Chapter 4

It didn't take as long to get to the clearing as I thought it would take. In fact, it only took about 15 minutes to get there. It was a ....why am I telling you how it looked liked? We all know how a clearing looks. Just a clearing with a lot of stones. That's it. So I came there and I started looking for a sign of the diamond dogs. I searched for a good twenty minutes before giving up. This was way too much work. As I was about to get back to the castle, I heard voices somewhere to the left of me. I started walking to the place, to see three Diamond dogs standing there talking to each other

''But what are we're going to do? If Rover finds us, were doomed!'' one of them said

''We have to flee. We need to get to the mountains before he finds us.'' another one said

I had heard enough. I saw big opportunities with these dogs. It was clear that they wanted to flee for someone called Rover. I might convince them to join me I thought to myself. I pulled my hood over my head and sneaked right behind them

''Hello, gentleman.'' I said in my most evil voice. They immediately turned around

''What are you?'' one of them said

''Oh, that's not important,'' I said ''what is important is what you talked about. I heard a name called 'Rover'? And that you were on the run?''

''Yeah, but why do you want to know about him?''

''Because I might be able to help you, if you're willing to tell me what the problem is.'' I said. They seemed to think if they could trust me, Apparently, they thought I was trustworthy, because one of them started talking.

''Yeah, we are fleeing from Rover. He is the boss of the group settled here. We are fleeing from him because....''

''Because what?''

''Because he only lets us work in the mines. He only cares for gems, and the whole group is supposed to dig day in day out to find those gems. The whole group is starving, and Rover still wants them to continue.''

''But why don't they all just go away?'' I asked him

''Because diamond dogs have great moral standings. When a diamond dog swears that their loyal, it is for life. Its considered a sin to abandon your master if you have done the oath. That's why nobody can leave.''

''So, then why are you leaving?''

''We just couldn't take it anymore. We had to flee. I know that you probably think that we are the worst creatures.''

Now, these were creatures I liked. They actually had moral standards, and did not only care for gems (at least, most did not) if I could convince them to join me, they would make excellent soldiers. This also proves my theory that Celestia decides what comes into the books here

''You know, I want to help you and the whole group. Tell me where the home of Rover is, and I will gladly show him who the boss is.'' I said to them. They all looked like I was a mad men

''Are you crazy?'' one of them said ''You never get close to him. If you want to take him out, you have to challenge him to a duel.''

''Why wouldn't he send his minions to me if I challenge him to a duel?'' I asked

''Because it's forbidden to do so if someone wants a duel.''

''Okay, so where is this hole of yours?''

It took another five minutes before we reached the entrance. It was a hole in the ground, that went deeper and deeper. Lucky for me, there were no guards outside, so we could just walk inside. How farther we went in the cave, how more howling could be heard. Eventually, we reached a large hall underground, and what I saw there, stunned me beyond belief.

There, in the center of the room, were lost of diamond dogs busy digging while howling. From where I looked, I could see the ribs of some of the dogs. It was clear that they didn't like doing this. My thoughts were interrupted by yelling. I looked to the place where the sound came from, to see a diamond dog with a red vest. Looking at how he treated the other dogs, with his yelling, it was clear that he was the leader of the bunch. I walked up to him, still unseen by him and the dogs working, and I stopped a few meter behind him

''Rover, I challenge you to a duel!'' I yelled through the cave. Everybody working stopped and looked at me. Rover also turned around and looked at me.

''Who are you?'' He asked while looked at me. '' I have never seen anything like you before.''

''It doesn't matter who I am. I want a duel with you, right here, right now!'' I said in my bravest tone. But in truth, this was the moment I realised that this could end badly for me. That didn't stop me though, as I stood there trying to look tuff. Rover looked at me for a few seconds before he started to laugh

''If you want to die, then so be it. I accept your duel.'' Before I could say anything, Rover threw himself at me, with the intention to punch me in the face. I quickly tried to jump out of the way, but because I was focussing on avoiding his fist, I didn’t noticed until it was too late, that Rover tried to kick me.

Rover kicked my legs away. I felt on the floor. I tried to get up, but Rover was on my back in a few seconds, trying to hold me down while punching on my back. Lucky, I knew to grab his arm. I pulled him closer to me, while I knocked my other arm back, to hit him in his stomach. After a loud yell from Rover, the weight on my back lifted a little. This gave me the chance to throw Rover of my back.

I turned around to Rover, just in time for him to hit my face. I quickly stepped two passes back while holding my nose. A red liquid was coming out of my nose. I had no time to wipe it away, however, as Rover run up to me to hit me again. This time I saw it coming though. I grabbed his arm and made sure he couldn’t move the arm, while hitting his extended arm. A loud sound of crushing bones filled the cavern.

Before I could hit him again, Rover kicked me between the legs. Rover threw himself on to me again while I was on my knees, holding my balls he just kicked. Before he could get me down, however, I hitted his stomach

This time, I jumped on Rover. We rolled around for a few seconds, before Rover was on his back, with me below him. I quickly threw my arms around his neck (the same technique I used on Skittle hair before) and started to add pressure. But Rover was way stronger and I could barely press his throat close. Before I had to let him go however, I used all my strength to force his head to the right. Again, a loud sound of crushing bones filled the cavern. This time, however, it stayed awfully quiet after the sound.

I threw the dead dog of me, and stood up. I looked around the room too see that all the dogs were looking at me with shock. After a few seconds, they all started to bow for me

Dafuc?

It took me a few seconds before my brain registered what happened. They saw me as their new leader. Awesome!

‘’Diamond dogs, I am Youri, the dark lord.’’

Why did I use my own name? I could have had the best villain name like Harkon, but instead I said my real name. Good job!

It took a few hours before I knew what to do. The first thing I did was looking through the cavern. I found out that there was in fact enough food for everybody, but Rover didn’t want to share the food. I of course made sure that every dog got a good meal.

There were 30 diamond dogs in this pack, including the three that tried to run away. At first, the other dogs almost killed them, because they did something so heinous in their culture. I made sure that they wouldn’t be killed, saying that if it wasn’t for them that they wouldn’t have food right now. That seemed to calm the other dogs enough to not kill the three.

But I have to give it to Rover: he knows how to make a fortune. There was one section of the cave where Rover putted in all the gems and valuable items. I almost made a happy dance right there. Whole the room was filled with the gems. And it wasn’t a small room either.

I thought of what to do next

‘’Diamond Dogs,’’ I said as I sat at the head of the table while they were eating their meal, ‘’I decided what we will do next. We are moving.’’ There were some small whispers under the crowd, that stopped as soon as I hold up my hand

‘’But before I tell you more, I like to know something. How are you as species treated here in Equestria?’’ I asked. It remained silent before one of the dogs started to speak

‘’Good, except that we aren’t allowed to enter the pony cities.’’

‘’Are you being treated differently?’’

‘’Now that you say it, yes we are,’’ one of the other dogs said. ‘’When you compare us with the ponies, the ponies have way more rights then we have.’’

‘’Aren't you angry about that,’’ I asked them

‘’Yes, but what can you do about it?’’

‘’We can at least try something! I don’t know what you think about it, but I don’t want to be treated differently!’’ I yelled as I slammed my fist on the table

‘’I have been insulted and attacked without any reason. And when I fought back, all the ponies were angry on me. While I was just defending myself! I will not stand that we are being seen as lesser than the ponies. They pretend to be all about friendship, but then why do they judge without even knowing?’’  I stood up to stand above the diamond dogs

‘’They have better food, because they don’t allow you to trade with them. They have houses, while you live underground, because they don’t allow you to make your own city.’’ I shouted. I saw that some dogs were starting to cheer

‘’Do you want food?’’

‘’Yes.’’

‘’Do you want to have a house?!’’

 ‘’Yes!’’

‘’But what’s more important: DO YOU WANT TO BE EQUAL?!!’’

‘’YES!!’’

‘’Then follow me, and someday, you shall be treated the same as the ponies.’’

‘’YEAH, YOURI, YOURI, YOURI,’’

I sat back as they started to cheer and yell my name.
