The sun begins it's ascent over the horizon. Butterscotch lays in his bed, the griffin snuggling against him, drawing circles on his bare chest.
"Hey...about what you said," Gilda began, staring into his teal eyes, "you where joking...right?"
"Hmm...what do you mean," He asked, opening one eye, to stare at the griffin.
"You know...about this," She moves his hand to her abdomen and he smiled from the gesture. He kisses, her on the beak then nuzzles the side of her neck.
"Of course I do," he whispers, rubbing her belly, "just say the word...and will be up to our waist in dirty diapers."
Gilda stifles her laughter, by punching his shoulder, "quite it... if it where possible I would have seen a bunch of ponies and griffins hooking up by now."
Butterscotch continues to smile, puling her into a tighter embrace and whispers, "that's because they don't know..."
"Know what?" The griffin asked, as he went silent.
Butterscotch smirks and stares into her golden eyes, "that's it's possible...for us to have a baby."
The room goes silent as they stared into each other's eyes. Gilda trying to figure out if he was lying or not.
She sighs and holds onto his hand, "H-how do you know...I wanted a child?"
The stallion increases his hold on the predator, "it's simple...you talk in your sleep."
Her feathers ruffle at the information she just heard, Butterscotch continues, "And you've already reached the mating age."
"Is that all," Gilda asked not looking at the pony, incase he reveled some other deep secret.
"To be honest...no," the stallion said, as the griffin covered her head with a wing, "Gilda... I won't go anywhere... that's for sure."
She peeks from her safe haven of warm feathers, and was greeted by a wall of teal, "R-really?"
"Yes," Butterscotch said, softly to the teary eyed griffin, "all you have to do is say the word... and we'll be a herd."
Silenced adorned the room, the animals have left to give the couple the privacy they need. A set of black eyes watched the two, but turns and enters one of the many tunnels of the home.
"O-okay," Gilda sobbed, crushing his hands with her mighty talons, "I-if you can...then let's do it."
The stallion smiles and holds onto the griffin, "Welcome to my herd... Gilda."
She cries into his shoulder, Butterscotch nuzzling the top of her feathery head.
"Now what," Gilda asked, in between sobs.
"Well..." Butterscotch began, looking at the rising sun, "with Vinyl and Octavia gone for the week... we have the house to ourselves."
The griffin smirks, "So...the living room or the shower."
"Hmm...how about," The stallion mulls it over, and turning to the griffin he smiles, "the kitchen table."
"Only if you make pancakes," Gilda said, nuzzling the side of his neck, "and Scotch... it's your turn to be the plate."
He kisses her forehead, as his pants bulged, "deal...but go easy on the syrup this time."
"Aww...and skip out on the shower," Gilda pouted, giving her best puppy dog eyes.
"Never mind then," The stallion smirks, moving his fingers down to her nether. The griffin returns a smirk of her own, slowly removing his member from its confines.
The Next Day:
"I'll only be gone for a little while...okay," he said, as Gilda pulled him into a hug.
"Just be careful," Gilda nuzzles his neck, relishing in his scent, "I don't want anything to happen to my husband."
The stallion chuckles, kissing her goodbye, "it's just the Everfree... besides you'll be meeting Zecora soon."
"I hope so," the griffin said squeezing his chiseled rump, "I can't wait to meet the other member of your herd... are you sure she won't mind?"
"She's not the type to be jealous... besides," Butterscotch smirks, moving his hand down her crotch, "wait until we get into bed together... then you'll just love her."
Gilda moans from his touch, but pushes him away before she reached her peak, "hurry up then... the sooner she gets here the sooner we can start."
"Will do hun," he gives her one last kiss and turns to leave, not before a white bunny gives him the most assaulting gesture it knew.
Butterscotch chuckles seeing the spectacle, and heads out the door. Towards the Everfree, where the wilds are the law, and he is the exception.
Walking down the path, he avoids the blue flowers. Alluring by nature, but hazardous to any living being.
Predators watch the pony move down the path, his stride calm and shoulders lax. A easy meal for these mighty beast, but his mere presence scared them. Looking at the pony was like walking into deaths door.
Calm and loving, but before you knew it, you where dead. Wolves made of wood receded within the darkened trees, beast ten times his size bowed as he passed.
No one dared to look into his glowing green eyes. All except for the mare at the end of the path.
"Husband," A zebra mare yelled, running up to the stallion. Her large bosoms pressing against his toned chest, "I thought you'd come tomorrow."
She grabs his crotch, her dark grey muzzle, nuzzling the sides of his neck, "Unless you grew bored."
Butterscotch pulls her into a kiss, their tongues wrestling against one another.
They break the embrace, his eyes returning to normal as he stared into her blue orbs, "your half right Zecora."
He squeezes her jiggly rump, his hands sinking into the fleshy mounds, "But we should talk inside."
"Yes," She smiles, licking her lips, "Inside..."
She turns and swishes her tail on his crouch. She moves forward, swaying her rump, as her loincloth parted, giving him a clear view of her privates.
The stallion licks his lips, but quickly reminded himself of the job at hand, "First the potion... then the Zebra... I hope Gilda can wait a little longer."
He follows the mare into her home, his member threatening to break free.
A Few Years Ago:
"So let me get this straight," Butterscotch said, to the yellow and black maned mare. His member engulfed in her magenta muzzle, "You want me...to take a job in Zebrica."
"Mhmm," she hums, her ruby red eyes staring into his teal orbs.
"Who's the job from?" He asked, looking at the request. She pauses from her task and hands him a folder. The stallion looks it over his eyes shrinking at spotting the insignia.
The mare pushes him against the chair, a trail of saliva connecting her muzzle with his member. Climbing onto the chair, she rubs against him, slowly lowering herself.
Butterscotch ignores her moans, decoding the wordy transcript. He uses a hand to help stabilize the mare, while the other held onto the stack of papers.
Her legs positioned on the arms of the chair, she comes down smacking onto his crotch.
She groans and holds onto his shoulder. Squeezing hard she lets loose, soaking his crouch and the velvety chair.
"This seems like trouble," he mumbled to himself, as the mare's gasp drowned out his voice. She removes herself from him, and continues to suck at the now sweetened member.
Butterscotch looks away from the paper to stare at the mare, "I know you taste like honey and all...but isn't that rude for you to just pleasure yourself."
"Sowry," She gurgles with him in her mouth, as the stallion sighs.
Feeling his peak he taps her shoulder, and she nods refusing to let go. With little option in where, he let's loose in her mouth. The mare greedily gobbles his seed.
"Better now," he asked, as the mare takes her seat across the table. She nods licking her lips from the spilled juices.
"I needed that," She gasped plopping down on her office chair, she turns to the stallion, "thanks again Scotch."
"No problem Bee... but this job." He places the paper on the table, and looks into her ruby red eyes, "Who requested it?"
"Hmm," Bee mulls it over, tapping her chin, "some really rich noblepony... they said they knew you."
"I see," Butterscotch said, tapping his fingers together, "did they give you a name?"
Bee shakes her head, "No...they just got ahold of the organization's contacts and used your old id number from the time you spent overseas."
The stallion raises an eyebrow, "did you by chance meet any of them?"
Again she shakes her head, "No...I received the request and details from the overseas branch...are they trouble?"
Butterscotch shakes his head, "No...it's just that...I thought they would retire me from that branch is all."
"They did," Bee said, flipping through the paperwork, "but they're offering such a high price...even though it's only a couple of months out of the country."
The stallion thinks it over and looks at the mare, "When do I leave?"
The mare claps her hands together, smiling at the pony, "In three days...plenty of time for you to get things settled."
"Yeah...settled," Butterscotch whispered, looking over the job at hand. "If it's them...I'll need to bring Angel along just incase... I hope Bulky can watch over the place for a couple months."
"Your kidding," the white bunny said, watching his friend pack his sword and armor, "they tried contacting you through your work... I thought they didn't interfere with your daily life."
"I thought so too," Butterscotch said, hiding his weapons in his pack of clothing, "but with me disappearing... they probably got desperate."
"Damn," Angel stomped the ground, "we left to get away from all that...can't you just tell them the truth?"
Butterscotch turns his gaze to the white bunny, "I wish we could...but they'd never believe me."
"What," Angel raises his hands in the air, "That your nothing but a coward and you only walked away with your life because of luck!"
The stallion nods his head, "Yup... tried to explain that to Vera... she just laughed and said that it was a funny joke."
Angel sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose, "Stupid rumors... how did you let them get out of hand."
"I didn't," the stallion said, looking over his armor, "it was the witnesses that blew it out of proportion."
The bunny shakes his head, "so... what's the job."
"From the code I deciphered," Butterscotch said, looking out the window, "It's a kill order... I'll need your help on this one."
Angel hops on the table, staring at his master, "it's that bad...huh."
The stallion nods his head, the two stood there watching the peaceful life they made.
"I hope your sword arms still good," the bunny said, his eyes glowing a fiery red.
The stallion raises his hand, a teal aura gently surrounds the palm of his hand.
"Scary," The bunny smirks, feeling the power from the pegasus.
Day of Departure:
Butterscotch stands on the bow of the airship, leaving for the southern country. Angel sitting on his shoulder, watching as the crew releases the airship from it's hold.
"There's no one here," Angel said, looking around the empty deck, "looks like it's a Ghost Ship... there doing things by the book again."
"Yup," Butterscotch answers turning to the entrance of the ship, "Want to go see who's on board?"
Angel shrugs his shoulders, "Might as well... it's going to be a long trip anyways."
The stallion nods, his eyes glowing a light teal.
The two enter the innards of the airship, their postures lax. They find the dining room in the mid-size vessel, a hungry bunny ready for a much needed snack.
The stallion looks around, a single cloaked body was sitting near the center of the room. Butterscotch ignores the being, his attention focused at the massive array of food laid out for the buffet.
He leaves his pack on a table, Angel hoping off his shoulder, joining the heavy bag. Butterscotch heads to the table laden with food, a smile on his muzzle as Angel counted down, "Five, four, three..."
Butterscotch walks towards the other occupant in the room, but stops just mere feet from the being.
Time stood still for the stallion as he dodged the first strike. The spear punching holes through the assailant's cloak.
Butterscotch dances, around the lightning strikes. The spears tip a hairs breath from striking the pony.
The figure flips the table, standing in the clearing. The being throws off it's cloak and a large diamond stood before the stallion.
The butter yellow pegasus ignores the wolf like beast and heads towards it. The diamond dog's fur bristled at the nonchalant pony.
The dog growls, his spear pointed at the stallion. He screams and charges, Butterscotch simply spinning out of the way from the thrust. He stops and rushes the dog, he slams a palm into the armored wolf's chest.
The beast was pushed back, to the walls of the room, as Butterscotch continued to smile heading, towards the pile of food.
The diamond dog lay limp on the floor, unmoving from the strike. His armor dented with the stallion's hand imprinted on the breast plate.
"Damn... I forgot to tell him to get some olives," Angel said, taking his gaze away from the downed dog. He watches as Butterscotch piles food onto a plate, while a figure drops from the rafters, and another exploded from the bottom of the food laden table. The two began to attack the butter yellow pony.
The stallion, dances around their strikes. The heifer's mace only slamming onto the wooden floor. The bat winged mare's darts, caught by the pony's free hand.
The two armored assailants grew angry at their failure to harm the stallion and with that, he strikes.
Dropping the darts, he grabs hold of fruit. Throwing them at the two standing fighters. They easily dodge the lamely thrown projectiles, only to run into one another.
Their eyes widen, watching as the stallion, rockets towards them. His hooves covered in a teal aura, propelling him forward with lightning speed.
His elbow was covered in the aura, as he slams it into the cows chest.
The mare looks on in shock watching the heifer crumble to the ground. Butterscotch's hand turns to a fist, and rockets towards the mare's chest.
The teal aura covering his fist and on impact, it explodes, sending the mare crashing into the tables.
Butterscotch catches a falling pineapple, and takes bite into the fruit, walking towards the waiting bunny with tray in hand.
"That was rude," Angel said, grabbing an apple from the pile.
The stallion shrugs, popping a grape into his muzzle. The two sit there filling their bellies as a minotaur steps out from the kitchen.
The grey beast plays with his beard, looking at the downed soldiers, then to the stallion. He grabs a basket of apples and heads to the table where the pony sat.
He pulls up a chair sitting across the duo. Staring at the stallion with orange eyes, "One minute... you've gotten slow Princess." He bites into an apple, slowly chewing the juicy fruit.
The stallion swallows the peach he was eating, "it's good seeing you too... Gregor."
The man beast huffs but smiles at the stallion, "it's good to have you back... but I bet your not so happy about the summons."
"Depends," Butterscotch responded, staring at the smirking Minotaur, "who... or what do I have to kill."
"Straight to business...eh Princess," Gregor chuckles, shoving two apples into his powerful jaws, "Got an A class fiend we need exterminated."
"Any restrictions," The butter yellow pegasus asked, pooping a cherry into his mouth.
The grey beast shakes his head, "None... your free to go all out."
"What's the catch... it's not like you don't have knights capable of taking down a fiend of that caliber."
The minotaur nods playing with his apple juice soaked beard, "we sent troops a few weeks back... but we ended up making it worse."
Butterscotch pauses from his snack, staring at the aged beast, "how is it?"
"Real bad," the minotaur said, looking into his teal eyes, "We had to pull a lot strings just to find you."
"You know... I retired for a reason," Butterscotch sighed, handing a grape to Angel.
"A pony of your status... retiring," Gregor laughs, his booming voice echoing in the damaged room, "boy... someone like you only comes around once in a generation."
The old bull cracks his neck, his orange eyes observing the stallion, "Besides, Vera would kill us if we lost track of you... and here."
He hands him a set of keys, "you know your way around a ship."
Gregor stands, and walks towards the rising bodies. Butterscotch pockets the keys, as Angel hops onto his shoulder. Grabbing his bag he heads to the cabin.
Entering the spacious quarters, he plops his bag on the side. Angel hoping down on the bed, and Butterscotch joining the ball of fuzz.
"So what's the plan," Angel asked, pawing the pillow he was on.
"Go in, kill it and head home," the stallion mumbled, closing his eyes and feeling the swaying of the ship.
"Still don't know why they need you," Angel said, curling into his bed, "I thought they got guys that could take on a demon."
Butterscotch shrugs his shoulders, slowly falling into a slumber from the swaying of the ship.
Angel glares at his master and mumbles, "you better get the next watch."
The bunny stays awake, watching over the sleeping pony.
A few days have passed since the ship's departure from Equestria. Butterscotch stands on the deck of the vessel, his sword unsheathed.
He stands still, the harsh winds from the coming storm doing nothing against the stone like stallion.
A faint glow covers the blade, the old Minotaur watching from the entrance of the ship. The three warriors watching from behind the giant man beast.
Butterscotch takes a stance, his sword poise to strike. A faint aura covers his body, then he moves.
He flashes out of existence, moving only a few feet with the sword pointed to the heavens. Butterscotch sheaths the blade and enters the ship.
He says nothing to the four observers. The old Minotaur looking to the skys, while the three disciples looked on in confusion. Only when the stallion disappeared into the ship, did they speak.
"Rotten bugger," Gregor mumbled, shaking his head at the darkened sky, "he actually mastered it."
The diamond dog steps forward, worry in his voice, "What's wrong Master Gregor."
"Nothing Shiver Fang," Gregor said, as he turns to enter the ship. The three move out of his way.
They look at one another unsure of what just transpired. They follow their mentors gaze, as shocked etched on their faces.
There within the darkened clouds was a hole, showing the unadulterated sky. Stars shown brightly through the gap within the storm. The clouds around it, refusing to close.
The airship moors at a small town, within the Zebrica planes. Docking to resupply, and wait for the group to return.
"Listen up," Gregor addresses the three armored warriors, "we have one week Butterscotch spots a group of zebras, from to get this job done... I don't have to tell you what happens if we fail."
The three disciples nod, determination in their eyes. Gregor turns to the stallion, "You have anything to say for the green horns?"
The stallion turns to the three, "Stay out of my way and you'll survive... do something stupid... you'll die."
With that said, he turns towards the exit, a dark brown cloak covering his form. The Minotaur shakes his head, turning to the three warriors.
"Remember... your only here to back him up... we stay hidden until then," the Minotaur said, putting on an amulet and shimmering out of sight, "I don't want to be the one to haul your carcasses back home."
The three nod, putting on their amulets as they faded from sight.
Dropping into the town, Butterscotch traverses the dusty streets, observing the local zebras. Some mixed potions, while the more warrior like competed in feats of strength.
He watches as two mare's wrestled in the ground, their chest bare for all the crowd to see.
"Hmm...interesting way to wrestle," Butterscotch mumbles, feeling a impact on his chest. He looks down at a glaring bunny.
"Bad enough I'm strapped to your chest," Angel said, punching his abdomen, "The last thing I need...is for you to get a boner right now."
The stallion turns away from the spectacle, and continues to head out of the town, "sorry about that Angel... but they are really gorgeous."
The bunny shakes his head, returning to the confines of the cloak.
"Let's see," Butterscotch mumbles, taking out his map, "from here we should head east...should be two days journey on foot."
"Can't you just fly,?" Angel asked, peeking out of the cloak, "I mean you could get there faster if you did."
The stallion keeps his gaze forward, silently whispering to his passenger, "I would... but it would draw to much attention."
Keeping his gaze forward, he hears the crunching of rock around him. The invisible warriors trailing behind the pony, silently watching his every move.
"Stupid trainees," Angel grumbled, nestling into his harness, "we'd be done sooner if these idiots didn't follow us."
Butterscotch keeps his mind focused at the mission at hand, but silently agree's with the infuriated rodent.
The stallion wonders the dirt road, the only semblance of civilization within the sea of tall grass. The golden stalks, reached his shoulders, a perfect cover for he many creatures of the wild. Some to hide, while others waiting for the coming travelers an easy snack for the mighty predators.
Within the sea of tall grass a manticore waits. It was smaller compared to it's Equestrian cousin, but what it lack in size it made up for in speed.
It stares at the pony, ready to pounce, but froze upon seeing his glowing eyes. The manticore shivered and cowered from the ponies stare. His mind telling him to run, his stomach telling to run as he releases yesterdays meal.
The beast stood frozen as the pony calmly walked past.
All that could be heard in the grassy plane was the crunching of feet, and the laughing of a Minotaur. Three pairs of invisible eyes turned to the beast and then to the pony, unsure of what just transpired.
Night comes, and the stallion continues down the rock strewn path. The glow of his eyes in the moonless night, was erie and unnatural in the wild plains.
The four invisible warriors grew tired from the constant walking. Their bodes covered in sweat, and their breaths labored. Yet the stallion continues, his stride even and his form lax.
"Does he even rest," the bat pony gasped, taking a swig from her canteen.
"We've been walking for hours," The cow said, looking at her companions then to the stallion, "Yet he doesn't even look tired."
The diamond grunts a response, while the Minotaur's voice silenced the three, "Quite you three... and keep moving."
"Yes master Gregor," the three responded in unison, falling into step behind the bull.
Though if they had looked closely, a sliver of red crested the stallions lips. Water formed around the crimson hue, and he takes sips from the gathering mass.
A breeze blown through the plain, his cloak parts and two red eyes shown through the darkness.
The lush plains, turned to a land of ash and rock. The stallion stops spotting the column of smoke in the early morning hours.
"looks like we're here," Butterscotch said aloud, the Minotaur's voice was heard to his side.
"There's movement to your left... looks like a caravan," He whispered to the pony, "We'll rest here for now... your not listening to me are you?"
The stallion says nothing, as he moves towards the group. The Minotaur sighs, motioning for the three to rest.
From his hiding spot within a crop of rocks, Butterscotch spots a group of zebras.
"Somethings not right," he mumbled, watching a mare being dragged behind the group, "Zebra's would never treat anyone like that."
The mare falls on the ground, yet they continued to drag her until she stood back up.
"So... how do you want to do this," Angel asked, the lens of dew dropping to the parched soil, "follow them or ask?'
"The second one," the stallion said, his hooves covered in teal, "hold on tight."
His body blurs from sight, as he catches up to the fleeting group.
The stallion spots the group of zebras, the mare in chains fallen and dragged. Her legs were cut and bleeding, the four guards not even glancing at the mare.
Butterscotch, passes the group and stands in front of them. He stares at the equines, as his eyes grew wide, "oh fuck me... zombies."
There soulless white eyes stare at the stallion. The rotten bags of flesh move, spotting the new meal.
"Angel... fire crest," Butterscotch said, launching towards his attackers. His sword unsheathed as a fiery red crest forms on the tip.
In the blink of an eye, he passes the undead zebras. The tip of his blade stabbing into their eyes as they burst into flames.
Taking one last look at the headless monstrosities, he heads to the mare.
He observes the zebra, her cloths ragged and stained from the hardships of the road. Uncorking his canteen, he holds it over her cracked lips.
Drops of water splashes on her lips, as her eyes slowly open. She stares into the teal eyes of the pony, and Butterscotch in turn was greeted with her blue orbs.
"Hey there," he whispers, helping the mare into a sitting position. He gives her the canteen, and she greedily consumes the bottle. Butterscotch waits for the mare to quench her thirst, "So... what's your name."
She turns her head to the pony a smile on her muzzle, "Z-Zecora... and thank you."
"It's nice to meet you Zecora," the stallion said, removing the shackles from her worn wrist, "Can tell me what happened here."
She grew quiet, as tears fell from her eyes. The stallion wraps his arms around the mare, letting her cry into his cloak.
"There. there," He cooed, patting her back, "Everything's okay now."
"Th-thank you, "she sobbed, hugging the pony.
Butterscotch smiles letting the mare rest in the warm embrace.
"You could have waited till I got off," Angle grumbled, his face shoved between the mares bosom, "I hate you so much right now."
The stallion rested under a dead tree, Angel atop his shoulder looking down at the sleeping mare.
"She gonna be okay?" Angel asked, watching the mare nuzzle his lap.
"I hope so," Butterscotch answered, parting the mare's hair, "What do you think?"
"About the demon," the bunny taps his chin, turning towards the column of rising smoke, "If what she said is right... we're dealing with an ascender."
"What's my chances?" The stallion asked, as the bunny climbed down to the ground.
Angel hops a few feet away from the two, his hands outstretched. A crest of crimson hue forms in front of the bunny, as fire erupted from his paws.
The flames condense within the crest, turning and twisting till a ball of glowing flames was made. The bunny turns to the pony, "Here... you still know how to use?"
Butterscotch nods his head, as the orb floats towards him. He holds the orb in his hands, orange and yellow dancing within the palm of his hand.
He turns his gaze back to the mare, "Can you watch her for me?"
"I will... just make sure you comeback," Angel said, his hands pointed to the mare. A crimson aura surrounds her body, as she floats away from the stallion. Butterscotch spreads his cloak on the ground, the mare slowly laid atop it.
The stallion turns to the column of smoke, extending his wings, he takes flight.
