says “Hang on.” “I can heal you.” The mare says “No…no you can’t.” She opens her hoofs revealing a filly. Thunderstorm says “You’re a mother.” The mare nods. Tears going down her cheeks and she says “Take good care of her King Thunderstorm….please.” She kisses the filly on top of its head. Thunderstorm says “No.” “Let me heal you please.” The mare lays her head down and says “You’re already too late.” “Take…good…..care……..of…………..her.” The mare’s eyes slowly go lifeless. The filly

looks at her and says “Mommy?” Thunderstorm closes his eyes tight. Tears pouring out and he says “No.” The filly says “Mommy look at me.” “Mommy?” Thunderstorm looks at the filly and says “Mommy is sleeping sweetie.” “Let her rest.” “I’m going to keep you safe while mommy rests ok?” The filly says “Ok.” Thunderstorm says “Get on my back sweetie.” The filly hops onto his back. Thunderstorm walks away. The filly says “Bye mommy.” Thunderstorm stops and looks back at her then continues walking.

Where the others are. Thunderstorm walks up and says “T….Twilight.” Twilight walks up to him and says “What is it Thunder?” Thunderstorm says “Could you take this filly please.” Twilight says “Sure Thunder.” Thunderstorm levitates the filly onto Twilight’s back. The filly says “B…But I thought you were…” Thunderstorm says “Let’s go everypony.” 3 miles later. Twilight walks up beside Thunderstorm and says “Thunder.” Thunderstorm says “What?” Twilight says “She wants to be with you.” “I don’t

know what happened or why she’s here because all she’ll say to me is I want Thunderstorm.” Thunderstorm stops walking and says “I found Scootaloo dead.” “My own daughter.” “I don’t need another and I sure as hay aint her daddy.” The filly is shaking on Twilight’s back. Twilight looks at her then at Thunderstorm and says “Please Thunder.” Thunderstorm looks at the filly and says “Fine.” “Get on kid.” The filly jumps onto his back and hugs his neck shaking. Thunderstorm sighs and says “Let’s go.”

5 miles later. The filly says “Where’s mommy?” Thunderstorm says “Mommy isn’t coming sweetie.” The filly says “Why?” “Did I do something?” Thunderstorm stops walking and says “No sweetie….you did nothing.” “Mommy loves you very much and she’s waiting for you somewhere very nice and wonderful.” “You’ll see her again one day.” “I promise.” The filly says “Ok.” Tears go down her cheeks. Thunderstorm stops walking and says “Ok.” “We’ve been walking and dealing with a lot of crap for awhile

now.” “We should stop and get some rest.” David says “I wouldn’t sleep with Necromorphs around. Thunderstorm says “We’ll be fine.” “They’re not in this area.” David says “Right now they aint.” Thunderstorm says “We’ll be fine.” David says “Ook.” Thunderstorm lies up against a tree. Rainbow Dash lies down against the tree beside him. She closes her eyes and goes to sleep. Thunderstorm closes his eyes. The filly snuggles into him. Thunderstorm opens his eyes and looks at her in shock. She closes

her eyes and smiles. Thunderstorm smiles and says “Night angel.” He closes his eyes and goes to sleep. End of Chapter 5
