"Alright, Crusaders, what kind of crusading are we gonna do next?" Scootaloo said. We had given up the chalkboard because I had learned to read lips. We were in the clubhouse, have our meeting. I was part of the cutie Mark Crusaders, because I didn't have a cutei mark. Niether did Maybelle, so she was there, too. I still used the chalkboard though. Fluttershy was teaching me how to talk, although I couldn't even hear myself. I had learned how to use my vocal chords, but I was still working on it. I can hum, but I can't quite talk. I can't hear what I hum, but I can feel it. Don't as me how. I don't know. For a month now, Maybelle and I had been lving with Applebloom and her family. Maybelle and I had become great farm ponies by learning from Applejack and Big Macintosh. We had started school, and I loved it. Maybelle and I had a special tutor named Sparkle Dust. She had bright yellow skin. a redish-and-purple mane, and her cutie mark was a book. She had pretty pink glasses. She was great at sign language. Our regular teacher's name is Cheerilee. She's very pretty and nice. We were getting ready for school in the clubhouse.

We walked to school. Sure enough, we bumped into Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.

"Well, if it isn't the Cutie Mark Crybabies!" Diamond Tiara said.

"Oh my Celestia! That is one horrible looking saddlebag, Crystal! Oh wait, why did I even bother to say it? She can't even hear us give her some fashion adivce!" Silver Spoon added, even though I knew every word she said. Diamond Tiara pushed me back into a puddle of water and Silver Spoon looked at Maybelle.

"Well, how are you, ol' Stiff Wings? You still haven't thawed those out?" she said.

"They are not frozen, they're paralyzed!" Sweetie Belle said, coming to Maybelle's defense while Scootaloo and Applebloom dried me off.

"Oh, whatever, blank flanks!" Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon said in unision. With that, they walked off, laughing as they trotted to the schoolhouse. Suddenly, I got up and started to run for the schoolhouse with all my might. I thought about the essons Fluttershy was giving me.

"Miss Cheerilee! Miss Cheerile!" I screamed, not knowing if anyone heard me. I think they did, because Cheerilee looked up and stared at me. Diamond and Silver were looking at me as if I was an alien.

"Yes, Crystal?" Cheerile asked.

"Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were bullying me! They pushed me into a puddle!" I said, my brand new saddlebags dripping wet. "She ruined my brand-new saddlebags! I--I payed 15 bits for these! They think i'm dumb, but I know every word they say! Please make them stop!" Tears filled up in my eyes. Miss Cheerilee was walking towards me.

"Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, you're in big trouble!" Cheerilee said. She looked me straight in the eye. "Crystal, don't listen to a thing they say, okay? Just know that words can't hurt you. As for your saddlebag, I'll make Diamond Tiara's father buy you a new one exactly like it, okay?" she said, wiping the tears out of my eyes.

"O-okay," I managed to say. "Thank you."

By then, school was actually over. "See you guys later!" I said. "Gotta go to voice lessons!" I said, walking towards Fluttershy's cottage.

"Meet you at the clubhouse!" The rest of the Crusaders siad, waving at me as I walked away.
