I smiled as I flew effortlessly through the breeze, my wings forming gentle curves as they flapped. The field below was plain and green, and in the distance the only memorable thing was a large, bushy tree. The horizon was deep crimson, yet the higher it got, the more the colour faded.
Red... orange..... yellow.... purple..... blue.
A few gray-and-white clouds were scattered aimlessly around the sky, obviously not altered by a weather pony. As I flew closer to the tree, more became visible in the distance. Thousands of pink, magenta and yellow flowers covered the usually green grass, making the ground look more like the colourful scribbles of a child than the beautiful curves of a hillside. A few jagged rocks pierced the almost-perfect field, going from deep gray to rusty brown at the tip. Pine trees lined the horizon, and the silhouettes of the mountains in the distance towered over me. A beautiful melody, carried by the breeze, caught my attention. I swooped down low, and watched a butter-yellow Pegasus sing to a herd of animals. A blue parrot with a black beak, a golden lion with bronze eyes, a silver elephant with beady black eyes, a leopard with small, perfectly arranged spots, A pink flamingo with beautiful white wings, a giraffe who's head reached the clouds, a toucan and two small robins, who were floating elegantly around her, tweeting along.
The touching scene caused a soft smile to be painted onto my face. Such love. The world around me began to disappear. The dream was ending.
A multicoloured track in the shape of an 8 was the first thing I saw. Then came the cheering and screaming crowds of adoring fans, then the flashing lights and camera snaps, and finally, the racers. They were in teams of two, a unique design of a filly riding on a mare's back to the finish line, though the track was littered with obstacles. The first team glowed; I could tell it was the dreaming mare. A rainbow-maned Pegasus with a smaller Pegasus with a mane of violet on it's back. Rose and violet eyes, and cyan and orange coats. Both had their wings tied to their backs with padded ropes to prevent any advantages. Next were two earth ponies, a stallion with a filly on it's back. The stallion had a jet-black mane and a bleach-white coat, his eyes ringed in a smoke-like grey, and his smile never wavering. He squinted with effort; I could tell that he was determined, as he almost closed his eyes with excitement. On his back, the filly was a cream colour with chocolate-brown eyes and a long, matching mane that was pulled into a braid. The next team consisted of unicorns, with their horns covered with soft, pillow-like coverage to prevent magical advantages. The Pegasus obviously wanted her success to be fair. The unicorns were both a soft blue, and had elegant eyes. The colt's eyes were a strong, piercing blue, while the mare's were a striking yet gentle shade of peach. The mare had light-pink hair with velvet-red streaks, while the colt's were the opposite. After observing the scene, I realized that the countdown was already 2 seconds in.

GO!
As expected the pegasi zapped forwards, and, in a second or two, were doing back-flips in happiness, clutching a golden trophy safely to their chests. I smiled as the happy scene faded into a soft, buzzing darkness, and I slowly lost consciousness as my soul traveled to another dream.
Now, this dream was a little bit unusual.
A large house made of cookies, chocolate (which was a strawberry pink colour) and twirly marshmallow twists, pink and white in colour. The path up to the house was built from shards of peppermint, and little sugary hearts lined the path. Pink sprinkles seemed to be there instead of grass, and when I nibbled a bit at the base of the well I smiled. Fruit Pastilles. Pink-and-green lollipops replaced the trees, and the clouds were large dollops of ice-cream. I trotted along the path, and soon saw a large mountain with little cubes of rock candy building it up. A dollop of cream lay on the top of the mountain, and animals made of solid sugar smiled as I made my way towards them. The sun was a large lemon-flavoured sweet, and the rain in one corner of the world was chocolate milk.
I could only think of two people with a dream like this: Pinkie Pie of Ponyville, or Discord of.... wherever Discord's from. A certain pink pony bounced over to me, and began nibbling at one of the lamb's wool. I face-hoof'd, and watched as the world began to disappear. Oh well - it was nice while it lasted.
