Twilight In Darkness

It was exactly a year after Blades death Twilight was standing at his gravestone it was the nicest gravestone in the cemetery it's writing was lined with gems. It said his name and his favorite quote which was "Only the weak are cruel. Gentleness can only be expected from the strong." He never really said that she thought to herself. Twilight went to his gravestone everyday hoping that one day he would rise from the ground. Although she knew his body was never recovered it disappeared the day that he died Celestia probably buried him in Canterlot. She spent her time reading books about death and Resurrection but she didn't know where his body was and she couldn't locate it either. She knew he was gone for good but she didn't want to believe it he will come back my love will save him she thought. Still at his grave everytime she came there she would cast the resurrect spell it never worked even though it was supposed to locate him when she cast it on his gravestone. It just back fired it would reflect back at her and she would drop to the ground panting in exhaustion. She walked home still sad why do I still go to his grave i miss him so much it doesn't help me she thought. She went inside to see Spike waiting there.

"Hey Twilight."

She sighed "Hey Spike what do you need."

"N-nothing i just want to know if there's anything i can do to cheer you up."

"No there is nothing you can do" She walked upstairs and laid down putting her face into her pillow and she cried. I killed him it was all my fault. She rolled over and stopped crying she laid her head down and tried to sleep. She heard a very soft voice she couldn't make out the words it was like a whisper in her ear. She lay there listening trying to figure out what it was saying. She still couldn't tell she opened her eyes and looked she saw Blade standing there she jumped off the bed and went to hug him. She reached out and what she thought was Blade exploded into a white smoke.

"Ha ha ha ha ha I am Death you cannot rely on the past Twilight. Your precious Blade is gone he isn't even in my domain he disappeared entirely he can't save you now prepare yourself because your time is coming. Soon."

She sat there and thought about what that could mean at least if i die i might be with Blade again. She was so sad that Blade wasn't actually there how could death trick me like that. One of the assassins walked in to the room.

"Sorry to interrupt you Twilight but i have something for you."

"What could you possibly have for me."

"We recovered some of Blades stuff." He handed her the sword Blade got from Ezio and the armor he had when he first came to Ponyville.

"Thank you" she took the sword and armor and put it in the corner where all Blades stuff was. The assassin left and she slowly fell asleep. The next day she woke up to all her friends in her room.

"You need to come with us sugercube i'm tired of seein you sad we all are" said Applejack with Lowell right next to her.

"Yeah i mean if that's ok with you" muttered Fluttershy.

"Really Fluttershy be assertive" yelled Rainbow Dash in the background.

"Guys it's great that your all here but i don't want to go anywhere."

"But i made you elegant clothes" said Rarity as she held up a new dress.

"We can get you a cake" said Pinkie Pie.

"Can you please leave i don't want to go anywhere i'm sad."

"Alright your coming with us whether you like it or not" said applejack as she picked up Twilight. She took Twilight to the barn and told her to open it. Twilight opened the door to see everypony in front of her.

"Happy birthday" everypony yelled out.

Twilight had forgotten it was her birthday but she still wanted to go back home and lay in the darkness of her room. She stayed only because her friends were there she didn't talk to anyone she sat there eating her cake. Yeah the stallion i loved died the day before my birthday that's great she thought. When she was done with her cake she walked out of the barn and went home. Everypony looked at her as she left they new she was said she was living life in the dark and everpony wondered if she would be able to get out of this. She got home and laid on the bed still feeling said she looked around the room she focused on Blades stuff i wonder what's in the present Celestia gave him. She did tell me to open it but i don't think i should what if it's something bad. She stared at it until she got so tired she passed out she woke up later in the night to see that the box was rumbling. It also has a faint glow to it that's it i'm opening it. She walked over and opened the box is this a joke there is another box in here she opened that box and pulled out a wrapped letter. She closed the box and opened the letter. She read it out loud to herself.

Dear Princess Celestia,

This is most likely going to be my last letter I am crushed under a house one of the builders sabotaged the rebuild. The building was about to crush Twilight so i had to push her out of the way i could not live with myself if she died. I just hope she knows even if i die i will always love her and my spirit will protect her. I can barely breathe i fear that all my bones have been broken if i do survive it will take forever for me to do anything again. If you receive this letter tell Twilight to leave my sword at my grave for me then my spirit can defend her. I have my armor on but i don't think it will save me. Goodbye Princess and tell my love Twilight goodbye for me.

Blade

She must have never gotten this letter she never came to me about this she took Blades sword and walked outside. I didn't realize how much he loved me i'm so lucky at least i know his spirit is watching me. She got to the cemetery and placed his sword down on the gravestone here you go my love. She walked back to her house once she got inside she sat on the bed Blade if you can hear me I will always love you. She fell back against the bed and got straight to sleep.
