Celestia's new Baby sister
Celestia was a very beautiful filly, with her white coat, bright pink mane and tail and light purple eyes. She took after her mother who had white, purple and orange sunrise mane, tail and coat and orange eyes. Celestia loved being the only child, it made her closer to her parents especially her dad. They did everything together, but that was all about to change. Her mother was pregnant with a girl who would soon take half of her parents love from her. She didn't like the idea that her dad might spend more time with her sister than her. But she loved the idea that she'll have someone to play with when her parents are at really long meetings. But she was all ready regrading that thought. Her mother was all ways throwing up and had no time to play anymore. She would spend most of her nights in the bath room and had no time to read Celestia a bedtime story. Her father was juggling his work and her mothers work since she was in no shape to do them. Her was so busy that he had no time for Celestia anymore. She became very lonely, being royalty she had a tutor couldn't go to a regular school, so she had no friends. Nine months later it was time for the baby to be born, "my water broke." they rushed her to the hospital but Celestia and her father where forced to wait in the waiting room. *WAH WAH WAH* Celestia was so happy there her sister cry. The baby had a blue coat, a dark blue mane and tail ans light blue eyes. she took after her father who had a dark blue coat, dark purple mane and tail and purple eye.
"Whats her name?" I asked.
"Luna, princess Luna."
Thus here sister was born, she thought that everything would go back to normal, but a baby Alicorn is a handful. With wings and a horn she pretty much torn the whole castle upside down. Luna would never want to go to sleep, she'd have the queen running around the castle all evening until she passed out. Luna was a very picky eater and did not like the taste of breast milk, so she started using a bottle a lot earlier than most babies. When she became a filly she was very smart and loved using the royal Cantorlot voice. Fortunately,as she got older she used it less.
Celestia liked playing with her sister except her sister was more mature than she was. Even at her young age. Physical games such as tag, hide and go seek, or races quickly grew out of Luna's focus and she tunnel visioned on her studies. So, as Celestia played,Luna studied. Soon enough, Luna began surpassing Celestia. Celestia didn't care much, being more free spirited, but kept on just to please her parents...and tutor who scared her into working.
"Dear sister, why do you not try harder to succeed in our academics?" Luna asked her older sister as they studies together.
Celestia was busy busy levitating books to hear the full statement. "Well...they're no fun. Boring old facts, stupid math equations, and why study magic when you're as good as i am?"
Luna looked up from her book,an annoyed looked plastered on her face. Her horn lit a dark blue and she pulled the books away with little effort.
"Good ,are you? I'm afraid not sister. If you do not practice, someone will surpass you, thus, being better at having a shot at the crown."
"Just what are you Insinuating, Luna?"
Luna simply released the books and left the room. No more words did she say. She left Celestia all alone to Wallow in her thoughts.
"Does Luna want a chance for the Throne," she thought, "She doesn't have a chance because she's younger than me. Plus, I'm the next in line."
Celestia, reassured, went back to her playing. Back in her room Luna looked at all the books on her desk. She studied everything she should and did as she was told. When it came to her Luna knew she was the better sister and was certain she would get the throne. But it all was came back to Celestia, she was older and some how better at her in most things. ‘She is not serious enough’ Luna thought to herself. ‘Thou clearly doesn't want thy throne.’ Luna kept telling this to herself but her heart always overpowered her thoughts. What if she hurts Celestia by taking the throne, what if Celestia is secretly studying and only pretending not to care about her studies? The last thing Luna wanted to do was hurt her sisters feelings.
“Lulu?” Celestia walked in disrupting Luna’s thoughts. “Are you okay?
“I’m fine, why does thou ask?”
Celestia smiled, “no reason, I’m just glad you're okay.”
Luna sat next to her older sister. ‘She must know, I won’t hold back.’ “Tia, hast thou thought about one's role in the kingdom?”
Celestia knew where this was going, “it’s true isn't it?” Celestia’s eyes grew big filled with tears. “You do want to take the throne from me! I know I’m lacking in my studies but I’m trying as hard as I can. I’ll improve I promise, but all I've always wanted to be just like dad and run the kingdom. I understand that you want it but please don’t take this away from me.”
Luna was shocked she had no idea that her sister wanted this so much. “No! I wasn't thinking that at all. Dearest Tia I love you and would never remove the crown from thy siblings head.”
Suddenly Celestia’s mood changed from sad to sinful and she put a grin on her face. “Oh sister I know you won’t.” She said in a tone of evil, Luna turned her head in surprise. “See no matter how hard you try you’ll never be as good as me. I’m the oldest and therefore the rightful ruler of Equestria and nopony, not even you, is gonna take that from me.”
Luna gulped, ‘what devil has possessed my sister’ she wondered, “a-and if thou tries?”
“I know just how to deal with foul mouth so I suggest thou holdest thy tongue.” Celestia’s facial expression changed once again this time to happiness. “See you later Lulu, I’m glad we had this talk.”
Celestia walked out and Luna was left there in awe. What had just happened? Did her sweet and kind sister just threaten her, in Shakespearean?! This was very strange and Luna was going to discuss it with her parents, but they had planned a trip to the far side of Equestria. She didn't want them to worry while away and she certainly didn't want them to cancel. ‘Tis immense news and I shall tell. Thou trip is for while only, so for now I must hold thy tongue.’
Soon Luna wished she’d done otherwise, on there trip her parents were ambushed. Her father was injured, all survived. When home he was rushed to the medic his wounds were healed with time. But in his weakened state he caught a deadly virus, this made Celestia very upset. She was closest to her father and stayed by him everyday, but this caused her to neglect her studies. Giving Luna the perfect time to surpass her and have a better chance at taking the throne. Pretty soon Celestia didn't do anything she wouldn't eat or sleep, she barely moved. Luna would come in and force her to eat so she won’t starve to death. Then one day Celestia dozed off and when she woke up she saw her father asleep. She stared at him for hours but when he didn't wake up she screamed. He was gone, the man that she loved so dear and spent most of her time with was gone, and there was nothing she could do about it. After the funeral Celestia barely came out of her room, Luna decided to check on her one day.
She knocked three times, “Tia, is thou awake?” When she heard paper shuffling she walked in. The room was a mess, feathers from her pillow lied everywhere. Papers where scattered on the floor, looking closely she could see that they were pages from her diary. Most of them were about her father and others letters she would send him if she could. Looking towards the desk she saw everything on it pushed to the floor and the chair flipped over. Moving her eyes toward the bed she saw the pillows ripped and the stuffing coming out of her covers. Then she saw a disheveled Celestia.
"Dearest sister is thou... okay?" Luna asked in a comforting way.
"Does it look like I'm OK" Celestia responded.
Luna decided it was best to be near her sister in her time of need So she decided to go wrap a wing around her older sister. Yet, As she walked over, She was met with the barrage of balled up paper and the Carcass of what what's was Celestia's diary. She has stopped. Barely dodging the oncoming attack she eventually made it to her crying sister who still put up a fight in Luna's young loving embrace. Eventually Celestia calmed down and cried silently.
"There there...That it up my sister."
Luna barely heard the sobs of her sister. "It's not fair...Not fair he was taken away from me."
"Yes...I also know how you feel. we both buried our father on this day."
"No no no... you don't understand." Celestia angrily pushed her sister away. "Before you were born and while you had your head deep in the books, I got close to my father. While you and him had nothing more than a Mere acquaintanceship status, We were on another level ,my sister. Something you could only hope to accomplish with him...But never would."
"What exactly are you saying?"
"What I am saying is that don't walk into my room and act like you know what I'm going through. We both may have lost a father...but I...I...I lost a close companion also. Now, please get out. As you can see...i have to clean...and begin studying."
Luna, keeping her royal and stoic appearance, walked outside and magically closed the door. One the outside, she looks unfazed about the series of events, but internally, she was heart broken. A single tear fell out her eye which wiped it away.
"Conceal...don't feel," Luna told herself, "You have eternity to fix that relationship...now...work on your studies."
Many weeks would pass before the two sisters would speak to each other. The dinner table quiet. No laughter ringing through the hallways of the castle. Only Grim silence that reminded everyone Of the past. Only when their mother called them together, was when the sisters exchanged pleasantries. Even then, they were dry, generic, and emotion less. Try as she may the mother couldn't return the "home" feeling into the castle...in her lifetime.
"Isn't it grand for us to spend time together?" Their mother spoke in a soft voice. She was wrapped in a blanket. "This picnic was just what we needed."
"Yes, Mother. This picnic helped us all out for the better." Said Celestia
Luna simply nodded as continued reading her book. The picnic went fine as each family member exchanged small talk, or jokes to end the awkward silence that arose. When nothing else could be said, their mother decided to bring up a difficult topic.
"Girls, you know my health has been deteriorating ever since your father passed. That's the way Alicorns function. Once their mate passes the other one follows shortly."
Both sisters went to speak, but their mother raised her hoof to shush them. "In my condition, I'm in no state to raise and lower the sun and moon. That's is why I brought you two out here. I'm splitting the duties between you two. Celestia, you will have the sun, and Luna the moon. You names mean what they do for a reason," She chuckled quietly,"Before I pass, I need you two to control the Sun and Moon seamlessly. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes,mother." Both sister stated. The sadness of losing their mother outweighed the joy of controlling the Sun or Moon.
"Good. Now, the spell to do it isn't complicated. Just takes a lot of concentration."
On her first try, without her mother's assistance, Celestia managed to move the sun...just a little, but enough to show improvement. Luna, on the other hoof, had the hardest time moving the moon. No matter how she tried, it wouldn't move from its place high in the sky. But Celestia being the older sister decided to show Luna how it was done. She was able to move the moon just a little, but more than Luna. Her mother was impressed that she could move both sun and moon.
“That’s great Celestia, but this is Luna’s job and she must do it on her own.” She said while comfortingly patting Luna on the back for trying.
“But I can do both by my self Luna doesn't need to worry about it.” Celestia knew she was lacking in her studies so she thought if she did this than Luna won’t be able to take her throne.
“Celestia don’t make this harder on yourself, now go study while your sister practices.”
Celestia left in an outrage, she went to her room and thought of ways to beat Luna, that’s when she went crazy. At night when everypony was asleep Celestia was visited by a spirit. It was the spirit of her dead father and she was sure she was seeing things.
“My daughter what has gotten into you?” He said with a stern look on his face. Of course she didn't want to talk back to it, that would be crazy, but it is her father. “Has life not treated you well?”
“No, my life is great. I was born into royalty, I have a mother who loves me, and a sister who’s..”
“Who’s better than you?” Celestia nodded in agreement. “Celestia don’t ever think anypony is better than you. We are all equal on our own level, Luna’s level is just more serious than yours.”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“Luna is great at what she does but can be better if her big sister is there to help her out and have fun.”
“Luna doesn't have time to be fun, all she wants is my throne.”
“The throne is not yours if you don’t work for it. I can see that both of you want it very much but Luna doesn't threaten to get it. If she does get it it’s not because she’s better than you it’s because you didn't try.”
“But I’m the oldest and the next in line why must I try so hard to get what’s rightfully mine?”
“Like I said it’s not yours if you don’t deserve it.”
Celestia’s eyes started to fill with tears, “I’m not trying to hurt her. I just hate how she came into my life and now is taking everything from me.”
“If you wish to get what you deserve then I suggest you heed my words. Be a good sister to Luna and a good daughter to your mother.”
With that he disappeared, and even if she was going crazy, Celestia did as her father wished. She spent the next few days locked up in her room studying, she learned all the things Luna did and more. Her mother was getting worried when she didn't come out of her room. But she knew that she must be practicing magic because every morning Celestia would raise the sun with out being asked. Even when Luna couldn't raise the moon at times she would do it for her.
Weeks later and their mother lay in her bed. Her final moments coming. Her breathing was staggered and the warmth left her body. Yet, even as she began to pass away, a smile lay on her face. Both her daughters were by her side to see it.
"My two...very loving daughters...i fear that my time with you has drawn close...soon ill be with your father. Both of you have made much process in your studies and and moving the sun and moon."
"But mother...even with all our progress...we haven't gained our cutie marks." Celestia asked. She had long ago accepted her mother's fate and barely felt grief.
"That's because you truly haven't figured out your talent. Yes, you can raise the sun and moon...but why does that make you special. It is just...another spell." Their mother took in one long breath. Her eyes began to close, yet reopened with one final job. "I want you girl...to split the throne. You both have done so much, so it would be unfair to just give it to one....L-l-look at that...it's time to lower the sun and raise the moon."
Both Luna and Celestia looked out the window. It was almost that time, but they still had time to spend. With their mother. When they turned back to her,her eyes were closed and the smile on her face had grown. She was gone and with their father. Luna began tear up,yet Celestia spoke.
"You can grieve, Luna." Celestia said. "Ill lower the sun and raise the m-"
"No...ill control the moon...it's my job." Luna lit her horn and began to move the moon. At first it didn't Budge but slowly it did. Luna started to struggle and sweat, yet refused her sister's help. Celestia, taking the sign, started to lower the sun. Within a few strain filled moments, the two celestial orbs crossed paths causing a glorious eclipse. It lasted for Only a couple of seconds before for the orbs finished the course And the night now settled.
Luna, when the moon was in place, began to cry. Not only since she successfully moved the moon on her own, but also because Her mother was Deceased. Celestia rushed in and embraced her sister. She also began to sob. Within the loved filled embrace a light, dim as a Star in the sky, grew bright as a dying star before fading quickly.
"Celestia...did we just..."
"Luna...i think we did..."
Both mares checked their flanks before Re-entering the embrace. "We finally got a cutie marks!" They both cheered. The embrace ended, and both went to the window and agreed that that was the most beautiful night they have ever seen.

The Princesses meet a Draconequus
A few years had passed since the death of their parents and Celestia and Luna had to grow up a lot quicker than they should have. It wasn’t easy ruling a kingdom, nor was it raising the sun or moon. At first Luna attended the long meetings and handled the decision making, while Celestia did the less serious stuff. Then she started to see how important it was to live up to their parents expectations. So she went with Luna to the meetings and helped out with some of the decisions. It wasn’t easy being an adult and Celestia got bored very quickly. One day she got tired of it and decided to meet some ponies outside of the castle.
“Luna,” she said to her sister coming up the extensive hallway. “I have something I wish to discuss.”
When she reached Celestia Luna stop, “yes sister what is it?”
“Well you know how boring it can be stuck her everyday?”
“Yes.”
“And you know how hard it is ruling a kingdom and how it’s no fun?”
“Yes, yes, this is all true but why does thou bring it up?”
“Well I wanna meet some ponies, outside of the castle.”
Luna sighed and Celestia’s smile had turned into a frown. “Sister you know we can’t do that.”
“Well, why not?”
“Who would rule the kingdom?”
“Well it would only be for a while.”
“Who would keep thieves from coming in?”
“That’s what the guards are for.”
“Who would make sure that they're doing their jobs?”
“That’s why there guards because we trust them.”
“I just don’t think it’s a good idea. Who knows how ponies will react to us coming out of the castle, off of the mountain?”
“We’re there ruler, they’ll praise us and treat us with respect.”
“Celestia we live alone in a castle on top of a mountain. Ponies don’t know that where this young and they shouldn’t. If one ever found out they'll try to overthrow us.”
“You don’t know that!”
“I know for a fact that they will. Remember the last time our parents went out?”
“That was before this is now.”
“Our father was murdered!”
“He was injured and caught a disease.”
“Enough of this foolishness! You will do as I say and stay here.”
“Why should I listen to you I’m the older sister.”
“Well then start acting like one and stay here to fulfill your duties.” Luna started to walk off but turned back, “and everypony thinks that I’m the older sister.”
Celestia was outraged and locked herself in her room. She didn’t care what Luna said she was sick and tired of being here and seeing her everyday. Sisters or not, older or not, responsible or not, Celestia was gonna get out of this castle even if it killed her.
She made a plan to sneak out the castle completely unnoticed. It wasn't very elaborate, but likely to work. She waited until the cover of night, got an old cloak, and Snuck out the castle. She knew the guards schedule by heart, so it was easy to make it outside. Once she did, she spread her wings, and flew down the mountain. The flight was long , but once she broke the cloud barrier, it was worth it.
Fields upon feilds of earth rolled as far as the eye can see. All were covered beautiful vegetation ranging in bright colors. Celestia landed on the earth and felt the grass crunch underneath her hooves. Down here...everything felt natural. Not magical like her home. Celestia was over come with the need to graze. She was taught never to give in to such animalistic instincts, but she was powerless to resist. She lowered her head down, and chomped on a patch of grass. The flavor was bland, and left a irritating after taste in her mouth, yet her body wouldn't let her stop eating. Soon she felt as if she was becoming one with her surroundings.
As she grazed, her ears twitched. They twitched to something...something watching her. She instinctively moved further away from her Watcher and Continued grazing. Her ears twitched again, but this time she began running. She didn't know why, but she ran. She could hear something chasing her. Fortunately, her legs were long and a long grass feild lay stretched out in front of her. She was outrunning her Pursuer. She looked behind her to see movement in the grass. When she looked back, a rock,Which she swore wasn't there before, appeared, and she tripped. She didn't have time to recover before felt a sharp pain on her flank. She looked to see a small organism, that looked to be a mix match Of different animals, biting down on her flank. In all honesty, it looked cute, yet the pain in her posterior dulled that factor.
"Uh...hello?" Celestia said more as a question.
The small mix match animal let go of Celestia's flank and smiled. "Hi! My name is Discord and I'm going to eat you!" (Daww)
Celestia's heart nearly exploded. Not only could this organism talk, but it had the most adorable Child like voice. "Eat me? Oh no...no. you can't eat me. I'm royalty." She picked up Discord and Put him on her back.
"But...but..."
"No buts...now where is your family?"
"Uh...i don't have one...or rather they kicked me out. "
"That's terrible they kick someone out at your age!"
"I'm actually a lot older than I look. I just haven't grew yet. Plus they kicked me out because I'm...magic" Discord said the last word in a whisper.
“Magic? How?”
“Like this,” he lifted his hoof, well rather his claw and flicked it. Some of the grass were pulled out of the ground grew arms and legs and walked away.
Celestia was amazed, “wow I’ve never seen magic like that before.”
“You’ve seen magic?”
“Well yea, you mean you never heard of unicorns before?”
“I’ve heard and seen them but I never thought they could do magic.”
Celestia had to make a choice, leave Discord here and return home and tell Luna what she saw or stay with Discord and have the best time of her life without Luna. “Hey Discord you want me to show you some magic?”
“Oh yes of course!” Discord said while jumping up and down on Celestia.
Celestia sat him on the ground and a light pink aurora glowed around her horn. Using magic she levitated a flower and gave it to Discord who clapped happily at her.
“So where’re ya from Discord?” Celestia said as she layed down next to him.
“Well I’ve traveled here from the far side of Equestria.” He replied as he twirled the flower with his fingers.
Something about the far side of Equestria seemed familiar to Celestia but she decided to ignore it. Celestia and Discord talked all day until it they got hungry.
“Um Celestia, you wouldn’t happen to have any food would you?”
“No not on me, but..”
“What?”
“There’s food at home.”
“Great lead the way.”
“Well, I didn’t exactly leave on good terms. You see I have a sister, Luna, and she forbid me from seeing anypony but I left any way.”
“Why didn’t she want you to leave?”
“Can I let you in on a secret?”
“Sure!”
Celestia look around before leaning into Discords ear, “I’m a princess.”
“I know.”
“What! B-b how?” Celestia said shocked that he knew about her royal ness.
Discord blushed as he looked away. He rubbed the back of his neck. "Your crown...your royal appearance...your memories."
"You went in my memories!!"
"It was the only way to know if I could trust you or not! And i can..."
"That is no reason to go into some ponies memories. There might be some stuff there they don't want ponies to know."
"Like the death of your father."
Celestia turned her back from him, "exactly."
There was a long, awkward silence that grew between them. Yet, it only seemed that Celestia could feel it. As the memories of her father came to her, Discord played in her tail. "So many colors!" He yelled. He seemed happy without a care in the world.
Her thoughts were interrupted when she noticed the moon moving. She lit her horn and the sun moved also. It was getting late and she needed to get home, lest Luna become mad.
Discord noticed Celestia's magic, the sun moving, and connected the two events. He didn't directly want to say it, but this pony was awesome. He could watch forever, yet his stomach growled loudly. He hadn't eaten in days.
"Seems like someone is hungry." Celestia said. The sun safely put away.
"Yes..."
"How about you come back with me to my home. On one condition."
"Which is..." Discord eyed Celestia, suspiciously.
"You become my personal assistant. Help me with my duties and a warm, loving home awaits. Do you accept?"
Discord didn't hesitate before jumping on the princess's back. He pointed towards the castle, "I accept! I accept!! Lets go!!"
“Okay then hang on.” Celestia spread her wings and started to fly up to the castle. Once she was there Luna was there talking with all the guards. “Sister….”
Luna turned around and embraced her sister in a hug. “Oh Celestia I was so worried, I was about to send the guards to go look for you. I feared that something bad had happened when hours went by, but I knew you were okay when the sun was lowered. Don’t you dare scare me like that again!”
“She seems nice,” said Discord hopping off of Celestia.
Alarmed, Luna backed away, “What hast thou brought to the castle?”
“This is Discord, I found him when I went off the mountain. He’s…”
“A Draconequus!” Luna said backing away the more Discord moved closer.
“I was gonna say older than he looks.” Celestia looked worried, her sister was so frightened. “Luna are you okay? Is there something you're not telling me?”
Luna looked over the mountains. “How far away did you go?”
“Only down to the field below us, no further.” Celestia put a wing over her sister who was shaking but Luna refused her comfort.
“Good, and no one else saw you?”
“Nope just him.”
“Good, he can’t stay here.”
“What! But why not.”
“I’m doing this for your own good, guards get rid of him.”
“But he has nowhere to go.” Celestia ran over to Discord protecting him from the guards getting ready to throw him over. “His family kicked him out because he’s different, he’s magical.”
“That’s even worse than being a normal one.”
“If he leaves then I do too.”
“Why do you want him here, don’t you know what they've done to us.”
“Why do you want him to leave, I don’t care what his family did. Sister please he’s the only friend I have.” Celestia’s eyes filled with tears as she hugged Discord tighter.
“Fine he can stay, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Luna called off the guards and she went back inside, as Celestia continued to hug the confused draconequus.
Luna went to the castle library and pulled a book off one of the shelves in the back, causing the bookshelf to turn sideways. It revealed a dark stairway, Luna light up her horn to light the way as she went down. Once at the bottom she used her magic to light the room, which was pretty messy. There were papers stacked up on the floor, some scattered, there was a misshelved bookshelf. There was one desk in the corner with books, papers, and notes on it. Luna walked over to the desk and levitated a journal, ‘Journal What lies on the outside’ is what it read on the front cover. Sitting down at the desk Luna opened the book and flipped the pages until she found what she was looking for.
“A Draconequus is a very mischievous creature." She read out loud to herself. "They tend to cause trouble where ever they go, they like seeing people unhappy just for the fun of it. They are known for hurting ponies some attacks maybe fatal. I myself have come in contact with these troublesome creatures. They have left me wounded and weak, I fear that my time is drawing........near."
Luna shut her fathers journal as she whipped tears from her eyes. 'I must get rid of Discord, before Tia gets hurt.' Luna thought to herself as she headed back up stairs. After closing the opening and turning around her eyes where fest upon Discord.
"Don't send me away, I promise I won't hurt anyone."
"I'm sorry but I can't let anything happen to my sister."
"But I won't hurt her, she's my friend."
Luna knew she couldn't let her sister get hurt, but taking Discord away might be the thing that'll hurt her. She just simply nodded and walked away leavin Discord there behind her.
“Oh Luna...what have you done?” She whispered to herself, "Hope this doesn't bite you in the flank later."
Luna left to attend to her work and try to relax. When Celestia and Discord saw that she was completely out of sight they cheered. Discord because he finally had a warm home, food, and a friend while Celestia cheered that she finally had someone that understood her, and a friend as well. To celebrate Celestia took her new helper to the kitchen.
"You can eat all you can eat...tonight only." Discord didn't shy away from the offer; he dived right in. Fruits, vegetables, salads, desserts...none of them stood a chance against the hungry Draconequus.
On top of his pile of apples cores, banana peels, salad bowls, and other discarded food, Discord let out a roaring belch only to ask for more food. Celestia, shocked, shook her head. 'How can something so tiny...consume so much?" She thought. How did it all fit? Where did it go? She couldn't figure it out, yet when she saw the tiny Discord circle around in his pile, trying to find a perfect spot. When he found it, he laid down. Sleep immediately took him.
The sun princess couldn't help, but smile at the slow, rhythmic breathing of her new assistant. That's when she decided that she needed to so more initiative around the castle. Now only so Discord could stay, but also so she wouldn't be at Luna's liberty.
"Tomorrow, Discord...we show the castle what we can really do." Celestia said determined, yet broke her stature when Discord let out a yawn.
"But tonight, we sleep."
The next morning, Celestia awoke with a new vigor. She threw the covers off of her and went to her bathroom. She looked to the mirror and smiled, "Celestia...today is a new day. It's your day." She combed her mane, put on her crown, and went to wake Discord, but first, she raised the sun which happened to be a lot easier today.
"Discord," she tapped a lump underneath a blanket on a makeshift bed in her room, "Get up, our day is now."
The lump in the blanket shifted, and then sprung up with quickness. "Pillow fight!" It yelled as it hit Celestia with a pillow. The princess laughed as she Joined in the game. She was having fun but could have sworn he would go transparent at time and miss her target. Oh well. After ten minutes of play, she decided to end it.
"Alright enough play. We have to get serious."
Discord walked from the bathroom "I stopped playing five minutes ago."
Celestia looked back at the target only to see the blanket slowly driftin to the floor. DUmbfounded, Celestia mouthed the words, “But how…”
She quickly disregarded the subject and look back at Discord. This time she was even more dumbfounded. Her cute assistant that she found yesterday had now grown. Not much ,but enough to be of significant matters.
“Why are you staring?” Discord asked looking at the confused princess.
“No reason, now lets get down to business." Celestia shook her head, "Our first job is to attend a short meeting with my sister at breakfast."
Both princess and assistant walked towards the dining all. Luna didn't look nor speak to either of them.
“Good morning sister,” Celestia said as happy as she could. Luna just simple nodded and went inside the dining hall without holding the door. Celestia felt a cold shiver run down her spine as the door slammed in her face. As she and Discord took a seat the servants brung in the food. Discord ate like a monster Luna thought he was, but Celestia just brushed it aside. “Sister it is a beautiful day isn't it?” Celestia asked trying to get the focus off of Discord.
“I suppose,” Luna’s voice sounded sad and lifeless. This made Celestia very uncomfortable, she just chuckled and put on a nervous smile showing all her teeth.
“Right, so um...what are our plans for the day.”
“Nothing, schedule is clear.”
“That’s great! Uh, I mean that means we can spend sometime together.”
“I don’t know, I think thou will just lock thy self in my chamber.”
This was going downhill fast Celestia didn't know what else to say, then Discord pulled her over to the side.
“Oh Discord I don’t know what to do.”
“Apologize.” He said bluntly.
“For what, she’s the one who doesn't want you here.”
“She was worried about you, she thought that you had gone out in the world and exposed your self. She’s just looking out for you and doing what she thinks is best.”
“How do you know that?”
“I can feel other peoples feelings it’s a thing. But that’s not important she’s sad you're sad, go in there and make happy.”
“But she’s barely talking to me and clearly shutting me out.”
“Then just make her listen, I know you can do it.” Discord gave Celestia a hug and suddenly she felt like she had the confidence to do it.
“Luna, my dear sister, what has ever gotten between us?” Luna looked away with no reply but it didn't matter to Celestia she just needed her sister to listen. “You do not have to respond but I would like if you would listen, please.” Luna turned her head back into Celestia’s direction. “I know you are upset about Discord but more about me leaving. I hope you did not think I was leaving you forever.” Luna shifted a little in her seat, “Luna I would never abandon you like that. I love you and I was going to come back to you to tell you how great it is on the outside. I only left to prove to you that we didn't need to be locked up all the time. I was lonely and needed a friend and I think you need one too. Discord is an incredible being with extraordinary powers. But most of all he’s a good friend and I hope one day you’ll see him the same way that I do. I’m not gonna force you to like him but I do wish for you to give him a try. I actually want all of us to get along with one another like a family.”
Luna looked back and forth between her sister and Discord. “I was never mad at you just, disappointed in myself. I thought that if we stayed here until we got older than no one would try to overthrow us. I was being selfish and only thinking about keeping my throne. I should have considered your feelings in the process.”
“Oh Luna, I know how much you wanted this throne.”
“And I know how much you wanted to be free.” The two sister pulled each other into a hug and giggled. “I have the most amazing idea, I won’t keep you locked up in here anymore. None of us will feel alone ever again.”
“Sister what are you saying?”
“I’m saying, guards get in contact with construction workers immediately. Tell them the princesses wish to build a city around our castle and connect it with the nearest train line. Celestia get ready to meet new faces because Canterlot just became the capital of Equestria.”
Celestia and Discord cheered, some of the guards and servants did too. They were all finally gonna see ponies outside of the meeting room, they were finally gonna live.
Before leaving the dining hall to prepare plans for the new city Celestia pulled Discord over to the side. “Great work Discord our first mission has been a success.” She gave him a quick hug and then followed behind Luna.
