Chapter 1
The Visions
"Ah!" screamed Quill Tale when he sprang awake.
"W-Where the hell am I?" He said to himself.
Quill Tale got up off the gravel he once laid upon. He looked down and was suprised! How did he get here! Where exactly was he? So many unanswered questions flew through Quill's head. He noticed that he was in his black hoodie, jeans, and white shoes. But it was very odd. His jeans were ripped, burned a little. His long brown hair was dirty, greasy and dusty. Quill looked down at his shoes, they were covered in dried mud. He took off his hoodie, seeing that it was ripped a bit, also covered in small amounts of blood hardly visible to the eye. A brush of wind came and chilled Quill's skin. He put his hoodie and hugged himself to generate body heat.
"S-So cold," Quill said while shivering, and observing his visible breath blow from his mouth.
Quill Tale looked around him, it seemed to him that he was in an abandoned warehouse, the more he wandered around, he noticed that he was in a steel mill. Quill gazed at the broken ceiling windows, the steel beams that held the roof were very rusted. He couldn't believe that the building was still standing with such lousy support! He kept walking across the gravel, dirt, and wooden planks that were beneath his feet. He saw that the walls were covered in graffiti, Quill also saw that beams of moon light came through the broken windows, illuminating a majority of the entire mill. Quill kept walking, on the way, he saw small pool of green water. What sat in the water were rusted pipes and construction helmets, the water had color of light moss green. It looked very toxic.
"My gosh... that looks radiated... I need to stay away from that," Quill whispered to himself.
Quill's ear then picked up a creaking sound. He looked up to where the sound was coming from, A rusted metal beam was creaking very loudly. The room started to creak too. Quill Tale frowned deeply as he looked up.
"Oh no," Quill said, "Fuck'n hell."
He picked up his feet and ran away from the beam as the bolts started to break off of it, the beam started to tilt, then drop from where it was attached to. The volume of the creaking sounds grew even louder! The beam started to fall, the roof with it. Quill looked back while running, seeing that the metal beam was going to fall right on him, he jumped to a wall on his left. He hugged the wall while the beam hit the ground, making a loud pound sound. Quill Tale turned his head to his left, looking at the part of the roof crumbling down to the ground.
"THAT WAS CLOSE!"
Quill got off of the wall, stepped over the beam, and walked on. Trying to find a way out of this place. Quill couldn't stand it here at all, he felt watched from all around. Quill would constantly look back to make sure that he wasn't being followed by someone. But then, he looked into the distance, and saw a glowing orange light.
"S-Someone's here! It might be someone who could help!" Quill told himself. "Wait... I don't trust it..."
Quill looked around the place he stood at, searching the terrain around him, he found a lead pipe. Good for swingin' it upside someone's head. Quill picked up the lead pipe and walked towards the orange glow. It seemed to be like fire, being that it's the most logical assumption to make at this point. Quill got to a wall, the glow was coming from around the corner. He peeked his head out and saw five men in worn out clothing sitting around a fire, roasting severed arms. Quill became sick to his stomach and quietly walked away.
"Where do you think you're going, pretty boy!?" a grotesque man said right in front of Quill Tale.
The man grabbed Quill's arm, but Quill quickly reacted by kicking the man in the stomach. The kick that Quill delivered forced the man back. Quill then charged at the disgusting man and swung the pipe at his head, making a large gash on the side of his head, also making him fall to the ground. Quill caught his breath and looked behind him. The five men were standing directly behind him holding large pipes, nail guns and spiked bats. One man came at him and struck his head with tremendous force, and all of the sudden, everything went black.
"Aaah!" Quill shouted as he opened his eyes, to see that he was in his classroom.
The class laughed at him while Ms. Cheerilee looked at him in a disappointed manner.
"Aw dammit, not again," Quill said. "Just what I need."
The bell rang, and the students grabbed their books and backpacks, and sped out of the room. A cute girl with Rainbow hair, wearing a blue and yellow soccer jersey let out her hand. Quill grabbed it and the girl helped lift him up out of his desk.
"You have a neck for interrupting the class! Hehe..." The girl said.
"I guess so, Rainbow Dash. Where's Soarin'?" Quill questioned.
"Right here," Soarin' said as he wrapped his arm around Quill Tale's neck. "You gotta quit sleeping in class, Quill! You're dreams are so insane that they're making you scream bloody murder!"
"Soarin', how many times do I have to tell you? I'm not having dreams, these are visions." Quill explained.
"Oh well, lets just get going, boys! Thunderlane is waiting for us outside," Rainbow Dash said.
Quill Tale then grabbed his book bag, wrapped it around his shoulders and walked out of the class with his friends.
"Don't forget, you three! You have to get the questions in Chapters 1-3 in by tomorrow!" Ms. Cheerilee said to the three.
Quill Tale raised a thumbs up to Ms. Cheerilee. She smiled as Quill walked with his friends down the hall. They soon made it outside the school. Thunderlane was flirting with Cloudchaser. Thunderlane didn't notice the three walk out of the doors. Rainbow Dash giggled as Thunderlane failed to impress Cloudchaser. Quill giggled with her.
"Yeah, you're waaay out of your league, pal!" Cloudchaser exclaimed playfully.
Thunderlane frowned, sighed. and brushed back is grayish white Mohawk. Cloudchaser walked pass Quill and the others, Thunderlane watched Cloudchaser walk away, leading him to notice his three friends.
"There you guys are! What took you so long? Quill dreaming again?" Thunderlane asked.
"Yep! Haha!" Soarin' replied.
Rainbow Dash, Soarin, and Thunderlane laughed. Quill Tale got enraged and raised his voice at them.
"Dammit, they aren't dreams, you guys! They're too REAL to be dreams. They're visions!" Quill Tale explained in slight rage.
"Calm down, Quill! Tell us about this 'vision' of yours." Rainbow Dash asked.
The four Senior high school friends moved from the school to the sidewalk. Quill vividly explained his vision in explicit detail to his friends. Soarin' thought it was weird, Rainbow Dash got interested, but Thunderlane didn't know what to think of it. Quill Tale talked about how hard he swung the metal pipe at the man's head. Quill knows the difference between a vision and a dream quite well! Ever since he started having these visions, he realized that they were even more real and vivid than dreams. He studied dreams and visions for awhile just to make sure that he WASN'T crazy.
"Wow, that was creeeepy..." Soarin' stated.
"I like how you smacked that dick-bag upside the head!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Bro, you would have been CRUSHED by that frigg'n beam, Quill!" Thunderlane reminded Quill
"But I found out that you forget half of your dream in five minutes after waking up. It's been 15 minutes since I woke up in class, and I remember every part of it. It was a vision, you guys. I'm telling you the truth, I'm not crazy!" Quill Tale exclaimed to his friends.
"Quill, we never once said that you were crazy! We just think that you're just having dreams. Well, here's my stop. G'bye, guys!" Soarin' told Quill.
Soarin' walked off of the sidewalk, across the street to his house. Rainbow Dash and Thunderlane remained strolling with Quill Tale.
"Okay, if they're not dreams, and just IF they're visions. Why is a vision so important to you?" Thunderlane asked.
"I read that in ancient times, they used visions to predict the future. Some came true while most of the visions they had were really dreams. I researched this, Thunderlane. I'm worried that I'll get a vision of something more horrific." Quill Tale answered.
Thunderlane then saw his house, waved his friends goodbye until the next day, and walked away. Rainbow Dash then smiled since Quill and her were all alone.
"So...uhh... Do you have a girlfriend, Quill Tale?" Rainbow Dash questioned while blushing.
"No," Quill said. "And honestly, I don't care as of now, Rainbow Dash. I've got more to worry about than relationships."
"Well, did you have any crushes in your life at all?"
"Nah, not really, Rainbow. I don't focus on girls too much. That doesn't mean that I'm gay! I just very occupied." Quill told Rainbow Dash
"I see. Well, if you wanna talk about anything, ANYTHING at all! Just call me, okay?"
"I'll be sure to, Rainbow Dash!" Quill Tale responded.
Rainbow Dash walked across the street smiling and blushing. She had a big crush on Quill Tale. Quill Tale was a person with a great, detailed personality. Quill and Rainbow Dash grew up ever since they were kids. She liked him because he loved to talk about anything openly and manage to get people interested in him. One thing he would never talk about was his dad, and Rainbow Dash knew why. It makes her worry about Quill's sanity every time she thinks about it. Eventually, Quill made it to his house. He opened his door, his mother sat on the couch, drinking a bottle of Peppermint Shnapps. Quill's mother, Stroke Tale was very abusive to him.
"Take out the damn garbage you delinquent!" Stroke Tale yelled.
Quill's smile from Rainbow Dash turned into a frown. The house was very depressing. Nothing ever exciting happened at this house. The house was alive when Quill's brother, Run Time, and Quill's sister, Shine-Bright were here. But since they graduated, they left and Quill was stuck with his single mother.
"I'll DO IT SOON, mom!" Quill shouted back
Quill's life wasn't exactly the best, as a matter of fact, his life wasn't even good. The only time he ever felt happiness was at school, with his friends. And after endless pain from his mother, he still loved her very much, because Quill knew why she was so mean, dirty, and rotten. But then, Quill walked into his room, threw his bookbag on his bed, pulled out the chair at his desk, and sat on the chair and started up his laptop.
"Now there has to be more of an answer somewhere. I need more answers." Quill said to himself.
He logged on his laptop, opened up his browser and typed away at his keyboard. Searching for the reason for visions, he couldn't seem to find an answer that he had never seen before.
"God dammit," Quill said. "Isn't there a total reason for my visions?"
Then all of the sudden, he was on a street, in a city. This was odd, he was just at his desk! But that didn't matter now, Quill Tale doesn't know how he got here, but he didn't care. Quill looked around himself, people were running past him, the people were ditching their cars. The sky was dark grey, rain poured down upon Quill and the people who sped past him. Quill was wearing the same clothes, but he held a double-barrel shotgun in his hands for some reason.
"What the fuck is going on?" Quill asked himself.
Quill noticed that the shotgun was already loaded. He walked pass the people and the abandoned cars. He felt something on his back, he thought it was a person, so he reached his arm around and felt a strap, it was his bookbag. Quill got curious about what the people were running from. So he ran towards it, running past the people. Quill looked to his left and to his right while running. He looked down alley ways, he saw a little girl in one alley. A man stood up and put the barrel of a pistol at a little girl's head.
"Hey! STOP!" Quill shouted at the man.
The man didn't listen, Quill ran the man and put the two barrels of his shotgun at the man's head. The man cocked back his pistol, his finger was about to pull the trigger.
"Are you DEAF!? STOP!" Quill shouted again.
The man, once again, did not listen. Quill closed his eyes, then pulled the trigger, Quill heard a loud pop. He opened his eyes and saw that the man was on the ground, his head was blown to pieces. The girl was screaming. Quill was devastated and dropped his shotgun. He got on his knees and looked into the girls eyes, saying,
"Shhh! Ssshhhhh... It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you. I won't hurt you. Where are your parents?"
"Th-They went that way!" She cried as she pointed to the direction where the people were running.
"Okay, we're gonna get you back to your parents. What's your name, kiddo?" Quill asked.
"Star-Shine..." the little girl replied.
Quill then picked up his shotgun, the pistol that the man had, and then the girl. He held the girl to his shoulder, while having the shotgun in right hand, and the pistol in his pocket. He ran to the direction where the people ran to. He kept shouting,
"ANYONE HERE HAVE A CHILD LOST!? ANYONE HAVE A CHILD NAMED STAR-SHINE!?"
"Yes! ME!" a woman yelled
Quill ran to the sound of the woman's voice. He got closer and closer. But, he heard a sound of gunfire. Quill looked back and saw tanks, soldier after soldier running at the people. Quill ran more to the woman. He got close enough to see the mother of the child, it was his sister. Quill blotted it out of his mind and got to the woman and handed the child over to her.
"Q-Quill!? What are you doing here? And why do you have that gun!?" said the Woman.
"I don't know, Shine-Bright. Why didn't you tell me I had a frigg'n niece!? Uggh, that doesn't matter now, JUST RUN!" Quill replied to Shine-Bright.
Quill turned his head to see his brother, Run Time. A group of people were jumping him. Quill noticed he had a backstrap on his bookbag. He put his shotgun within the strap and pulled out the pistol from his pocket. Quill aimed it at one man's head, he pulled the trigger, and the bullet flew to his head. The bullet blew into his skull, making him fall over, dead. The people looked at the dead body, and turned their heads to the shooter.
"Step away from him or all of you will be filled with lead! Got me!?" Quill yelled.
The people then ran away, leaving Run Time bleeding. Quill put away the pistol and ran to his beaten brother.
"Run Time! You're going to be alright!" Quill told his older brother.
Quill looked at Run's stomach, it was covered in blood. he was bleeding heavily. Run Time struggled to pant, he was hardly breathing...
"Y-You were shot.....No....NO" Quill said in anger.
Run Time closed his eyes, his breathing ceased. Quill started to tear up, his brother didn't even speak... Run Time was deceased...And Quill woke up.

Chapter 2
The Pandemonium
"AAAaaah!" He shreaked.
Quill woke up from another vision. He needed to tell somebody, so remembered what Rainbow Dash said.
I see. Well, if you wanna talk about anything, ANYTHING at all! Just call me, okay?
"Egh, it's worth a shot." Quill told himself.
Quill took his phone out of his pocket and dialed Rainbow Dash's number. After he dialed, he put it to his ear, and heard it ring. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash was listening to some music , until she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket, she pulled it out and saw that Quill was calling.
"Huh, I didn't know that he'd ACTUALLY call!" Rainbow Dash said to herself
She answered her phone.
"Hi, Quill! What do ya need?" She asked playfully.
"I had another vision, Rainbow Dash," Quill said. "But this time, I think I know why I got it!"
Rainbow Dash got curious, so she asked him to come over to her house, and Quill agreed. Now, you see, Quill and Rainbow Dash have been friends for a very long time. Their fathers were great friends, they were business partners as well. But its sad how Quill was born, because his father never got to see him. This is another story that should be told later. But Rainbow Dash's father, Rainbolt was like a father to Quill Tale. When Stroke Tale got Quill a broom for Christmas, Rainbolt would give him what he asked for. But anyway, Quill made it to Rainbow Dash's door. Quill knocked and Rainbolt opened up.
"Hey there, Quill! What do you need, buddy?" Rainbolt asked.
"Rainbow Dash wanted me to come over, may I come in, sir?" Quill replied in a question.
Rainbolt let Quill in happily. Rainbolt trusted him completely, Quill never lied to him, not once! Quill walked over to Rainbow Dash's door, he knocked. Rainbow Dash opened her door and pulled Quill in by his hoodie.
"Quill, you need to see this!" Rainbow Dash told Quill
Rainbow Dash brought Quill to her computer, his face dropped when he saw the screen.
"Chemical spill causes major panic in Russia, Russian Government considering major Martial Law" Rainbow Dash read from the screen.
"Major panic? That's what my vision was about. It was a tremendous uproar," Quill said.
Quill sat on her bed, he took his hoodie off and laid his head on the pillow, relaxing.
"So tell me about the vision, Quill," Rainbow Dash said.
"Well, I was in the city, I had a Double-barrel shotgun. and I had my backpack on," Quill explained. "People were running past me, running away from something. It was raining too, and I saw this man... He was about to shoot a little girl. I told him to stop but he ignored me. I had no choice but to blow his brains out. I picked up his gun and took the girl to her mother."
Quill explained more, Rainbow Dash was astonished at how real his vision was. She let out a tear when his brother died, although it wasn't really happening.
"I think I may have been in Russia, I don't know." Quill said.
"Well, don't visions come true in real life at one point or another?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"I think so, we'll just have to wait and see."
So then the very next morning. Quill woke up in his bed, he had bedhead, feeling tired as usual. He sprung out of bed and made it. Quill got in the bathroom, knowing that his mother was still asleep. Quill moved around quietly to not wake her up. Quill took off his clothes, turned the knobs in his bathtub, and started up the shower. Quill stepped in, closed the curtain, and let the water fall upon his face. As the water streamed down his arms, Quill felt relaxed. Relaxation is a feeling that Quill doesn't experience too often.
"Aaaaah... All I wanna do is relax," Quill said to himself.
After Quill was done, he turned the water off, and stepped out of the shower. Quill grabbed a towel of the door hinge and scrubbed his hair if the water. He dried himself off completely, and stepped out of the shower. Quill walked into his room and pulled open his drawers, and grabbed his clothes. After all of this "getting ready for school" nonsense, ran out the door, being happy that his mother didn't wake up.
"That was a close one!" Quill said to himself.
And out of nowhere, Rainbow Dash hugged him from behind,
"Goooood morning, Quill!" Rainbow Dash said happily.
"Good morning, Rainbow Dash!" Quill replied, "How are you doin'?"
"I'mma doin' great! Hehe!" Rainbow Dash chuckled.
The two joked and laughed while they walked to their school, Canterlot High. Eventually, Quill and Rainbow Dash made it to school. Soarin' and Thunderlane always beat them there as usual. Soarin' was shadow boxing with Thunderlane, the fists flew through the air like jets.
" Ay' boys, you done havin' your cat fight over there or what?" Rainbow Dash joked.
Soarin' and Thunderlane laughed. Quill did as well!
"So how was your day, yesterday, Quill?" Soarin' asked.
"Oh, not too bad. Rainbow Dash and I spent the day together, and I had another vision. Other than that, my day sucked! HOORAY!" Quill said humorously.
The four laughed as they walked through the hallway to Cheerilee's classroom. Everyone loved Cheerilee's classroom. Ms. Cheerilee had a mid-sized flat-screen television in the right corner of the room. She would always turn on the news during homeroom before the 1st period bell would ring. Quill and the others walked into class and sat at their desks. Ms. Cheerilee turned on the news and the four started to watch.
"Ugh, who cares about the damn lottery?" Thunderlane said as he watched the news.
"Are you kidd'n me, Thunderlane? Who WOULDN'T want money from the lottery? I mean, c'mon!" Quill replied, "I could buy a mansion with a jacuzzi in the backyard. Invite Rainbow Dash over for a laugh, and invite you guys for some drinks."
"Oh, shut it, Quill!" Rainbow Dash laughed.
Soarin' and Thunderlane laughed hysterically. Rainbow Dash got up and left the classroom for a drink. And Thunderlane thought up of a topic to converse about.
"So, uh, Quill. I really think you should go out with Rainbow Dash." Thunderlane suggested.
"Thunderlane, can we not talk about this right no-" Quill said before he was cut off.
"Quill, you and Rainbow Dash would be perfect together. Her and I broke up because we always argued. We were better as friends." Soarin' explained, "I mean look! You and her grew up together, she kissed you when you both were thirteen!"
Quill got up in Soarin's face in an angered manner.
"How the fuck did you know about that!?" Quill asked angrily.
"Quill, calm down. Rainbow Dash told me when we were dating. Just caaaalm down bro" Soarin' replied.
Quill moved back and kept his distance. He calmed down and continued to watch the news. Rainbow Dash came back in, and sat in the desk beside Quill. Quill didn't want to bring up the kiss, because it would just stir up an argument and put the both of them in a bad mood. But hold on, the news brought up an emergency warning.
"This just in! The majority of Canterlot is overrun by mobs. Please stay indoors for your safety. Help is on the way for the city" said the reporter on the TV.
"What the fuck... it's just like my visions" Quill said to himself.
The whole class gasped at what the reporter stated. Quill was shaken up and scared, he started to breathe heavily
"Woah, woah! Quill, you okay!?" Rainbow Dash said in concern.
"Okay, class, turn in your homework he-" Cheerilee stated before Quill cut her off.
"Ms. Cheerilee, I don't give a DAMN about the homework! LOOK AT THE SCREEN!" Quill replied.
"The power went off, the lights turned off and the TV shut down in a split second. The girls in the class screamed, while Quill got up out of his chair and ran out of the classroom.
"Mr. Tale! YOU GET BACK HERE!" Cheerilee yelled.
Rainbow Dash ran for Quill, Quill was looking outside of the front school doors, he saw many people running around cars being ditched in the streets. Rainbow Dash managed to find him, she grabbed Quill's shoulder.
"Are you fucking crazy!?" Rainbow Dash loudly whispered.
"No! These are just like my visions, Rainbow Dash! C'mon, follow me!" Quill replied in a whisper.
Quill ran down the hall, grabbing Rainbow Dash's hand, forcing her to follow. Rainbow Dash fought to try to get out of his grasp.
"Let me go!" She said as she struggled to get her hand free.
Quill ran through the dark halls to the janitor's closet. He opened the door and pulled Rainbow Dash in with him. Quill covered her mouth so she wouldn't scream or talk loudly, Rainbow Dash jammed her elbow into his stomach and got free of his grasp.
"What the hell are you doing, Quill!? You're acting fucking crazy!" She yelled.
"Listen! I saw this in one of my early visions that the school would get hit my the mobs, it's raining outside right now! Just like the vision! The news broadcast was in the vision too!" Quill explained hastily,
"Most of those people in this school are going to be beaten to DEATH! But we're going to get out of this!"
"What about Soarin' and Thunderlane!?" Rainbow Dash replied.
"They survive too, now c'mon!" Quill said in reply.
Quill then smashed a little glass box and took out a large Fire axe. Quill looked around for something that Rainbow Dash could use to protect herself, so he grabbed a crowbar and gave it to her.
"Now, I know you work out and I know you're strong enough to use this. You're gonna need this!" Quill told Rainbow Dash.
"But wait, what if there's someone who's too close for me to take out silently?" She asked.
"Then you start swingin' like there's no tomorrow! Now you follow my lead, we need to find a place to hide!" Quill replied.
"But where!?"
"We need to get to the higher levels of the school, it'll give us some time to get supplies. Let's go!"
Quill and Rainbow Dash ran out of the closet and ran to the staircase. They both sped up the stairs without stopping. They managed to get to the top floor within a minute. Quill ran into the rooms grabbing pens and scissors, he came back out, handing Rainbow Dash a few pens and two pairs of scissors.
"C'mon!" Quill said as he pulled her into a Chemistry classroom.
Quill and Rainbow walked to a teachers desk, they both hid behind it. But Rainbow Dash saw a closet door right next to her and said,
"Hey, why can't we hide in that closet?"
"Because that'll be the first place they'll look for us. And besides, it has no locks on it."
A crash was heard all the way downstairs. Loud, determined voices could be heard. Rainbow Dash was horrified at what the voices were saying. She swore she heard on say,
"Fuck that whore, that one too. SAVE THE WOMEN, we're gonna need them for later!"
Quill and Rainbow Dash heard footsteps coming up into higher floors. Quill gripped his axe tighter, Rainbow Dash was very frightened, but she held together.
"I think there's someone up here, guys. I'm gonna go check it out" said an older man.
An older looking man with a tattered brown coat entered the Chemistry classroom. He had a metal baseball bat in his right hand. The man walked around the room, looked inside the closet, and found no one. Once he turned his back, Quill got up from behind the desk and slowly, quietly walked towards the man with his axe. When Quill was 3 feet away from the man, he swung his axe at the man's neck. Nearly chopping of his head! The man was dead automatically, no screaming sounded.
"O-Oh god..." Rainbow Dash said aloud.
Rainbow Dash threw up all over the floor, Quill heard the puke pour onto the floor.
"Eck, c'mon, there's more of those fucks downstairs." Quill said to Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash got up from behind the desk and followed Quill.
"Hey! I here footsteps upstairs!" a voice shouted out
Another man ran upstairs and saw Quill, he was holding a knife and sliced Quills arm, and punched him in the face.
"Ah! Fuck!" Quill shouted.
The man then delivered a swift kick to Quill's leg, making him fall over, dropping his axe. The man then crawled over on top of Quill, holding the knife to his throat, saying,
"You're gonna fucking pay for killing my buddy over here."
All of the sudden, Rainbow Dash cracked the man in the head with her crowbar so hard that he went out COLD. Rainbow Dash was panting heavily, smiling at Quill Tale.
"Thanks, Dash!" Quill said.
Quill got up and grabbed his axe. Rainbow Dash ran out of the room with him, Quill made Rainbow Dash hug the wall with him. Quill peeked his head out to see downstairs, he saw nobody, so he took Rainbow Dash down the stairs with him. Quill saw a window and smiled. he ran towards and saw many people with weapons, such as 2x4s and rifles. Rainbow Dash's face dropped.
"Quill, there's no way that we're gonna get past all of them! We're gonna get shot if we set foot out there!" Rainbow Dash said.
"They're leaving the back of the school guarded poorly, we can sneak past. If I did it in my visions, I can do it here."
Quill sent Rainbow Dash down the stairs quietly to make sure the coast was clear, scouting around, she found no one. Rainbow Dash looked back and saw someone.
"Quill, LOOK OUT!" She shouted!
Quill turned his head and saw a man with a machete, the man lunged down at Quill's shoulder, but he caught the man's arm in time to stop it from slicing his arm clean off. The man put outrageous force to weaken Quill's grip on him. But Quill was putting in force as well. Quill was losing the struggle, so he quickly pulled out a pair of scissors from his pocket and rammed them into the mans throat. The man released is grip and dropped his machete, and fell down the stairs. Quill looked at his hands, they were covered in a heavy amount of blood. The man started to choke and gargle on his own blood. Rainbow Dash almost threw up but held it in.
"H-H-Hooly shit!" Rainbow Dash said.
Quill ran down the stairs and saw that no more people were in the school. Rainbow Dash saw that their classroom was right down the hall, she ran towards it. Quill tried to reach for her to pull her back, but failed.
"Dammit, Rainbow Dash! You're gonna get us both killed!"
Quill ran to her, and saw that she was standing still, having her hands over her mouth, staring at dead bodies and dying people. Rainbow Dash broke down crying, she wept on her knees. Quill saw Cheerilee in a pool of blood, clothes torn off, and her throat slit. He turn his head to the right and saw Braeburn with the claw end of a hammer jammed into his head.
"My Lord... Those monsters" Quill said.
Quill squatted down and held Rainbow Dash in his arms as she cried. He got her up off of her knees and hugged her.
"We need to get out of here, we need to get to my house."
"Why your house!? Why do we need to go there!? WE NEED TO GET THE FUCK OUTTA TOWN, QUILL TALE!" Rainbow Dash screamed.
"Gettin' outta town is what we're gonna do. But we're gonna run into even more of these guys, and even worse. We need to get to my house to get supplies. My mother has a whole thing of guns in the basement, we're gonna need those!" Quill explained.
Rainbow Dash nodded and gave a determined, happy smile.

Chapter 3
The Catastrophe Begins
Quill patted Rainbow Dash's back, but Rainbow Dash heard men yelling.
"Quill, there's more on the way, we gotta get outta here!" She heavily suggested.
Quill nodded and ran with Rainbow Dash down the hall, they both looked back and saw a whole group of people break into the school. The group chased after them with ugly, bloodthirsty faces. They were almost to the back doors of the hallway. The group was still gaining in on them.
"Don't let them go!" one in the group yelled
"SHOOT 'EM, ALREADY!" another one shouted.
One man in the group pulled out a Colt 45 pistol, and opened fire on Quill and Rainbow Dash. But luckily, they found the door in time, got out of the school, and slammed the door shut. Quill took Rainbow Dash's crowbar and put it through the door handles, in order to barricade the gang in.
"C'mon, that's not gonna hold for long!"
Rainbow Dash nodded and ran with Quill to an alley surrounded by backyards. Rainbow Dash stopped him for a minute and said,
"Hey...Look, I'm sorry about thinking you were crazy... I-I didn't know those visions really meant something, Quill"
"Well, thanks. We can't stop, Rainbow Dash, we GOT to keep going if we want to live." Quill replied.
Rainbow Dash caught her breath and ran with Quill through the alley. Until she realized that she needed a weapon.
"Quill, I'm gonna need something to hit these guys with!" She said.
Quill looked around the terrain, he saw a backyard with quite a large shed. Quill told Rainbow Dash to stay right where she was. He then sneaked into the backyard, trying not to attract attention. Quill noticed that the door handles of the shed were tied together with quite a thick rope. So he took a pair of scissors that he got from the school out of his pocket, and cut the rope. Quill opened the doors and saw what was like an armory of tools to use. Quill smiled and grabbed a machete that was hanging on the wall. But there was a glow in the corner of his eye. He turned his head and saw a nail gun. Quill grabbed it and noticed there were only 3 nails loaded. He saw that there were drawers in the shed and opened them, Quill saw 3 boxes of nails, and smiled.
"I think I just hit the jackpot," Quill said.
Quill didn't have his bookbag, he saw that Rainbow Dash had hers. He beckoned Rainbow Dash to come over to him. She did so and gasped when she saw all the tools in the shed.
"Rainbow Dash, give me your backpack." Quill demanded.
"B-But Quill, I have my sch-"
"There IS no more school. Dump the books, but keep the pens and scissors and any clothing." Quill replied.
Rainbow Dash took off her bookbag unzipped it and took out everything. She had sweater and some sweat pants that she kept. Quill took the bookbag and put two boxes of nails in, while keeping one box for himself.
"Now, if any guy comes at you ready to swing, I'm gonna fill 'em full of nails" Quill said as he loaded the nail gun.
Quill saw that there were beer bottles in the shed. He gave Rainbow Dash the machete, took her bookbag and swept the bottles into the bag.
"Hey, I don't want those gross bottles in my backpack!" Rainbow Dash yelped.
"We're gonna need them. I can lure people away from us if I throw this somewhere." Quill responded.
Rainbow Dash groaned, but accepted the suggestion. Quill zipped the bookbag up again and put it on Rainbow Dash's back, and the two kept walking down the alley. Rainbow Dash looked at Quill as she strolled with him, she adored his manliness of course, but she didn't know that he was well prepared.
"Sooo, how did you learn to kill someone without being shocked, or puking?" Rainbow Dash chuckled.
"I learned in my visions, my visions were just like real life," Quill explained, "The first time I killed someone, I threw up! But the more visions I had, the more people I had to kill."
"I see. I guess those visions meant something," Rainbow Dash replied, "How long will it be before we can actually live again?"
"This is the way we have to live for now, this is the life we have to know."
Rainbow Dash looked down and let out a tear. But she held together and kept walking. Quill's house wasn't that far from the school, so it wasn't gonna be a giant rigamarole to get there. Rainbow Dash looked to Quill again and saw his blood covered hoodie, and looked at this face. Quill's face was stern, focused, as if he wasn't joking around, and he'd choke anybody that did.
"Not too far, Rainbow." Quill said.
Rainbow Dash smiled. Could this be the start of an adventure for the two? We'll find out soon enough. But Quill noticed something was wrong. His backdoor was opened, no one in the house used the backdoor.
"Shit, I think they're at my house, go and hide." Quill demanded.
Rainbow Dash did so, she saw that there was a little space in between Quill's house and the one next door, so she hid there, with her machete in here hands, ready to strike.
Quill had his nail gun at the ready, it was fully loaded. He silently walked up to the backdoor, opened it, and stepped in quietly. Quill held his gun with one hand pointing up, with his axe in his other hand. Quill walked into the kitchen and saw nothing.
"Strange..." He whispered to himself.
Quill heard talking upstairs, the talking of two men. He looked around in the kitchen and found an empty water bottle. He threw it at a wall near the stairs. Quill silently ran to a corner in the other room.
"The fuck was that?" One of the men said.
"Check it out." Said the other man.
One man walked downstairs and saw the water bottle, he didn't know what to think of it so he started to check the kitchen. Quill sneaked out of the room and quietly, sneakily walked behind the man. He took out a pen from his pocket wrapped his arm around the man's face, keeping him from talking. And Quill jammed the pen into his throat. The blood spurted from the man's neck, covering a bit of the wall. The man struggled to get Quill off of him, his screams were muffled by Quill's arm. Quill then twisted and turned the pen inside the man's throat, he felt the muscles rip inside the man's throat. Quill pushed the pen in so hard that it broke. He stopped realizing the man was dead. Quill let the body drop, making a loud "THUMP" sound that the other man could hear from upstairs.
"The fuck!?" The man said as he sped down the stairs.
The man made it down the stairs and saw Quill in the kitchen. The man had a pipe, and charged at Quill. Quill quickly pulled out his nail gun and fired 4 nails at the man's chest. The man stumbled back, but still pushed forward. Quill then shot him 3 times in the head. The man dropped dead, having blood leak from his forehead onto the kitchen floor.
"Wow these guys don't care, they'll still kill you when they KNOW they're gonna die." Quill said to himself.
Meanwhile, in the backyard, Rainbow Dash heard the crunching of twigs behind her. She looked back and saw an ugly man with a knife, the man licked his blade, and looked at Rainbow Dash with lust.
"Well, hello there, pretty young thing!" The man said as he pushed Rainbow Dash to the ground.
The man climbed on top of Rainbow Dash, and unzipped his fly.
"Get the fuck off me, creep!" Rainbow Dash yelled.
The man ignored her, and proceeded with his actions. Rainbow Dash grabbed her machete and swung it at the side of the man's head
"AAAAAH!" The man screamed.
The man fell off of Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Dash felt so much that she stood up and started to chop away at the man with her large blade. She managed to chop the top of his head, his hand, and a part of the side of his body. Rainbow Dash was being covered in the blood that was flung up by the machete.
"Rainbow Dash! THAT'S ENOUGH!" Quill said as he pulled her away from the dead man.
"NO! He tried to FUCKING RAPE ME!" Rainbow Dash yelled.
"I know, you just went overboard, just calm down. I got two guys in the house. It's clear, my mother is somewhere in there, it's okay." Quill replied.
Rainbow Dash wiped the blood off of her face, and followed Quill into the house. Rainbow Dash closed the door behind her, Quill put his weapons on the table. He opened walked to the stairs, on there was a door below the staircase that lead to the basement. Quill opened the door and beckoned Rainbow Dash to go down.
"Ladies first!" Quill said.
"Ooh, such a gentleman. Hehe!" Rainbow Dash said, playing around.
Rainbow Dash walked down the stairs as she held onto the railing. She made it down and turned the light on.
"Wow! You're basement look like a game room!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Yeah, this is where I play my video games. The gun stash is in the other room. Follow me." Quill replied.
Rainbow Dash walked to another room in the basement, she opened the door and saw many rifles, shotguns, and handguns.
"Holy fuck, we just hit the mother-load, Quill!" Rainbow Dash said loudly.
Quill chuckled a bit, and walked to Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash let him in, and Quill browsed the selection of guns.
"Now, we need to pack lightly, we can only carry one rifle or shotgun, and two pistols each." Quill said in a reminding manner.
Rainbow Dash nodded, Quill picked up a backpack, and a backstrap, and opened a drawer, he smiled.
"Yep, this is my gun" Quill spoke aloud. He picked up a clean-looking revolver. Rainbow Dash looked at the revolver and wondered, saying,
"What type of revolver is that, Quill? I know I saw it, I forget though."
"It's the Smith & Wesson M1917 revolver, used in the Korean War. This was my grandfather's revolver. He gave it to my father, until my mother had it after... my dad... you know" Quill explained.
"Yeah, I know, so what gun am I gonna get? My dad taught us how to fire a gun, remember? You know I can handle it." Rainbow Dash replied.
Quill looked through more drawers, and found a perfect handgun, suitable for Rainbow Dash. He handed her a better looking, newly designed handgun.
"And which one is this, may I ask? I am really forgetting what my dad shoved down my throat for the longest!" Rainbow Dash questioned.
"That right there is a Glock 17. It holds 15 rounds, you love this one!" Quill replied.
Rainbow Dash and Quill looked around the armory, Quill saw a rifle that caught his eyes, the rifle belonged to his father, and his grandfather. It was an M1 Garand used in the Korean war.
"Aw yiss! I'm using this, you ain't takin' dis, I tell ya!" Quill said in a joking manner.
Rainbow Dash laughed and looked around. She saw a gun that her father loved to use, she took it off the wall and smiled at it. It was a 12 gauge shotgun, cleaned, greased, and ready for action.
"This is the first gun I learned how to use, I always loved this one. I'm taking it!" Rainbow Dash said happily.
"You go ahead! Now, we need another pistol," Quill said as he looked through the drawers, "Ah! Here we go!"
Quill handed Rainbow Dash a Colt 45 pistol, she smiled intensively. Quill found a Five SeveN handgun, so he looked around on some shelves and found some gun holsters, he took four of them and gave two to Rainbow Dash.
"Put those on, these are gonna hold the pistols." Quill demanded.
Rainbow Dash strapped the holster straps around her waist, she buckled them on tight, and she put her pistols in each holster.
"Where's the ammo?" She asked.
Quill went further into the room and pulled out some large wooden crates. He lifted the top of the crate off, and ammunition laid inside, the amount was plentiful! But Quill and Rainbow Dash needed to pack lightly. So Quill pulled out 2 boxes of shotgun shells and tossed them to Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash managed to catch the two, she loaded her 12 gauge as Quill loaded some clips to his pistols. Quill took some rifle ammo, along with some pistol ammo. By the time they were ready to hit the road, it was sunset, they couldn't go out now, they grew tired.
"I can't believe we're done. Let's watch the news, is there still signal?" Quill asked Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash took the remote off of the table, turned on the flat screen and saw that the television was working.
"Yes!" shouted Rainbow Dash.
"Great, I wanna kick back, and relax for the rest of the night." Quill replied.
Rainbow Dash chuckled, Quill sat on the couch, taking the remote, he flipped through channels to the news. Quill sat back, kicked his feet up on the table, and relaxed. Rainbow Dash sat right next to him, and rested her head on his shoulder. She closed her eyes and started to fall asleep. Quill smiled at her when she wasn't looking. They rested cutely that night. The two of them looked so cute and perfect together.
The next morning, Rainbow Dash shook Quill awake.
"Ah!" Quill yelped.
Rainbow Dash pointed to the television, Quill struggled to open his eyes. When he came to, he saw the news on the screen. The reporter was talking about people infected with a contagious disease that was spreading like wildfire. The screen changed to a shot where there was a helicopter camera filming an intersection at Philadelphia. Many people came out of nowhere, attacking people, some pulled people right out of their cars and bit their necks. Quill gasped at the sight, Rainbow Dash was shocked out of her wits. One person lifted up a car, the people within the car tumbled out of the shattered windshield; all bloody and vulnerable. Then people ran from every direction to the people, and they started to attack the people from the car. It was so graphic that the news casters turned it off and moved to other news.
"What time is it!?" Quill asked loudly.
"It's 7:32 a.m." Rainbow Dash responded.
"Get up," Quill said. "We're leaving NOW. It won't be long until this infection spreads to Canterlot!"
Rainbow Dash got up off the couch, put on her backpack, pistol holders, and carried her 12 gauge. Quill got up and did the same, his M1 Garand rifle was strapped to his back, and he had his revolver loaded. Luckily, they packed food and clothing, these two weren't playing around when it came to this. Quill and Rainbow Dash ran upstairs, and looked at each other. Nodding, they walk out of the door, into the fresh air.
"Where are we going, Quill?" Rainbow Dash asked.
Quill pulled out a map from the side of his backpack, and unfolded it. He skimmed his finger across the map, over to one point on the map.
"We have to go to Ohio," Quill explained, "My uncle lives in Cincinnati, he had visions of this too. He'll help us!"
Rainbow Dash smiled and walked with Rainbow Dash down the street with their weapons ready at will. Some neighbors looked our their windows and got scared, and dialed 9-1-1. Quill knew something was wrong when he saw people look at the them through their curtains.
"Rainbow Dash, I smell trouble, have your gun at the ready." Quill advised.
Rainbow Dash cocked her shotgun, ready to fire. Rainbow Dash had a good change of clothes. She was wearing a black tank top , black jeans , and a soldier's belt that held her ammunition. Quill was wearing an orange flannel shirt , jeans , and a soldier's belt just like Rainbow Dash's belt.
"This doesn't look good to me, Quill" Rainbow Dash said to Quill Tale.
"Just keep your gun at the ready, I think they're calling the cops." Quill replied.
"Aren't the police gonna help us?"
"No, they're not letting anybody leave Canterlot, they're in this too. The cops are no longer on our side."
Then a police car pulled up on the edge of the road, an officer stepped out of the car with his gun pointing at Quill Tale and Rainbow Dash.
"Hit the dirt!" Quill shouted.
Rainbow Dash and Quill jumped behind a car, and the police officer started to open fire. Quill pulled out his revolver, and pointed it up. The cop slowly walked towards the car, Rainbow Dash was a bit scared, but she held together well. The cop got far enough towards the car and said,
"Come out with your hands up!"
Quill Tale quickly popped out from the car and shot the cop in the chest two times. The cop fell to the ground in half a second. Rainbow Dash closed her eyes and blocked out the noise. Quill got out from behind the car and so did Rainbow Dash.
"I-I need back up! S-S-Suspects are h-heavily armed! A-And extremely dangerous!" The cop shouted to his radio.
Quill walked up to the cop, the cop cowered in fear and begged for his life. But Quill had no mercy. And with a stern, focused, angered face, Quill shot him the forehead, putting the police out of his misery.
"O-Oh GOD!" Rainbow Dash said.
"We're gonna have to run," Quill said as he put his revolver back in his holster, "A whole wave of policemen are gonna come storming the neighborhood at any minute. We gonna run"

Chapter 4
Destination: Ohio
Quill and Rainbow Dash ran through yards and such, they looked back and saw Police cars chasing after them.
"Rainbow Dash! Give me one of those beer bottles!" Quill demanded.
Rainbow Dash quickly unzipped her bag and gave a beer bottle to Quill and zipped it back up again. As the car drove closer, Quill threw the bottle at the windshield. The bottle went through the windshield, shards of glass went into the driver's face.
"OUTTA THE WAY!" Quill shouted.
Quill and Rainbow Dash jumped to the side when the car sped past them and crashed into a house. Rainbow Dash covered he mouth with one of her hands. The screams of a woman were heard from within the house.
"C'mon, we gotta keep going!"
They both ran through more yards, they hopped over fences, broke down fence doors, etc. More cops showed up in the neighborhood, however they didn't manage to block off Rainbow Dash and Quill from escaping. Eventually, the two made it to a dead end. The fence was too high for one person to climb.
"Quill, I got an idea, give me a boost!" Rainbow Dash suggested.
"Okay, I'll have to find another way around though." Quill replied.
Quill then went to the tall fence, squatted and cupped his hands. Rainbow Dash walked over to Quill and stepped on his hands. Quill used his strength and lifted her up over the fence. All of the sudden, a cop car drove down the dead end. The policemen same out of the car and pointed there guns at Quill.
"Hands in the air!" said a police women.
Quill did as they asked, he dropped his revolver, and put his hands up. The cops stepped towards him and pulled out their handcuffs. But Quill quickly reacted by punching the police women in the face, knocking her out. The police officer opened fire but missed Quill's head. Quill charged at the officer and started to ram his fist into his face time and time again. Quill repeatedly rocked the Police officer in the face so much that the officer went out like a light. Quill's hand was dripping with blood. He wiped it off on the cops uniform. Quill got up and picked his revolver back up. But he heard police sirens from behind him.
"Don't move! Or we'll shoot!" one officer shouted from afar.
Quill needed to think fast. He saw that the hood of the cop car was close enough to the fence for him to hop on for a boost.
"Perfect!"
So Quill climbed on top of the car and ran across it. The police fired their weapons at him, but they managed to miss every shot. When Quill's foot stepped on the hood of the car, he leaped for the fence. Quill caught the fence and pulled himself over it. A bullet managed to get him right in the arm.
"Aaah!" He yelped.
Quill made it over the fence, he tumbled on the grass hard. He let out a little yell on impact. Quill got up and covered his arm. Rainbow Dash wasn't behind the fence, he needed to find her, she had a first aid kit in her bag. Quill ran across the large yard looking for Rainbow Dash.
"God dammit, Rainbow Dash, where are you!?" He said to himself.
Quill turned his head and saw neighbors all around him.
"You best leave this town, young'n! If you know what's good for ya!" said an elderly man with a shotgun in his hands.
Quill put away his revolver and pulled out his Five SeveN pistol and pointed it at all the neighbors.
"Don't do ANYTHING stupid, if you do anything stupid, I'm capsizing your heads. Got it?!
The elderly man put down his shotgun. Quill kicked it across the grass, the elderly man flinched.
"Now, have any of you seen a girl here with Rainbow hair?" Quill asked.
"I'm over here, Quill. These people won't hurt us!" Rainbow Dash said as she stepped out of a house, "You don't have to shoot anyone!"
Quill put away his Five SeveN, and smiled. He walked towards Rainbow Dash and kept his eyes on the neighbors.
"Hey, aren't you that Quill boy?" An aged woman asked, "Why are you covered in gear?"
"Because an infection is coming, the police are in on it. My friend Rainbow Dash and I are leaving. Do any of you have a car we can use?"
"Why yes, I do. Where are you heading to?" A young woman asked.
"We're heading to Ohio. We got family to visit." Rainbow Dash answered.
"Well, I can take you there!"
"Good, we could use a lift." Quill responded.
"So when do you want to leave?"
Out of nowhere, 3 cops came out of a house pointing their guns at all the numbers. But Quill shot one cop in the head, while Rainbow Dash used both of her pistols on both hands to shot the other cops. This took place in a matter of two seconds. Rainbow Dash put both of her pistols in her holsters, while Quill pointed his pistol up.
"Now would be a good time." said to the woman
The woman nodded in shock. She ran to her pickup truck with Rainbow Dash and Quill Tale. Quill opened the door, letting Rainbow Dash in. He closed it when the woman hopped in.
"Get in!" the woman shouted.
"You go! Wait for me, I gotta take care of these Police!" Quill responded.
The woman in the truck drove off with Rainbow Dash, while Quill stayed behind.
"You," Quill said to the elderly man, "You're gonna need that shotgun."
The old man nodded and ran to his shotgun and picked it up. He followed Quill into the house where the cops came out of. Quill brought the man upstairs with him.
"Okay, I'm gonna shoot those policemen up here while you got my back!" Quill said to the man.
"Yes, sir!" the elderly man said as he saluted to Quill.
Quill smiled, and pulled out his M1 Garand rifle and ran to a window in the house. The man stood by the stairs, ready to shoot any cop coming up.
Quill saw the truck that the woman and Rainbow Dash were in. The cops chased after it, Quill shot a couple with his rifle. No cop knew who was shooting at them, that was the advantage that Quill needed. Rainbow Dash saw the cops coming for the car so she rolled down the car window and shot a cop with her 12 gauge, sending him back a couple feet.
"Th-That was kinda fun!" Rainbow Dash thought to herself.
Rainbow Dash kept shooting any cop who came up to her. One cop got up in her face and hit her in the face with a Baton. But she put the barrel of the 12 gauge to their head, pulling the trigger. Their head exploded and the body flew back 5 feet. And whenever Rainbow Dash was reloading, she sees Quill Tale shoot them in their heads.
"Hey! We got trouble!" The elderly man shouted to Quill.
"If there is, start SHOOTING!"
The elderly man aimed his shotgun at the door. A cop stepped in and the man pulled the trigger, letting lead spray on his head. The cop fell to the ground, dead. This went on for about fourteen minutes.
"Are we done yet?" The elderly man said to Quill.
"Yeah... I told you... the whole police force was in with the mobs yesterday, and they're doing something much worse. If we have any hope of fixing this, I need to get to Ohio." Quill Tale explained.
The elderly man understood. Quill got up, walked over to the man and shook his hand tight, thanking him for the help. Quill ran down the stairs, and ran to the truck, and hopped into the passenger's side. He closed the door and the truck drove off, leaving the countless dead bodies of police officers behind.
"Thank God..." Quill sighed.
"Thank God is right! We barely made it out of there ALIVE" Rainbow Dash replied.
"You two sure are the gunslingers! Now, why should I be driving COP KILLERS to Ohio!?" The woman yelled as she stomped on the brakes.
"Because the cops can no longer be trusted, and we need to get to Ohio to visit someone who can help us fight off what's coming" Quill explained.
The woman gave him a dirty look and rolled her eyes. Quill pulled out his revolver and aimed it right between her eyes. Quill's face became stern and focused once more. The eyes looked into your soul, the eyes frightened the woman.
"Do I need to repeat myself, Miss?" Quill asked with his gun pointing at her head.
The woman's face dropped, she kept driving and Quill put away his revolver.
"What the fuck, Quill!? Why do you have to let the gun do the talking!?" Rainbow Dash nagged.
"Cuz' that's gonna be the only thing to convince someone of something very soon." Quill said as he but more rounds into his revolver chamber.
Rainbow Dash sighed. But dealt with Quill, and his negative attitude. Hours later, nightfall came, Rainbow Dash was sleeping in the back, Quill looked out the window as the car flew past the glowing orange streetlights. Worry entered Quill's heart. Was this going to be his way of life from now on? Was he going to fail everyone? Would Rainbow Dash get caught in the crossfire? SO much worry passed through his heart.
"You okay there?" The woman asked.
"I....I'm fine, ma'am."
"C'mon, tell me whats up."
"My life coming ahead. My life's gonna get a lot harder, you know that infection on Philadelphia?" Quill explained.
"Yes, what about it?"
"It's gonna spread to here, and all over the Earth. I just know it, I've had visions. My uncle has had the visions too, that's why my friend and I need to get to Ohio."
"I see, do you have any type of... Special feelings for her?" The woman asked with a smile.
Quill blushed brightly, he shook his head.
"Nah, I don't have those feelings for anyone. She's my best friend though, she's been by my side for longer than I can remember"
"Well, you know, but friends are more likely to be together than most probable relationships."
"Ain't that good to know" Quill replied with a smirk.
The woman chuckled a bit. Quill had a warm smile.
"Hey... you got any tunes I can put on?" Quill asked.
"Yeah, I have some CD's. look in the glove compartment. I have some Aerosmith, Rush, Kiss, Five Finger De─"
"Five Finger Death Punch, you say," Quill said, "May I put it in?"
"Sure, go ahead!" The woman responded.
Quill opened the latch on the glove compartment and pawed around for the CD, all he found so far was an Aerosmith album and a Rush CD. Until he found a burnable disk, it said: "FFDP - The Tragic Truth ." written in black sharpie. Quill grew a big smile on his face and stuck the disc into the slot below the volume knob. The music started, and Quill noticed it was a Karaoke disc. He remembered the words, so he started to sing

When the guitar solo started, Quill banged his head to the music, Quill sang loud and hard, waking Rainbow Dash up!
"What the hell!?" She said with a fright.
Quill looked back at Rainbow Dash and grinned, backing his head made his hair swing all around, Rainbow Dash knew what song was playing and decided to join Quill, for a little duet. Rainbow Dash put her hand on Quill's shoulder and banged her head with him

All through that night while driving on the road, they sang songs. Quill and Rainbow Dash sounded so beautiful when they sang together. Quill had a deep baritone voice, while Rainbow Dash had a high soprano voice. The woman noticed, and smiled when they sang together. The way Rainbow Dash and Quill would look each other in the eyes when they sang was very cute. As the truck drove lit, empty streets, harmony was within that speeding machine, the woman realized that these two weren't bloodthirsty, heck, they didn't even seem like killers! Rainbow Dash seemed to be like a popular girl, in which she was, but looked so sweet and innocent! Quill looked like he was just a normal, quiet person, who never really talked, and hated everyone. But later, late the next day. Rainbow Dash was sleeping, Quill was wide awake with the woman. The woman saw Quill looking out the window, at the blueish purple sky, it was beautiful.
"Hey, I've been meaning to ask you, what life did you leave behind in Canterlot?"
"A life that beat me down to the ground since the time I was born"
"Well, what do you mean?" the woman asked.
"My life in Canterlot is the past, the whole world is my future now," Quill explained, "So many faces I've seen... I'll never see again"
"What happened to you back in Canterlot?"
"The mobs. Rainbow Dash and I had to kill some, a lot of our friends were massacred. I almost got killed once, and Rainbow Dash almost got raped. I'm sorry for even dragging her in this. Must've been because she understood me more than anybody else"
"It must be because you love her. I saw it last night when you two were singing. I think she loves you too!" the woman replied.
"Oh, c'mon! A girl like Rainbow Dash loving me? That'll be the day I turn into pure gold" Quill chuckled.
"I'm convinced that she loves you. What was your family like?"
"My family is weird. The bad kind of weird. My brother and sister are not that weird, but my mother... She's like the devil on earth. She is the MEANEST bitch you'll ever meet."
"What about your father?" the woman questioned in reply.
Quill closed his eyes, saying,
"He's dead. He died before I was born, as a matter of fact, he died 19 minutes before I was born. My aunt and uncle say he was such a great man, and that I was just like him! I act just like him... mostly. I get my 'cruelness' on my own. I look just like him, I talk just like him, I'm pretty much his reincarnation."
"I-I'm so sorry. I had the same childhood as you, but it was still different. My mother was the one who died, I knew her for awhile. I was 12 when she died, and my father became abusive. Since I looked just like my mom, I'd put on her clothes everyday, look in the mirror and say 'Hi, mom!'"
"Wow, that's really sad. All I want is a happy life, happiness is something that I never really tasted." Quill stated
The woman stopped the truck, Quill got confused and looked forward, He saw a large sign saying Welcome To Ohio!
"Rainbow Dash, we're here!" Quill said with a smile.
Rainbow Dash's eyes widened, she sprang up and got out of the truck, Quill opened his car door, and stepped out.
"You don't want me to stay here and wait for you two?" the woman asked.
"No, you can go back home. We're hitting the road. Thanks for everything, miss!" Quill replied.
The woman smiled warmly, and drove back to where they came. Rainbow Dash looked across the city, many soldiers were out in tanks, looking after the people within the city. Rainbow Dash saw danger when she looked at the soldiers. When Quill looked at the soldiers, all he saw was dead meat. They were at the sign, a wooded area was to their right, full of trees and shade.
"So... this is Ohio..." Rainbow Dash said lightly.
"Yep. It is, a lovely place. Don't trust those soldiers."
The Survival: Beginning With Pain
Chapter 5
The Infection Spreads
"So what are we gonna do about them, though?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"We have to sneak past them, if one comes near use, we kill them. Soldiers are too strong to take head on" Quill replied.
"Okay, we better get going!"
The two ran to the right, jumping over the guardrail, into the woods. They ran towards the city through the woods, hoping not to be spotted so easily. They jumped over roots sticking out of the ground, slip across the dirt, and hid behind the trees as they progressed. Quill and Rainbow both had their guns out, prepared for any firefight. Quill took quick breaths when he ran, Rainbow Dash just ran as she could. Quill's boots crunched the leaves upon ground with every step he took.
"They're just up ahead!" Quill reminded himself.
They ran to another guardrail on the street, they peeked their heads out and saw soldiers holding rifles, guarding men, women, and children.
"What are they doing?" Rainbow Dash whispered.
The soldiers pointed their rifles at the family, kneeling before them with their hands on their heads.
"Sir, we got a family, they're not infected" The soldier said into the radio in his hand.
"A-Are you sure?" He asked, "Okay sir, whatever you say" The soldier said.
The soldier snapped his fingers, and the other troops steadied their aim on the families' heads.
"Are they doing what I think they're doing!?" Rainbow Dash loudly whispered.
Rainbow Dash unzipped her backpack, and tool out a beer bottle, she went to throw it to lure the soldiers. But Quill took her arm down, and took the bottle out of her hand. Rainbow Dash turned her head to him and growled.
"Do you WANT them killed!?" She said.
"No, but we'll attract more attention than we can handle. There's nothing we can do, Dash." Quill replied.
A gunshot was sounded, the mother of the family fell down to the ground, blood spewed on the ground, her kids cried painfully. They called out their mother's name, crying so hard. Another gunshot came, the oldest child of the three that were there was shot in the head. He fell down, bleeding right next to his mother. Rainbow Dash got infuriated, but Quill covered her mouth so she would not yell. The second the child fell down with great impact when the third shot came. Some blood splattered onto the soldier who shot her. Rainbow Dash punched the guardrail so hard that she made her knuckles bleed.
"The sergeant said we need to kill all of them, I'm low on ammunition, I don't wanna waste a bullet on this last one."
"What are they gonna do?....." Quill whispered.
The soldier lowered his aim on the youngest child. He kicked the little one over, the little one screamed in pain. The soldier stomped on the kid's head with no holding back. The child's head cracked open, the brain was crushed beneath the soldier's foot. Blood leaked out, the skull crunched and cracked. And eyeball popped out and rolled across the ground. The soldier took his boot off of the child's flattened mess of a head. He laughed, saying how soft it was. His fellow guards laughed with him. Rainbow Dash let out a tear, when her face was overridden with rage. Quill had his hand on her shoulder, reminding her to stay calm, and keep quiet.
"Let's move. There was nothing we could have done" Quill held Rainbow Dash's shoulder to give her comfort.
"You...You're heartless...we could have saved them!"
"No, there was nothing we could have done. If we tried to save their lives, we'd be DEAD by now"
Quill and Rainbow Dash moved along the guardrail, sneaking silently. Soldiers patrolled the streets with military jeeps, and large quantities of armed men. Rainbow Dash kept her hand at her gun, Quill scouted around, in case there were any guards. Quill saw people walking around, strangely. His face grew in concern. Quill poked Rainbow Dash's back, she looked at Quill, then turned her head to where he was looking. She saw the people too.
"Are they high or something?"
"I'm not exactly sure... They don't look right..." Quill replied.
The people walked around, swinging their arms at nothing. They limped and dragged their feet, they didn't seem right. And all of the sudden, popping sounds were heard, and a majority of the people fell down to the ground, bleeding. Quill and Rainbow Dash gasped. The crowd of soldiers ran to the dead, blood-leaking bodies.
"Fucking infected... There's got to be more, GET THE PEOPLE INTO THE CAMPS!" yelled one soldier.
The soldiers ran down the streets, breaking into houses. People screamed when the soldiers pulled out people from the doors they charged into. Some were even shot, trying to protect their family. Quill watched in horror, Rainbow Dash and got more aggravated. Quill moved forward and pulled Rainbow Dash along with him, he kept his head low, behind the guardrail so that no one would see them. Soldiers moved the people down the streets, into military jeeps and buses.
"We better get to my uncle before they get to him..." Quill whispered.
Quill looked over the guardrail and saw that the soldiers were packing up and driving away, so he vaulted over the fence with Rainbow Dash, and ran across the street. Quill hid behind a van with the girl by his side, and peeked his head out, seeing that there were no soldiers, he took Rainbow Dash's hand and ran with her to another street, it looked quite abandoned and desolate. Rainbow Dash heard a ricochet of a bullet hit the concrete by her ankle, the both of them looked up and saw men standing on a building.
"Aw shit, the spotted us! Go, go, GO!" Quill ran down the dark street.
The sniper shot more rounds at the both of them, missing the shots. Quill sprinted past the windows and doors that stood beside him, Rainbow Dash vaulted over tipped trashcans. Rainbow Dash panted at a hasty rate, Quill took short breaths and bolted through the street. Military jeeps pulled up at both ends of the street, Quill gasped and looked for an escape.
"There's no way out! Drop your weapons and put your hands UP!" A soldier said through a loud microphone.
Quill didn't do as they demanded. Rainbow Dash then grabbed Quill by the collar of his shirt and pulled him into an open manhole. Quill grabbed a bar on the ladder to prevent himself from falling. He slid down and landed into water with Rainbow Dash.
"Keep moving!" Quill sprinted through the dark sewer water.
Quill and Rainbow Dash ran further and further. The armed troops dropped down the manhole, with flashlights attached to their rifles and handguns. The troops searched the opposite tunnel that Rainbow Dash and Quill were running through. Screams and gunshots we heard, Quill turned his head head around and aimed his gun down the hall, he only saw soldiers running through another hall, shooting at the unknown sources of the sounds. Quill kept Rainbow Dash back behind him, he walked down the tunnel to see what the commotion was about. Rainbow Dash kept her pistol out, looking at both her sides. Quill saw dead soldiers, and dead civilians.
"Holy shit..." Rainbow Dash whispered.
"The soldiers must've been fighting the people hiding in these tunnels. Looks like they're all dead..."
Rainbow Dash saw seven people at the end of the tunnel, they weren't soldiers. She poked Quill's shoulder, and faced the direction Rainbow Dash was looking. Quill saw the seven people.
"I wouldn't go near them. C'mon, let's just get out of this shit water" He said.
One of the people heard Quill and turned their heads towards him, so irregularly that Quill heard their spine crack and pop. Then the person's body turned towards them, and ran full speed at them. Rainbow Dash ran to the ladder at the manhole. Quill ran with her, the man grabbed Quill's foot and moved their head to bite him. But Quill got the iron sights of his revolver locked on the man's head, and pulled his trigger. And because it was at close range, a piece of his skull blew off, along with his body dropping to the floor, right before biting Quill's ankle. Quill climbed up the bars he held himself on, and pulled himself up to the streets.
"Looks like we just found out who killed those guys, let's get outta here while we got the time!" Rainbow Dash suggested
Quill nodded. They both heard the sound of screaming and yelling below in the sewers. Rainbow Dash got the manhole cover and put if back where it belonged, preventing anyone from coming out. But whoever was in the sewer started to lift the manhole grate, Rainbow Dash stomped on it will all her strength. Quill looked around and found a dumpster, he ran to it and pulled it, luckily it seemed to be empty. Quill pulled it with his strength over to the manhole. He placed it over top of the grate. The person inside the sewer tried their best to lift it up, but to no avail. Quill and Rainbow Dash had a sigh of relief. They turned around slowly and walked away, putting their pistols inside their holsters.
"That, I must say, my friend, was a close one!" Rainbow Dash said, "They're just like Zombies!"
"Yeah, no kidding. Those just might be the infected people. I had a strong feeling." Quill replied.
"I think you're right. Let's just get to Cincinnati, this is gonna be a long trip."
The two walked down the sidewalk together. Rainbow Dash grabbed Quill's hand, interlocking her fingers with his. Quill's cheeks turned red from his blushing, but he ignored it and grew a smile. Rainbow Dash looked at Quill, she was of course, attracted to him. Quill looked very, or somewhat, dominant with his flannel shirt on. Rainbow thought that he kinda looked like a Lumberjack. Quill seemed to be very manly, and he was always serious.
"Let's find some shelter, it's getting late." Quill said.
The day was quickly turning to nightfall, Quill turned his head around, and found a house that was once owned by a family that was taken to the camps the soldiers. Quill took Rainbow Dash's hand and walked into the house. The house was well organized! The lights were still one, it had clean carpets at the doorway. The windows had decorative curtains draping over them, Rainbow Dash walked into the living the living room and saw a flat screen television. There was a couch with red cushions, along a coffee table with glass top. Rainbow Dash plopped on the couch, laying down, putting her backpack on the table, along with her shotgun. Quill was in the kitchen, raiding the fridge. He had a smile on his face, seeing that there was homemade leftover fried chicken, with some cold bottles of beer on the fridge door. Quill took the chicken and some beer. He walked into the living room, while munching on some chicken. Rainbow Dash saw eat the delicious white meat that was in his hand.
"You got some of that to spare?" Rainbow Dash chuckled.
Quill tossed her a piece of chicken. Rainbow Dash took a big bite, and chewed on the meat. Quill sat on the recliner from across the couch. He took of his backpack, along with his guns, pulling the lever on the side of the chair, letting him kick up his feet. Quill feasted on the chicken, while cracking open a fresh beer. Rainbow Dash saw the beer and smiled as she observed the condensation drip down the bottle. Quill took a sip, then licked his lips. He gave the bottle to Rainbow Dash. She smiled and took a sip for herself, then giving it back to Quill.
"I think we're gonna crash here for the night. This place isn't bad!" Quill said.
"I know, right? I'm gonna turn something on." Rainbow Dash said as she reached for the remote.
Rainbow Dash grabbed the remote, and pressed the button to turn the Television on. She flipped through the ocean of channels, finding nothing that met her standards.
"Turn on the news" Quill suggested.
Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes and sighed. But she did it anyway. The news turned on, and the reporter talked about the normal stuff you'd here on the eleven o' clock news. Until one point where a picture of a germ appeared on the right corner of the screen, above the newsman's head. He started to talk about a deadly virus outbreak.
"Rainbow Dash, turn this up, will you?" Quill asked.
Rainbow Dash turned up the volume, the newsman talked about, what scientists call, the "Changeling Virus," Quill's face grew intense, and focused.
"More people in the entire country seemed to be infected with the Changeling Virus," The Newsman said, "Scientists predict that over one thousand people will be infected by six o' clock a.m. tomorrow."
"Are you serious!? This isn't good..." Quill got on the edge of his seat.
"Yeah, no kidding! What if your Uncle's infected?" Rainbow asked.
"I highly doubt that, Dash. My Uncle knew this was coming, he told me that he was prepared."
"What about our friends? Our family? Are they infected?!" Rainbow Dash sat up on the couch.
"No, but there's not one doubt in my mind that they will be. Soarin's still alive though... I know it." Quill replied.
"B-But... my dad. Will he make it?"
"I'm not so sure, for his sake, I sure hope he makes it. He was like a father to me too"
"Mhm, I remember all those Christmases, I remember when he got you that bike you would shut up about!" Rainbow Dash smiled.
"Oh shut up. I know he got me that, at least he was somebody who cared for me!"
"You loved him as your dad. That's what matters, Quill, because you never had-" Rainbow Dash was cut off.
"Now DON'T. Don't bring it up," Quill grunted, "I don't want to talk about that."
"I'm just saying that you never had your real dad to gr-" Rainbow Dash was cut off again.
"DON'T EVEN DARE. Don't. Speak. About. My. Dad." Quill replied in bitter anger.
Rainbow Dash got up off the couch, and got up in Quill's face.
"You need to stop acting like a tough guy, Quill! I know you aren't this cold-hearted son of a bitch you've been lately!" Rainbow Dash explained, "You let a family get SLAUGHTERED today! What the FUCK do you make of that Quill?!"
"If we tried to save them, we would have had bullets in our heads! Do you get it!? MANKIND IS GOING BACK TO THE FOOD CHAIN! It's gonna be every man for themself!" Quill yelled.
"My god, Quill. When the fuck did you become like this? This ain't you. You're so fucking cruel."
"You ain't SEEN cruel!" Quill replied with a shout.
"Oh, I haven't?! You almost chop the head off of someone in school, you shoot a cop in the head without any mercy! And you let an innocent family die. Yeah, I think I've seen CRUEL!" Rainbow Dash screamed.
"That's just the tip of the fuck'n iceberg! There's no surviving if you can't learn to realize that you have to protect yourself by ANY MEANS NECESSARY"
"What the fuck!? You're fucking heartless, Quill!"
"I know! And I have to live with it!"
But in a split second, Rainbow Dash wrapped her arms around Quill, and assaulted his lips with her own. Quill's eyes widened, Rainbow Dash held Quill tightly, she wrapped one of her legs around him, Rainbow Dash blushed as she added in her tongue to the kiss, Quill closed his eyes, and wrapped his arms around her back, rubbing her. Rainbow Dash sighed seductively when she sucked Quill's lips. Rainbow Dash pulled away quickly, the both of them blushed, Rainbow looked down with her hands in her pocket. Quill looked away as if nothing happened.
"I-I'm gonna search the house supplies!" Rainbow Dash ran to the upstairs bedrooms.
Quill chuckled, he brushed his hair back with the both of his hands, then sighing. He walked towards the couch and laid down on it. Quill took a deep breath and relaxed himself. Smiling, he closed his eyes and dozed off.
"That was really awkward." Quill said to himself.
Quill had his eyes shut, he started to lay a snooze on the couch, with his hands behind his head, grinning to the proven FACT that he was, y'know, kissed by his best friend! Why the hell wouldn't he grin? Rainbow Dash sat upstairs, on a bed, looking at the posters all around her. So many posters of movies and games, the walls were painted blue, this the room of a teenage boy no doubt! Rainbow Dash then laid herself down, she grinned too. Kissing the boy of your dreams isn't something to take too lightly, am I right? The girl with the rainbow hair twiddled her thumbs.
"I'm so boooored!" She groaned.
Rainbow Dash sprung off of the bed and walked through the upstairs bedrooms. Just strolling around to kill some time. She swung her hair around, out of her face. When something caught her eye. It was a mirror, with makeup and all sorts of fun things at it. She walked to it and saw a scrunchie, Rainbow Dash picked it up, and a thought came to her mind. So she grabbed all her hair on the back of her head, twisting it, and putting it through the scrunchie. Making a ponytail. Rainbow Dash looked at herself through the mirror, and smiled at how cute she looked.
"Quill's gonna love this for sure, I know he won't resist me!" She said to herself.
Rainbow Dash pranced downstairs and saw that Quill was fast asleep. She gave an annoying frown, then sighed. So Rainbow Dash sat in the chair that her good friend once sat in. Putting one leg on top of the other, pondering questions filled the girls head. Where to now?
