I could have sent her back...
Year 2, Day 229
Previous ChapterNext ChapterDear Diary,
I screwed up bad. Dashie refuses to leave the apartment, and now she won't even talk to me. I don't even think she's been writing in her diary, but after what happened last time, I'm not about to invade her privacy to find out.
I think I need to distance myself from her just a little. Everything I do seems to just backfire horribly. I just need to leave her with an open window and some food, and let her decide for herself what she wants out of life.
In the meantime, Marty told me that Jenny broke up with her boyfriend. Perhaps I could ask her out again, and perhaps I won't completely blow it this time. I'm not going to dwell on what-ifs, or on ways I could have salvaged our first date. I'm just going to try to make the second time the charm. I'm going to take her somewhere that isn't in Central. Maybe I'm lucky and she hasn't explored much of the city either, but even if that isn't the case, it sure couldn't hurt.
She might like Chinatown. She and I can sit down for a bowl of those wonderful noodles, then I can take her shopping for a nice vase to house the full bouquet of tulips I'm gonna give her. I've saved up about $600 over the last year, not enough to take her to Paris, but for a pleasant date in a lesser-known area of the city, it should do just fine.
