Chapter 2: Second date

Morning at the castle, Luna had woken up excited as ever. She couldn‘t wait for her "date". She wasn‘t sure if she wanted to call it that yet. She had taken a long time in her bathroom. She wanted to look perfect before her "date". Combing her hair with magic to hold her brush. Washing her face. Eyeliner. The basic girl stuff.

Coming out of her room she smelled something delightful. Fresh fruits of some sort, maybe a DLT. So she hurried down to the royal mess hall passing up guards. One had dropped his spear when he looked at her. As she entered the royal hall of eating she saw her sister who had just sat down with her plate of food.

“Princess Luna!” A chef exclaimed. “Aren‘t you looking dazzling today. Would you like me to bring your food to you?” He added.

“Yes please, and thank you.” Luna replied happily as the chef went to get Luna‘s food. Celestia then gazed upon her younger sister.

“My, my. I didn‘t get a full report from yesterday but by the way you were jumping around yesterday and how dazzling you look today I can assure it was something good.” Celestia said, making Luna fade pink just a little while the chef brought Luna‘s food.

“Well yeah. It went great! He claims he is an Electra pony currently the last of his kind.” Luna exclaimed as her sister listened on.

“Really? So what are you going to do about that last part?” Celestia questioned as Luna took a bite out of her DLT. It took Luna a second to understand what her sister meant. But when she did she blushed harder and looked down at her plate.

“HA. I'm just playing with you sister. So what's going on today?” Celestia giggled.

“Well were meeting again today at noon at starswirlbucks. He said he was going to teach me more about the Electra species.” Luna said as her blush faded.

“Well I can tell you prepared. Now get a move on. Wouldn‘t want you to be late now.” Celestia playfully scolded.

Blitzing had just woken up. He went to check his clock 11:00. “Looks like I‘ve got an hour.” He then walked tiredly to his bathroom. He used his special Iron-will body wash and shampoo. Brushed his teeth rinsed. The basic guy stuff. His mansion was empty most of the time. No pet no siblings, nothing. But now he could have something special with Luna. By the time he was done it was 11:45. “There’s no such thing as early. Either on time or late.” he told himself. He went and got his wallet and did a touch up on his hair. “11:55 well got to go.” He flew off heading to starswirlbucks. Luna was already there.

Luna had been waiting for 10 minutes and it was already 11:59.

“He said noon hopefully he'll be here.” She thought to herself. It was her first date so she wasn't sure if he stood her up. Just when it turned noon at the door Blitzing walked in.

“Princess Luna, you’re looking wonderful today.” Blitzing said, breaking the ice.

“Thank you. Mares gotta try right?” she responded as the two chuckled at her response.

The waiter walked up looking tired in the face. “Hello princess Luna. May I take your order?” He asked lazily.

“Yes. Just a latte for now.” She responded back.

“And for you, sir?” The lazy waiter asked again.

“Water please.” Blitzing replied.

“I'll be back with your stuff.” The lazy unicorn waiter said, walking away.

“Talk about no enthusiasm.” Blitzing joked as the two laughed again. “So did you see that light show last night?” Blitzing asked still having the giggles.

“Yeah it was beautiful. Did you do it?” The Lunar princess asked still seeing the images of light across the sky in her head.

“Yeah that was me. And I saw the moon and stars, they were beautiful as well.” Blitzing complemented blushing a bit because he realized he called her beautiful in a way. But there's nothing wrong from the truth.

“Thanks. I tried I just felt really happy yesterday.” The lunar princess smiled back as the waiter plops the drinks down.

“So you wanted to know more about the Electra species?" Blitzing questioned. “Well for starters we live quite a long time. I'm only 30 but my father was killed at 235 years old on needles point race course.”

“I’m sorry to hear. May I ask how exactly he died?” Luna asked curiously.

“He died going straight through a rock trying to pull up but the wind was pushing down.” Blitzing choked a bit. “I watched it happen. But one day I'll show that course whose boss.” Blitzing added.

“Was he a Wonderbolt?” Luna questioned.

“Yeah, top of his class and became a teacher.” Blitzing answered.

“Oh, well I'm very sorry for your loss.” Luna said while her whole body filled with sorrow.

“It’s okay, anyway, Electra ponies can control weather. Blitzing explained. “But mainly lightning.” He added as Luna sipped some of her latte.

“May I have a demonstration?” Luna asked hoping he would pull some kind of trick out.

“Yeah, sure. Push me two of those cheap metal coasters.” He asked her politely as she pushed them over to him while he charged a hoof with some kind of light or electricity. Having one coaster on the table and using magnetism to pull the other one in the air. With his other hoof he pushed his cup of water over. But instead of it all just pouring all over the table it collected and formed in between the two coasters.

“Now magnetism can take different forms. I'm using it to hold the water. Now if I were to let go of this magnetism the water would pour all over me and I'd have to leave looking like I peed on myself. Blitzing explained as Luna watched the feat in amazement and giggled at the last part. She only thought that unicorns could do something like this!

“Wow, a Pegasus with the power of a unicorn. I've never seen anything like it. Extraordinary! Luna exclaimed as Blitzing slurped up the floating water.

“C'mon Luna, there's not a lot I can show you in here. To the outdoors we go?” Blitzing asked.

“To the outdoors we go.” Luna responded with a big smile on her face.

“Don't worry princess, I got the tip.” Blitzing said before pulling out his wallet and slapping 20 bits down on the table and headed out the door.

Outside of starswirlbucks the two walk into a small farmer’s mart where there is a smell of fresh ripe fruit. It was packed inside but enough room to run or fly through. Blitzing thought of another thing to show Luna.

"Hey Luna you want some fruit or something." He asked being a gentle colt.

"Now that you mention it I do have the strongest craving for some kind of fruit." Luna answered

"Well what kind would you like?" He asked ready for what she wanted. He really liked her and wanted to show her whatever she wanted he would do it for her.

"An apple would be nice if that's not a bother for you." She said not knowing how he would respond.

"Okay." Blitzing said simply when Luna Blinked. It was an awkward moment because of the 30 second silence.

"Well are we going to get the apple?" Luna asked curiously.

"You mean this apple? I got it when you blinked 30 seconds ago." He stated.

“How di--?" Luna said before trailing off and looked at the black skid mark then at the shining apple blitzing had in his wings.

"Speed.'' Blitzing said not in a conceded or bragging way but as if we all knew it was true. The two walked out of the market and into a park. Fillies and their parents were playing, running, around. The summer air was blowing and the heat was just right. But it was surprisingly late 5:00. The sun would be setting and Luna would have to raise the moon soon. Blitzing had a thought he just didn't know how the residents would take it.

"Hey Luna you know how I told you how Electra ponies could control weather?" He asked stopping and raising a hoof to the sky. Black clouds started to appear and it got a little cold.

"Yes I remember." Luna replied

"Well watch this and hope that the residents don't kill me." He said getting the chuckle he wanted from the princess. His hoof started glowing and the clouds started to swirl. The residents looked up and noticed it was getting cold in just that area and not in the city. Then there was a loud boom. It was snowing and the ground filled with snow quick. The fillies were throwing snowballs; it was an even happier site then before it snowed. Even the parents were having fun. Blitzing was admiring the scene until he got hit with a snowball.
"What th-?" he cut himself off when he saw Luna looking very suspicious "So that how you like playing huh. Alright princess." He said balling up a snowball. She hit him with another snowball and fell down laughing. He threw his snowball and it hit her straight in the face.

"Oh I'm going to get you for that!" She yelled. Blitzing started running away laughing with Luna laughing behind him. He led her all around the park. She caught up to him and tackled him. The two kept laughing a little but then looked into each other's eyes. There was a little bit of snow on Luna's nose. Blitzing took his hoof and rubbed it across her nose knocking the snow off. Luna laughed and nuzzled him. He wasn't prepared for it and the blush on both of their face was a red as a cherry.

"You’re not bad, princess. Not bad at all." He said not moving his site of her.

"You’re not bad yourself, Blitzing." She said not moving her eyes either.

"Hey princess may I ask you something?"

"Yes anything." She was ready for the question because it would be a big fat yes.

"Can you help me up my back is getting cold." He chuckled a bit while Luna let him up.

"Sorry." Luna apologized

"No, you’re ok just having fun. Nothing wrong with that." He encouraged her nothing was wrong.

The site was wonderful like a winter wonderland, the kids and parents were having a blast in fact the whole park was filled with ponies and families playing and frolicking in the snow. The Electra and Alicorn stood and watched the scene smiling on and walked out from under the clouds and away from the park. They were surprisingly near the castle and on the balcony Celestia was setting the sun.

"I have to go." Luna said disappointedly kicking a pebble.

"Alright." Blitzing said just as disappointed sounding. He unfolded his wings and prepared to take off.

"Wait." Luna yelled putting a hoof on his shoulder. "1.) You’re going to leave without a hug. 2.) Maybe tomorrow, I can give you a tour of the castle?"

"Yeah I can do tomorrow, what time?" He asked curiously.

"How about 1 o'clock." She answered

"Alright, were on." Blitzing smiled back Giving Luna a hug.

"Bye Blitzing!" Luna waved him away.

"See ya, Luna." Blitzing said as he took off. He didn't know what would happen tomorrow and he didn't care. The mare he liked has taken interest in him. That nuzzle was passionate he could tell. Now he couldn't wait. He had the official right to call her his Marefriend.

Luna had walked into the castle going up to the main balcony to raise the moon. Celestia met her half way.

"So what happened between you two?" Celestia asked with a silly grin on her face

"I had the best day of my life with him he showed me all kinds of stuff about Electra ponies. Tomorrow I am going to show him around the castle." Luna explained to her sister.

"I wonder how this will turn out." Celestia said under her breath as the two reached the balcony. Luna then raised the moon and made the moon close again and the stars bright. She couldn't wait for tomorrow.
