Chapter 3
Neon’s first court

“Well this has certainly been an interesting day.” Said Celestia as she smiled at her sleeping nephew, watching his chest rise and fall with his breath.

“Indeed, but at least now he seems okay, and in the end that’s all that matters isn’t it?” Asked Luna smiling at the same sight, but also setting up some new things in Neon’s new “Nursery”; including a changing table, which based of the sagging of the young pegasus’s diaper he would be needing when he woke up.

“ Are you sure he’s ready for this Aunt Luna?” Asked Cadence uncertain; Neon had only lived in the castle for a short time and yet in her own way Cadence considered Neon as sort of a baby brother.

“As ready as he’ll ever be, and besides I’ll be there for him, just like we were there for each other when me and Tia took over Equestria from Discord and held our own first courts.”

“Well in any case it’s time for us to start the night so if you wish for Neon to accompany us dear sister, then it’s time to wake him up.

“Right.” Smiled Luna as she lightly nuzzled the slumbering pony awake, Neon yawned and stretched as the three Alicorns giggled at the cute scene. “Well now good evening Mommy’s little moonbeam, how did you sleep?”

“Really good Mommy, I dreamt I was swimming in a giant bowl of ice cream.” Smiled Neon sitting up , which caused the mess in his diaper to squish up against his flank. “Umm Mommy I’m all icky, can you change my diapy?” Asked Neon still trying to get used to the idea that he no longer had control over his bodily functions.

“Of course, and after that Mommy and Auntie Celestia have a special surprise for my lil colt.” replied Luna levitating Neon over to the changing table and getting him cleaned up.

“A surprise, what kinda surprise?” Asked Neon excitedly squirming a little as Luna buttoned up his onesie and tickled his hooves a little bit.

“You’ll just have to find out, won’t you?” Smiled Luna as she looked at the adorable pout on the Pegasus's face. “Aww now don’t pout, we’re going to go see your surprise now, so you won’t have to wait long.” Giggled Luna as she waved her hoof signaling that Neon should follow her.

“Well, I hope you have a good night everypony, I’m off the bed.” Smiled Cadence as the three others bade her good night, and left for the grand balcony.

“Oh wow I get to watch you raise the moon and help you hold the night court!” Cheered Neon bouncing up and down, and doing a yes dance.

“Alright Neon, calm down hun.” Smiled Luna as she used her magic to stop Neon’s bouncing. “Now watch okay.”

When they were sure Neon was paying close attention both Princesses took off into the air, Celestia flaring her wings and pointing them down as she descended with her sun and Luna doing the opposite as her moon raised high into the Equestrian sky.

“Well how was that Neon?” Asked Celestia as they landed back on the balcony.

“That was amazing!” Neon Squealed,and the the two sisters simply grinned.

“All rise.” Ordered the Guard as Luna and Neon entered the throne room, “Her highness, Princess Luna of the moon and her son, Prince Neon Shadow.”

Neon and Luna made their way down the aisle off the courtroom, heading towards the thrones at the end of the room, however it didn’t take long for the ponies in attendance to notice Neon’s foalish attire and begin to gossip, some amused, others offended.

“Aww how cute, he must be really close to his Mommy, I mean look at his onesie it’s got her cutie mark all over it.” Giggled one pony a yellow coated unicorn with a blonde mane, while others were much colder.

“How dare he make such a mockery of this court and his mother by wearing such things at his age, the prince has just lost all credibility in my book.” Hissed a dark grey coated unicorn with a teal mane.

“Don’t pay them any mind Lil Neon, those uptight snobs are just jealous that they don’t get to get to be my special lil one.” Smiled Luna as she saw Neon starting to become upset.

“But,” Began Neon before Luna put his pacifier in his mouth.

“Shhh okay, you’ll do fine, now come on, we can’t keep these ponies waiting.” Smiled Luna as she took her seat and motioned that Neon should do the same.

“Court is now in session, all whom have just cause may approach the throne and have their worries listen to by the lunar regents.” Continued the guard once both Neon and Luna had taken their places, surprisingly it was the teal maned unicorn who had jeered Neon beforehand who came forth first.

“Highnesses.” He bowed, “ I’ve been having some trouble with my deliveries from Hoofington, it would seem that every time I place an order for the ingredients I need for my bakery they are stolen by a group of wandering vandals, would it be possible for the royal night guard to investigate this matter further. I would of course not be bothering your night court highness, if it were not that the crimes are being committed at night.” Explained the Unicorn.

“Neon, would you like to have this one?” Asked Luna smiling with confidence in her son.

“ Would your inquiry not be better placed with the basic police force within Canterlot, rather than our guard you do realize that the function of the royal guard is to protect the royal family, such matters, unless these thieves are high level fighters that the police cannot handle, are beneath them.

“I have of course presented this problem to them first my Prince, however it would seem that the unit they sent out to deal with the problem never came back, and my goods continue to go missing. I’m importing the throne, I need the assistance of the royal guard.” Replied the Baker bowing even lower than before, at which Luna nodded.

“If a unit of the Canterlot police force has been taken then the next step is to of course send a small group of our guard to deal with the situation, and so it shall be done. By next moon we shall send out the promised guard, and should they not return we will personally deal with this problem ourselves, thank you subject, if that is all.

At that the teal unicorn bowed and the court continued in the same manner for the remaining of the night, except for the yellow unicorn, when it was her turn to come forward she complemented Neon on how cute he looked and how brave he was to express himself as he had.

“Umm well thank you.” Stammered Neon blushing as Luna smiled and thanked the mare for her kind words.

“You did very well my little moonbeam.” Praised Luna as she fed Neon and stroked his mane as she had the night before while he was eating.

Neon paused in his suckling to look up into his Mommy’s face and smiled. “Yeah that was really fun.” He sighed before starting again.

“Mommy’s proud of her lil one.” Hummed Luna as she enjoyed the feeling of getting to nurse her lil foal. “Make sure to drink as much as you can hun, Mommy wants her foal to grow up big and strong.” At this Neon nodded not pausing in the slightest.

Soon all the warm milk and the events of his first court caught up with the young Pegasus and he yawned, pulling away from his Mommy; he allowed her to nuzzle him close and then put him into his crib for the day.

“Going to go raise the sun with Auntie Celly.” Yawned Neon snuggling into the blankies and the plushie Luna that he had been given and closing his eyes.

“Yes.” Replied Luna giving him a kiss to his forehead.

“I wish I could see it.”

“Little foals need their rest, goodnight my little moonbeam, know Mommy’s never far away.” Sighed Luna as she turned on the nightlight, shut off the main lights, and closed the door to Neon’s nursery.

And there we go, my first completed multi chapter fic as well as my first Mommy/Foal story. I noticed that it seemed to have a decent response as it's gotten me 3 watchers so far and it's only been up 2-3 day, well enjoy the last chapter and feel free to review/Critique
