The journal of Sunny

I woke up, my mane all frizzy and lightning- like. And suddenly, as if on cue, my mane turned into a braid, I trotted to the dining room, ate my salad, and checked the calendar. To see what day it is, and suddenly, to my surprise, it said "May 5" "OH MY GOSH!!!" I zapped to Lumina and said "Lumina today's my birthday this is so AWESOME!!!"

"It's you're birthday?" Lumina said.

"Yeah it's my birthday! So what do you wanna-" I was cut off by Lumina teleporting. I decided to go to Sugarcube Corner and talk to Pinkie for a treat. "Hi pink-" I was cut off by Pinkie Pie saying

"No time! Gotta throw a party for somepony!" She said while galloping. Maybe I should send a letter to Cotton I thought. I trotted to the Golden Oak Library

"Hi Twilight" I said

"Hi Sunny!" Twilight said. "Do you wanna write a letter to you're  friend Cotton?" she said, I nodded my head, and she said "OK, you go write to you're friend!" I picked up the quill, dipped it into ink and started writing.

Dear Cotton,

Today's my birthday! How are you doing, by the way? I hope your fine even though I moved to Ponyville. Princess Celestia told me I was on some sort of "mission" when she sent me a note. She said its something about the rainbow of light but soon she will explain it. Anyway, I really like your cutiemark.

"Here, Twilight. I'm done" I gave the note to Twilight and she said

"Wow, you must have a strong friendship with her!" and Twilight gave the note to Spike, Spike sending it to Cotton. And a minute after, Spike burped another letter, it said:

Dear Sunny,

Princess Celestia told me that you are on the quest for the Rainbow of Light, a very ancient item. It has been locked away longer than the elements of harmony. It is said, that if you go to the Everfree Forest, go straight east and find the cave of wisdom, you might be able to find the Shrine of the Ancient Goddess which will give you the power to weild the Rainbow of Light. Anyway, I hope you accomplish it. Good luck!

the letter read.

"The Rainbow of Light? That sounds... Interesting" I said, putting a hoof to my chin. "Thanks, Twilight! I appreciate it."

"No problem" Twilight said, waving her hoof, I decided to tell Lumina about this, I flew over to my home. trotted over to Lumina and said

"Hey Lumina, do you wanna help me find the rainbow of light in the Everfree Forest?" I said,

"Nah, I need to... to.. uh... I need to..." She looked for something and said "Help my mom with her chores!" she said, galloping.

"Hmmm, I guess I need to find it alone" I said, my braid slightly unbraiding. I trotted over to the Everfree forest. "Eeep!" I said, hiding behind a rock. "I can't do this!" I said, galloping over to my home.  I climbed onto my bed and cried, cried. But I didn't let go of my hope. I trotted to Lumina and said "Lumina, wanna hang out?" I said, she replied and said,

"Ummm. Can't! Because umm.. Uh... I need to... Help Fluttershy!" She said, zooming once again.

"Hmm, these reasons seems like... an excuse!" I said, I decided to ask Lusa why Lumina was like this. I gave her a princess crown in exchange. "If you tell me, I will give you THIS crown" I said, she stared at it.

"Fine! I'll say what you want!" She said,

"Then confess to me that Lumina doesn't want to be my friend anymore!" I demanded

"Lumina doesn't want to be your friend anymore!" She confessed.

"Aha! I knew it!" I said, gleaming with pride. Before realizing this is bad, my mane turned flat. "Lumina doesn't want to be my friend anymore?" I gave the crown to Lusa, Lusa was happy now. I climbed onto my bed and cried. Later on, I found a rock. "You seem like a good friend!" I said to the rock, but as I said it, a red streak came onto my mane and tail. I started talking to the rock. And while I was talking with the rock, Lumina came and said

"Oh sorry I was ignoring you awhile ago. I was busy" She said sheepishly. I simply growled at her. "So follow me Sunny!" She said

"no" I said.

"What?" Lumina said

"no" I said

"why?" Lumina said

"Because you don't want to be my friend anymore!" I said

"You're coming with me!" She said, pulling my tail. I gave up. Lumina pulled me over to Sugarcube corner. There was Cotton, Pinkie, and her.

"Surprise!" They all said in enthusiasm.

"Sunny, I thought you would be more excited?" Cotton said.

"Excited? EXCITED!? You think I would be excited about a farewell party!?" I said. Everypony looked confused. "And it's terrible thinking that I will be sent away on my own BIRTHDAY!" I said.

"If this is your farewell party, why does the cake say 'Happy Birthday Sunny!'?" Cotton said. I looked around, saw the confetti, it was all sun themed! My mane bounced into a braid and hugged the three and said,

"You are the best I could ever ask for!" And thus, we partied 'till dusk.
