes back on. Softly tiptoeing over to the other side of the bed, you leaned over and kissed Luna on the cheek and walked to the exit of her room. Luna's moon had fallen and Celestia had raised the sun, judging by the grumbling sound your stomach made, it was still breakfast. To bad I can't eat breakfast with Luna...
You had another meet up with the orchestra today because the meet up were a biweekly thing, twice a week every week. You knew that they weren't going to get the best idea of you since you didn't come yesterday. In approximately two hours was when the meeting was going to take place so you had a little free time and decided to go get some food first and go out for a walk. From what it smelled like the dining hall was not far from here, so you walked out the room and blindly followed the scent of french toast and what seemed to be apple juice. As the smell go stronger and stronger your stomach started to groan a lot more. Finally you found the source of the smell which turned out to be just regular eggs getting pan-fried...
You walked into the dining hall and sat down at a small table, as you just seemingly waited there for no reason you began to think about the welcoming party back in ponyville. Everypony there was so happy to have you there and you had a great time there. But here at the current moment this place was kind of barren, except for a few of the guards that were on their break and some civilian ponies. You were famished and after seamlessly wasting about 15 minutes just sitting there trying to fully wake up you were ready more than ever to get your coffee and pastries. "Erm, excuse me sir, can I get some coffee and some apple pie?" Seeing as everyone was drinking something to (presumably coffee) you wanted some too.
"Sure just wait a second and ill bake some fresh pie." the baker said with a happy tone. I guess doing what you love is the key to true happiness. After a few minutes of waiting the cook called for you to come and pick up your coffee and snack. You walked back to your seat and took a bite of the pie and your mouth exploded from all of the the flavor that was in the little piece of pie.
Oh my Celestia! This is fucking amazing! Eventually after you were done obsessing over the pie you just had you sipped on some of the coffee. The black coffee had given you the chills as you sipped on it, coffee wasn't really your drink of choice but on a lazy morning like that day it was a must! After Finishing your coffee and pie you stood up from your seat only to see Luna at the entrance of the dining hall.
"Thank you, for last night..." Whispered Luna.
"It was my pleasure!" Once again taking a knee. "So are you going to get anything to eat?" You asked.
"I'm not going to eat because the daytime isn't really my time to eat." She explained.
"Oh well... I need to go the royal ballroom for the meeting I was going to have. I guess we can get together sometime later for some tea." You waved good bye and started to leave out of the hall.
11:45 am, Royal Ballroom
You walked in the room and started to look around at the instruments. See that no one was there you decided to sit down and play some piano while waiting for the others to show up. Gracefully you start to press the key as to try and remember some of the things you learned as a little boy. The memories were oh so faint but you managed to sit there and practice for a bit until you felt confident enough to try some of your favorite pieces.

As you slipped a note you felt as if you failed the whole piece, and stopped playing. "Wow I never knew a rookie could do this good..." You were startled by the voice and looked to your right and there at the door stood one of the members to the orchestra.
"I had only learned what my father taught me." You sighed in sorrow of the painful last memory you had with your father.
"He must have been a professional! Oh i'm sorry I didn't introduce myself my name is Phillip but you can call me Phil, and your name is?" He asked.
"My name is Anon the only human in Equestria and the newest member of the orchestra!" You said proudly.
"Ah so your that new member that skipped out on yesterday's meeting..." Phillip gave you a dirty look and it slowly faded away into a smile. "No pressure or anything but why didn't you come yesterday? I mean it's not really the best way to start your career with not attending your first day..."
"Well you see I wasn't really loaded with bits when I first arrived to Equestria." Throwing him a face palm.
"Oh well I understand now, but how did you get here?" As soon as he asked another one of the members arrived, this time they weren't very happy to see you.
"Oh hey Octavia, this is our newest member of the orchestra! His name is Anon" Phil exclaimed.
"You mean the one that missed the meet up yesterday?" Octavia gave a face that was clearly not impressed already which you kind of figured was going to happen to just about everypony who saw you at today's meet up.
"He had good reasoning you know!" Phil defended you, as you were a newcomer.
Damn she's kind of tough to get through to, It's going to be a fun challenge getting to know her better...
You had began to inspect one of the instruments that were just calling you from the way they looked. Slowly you picked up the violin and set your bow across the strings. Beginning to play you zoned out anything that could and would distract you from your time of peace. A few minutes of gentle and harmonic movements of your hand and wrist your feeling of freedom slowly faded away as you tried to mix a sad ending into your solo. You finished to only have noticed the rest of the members and the conductor had arrived.
"That was quite the performance you had right there." Said the conductor as he inspected your skills.
"Thank you, uh..." You didn't remember him ever telling you his name.
"Jake, Sir Jake. But please just call me Jake only when we are at a formal event." The conductor said.
"Nice to meet you Jake!" You noticed that there were about 3 other ponies a part of the orchestra that must have arrived after you zoned out.
"You too Anon. Since you weren't here yesterday I need you to introduce yourself to the rest of the group." Jake said.
"Uh well okay... Hey everypony my name is Anon, as all of you know all already know I wasn't here yesterday." Octavia suddenly gave you a look disappointment.
Well shit I didn't know that being here was important enough to make her like that.
"The only reason I did come yesterday was because I didn't have enough bits for the trip to Canterlot. I hope all of you understand." You apologized
"Well as long as we have a proper explanation, it's all fine that you weren't here yesterday as long as you showed up today!" Jake said cheerfully. "Now, everypony we are going to do another performance this sunday in manehatten so I need all of you to practice the symphony called 'Equestrian dreams'. It should be the third symphony by Alex M." Jake had announced. With that everypony started to gather their materials and leave.
"You don't have any place to stay do you?" Phil asked.
"No, not in Canterlot." You replied.
Phil was set. "Then you can stay with me until next month."
"Really? That's really kind of you to do Phil!"
"No problem rookie! I've got somethings to show you when you and me get to my place. It's nothing special really it will only be the guest room." Phil gestured you to follow him outside and you did so.
