Lyra's Brony Presentation
The Presentation
Load Full StoryNext ChapterOne morning in Ponyville, Lyra Heartstrings, a mint green colored unicorn filly trotted towards school.
Today was the day the pupils had to have a presentation about something they liked doing. What Lyra liked was something she thought was unique.
She trotted through the beautiful town named Ponyville. She could hear the sound of hoofsteps when she trotted on the gravel road. (Which were usually the only kind of road Ponyville had). Lyra trotted to a small bridge at the edge of Ponyville. She looked down at the water. A few fish were playing hide and seek behind the rocks in the deep water. It seemed fun. Lyra could remember the times she played with Colgate and Berry Punch.
Lyra left the thoughts and continued trotting towards the schoolhouse, but now, she trotted on a dirt road instead of a gravel road. She was nearing the schoolhouse.

When she reached the schoolhouse, the bells rang. Everypony in the playground went inside the schoolhouse, followed later by Lyra. She took her seat and looked around. Next to her sat Colgate. She threw a paper plane with her magic towards Lyra. Lyra took the paper and unwrapped it. It was a note.
MEET ME AT MY HOUSE TOMORROW -Colgate
Lyra knew her friend Colgate wanted to play with her. But sometimes Lyra's parents didn't always let her go to her friends to play with them.
Behind her sat Berry Punch, the filly who always slept through a lot of the times she was in school. Lyra didn't know why, but stopped thinking about it. Berry Punch was her friend, and she didn't want to argue with her.
At the teacher's desk, was a brown colored earth pony stallion. His name was Dark Coffee, but everypony called him Mr.Brown, but it didn't really mind him. "Good morning, class," he said with a smile.
"Good morning, Mr.Brown," the class replied. This usually happened every day on school.
"I guess you know what we will be doing today," he said, making a few of the ponies nervous. Lyra also felt a bit nervous. She didn't exactly know if she were prepared good enough for this. "So let's start, shall we? Let's begin with Lyra," Mr.Brown said. But it took some seconds before she went off her seat.
Lyra did not know how nervous she would get by this. It felt like everypony were looking at her, waiting for something to laugh at to happen. Lyra calmed herself down, and took a few notes from her saddlebag. She trotted towards the teacher's desk and faced her face towards the class. Her nervousness could be seen from miles away. The eyes of the ponies waiting for Lyra to talk, almost seemed like the eyes of somepony who expected everything to happen at anytime.
"My presentation is about the show named My Little Human," Lyra said. She could hear a few of the ponies laugh, but she wasn't sure about what the teacher thought. "Now you may think that My Little Human is a science fiction show for nerdy stallions, but that is not correct," she said. Two of the ones who laughed had a questioning look. "In fact, i think it is one of the best shows ever made," Lyra said. "This new generation of My Little Human is named My Little Human: Technology is Science. It is good animated, the voice actors are great, the music is good and the story is amazing". A few of the ponies were giving her the 'no, you can't be serious' look. "But in fact it is true, fans of all ages and both genders have been watching it and liking it. And you know what?" Lyra questioned the class. "The fans call themselves Bronies, a combination of the bros in MLH and ponies, if you didn't know". Lyra didn't feel nervous about her presentation anymore, she felt like she could do this on almost forever. "But now, you might think these are all facts I have made up, but let me show you a bit of the first episodes," Lyra said. "Mr.Brown, do you think we will have time enough for that?" Lyra asked Mr.Brown.
"Oh yes, of course, Lyra," Mr.Brown answered, letting the mint green unicorn filly continue on with her presentation.
After watching a bit, the class found themselves surprised by the quality of the show, and that it wouldn't just be for nerdy stallions. "This was the show, i guess that's my presentation," Lyra said, ending her presentation. A few of the ponies cheered and clapped for her.

After the school was over, Colgate went to Lyra. "Hey, nice presentation about that show," Colgate said.
"Thanks," Lyra replied. Lyra looked around her. A few of the ponies from class smiled to her. Now that she thought about it, she did a better job that she thought she would.
"I got a question, though," Colgate said. "Are you a brony?" Colgate question Lyra. Lyra thought about that question. Taking a few secounds before answering.
"Yes, why do you wonder," Lyra questioned Colgate.
"I were just wondering. It would be a possibility you wouldn't be a brony, but still would have that presentation," Colgate answered.
"Yeah, i know," Lyra said. Silence began to fill the air. The conversation didn't seem to go in any direction, so Colgate were to one to speak now.
"So, are you going to come to me tomorrow," Colgate questioned Lyra with a smile, expecting the answer to be yes.
"Well, i gotta ask my parents first," Lyra answered. Because Lyra knew she would have to ask her parents first. She couldn't be too sure if her parents would allow it. She did have some homework left to do.
"Ok, see ya then!" Colgate shouted while she trotted towards her house.

Lyra trotted on the dirt road towards her home, but she felt like she forgot something. Like something she needed before going home. Suddenly it became obvious what she forgot. 'oh, i forgot. My saddlebag,' Lyra thought as she went to the schoolhouse, only to see Mr.Brown holding her saddlebag.
"I guess you forgot something," he said, holding Lyra's saddlebag and giving it to her.
"Thanks Mr.Brown," Lyra said. She was about to go home when she got interrupted by Mr.Brown.
"Y'know, your presentation was kinda interesting," Mr.Brown said.
"Thanks," Lyra answered. "I really did spend a lot of time planning it, i guess i'll go home now," Lyra said. It seemed like the conversation ended quickly.
"Ok, goodbye Lyra," Mr.Brown said, allowing her to leave.
"Goodbye teacher," Lyra said, now going on the dirt road to Ponyville.
Lyra trotted towards the small bridge that led to Ponyville. It was evening, the sky turned orange. The air felt chilly as the moon began to rise from the horizon. Lyra felt a bit tired, so she continued trotting home. The mint green unicorn trotted on the gravel road that were now cold. She felt really tired after what happened on that day. She went to bed and closed her eyes, allowing herself to sleep.
