I look over the world that I helped create, the foliage, the creatures and the skies and oceans. It was a calm sight, seeing no feral beasts destroying half of my world.
But, my mind has not been at rest ever since the animals here thought they controlled me, they saw me as an evil and dangerous God that could obliterate entire continents for my own entertainment (Which a can do, if angered enough).
They sent their princesses after me and turned me into a stone decoration. This did nothing but gain the attention of my two colleagues. Those two told the animal's rulers about the storm brewing above their heads, but did not try to calm me. When I broke out of my prison, I created a beast that bathed in chaos and destruction, forcing him into doing my handy work.
The reign of Discord lasted for several centuries, all the while I was building a castle to isolate myself from the rodents of my world.
But any good story starts at the beginning, does it not?
"Charlie, your face is red." Stated the young teen, as she looked at said boy. She has been annoying him for the last 10 minutes now, and he was getting very angry with her.
"No fucking shit." Charlie muttered under his breath as his fists turned white from the pressure he was putting on them. The girl looked at him with a surprised face before slapping his arm with a book.
"What did you just say to me?" Ellie said as she still held the weapon. Charlie's neck cracked as he slowly turned his head to face her.
"No. Fucking. Shit." He fumed. She reached her arm back ready to hit him again. He reacted quickly, grabbing her arm and putting as much force on it as possible. The teenager cried out of pain, as others in the class started to stare at the two. Charlie glared at her as his face showed nothing but anger.
Ellie hastily slapped him with her other hand, with a defiant face.
All hell broke lose.
The table was instantly flipped and an extremely loud crack noise was heard by all in the classroom. All the while, the infuriated male was shouting at the top of his lungs, deafening the surrounding people.
"DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME!"
When the red cleared from his vision, the stronger guys in the class were holding him back as the girl cradled her now broken arm. tears streaming down her face. The teacher was crouching down by Ellie, checking her over before looking up at Charlie.
"Headmistress' office, Now!" she ordered as he struggled his way out of the force holding him back.
Charlie actions caught up him as soon as he set foot on the concrete of the pavement outside his school. He looked down at his shaking hands. His mind drowned in all his thoughts and questions.
What have I done?
Why?
How?
What now?
He answered the final one without help. He ran, he ran until he felt no one was watching his every move. The male finally collapsed in the middle of a dense forest, night had fallen and his parents were probably worried sick.
No He though, they probably want me gone when they heard what I've done.
And your friends?
...
Charlie leaned up to a tree, grabbing his legs and curling up. He wanted to cry, to let out all his built up emotions. But he didn't. He was going to become a man, and real men don't cry.
Yeah right...
As rain started to fall upon him, so did the tears from his eyes...
Several Days Later...
Owen and Harry were worried about their friend. He had been missing for three days and the searching party could not find a trace of him, they had looked everywhere in the town and local forests.
They had heard the news when their year got told about a student who went insane broke someone's arm in an assembly. The thought of Charlie seriously harming someone, a girl no less, was crazy and pointless.
Apparently not Thought Owen, as he looked at Harry. They had tried texting him, leaving messages on his social networks. Neither had worked yet, the friends he still had posted things like RIP and sorry, but the ones he lost and joined Ellie's side were saying that he deserved to get disowned and such.
This had started a whole controversy in the school year. Some taking sides and some trying to stay out.
The two young adults were trying to take their mind of Charlie for a little while, as they went on Youtube to see any funny videos, they saw a top rated video about a news report from the BBC, quickly passing that they scrolled down the page seeing many retarded lets plays and such.
But their eyes glanced at a clip called simply "help". That was not what gained their attention, it was the profile's name that uploaded said video.
Charlie Plays!
It was his channel.
"To all watching this," Charlie started "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for doing this. I'm sorry for starting some bullshit news reports and to my family... I'm sorry for running off." He gulped, as the phone's camera faced the ground. "I don't know if you will guys still want me around, but, in the case you don't, I understand."
"To my friends at school, I want you stop believing yourselves that I didn't mean to do hurt the girl. I obviously did." The camera paned up, with it showing a dark forest. "I'm scared out here. But I think I shall stay for a little while. Bye, Charlie." He ended the video as he went and turned on his 3G.
Harry and Owen had ventured into one of the remaining forests that was nearby, both thinking he had to be here. They brought fresh food, some clean water and a jumper, just in case.
They entered at dawn, so they had a full day to look for their lost friend. They called out his name, hoping he was within earshot.
Sadly, he wasn't.
Charlie had stopped trying after three days of surviving. He knew he was going to die from dehydration sooner or later.
This all happened because he got angry, that small slap had ended up ruining his life.
He closed his eyes, ready for whatever was next.
What came next was not what Charlie expected.
There they stood, looking over his cold, lifeless body.
They hoped it wasn't real, that it couldn't be happening.
Un-fortunately, it was. And it devastated them. Owen crouched down by the body, as did Harry, and saw what seemed to be a jewel on his chest.
Harry saw it too, and picked it up. He looked it over, before passing it to his companion. It left a blue imprint on his skin, and didn't come off when he tried to clean it.
Owen put the gem into his pocket, to give to Charlie's family later.
"What now?" Harry croaked, his voice was leaving him from the shouting earlier. No reply came, but they both started lifting the carcass off the ground, and into town.
Charlie was confused.
He was in a green meadow, with bright grass and flowers and a single tree.
He stumbled over to the lonely sapling, and collapsed in the shade. It was peaceful, and calmed his nerves.
The teen had no idea what had happened to him, one minute he was dying from dehydration and now he was in a beauty grassy plain.
Looking up, Charlie spotted a book stuck in the branches.
This only served to confuse him more, who in the right mind would leave a book in a tree?
None the less, he got up to tried to reach it, only to realise that the branch stood well over a metre above his head.
Wishing for a stick or something to push it with, he sat back down, right onto something brown and sticky.
It was a stick! That wasn't there before... He thought to himself, as he grabbed it and started pushing the book off the branch holding it.
And, like an apple, fell from the tree right onto his head.
And so gravity was discovered Charlie hummed as he opened the strange novel.
Looks like you found yourself in a strange meadow, right? Well, no worries! You are in a world where you can create anything you want! You could create your own civilization to rule over, or you could think of the nicest things in life, and stay in the happiest place in the universe!
But, be warned! If you feel life making a sapient creature, it will have a mind of its own.
Love,
Yourself.
Charlie had no emotion on his face, he closed the book, and dropped it at his feet.
Thinking of all the things he could do, his mind wandered to a picture he found on the web, where a horse like creature was drawing pictures of smaller versions of itself.
I have the role of a god.
I can do anything!
But, lets have some company...
And, just like that, the first species was brought to this new planet.
It was small, about ankle height if it stood on all fours, it had a white coat, and red mane. A horn on its head and wings on either side on its small, fragile body.
"You shall be called... Faust."
The moon was high in the sky, illuminating the sky with its soft glow, the stars simmered and sparkled like they were all communicating to each other.
Down on Earth, two teenagers tossed and turned in their beds. Their minds seeing only dead eyes and lifeless bodies.
Sleep was not coming soon to these two.
Owen clawed at his covers and climbed out of his bed, his bare feet hit the cold floor as he shivered.
The journey over to the bathroom felt like it took forever, the images continued to race through his head.
He reached the sink, and splashed his face with the freezing cold water. He looked up at the mirror, seeing a teenager with large bags under his eyes and messed up hair looking back.
He sighed, before twirling around and heading back to his bed. But, unknown to him, there was a discarded can on the floor waiting for a victim.
It waited no longer as Owen's foot crashed onto the drink, making him slip right onto the edge of his bed.
He went to sleep for the last time.
Harry's hands were grasping the pillow on top of his head, his knuckles pure white. He fared no better then Owen, but stayed in his bed.
He continued to cry into his fluffy friend, it being stained with his tears.
In the corner of his room was a dark cloaked figure, watching the teen with sympathy in its eyes. None the less, it had a job to do.
It crawled over to the edge of his bed, lifting it's arms up...
More sobs...
The dark, shadowy hands pushed down onto the pillow, blocking Harry's mouth and nose from oxygen. He struggled and kicked as his arms shot up and tried getting rid of the disturbance.
His movements slowed, before ending up stopping completely.
Owen could not feel any of his limbs, the only thing he could move was his head and eyes.
Wherever he was, it was warm and soft.
He heard a groan, and quickly twisted his heard to the sound. When he opened his, the sunlight flooded his eyes, blinding him for several seconds.
He was lying in a field, with another person next to him.
It was Harry, lying face down on the ground.
What the hell?
His arms and legs finally gained enough power to move. Owen poked the breathing body before quickly getting onto his feet.
His eyes scanned the plain for any life or civilization, getting more and more worried as he saw nothing.
Harry groaned again, as his eyes groggily opened.
"... What's in my mouth?" He hummed as he lifted his body off the grass. He spat out some dirt before looking around.
The two males eyes met each other before both of their faces gained a worried look.
"Where are we?" asked Harry his voice overflowing with worry.
"I have no idea..."
Charlie carried the small horse like creature in his arms, he had no idea why he made this animal, but he liked it.
Not it, her.
A smile crept unto his face as he watched the small filly look up at him. Her blue eyes glistening with wonder and curiosity, as her little hooves reached up for his face.
Tears formed in her eyes when she couldn't reach, and soon after, she started crying.
"No, no don't cry, I'm here, I'm right here" Charlie said softly, as he brought his head closer to hers.
Faust's tiny forearms rested on his nose, a cute giggle escaping her lips, and a quiet laugh from the teenager's.
Strange, he thought here I am, holding a tiny pony acting like it's father, when a few hours ago I was stuck in a forest.
It was starting to get dark, and the two had no shelter from the darkness approaching.
I could just create one for us...
And, just like that, a small cottage appeared.
Still scared, Owen and Harry wondered the plains, looking for any any sign of shelter or life.
Having found nothing, they walked back to the tree, and rested their heads on the bark.
"What are we going to do?" asked Owen as he looked at the horizon. No reply came from his companion, and when he looked to see if he was alright, he was standing up and staring at something in the distance.
"What? What do you see?"
"I see light!" Harry exclaimed, his voice filled with joy.
Owen's eyes shot open, as he scanned the location his friend was looking at, he too saw light. The two looked at each over, large smiles on both of their faces.
With a nod, they both started running towards the source.
Faust was sleeping in her own crib, while Charlie was looking at a window. Sighing, he turned around and walked other to the her. Leaning down and kissing her on the forehead, her tiny horn lightly poking him.
A small smile formed on her face, and her little wings fluttered. Charlie's heart melted there and then, he stayed there for a while, before twisting on his heels over to his bed.
He got comfy, pulling his covers over his body and turning off the light with a clap.
His eyes started to close, as the dream world accepted him in to their ga-
Several loud knocks filled Charlie's and Faust's ears as both of them became wide awake.
Faust started crying, as her little wings buzzed with fear. Charlie ran over to her crib, and picked her up, comforting her.
The door was knocked again.
I get it! Jeez
He groggily walked over to the door and heard two familiar voices.
"I hear a baby crying, I don't think this is a good idea..."
"Shut up, we'll freeze out there!"
Is that Harry and Owen?!
His hand shot out to the door handle before opening it slowly, Faust still being cradled in his other hand.
The two other humans went quiet as the door opened, wondering who was inside.
The baby was still crying when it fully revealed the occupants of the house.
It was a strange tiny pony, and... and Charlie?!
"This got awkward"
An hour had passed, Charlie telling his friends about this land and what happened just a few hours ago.
When he thought back, he found it strange how easily he adapted to this new world and his powers, Faust too.
Thinking of that particular filly, he wondered about the way they were related. He was only fourteen, and he cared for this little pony like a daughter...
A sister. That's what she was to him, and he loved her.
Many, Many Years Later
The land had evolved in many ways. New life sprouted in nearly every nook and cranny of Equis. The world being ruled by four gods:
Owen, a human with brown eyes, short hazel curly hair and being the smallest out of the three bipeds.
Harry, also a human but with green eyes, long curly hair and standing over Owen by about two inches.
Faust, an Alicorn with white fur and a red mane and blue eyes. She was about eye level with the others with the exception of her horn, giving her some extra height.
And the final god being Charlie, he held the most power and what he said, went. His eyes were blue like the sky, like his sister's. His hair was a light brown. And he was the tallest out of the four, with his sister's horn reaching his nose.
They ruled in harmony, all of them creating different types of plants, animals and islands.
Nothing had gone wrong in their reign over their world. Until now, that is.
~Switching to Charlie's View~
I sat on my throne, listening to these creatures moan and cry over how the lower class has been mixing with the nobles and other petty matters like that.
I've been on this planet for... well over a thousand years. I had stopped ageing at forty something years old, but I didn't stop growing taller or getting facial hair.
Me and the others started a kingdom a few years after our first encounter. Faust, still being quite young, was taught how to use her powers carefully. Making sure she didn't make some evil being that would kill us all.
Harry and Owen also had these abilities, and helped form a perfect world for us. Not having to be teach them what was right and wrong was also good.
But, after hundreds of years, we received roles. Harry controlled the land, creating landscapes and deserts and such. Owen had the sky and ocean to use to his will. Faust created animals and other living organisms.
And I? I saw, heard, and controlled everything. Everything belonged to me. I held the most power and responsibility. But, that came at a cost.
I had a weakness, a major one at that. I had to do everything carefully, I could cause huge earthquakes and hurricanes in the blink of a eye. I had nearly killed someone by glaring at them.
I was feared. I was hated, and I was being plotted against.
The equine like creature that was speaking to me had stopped talking, and stared at me expectantly. I raised an eyebrow, having no idea what the hell he had just said.
"I said, we need to create a wall to separate the peasants from us." The Noble said, annoyance clearly filling his voice.
My hand turned into a fist, anger swelling up inside of me. I twitched my eyes, and I slowly got up. My footsteps were heavy as I walked down the steps towards this stuck up bastard.
"You dare to speak to me like that?!" I shouted, inches away from his snout. "You dare to speak about the lower classes like that?! You have no idea what life is like to them!" He fell on his flank, backing away. Fast.
"I didn't mea-" I forced his mouth shut.
"Get out." I let him free, and as soon as I did he scampered away from my grasp and away from the castle.
A sigh escaped my lips. It had been a long day, listening to nothing but complaints. I let the guards have the rest of the day off and dragged myself to my room.
On the way there, I saw Faust's room. Empty, again. She most likely was seeing her friends again.
If only see knew how bad that is.
Being immortal had major consequences. All your friends will eventually die, no matter what.
Many, Many, Many Years later
Only one ruler sat upon a throne now.
'Celestia' was the name, and like the ruler before her, she was equine.
She listened to the moans and complaints of her subjects, each one worse then the last. The goddess only nodded and agreed, as she had not listened to most of what they said.
The final pony wondered in, it was a stallion with a strong build and a grey coat. His eyes were a bright blue, with a white mane. He had no wings on his sides, nor a horn on his head.
But, he had something. He said nothing as he wondered to the centre of the throne room. The stallion did not bow, neither he did he talk to Celestia. He only stared up at her, holding a piece of jewellery.
Celestia would not admit it, but this stallion creeped her out. He held no emotion on his face as he stood looking at her. Her guards tensing up, ready for anything.
His blue eyes traced for room, before finally ending up on one of the guard's spears.
The grey pony grew a smirk, before dropping the necklace on the floor.
And then, he turned around and left.
...
Silence filled the room, it was disturbing and sent chills up the everyponies' spines.
"He left something..." muttered the guard that got eyed up. He stalked closer to the object, feeling a disturbance radiating off it.
A yellow aura surrounded it, before magically lifting it off the ground. It floated towards Celestia, stopping before her face. The necklace suddenly burned up, leaving a frame with a note attached.
Her eyes widened, before looking up at her guards.
"Find that stallion!"
The note fell from the picture, onto the white marble floor, it reading;
Danger is heading your way.
And the picture inside the frame?
A strange ape like creature, holding a white filly, with a pink mane and a small tiara on its head.
