Intro
It was a dark and stormy night, the winds howled and thunder roared powerfully across a little apple farm. In front of a home on a porch stood two strange creatures wearing a coat to protect themselves from the elements of tonight. These were some strange creatures since they stood on twos and had hunch like backs. With them was a basket containing something but it could not be seen since it was covered up but it was moving around.
"Is this the place?" questioned the one on the right.
The other one on the left nodded it's head, "Yes, data shows this is the place..."
The two walked up to the porch and stopped at the door, pulled out the basket, placed it in front of the door and with 3 loud knocks they instantly disappeared. The noise was enough to wake up whoever it was inside and the lights went up, moments later the door opened and walked out a orange filly. It was a mare with a blond mane and a picture of 3 red apples was on her flank. She looked around but saw nothing until a sound made her ears perk up. To what she heard was the sound of a baby from below, coming from a basket that had something in wraps.
She unfolded whatever it was inside and gasped in shock and confusion as to what she was looking at. To what the filly was seeing was a wolf like pup in black fur all over. It had calm blue eyes and was looking straight at the filly without showing any expression of any sort. The two stared at each for what seemed like centuries until a voice from inside broke their stare off.
"Dagnabit Applejack, how long you going to let the house get wet from all this rain!?" shouted the voice.
The little filly snapped out of it and responded back, "Someone here left a baby dog, I think..."
"Well bring it on over and we'll have a look at it!" demanded the voice.
The orange filly nodded its head, "Give me a sec!"
She turned back to the baby wolf, picked it up with its mouth and brought it inside. It took less then 10 seconds for everyone inside to catch a glimpse of Applejack walking around with a wolf pup in a basket she was holding. Once the basket was set they gathered around and observed the pup.
"What do ya it is?" said a lime green pony with yellow mane showing a few grey lines, her flank had an apple pie on it.
"It's a dog." replied Applejack.
"Ya sure?" said a red filly slightly taller then Applejack with a orange mane, his flank was a half of green apple.
"Well...Not really." said Applejack quietly.
"Let me check er here." said the lime green pony.
She picked up the pup and examined but the little critter panicked, hoped off and ran over to Applejack. Everyone was surprised to see this but they all wondered why it went to Applejack and not back to its basket. Shaking nervously the pup weep in fear and nudged at the orange filly's leg. Applejack seemed confused but picked him up and placed the scared pup on her back and it instantly calmed down.
"Looks like you're the mother." said the lime pony.
Applejack's eyes widen, "W-wha!? Why me!?" she questioned.
"It's obviously thinks of you as er mother." replied the red pony.
At first Applejack didn't know what to think but soon a question hit her, "Name...What's its name?" she asked.
The two shrugged and walked back to the basket, upon inspection they found a note and written in it was a name strange to them, "Ar-mon-do...What in the hay is that?" questioned the lime pony.
Applejack shrugged then started thinking, "Not pony like...How bout Little Applemondo, Little Apple for short." she turned her head to the pup, "Ya like that name?"
The pup bark excitedly and its tail wag with joy, Applejack smiled, "Well its settle then." she picked up the pup and held it up, "Welcome to the Apple Family Little Apple!"
Little Apple bark with joy but soon yawned and soon enough, everyone did as well. A few seconds later they went back to bed, Applejack still holding onto Little Apple brought him to her room. She placed him on her bed and watched him for a moment, Little Apple did nothing at first but eventually he yawned and began weeping for warmth. Applejack smiled happily, quickly climbed onto her bed and cradled Little Apple. With a few adjustments Little Apple was fast asleep, the orange filly now a mother smiled and kiss him on the forehead.
"Night Little Apple, sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite." she said with a giggle.
Soon enough tiredness took over and her eyes slowly began to close shut, her last image was Little Apple, sleeping happily in his new mothers hooves. Little Apple slept happily, being kept warm in his new mothers hooves and with that, the story of Little Apple was born.
Chapter 1 Little Apple's Start
It was early in the morning, the farm was all muddy from last nights storm and it was still raining but the thunder passed. Applejack and Little Apple, both asleep in their room were rudely waken up when the lime green pony from last night came in smacking a pot and pan together while chanting a strange morning song. The two jumped right out of their bed and landed on the floor with thump, luckily Little Apple landed on Applejack's stomach but Applejack landed on her back.
"Rise and shine little ones! Breakfast time!" chanted the lime pony while leaving the room.
Applejack sighed with a smirk, "One of these days Granny Smith." she said, "One of these days."
She got up and was about to leave for breakfast until she stopped and turned around to her pup, "Can't forget ya Little Apple." she said cheerfully, "Lets go."
Little Apple seemed confused but hopped onto her back and was taken to the kitchen of the house. The whole way Little Apple observed every little thing, to the last picture of apples in the corridor Little Apple examined it. Applejack seemed to noticed but shrugged it off once the smell of cinnamon rolls hit her nose. Once they were in the kitchen Applejack placed Little Apple on the table and went to grab food for them both. Not knowing what Little Apple eats she just grabbed whatever seemed right for him.
While Applejack was gathering food Little Apple walked all over the table, sniffing the table and food that the red pony was eating. Of course he took a small bite of everything and was amazed by the flavor, the red pony smiled and gave him a piece of the food he was liking. Little Apple stared at the food in confusion then looked back at the red pony, he nodded his and Little Apple happily ate the piece in a few seconds. Satisfied Little Apple licked his face to get the bits off and barked happily, moments later the lime pony, known as Granny Smith, picked him up and looked in the eyes.
"Ya like fritters hm?" she said in a serious tone, "...Well why don't you have more!" she said happily.
She dumped a pile of fritters on Little Apple, Little Apple was caught of guard but soon ate his way out of the pile and burped loudly. Barking happily Little Apple sat down and watch his family finish their food, Applejack was going to feed him an apple but since he practically ate 5 fritters so she just saved it for later.
Once they were all done eating Applejack picked up her Little Apple and trotted on over to the living room. Little Apple seemed to remember the room but it was still new to him. The one thing that caught his attention was a basket sitting next to Granny Smith, the basket contained a very young looking foal. It had a big red bow on its head and it was sucking on a bottle filled with milk. Little Apple quickly hopped off Applejack's back and walked over to the foal. Little Apple reared his head up to see the foal, they soon met eye contact and the foal seemed interested in Little Apple.
Putting her bottle aside the foal approached Little Apple and stared at him, Little Apple did the same while wagging its tail and breathing with excitement. After a while Applejack noticed them both and walked over to them, she was confused on why they were just staring at each other like they did last night. She watched them both carefully but they did nothing, just stared at each other without making any move.
"So what do ya think of Applebloom Little Apple?" she asked.
Little Apple responded with a simple bark and licked Applebloom's face, the little foal giggled as she was slobbered by Little Apple saliva. Soon enough she picked him and hugged him but a little too tightly since Little Apple yelped in pain and quickly scoured off. This upseted the foal and she begun to cry loudly, Granny Smith quickly came to comfort her and gave her bottle. Once the foal had a few gulps of her milk she calmed down and decided to nap. Granny stared at Little Apple who was hiding behind Applejack's hoof.
"Don't ya worry Little Apple." she said, "She's just a baby, she don't know what she's doing."
"Maybe I should just take him for a walk." said Applejack.
"Ya think that'd be a good idea?" asked the red pony, "He is a little twitchy around new ponies."
Applejack nodded her head, "Just thought i'd bring him to Fluttershy to see if she can help us out on what we should feed him." she turned to the red pony, "Don't worry Big Mac, i'll be careful with him." she assured him.
The red pony known as Big Mac nodded his head, "Eeyup." he said plainly.
"Just make sure ya don't lose him." said Granny Smith.
"I won't." she replied, she turned to Little Apple, "Ya wanna meet ma friend Fluttershy?"
Little Apple nervously nodded his head and jumped onto his mother's back. Once he sat down and calmed down his excitement came back and he was barking and wagging his tail like before. Applejack chuckled as she watched her pup chase his tail around while on her back, she was really laughing cause it tickled her back but she didn't want to stop him. Once Little Apple had his fun Applejack made her way for the door but said goodbye to her family before leaving.
Outside Applejack made her through the muddy farm and and to the path that lead to Ponyville. Everything was a bit muddy but she was used to it anyway, years of mud wrestling with Big Mac has her rather fond to mud. While walking Little Apple looked at everything in awe, the trees, apples, mud, grass, bird, clouds, wind and of course his mother's waving mane. Everything around him looked interesting but Little Apple remained where he was since Applejack told him not to jump off. Content he was but he brushed aside the urges and just took in the environment around him.
This is only the start for Little Apple's journey for he will face many trails to come but for now, he'll just focus on being a family member of the Apple Family.
