Luna's secret Child
Chapter 1: Love at first sight
Load Full StoryNext ChapterIt was at an Olympic race 65 years before the Nightmare Moon incident. There she was Princess Luna with her sister, Celestia, sitting upon a private cloud. It was the race of the best of the best. Representing Equestria was Blitzing Thunder in his Wonderbolt attire with one lightning bolt going straight down the middle. The race was about to start and Blitzing Thunder scoped out the competition. Nothing an Electra pony couldn't handle he thought to himself. He checked his right side seeing a Griffin. Then he looked up noticing the private booth containing the two princesses of equestria. Luna was looking around seeing all the fans cheering for their nation. She then caught Blitzing's eye. They looked at each other for a second. Even through the tinted glass Blitzing noticed Luna's beauty. Luna also noticed the handsome Electra pony. The race was seconds away. Blitzing winked and smiled at the lunar princess. This caused Luna to turn a light shade of pink.
“Sister are you alright?” The sun goddess asked.
“Yes, I’m alright.” Luna said, trying to make the pink fade but she couldn‘t stop staring at the Wonderbolt. Celestia then looked at the stallion Luna was looking at and smiled. A gun shot was sounded and the racers shot from their stance leaving a cloud tails like comets. Luna noticed that the tail Blitzing was leaving behind wasn‘t a cloudtail or airslashes but Lightning. Blitzing was holding a huge lead going through the obsticals easily as if they were for a made for a beginner. He was halfway through when he past the Equestria section with all kinds of screaming and cheering pegusi. Luna couldn‘t take her eyes off him she had so many thoughts buzzing through her head.
“Looks like we’re bringing home this trophy, huh sister.” Celestia asked but Luna was completely silent. Celestia looked over to see her sister who looked love struck. Where ever Blitzing Thunder went Luna‘s eyes followed. Blitzing could see the finish line and there was no stopping him. When he past the whole Equestria section stood to their feet and screamed. Luna‘s eyes widened seeing him win, zooming past the finish line like lightning. She had so many thoughts buzzing around in her head. “I wonder if I should meet him. I wonder if he saw me. I wonder if he‘ll even like me.” All those thoughts buzzed but she couldn‘t focus on one before Celestia broke the little concentration she had.
“Sister, you seem very interested in that stallion. Why don‘t you go and meet him?” Celestia suggested. Luna was blushing at the question choking on words not knowing what to say back.
“Well uh-uh what would he want to do with a Princess?” Thinking of something making the lunar princess feel off balance.
“Don‘t worry, Luna just be yourself. Do you want me to fly you down?” Celestia offered.
“Do you really think I should?” Luna asked, not sounding very confident.
“Whatever you want sister. You know what? I'll help you, c'mon.” Celestia said reassuringly as she opened the cloud door.
The two were on the main floor. The coaches were all congratulating their athletes. Blitzing was with his coach drinking water with a towel over his shoulders.
“Should I go up and talk to him?” Luna asked, not knowing what to do.
“No. We‘re the princesses and every pony knows it’s a great honor to meet us. So let’s pretend to talk and wait till he comes to us.” The sun goddess explained.
“Alright.” Luna said trustingly hoping what she said works.
So the two start “fake” talking. Blitzing, his coach, and three other pegusi were at a water stand.
“Wow never seen anything like it Thunder. You really wanted to bring that trophy home didn‘t you?” His coach exclaimed as the others agreed with him.
“Well I don't sleep to dream, I sleep to build stamina.” Blitzing replied. The five cheered at the statement and drake some water. It was quiet for a moment as the three nudged each other looking back at the princesses.
“So, Blitzing. Saw ya wink up at Princess Luna.” The first one said.
“Wh-What are you talking about?! No I didn‘t. Blitzing argued in his defence trying to hide the truth blushing.
“You can't hide it, Thunder. We all saw you.” The second Pegasus said.
“Yeah, she could be your first girlfriend in like, ever.” The third nudged. “Bet you wouldn't ask her out on a date.” He added.
“Wait hold up. An Electra pony. You think the last Electra pony wouldn‘t do something like that.” Blitzing said in false bravery.
“Ok then. As your coach I want you to go over there and ask Luna out on a date.” His coach challenged.
“Alright!” Blitzing Thunder Really wanted to hit himself with a rock for saying what he said. He hadn‘t prepared or anything. He just had to be bold like his father was. So he walked over half way thinking of the positives then stopped and looked back. His friends gestured him onward. It looked like he had walked a mile from where he just was. And the princesses were what looked like two feet away. Luna could see him out of the corner of her eye. She started panicking in her head.
“Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh. He‘s right there, I don‘t know what to say.” She worried. Panicked, she thought this was the worse feeling in the world hopeless she thought she might screw it up.
“Luna, don't worry. Simply just start off with what his name is, congratulate him on his performance, then the rest should come naturally.” Her older sister reassured. Luna‘s worried look faded but the blush was still visible tinted red. Blitzing wasn‘t fairing to well either. He knew putting on a brave face wasn‘t going to help him this time. One slip up and he can be the most hated in the kingdom. He was right behind Luna. Celestia gestured her to turn around. What Luna saw made her stomach jump. The handsome stallion whom she had grown feelings for was standing before her. Blitzing knew he had to say something fast instead of looking like a complete idiot in front of royalty.
“Excuse me-princesses, I hope I’m not intruding on your conversation.” Blitzing said before bowing. Luna was stuck looking into his eye, his sky blue eyes.
“No. Not at all in fact I think I heard somepony call me anyway.” Celestia replied. Hearing this Luna darted her head at her older sister. Celestia although stepped away with a smirk on her face.
"S-So being a princess must keep a mare busy, huh." Blitzing said not realizing he was alone with the princess he had grown feelings for.
"Yeah, sure does." Luna answered, blushing a bit but not as bad as before. "What is your name k-kind stallion?" Luna asked choking on her words making the blush redder.
As Blitzing looked in the face of the beautiful Princess Luna, looking into her deep blue eyes and the long flowing star-strutted mane. "M-My name is Blitzing Thunder, I’m an El-El-Electra pony currently the last of my kind."
Luna then looked up at the yellow stallion looking into his sky blue eyes once more. His sky blue mane was laid back, it had a streak of yellow ran through it along with his tail. "Really, I've studied them a bit but I never thought I'd really get to meet one." Luna said not casting her gaze anywhere else.
"You have well maybe, you know, if you want to I could teach you more about them. That is if you want to, princess." Blitzing looked away when he asked not knowing what she would say.
This was the type of question Luna had been waiting for him to ask her ever sense he first winked at her. "I would love to." She really wanted to yell it as loud as possible, but that’s over aboard.
Blitzing never thought that he would here those words from any pony, let alone a princess! "Alright, Uh, how about tomorrow noon at starswirlbucks?"
"Yeah that works for me. I guess I'll see you then. Oh and your performance out there today was spectacular!" She smiled.
"Thanks. Alright I guess I'll see you tomorrow noon." He reassured.
"Yep see you then." Luna said having to part with the sky blue eyes. Blitzing then too had to part with the princess of the night’s beauty.
Luna had caught up with her sister and got into a chariot home it was getting late. Luna was giddy hopping around the castle and when she raised the moon it looked so close and the stars were bright. Celestia was having an "I told you so" moment. When Luna went to her bed, she left her balcony windows open, she was so giddy, she could hardly sleep, but she wanted to get her beauty sleep for her new stallion.
Blitzing was also giddy he wanted the best of tomorrow. Seeing the night sky like this made him so happy because he knew he made the lunar Princess happy. He flew to the sky and concentrated his power into light. Light of wonderful colors shot across the sky. Luna saw the light show and watched in awe. Neither could what until tomorrow or what would happen but now. Now is the time for rest.
