Previous ChapterNext ChapterYou start walking away from the temple Leaving Daring Doo to die there. A legend is lost.
You make it ten hooves before becoming trapped in quicksand, you sink slowly all the vines and branches are just out of reach of your mouth or hoof. You hit the bottom of the quicksand with your legs three quarters of the way into the quicksand. There is no way to get out. Your only hope is the pony you left to die, and the ponies you don't want to find you for the knowledge of far worse fates than quicksand will occur upon discovery by them.
You hold the hoof that you manged to keep from getting caught in the quicksand during your attempts at grabbing something against your chest.
The first day passes and the thirst is growing stronger. As the night takes over you can hear many predators in the distance, you are afraid of them discovering you, but death is imminent, and you know subconsciously this is true.
come the next morning, you have been too afraid to fall asleep, in hopes of rescue all too futile. The heat is sweltering and mid afternoon the lack of water combined with lack of sleep is torture. your mind is no longer functioning properly, all you know is fear pain and dizziness.
as the sun begins to set once more a snake gets within your reach, it is brightly colored and you recognize it as having a very lethal poison. Though the exact effects of the poison slip your addled mind.
You reach out with your hoof to have it bite you prodding it and getting the exact reaction you wanted. Deadly venom being pumped into your veins.
The effect that slipped you mind was, that it was the most painful venom in the world. As it flows through your veins, your vision loses any semblance of sight, your hearing goes to static in the noisy jungle. All you know is pain. your name, your memories, inaccessible due to the pain that has overtaken your body. You have no Idea of anything, who you are, what you are, where you are.
The pain prevents you from passing out, however if you where to wake up from it, you would not remember what transpired. But unfortunately that is how your death occurs, pain so intense it strips away the sentience from the victim, so that all that is known upon death is pain.
