The baby dragon was now in Ponyville, and at the Golden Oaks library. He opened the door and with Twilight still reading her books. He felt like he shouldn't disturb her, but he slowly and carefully came up to her, and gently poked her side with his finger.

Twilight then jumped in surprise and said "Oh, Spike. It's just you."

He was worried that he was annoying her but he said nervously "I hope i am not bothering you, am I?"

Twilight smiled and him and said "Of course not, Spike." I needed to take a break anyway. What do you want?"

Spike then told her "i decided to go to Fluttershy's cottage for my day for my day off.

"And?" asked the purple Alicorn

Spike then gave out a sigh and said "Is it okay if I stay with Fluttershy for the night? I...If that's okay with you that is?" he was now rubbing the back of his head., anxiously waiting for her answer.

Twilight then gave him another smile and said "Of course you can, Spike. I don't mind. In fact, you can stay with her anytime you want."

the baby dragon gave out an excited smile, and hugged her.

Twilight then hugged his assistant and asked "Why do you want to stay with Fluttershy? I'm not mad, i was just curious"

Well...I...I..." Spike was lost for words, and said "I just like Fluttershy. She is just so kind, gentle, sweet and soft-hearted, you know?"

"I understand." said Twilight.

Spike then thought of something in his head. "There is something else I want to ask you."

Twilight then gave out a little bit of a worried look. "What's that?" she said

"Are you going to need my help tomorrow?" said Spike

"Not really, Why?" asked Twilight

"Is it okay if I stay at Fluttershy's house tomorrow?" said a nervous Spike.

"Of course, Spike. If you're happy then i'm happy." replied the purple Alicorn

Spike smiled but gave out a scared and serious look on his face. He obviously couldn't get his mind off his "Encounter" with the Mane-iac. He then felt another shiver go down his spine.

Twilight then noticed the look and saw him shiver with fear. "Is something wrong, Spike?"

"Oh no, no, I'm fine." he lied.

However, Twilight wasn't very convinced. "Spike." she said "Look at me." she gently put a hoof under his chin to lifted his head to look at her. "You can tell me anything. I won't be mad at you." she said warmly

Spike couldn't hold his lying back any longer. He then gave out a little sigh and said "Alright. I...I think I saw the Mane-iac on the way to Fluttershy's house."

Twilight then giggled and said "Oh Spike. She's just a comic book character we defeated, remember?"

"I..I know, Twi. I don't know if I was imagining things or not." Spike then told Twilight about the encounter he experienced. "I was just about to turn back to Fluttershy's and then WHAM! I bumped into her. You should have been there, she just gave me her evil, maniacal grin on her face, looking on me."

Twilight just gave out a confused look on her face. "Are you sure you saw her?" she said, suspiciously

Spike groaned. "Oh forget! I knew you wouldn't believe me!" The baby dragon then angrily walked away with a huff to the door, but Twilight Stopped him.

"Spike, please wait. I don't mean to offend you. I just haven't been there to see it for myself."

"Yeah right. If you don't want to believe me, fine!" He opened the door, went out and slammed behind him. Twilight then reopened the door to calm him down

"Spike wait! Come back!" she called. Alas, He ignored her, and he just continued storming off angrily to Fluttershy's cottage.

Three Minutes Later

Spike arrived at Fluttershy's cottage again, once again without even knocking first. He then sat on the soft couch, and pouted himself with his arms crossed.

Fluttershy heard him and walked up to him. What's wrong, Spike?" she then gasped and said "Twilight doesn't want you to be here?"

"No. She said it was okay." replied the baby dragon.

Fluttershy then gave out a relieved sigh and said "Good. But what's wrong then if it's not that?"

"Twilight doesn't believe me about the Mane-iac. After that, I got mad and ran away from her." replied the baby dragon

Fluttershy then sat next to Spike, put her arm around the baby dragon, and pulled him close to her. "Please. Don't be mad at Twilight. She's just worried about you. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't mean to offend you."

"I just need some time alone with you, Okay?"

"Okay, Where would you like to sleep?" asked the yellow pegasus

Spike then asked nervously "Is it okay if I sleep with you?"

Fluttershy smiled and said "Of course you can sleep with me." in a very kind way. She knelt down and kissed him on his cheek, making the baby dragon blush.

"Thanks Fluttershy. What would I be without you?" said Spike. the sweet and gentle mare blushed and gave him another smile.

"Would you like anything for dinner?" she asked

"That depends, what do you have?" said Spike

"Would you like a salad with ranch, tomatoes, lettuce and carrots in it?" she said

Spike then got a wide grin on his face and said "Oh yes, please!"

Fluttershy giggled at his response and said "Well then salad it is." She went into the kitchen and began to cook spike's dinner, and preparing a big dandelion sandwich with lettuce for herself.

Thirty minutes later

Spike was just sitting on Fluttershy's bed, and looking at her bedroom ceiling. He was just thinking of Twilight not believing him. "Who needs her? Why won't she believe me?" he thought out loud to himself. He then heard footsteps.

"Here you go, spike. Here's your salad." It was Fluttershy, handing Spike's dinner to him. Spike then dug in the bowl and ate through it.

"You were really hungry, weren't you Spike?" she said

Spike gave her an approving nod, and continued eating his dinner.

"I will be downstairs, eating my dinner if you need anything else." she said

"Okay." said Spike with his mouth full.

Fluttershy then went downstairs to finish her meal.

Ten Minutes Later

Spike was stuffed and patted his belly. He heard Footsteps again. It was obviously Fluttershy. She had a smile on her face when she entered her own bedroom. "Did little Spikey-Whikey enjoy his meal?"

The baby dragon didn't mind Fluttershy calling him what Rarity calls him. He cares deeply for Fluttershy. "Yep, and did you enjoy yours, Fluttershy?"

The yellow pegasus giggled and said "Yes." She then thought of something "Are you still mad at Twilight?"

"Maybe a little. Not as much. I think I will go Apologize to her tomorrow morning, and after that, Why don't we have some fun together? You me and the animals?"

"That sounds like a wonderful idea!" she exclaimed. "What would you like to do tomorrow?" She then found Spike asleep on her bed. "Aww...Poor baby. He really needs some rest. She then looked at her alarm clock and saw that it was 7:30. She gave out a yawn and said "I need some rest too.". She was obviously tired as well from caring for all of her animal friends. She already thought of tucking her animals in, and tucked all of them in too bed downstairs. She turned her light out, and Kissed Spike on the cheek. "Goodnight. My little angel." She tucked herself in, and fell asleep.

10:53 At Night in the Everfree Forest

"There's my little Humdrum" said familiar female voice. "I think it's time for me to pay my little nemesis a 'visit'! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" It was the Mane-iac. She was just out side of Fluttershy's cottage, but she was good at being quiet and very sneaky. She snooped into places before, and didn't get caught by anyone at all. She is even oblivious when she has a sleeping hostage in the grip of her mane and her tail

She then gently unlocked Fluttershy's front door with her long, green, voluptuous mane, and she was already inside without disturbing a single mouse.

She looked on the couch in the kitchen, and in the backyard of the cottage. "Where is he?" she whispered She then went upstairs. Finally she found him in Fluttershy's room. She saw her completely under her covers with her head showing. "Saddle Rager!" snarled the Mane-iac. She saw a little figure under the covers and she gently pulled them very quietly. She find Spike sleeping like a baby. "Aww, look how cute he is when he is sleeping." She then used her mane to cover his whole body, except for his head like a cocoon , and she quietly tiped-toed out of the room without waking Fluttershy. "You are in for a surprise, Humdrum." She then gave a quiet, evil chuckle so she wouldn't wake him up. She went out the back door, closing it behind her silently, and made off with Spike in the grasp of her long mane.

Author's Note

So Spike wasn't seeing things after all. The Mane-iac is back! (Dun Dun Duuuuunn!) What will she do to him now that she has Spike in the grasp of her long mane? Will she kill him? Will she enslave him? We will find out in the next chapter.
