Chapter Two

The darkness enveloped Eclipsus. He couldn't see anything, not even his hoof in front of him. Then there was a blinding light. Once his eyes adjusted, he saw a fireplace in front of him. He turned and saw his family sitting in the living space of the house they used to live in. His mother, with her pink coat and bright pink mane, sat next to his father. He had a dark green mane and orange coat.

They stared at him and he stared back. “Why did you leave me?” Eclipsus asked, “What did I do? Am I a bad son?” They just stared, silent.

“They know the darkness you posses. The evil of me and you if we work together!” Just then, a blaze of fire swept through the room causing Eclipsus' parents to crumble into ashes. The room changed and before him sat the Canterlot Castle. Only, toppled off of its mountain perch. Half of it consumed in flames and the rest in ruins. He looked down and saw the crown Celestia wore around her head. Then Miss showed again, “The only thing that keeps us apart is the attention your getting from the royal courts and that damned Celestia!” She smashed the crown beneath her hoof. “Eclipsus, the only way your going to find your parents is with my help,”

“No! You're nothing but an illusion made by my illness, your a disease and soon, you'll fade away,”

“Oh, but that's where you're wrong. You see I'm only getting stronger, and soon even you won't be able to control me. I'm warning you, if you don't allow us to come together, the wrld you have come to know WILL END!!” An explosion caused the scene before him to vaporize. Then all at once feelings of hate, sorrow, and anger flowed through him. He then saw himself in third person view. His body grew, his wings spread out like that of a bat, and his hooves turned to claws. A pool of blood surrounded him and he turned.

“AAAAAHHHHHH!” Eclipsus cried out. All the ponies on the train looked at him in concern.

“Are you ok?” Twilight asked.

“Yeah, sorry just a bad dream,”

“He's not going crazy is he?” Spike threw in. Twilight just kneed him in the shoulder. “Ouch!”

“How long until we're there?” Eclipsus asked ignoring Spike's question.

“About thirty minutes, you slept a good seventy-five percent of the trip,” she faked a laugh.

“What exactly is going to happen to me Princess?”

“Please just call me Twilight,”

“OK, Twilight,”

“I don't know exactly, but don't worry. I trust princess Celestia, and I know that what ever happens, you'll be happy,”

“I wish it were that easy,” He turned in his seat and looked out the window. In the distance was Canterlot Castle and the city of Canterlot bellow it. No matter how he looked at it, how beautiful it really was, he couldn't get the vision of it in ruins out of his head. He sighed and turned to Spike. “So, how did you get to become Twilight's assistant?” Spike grew a happy look and explained the rest of the way of how he was hatched by Twilight. However, Eclipsus didn't truly listen. All he could think was why this had to happen to him and why Miss had chosen him. All he did know was that Celestia had a lot to explain.
