Planning chapter. This story is going to take a strange look at what would happen if 'Villain of the Week' was taken literally, and a plan enacted to make time 'stop', by ceasing the process of turning day to night, and night to day. Taking place at some point in time in the Reaperverse, possibly during a previous Iteration.

Villain

Name: Sonorhc (play on words here, his name spelled backwards is Chronos, the Personification of Time, implying his eternity.)

Personality: Typical bad guy; wants to control everything in the world and has a plan to do it. In reality, he's a soul in the employ of the God of Time, Discord, enacting a form of 'experiment' for Father Law on Equestria, to see how they handle being under the rule of a

possibly 'eternal darkness', not unlike the Nightmare Moon experiment.

Method: Takes up the typical MLP baddie personality of big, booming speeches and constantly putting his foes down. Struck a deal with Princess Celestia over a transgression she had before, and orders her to cease raising the sun, leaving Equestria in permanent midday. She reluctantly agrees, preferring that over having to deal with 'that' again. She surrenders her crown and necklace, and remains on the throne as a weakened alicorn. Luna is left to control the moon, as Sonorhc plans to use solar eclipses in order to control the climate in Equestria.

Wants: Sonorhc wants nothing more than to truly rule a location, having been moved from place to place and assuming multiple different forms and bodies as an agent of Time. He's firmly rooting himself in Equestria, and plans to steal away their night so they can see what it's like to never know rest, imposing near-global insomnia, which will eventually result in madness.

Plot: Story starts with Twilight enjoying a book. How original :V. She's slowly reading through it when, suddenly, Spike bursts onto the scene, flailing a scroll from Princess Celestia. Twilight takes the letter and reads it, informing her of a villain approaching Ponyville. None too surprisingly, she takes this with an exasperated sigh and roll of the eyes, noting that ponies 'never leave each other alone'. She heads out and gathers up the Elements, along with her friends to go and face this 'oh so dangerous threat'.

Skip to the rather bombastic and flamboyant entrance of our villain, overconfident as usual as the Elements of Harmony all stand there, just kind of staring at him. Rainbow makes a wisecrack on what would happen if the Elements just 'let them have the country for a day'. Some bickering starts up between the villain and the Elements before Twilight silences them all and apologizes to Sonorhc, saying "We've all had a pretty rough year or so. You aren't the first villain to come up, so sorry if we're being a little short with you."

"Oh, no, no, it's alright. I understand you ladies are constantly nipping evil in the bud. Of course, I won't be like the others, but I understand your stress."

"Thank you. I'm afraid, though, in order to preserve peace in Equestria, we will have to beat you. That alright?"

"You're very welcome to try."

Start a short fight scene ending with Sonorhc being beaten. The Elements find it really weird how he was beaten so easily by the rainbow cannon of friendshipping doom. Pinkie chalks it up to good luck on their part, and everyone goes back to what they were doing.

Twilight busies herself with writing a letter to Celestia and going back to her studies, getting ready for a week full of studying for the coming Canterlot Science Convention, in which she's going to be submitting findings in her research on nutrient groups being developed as medicine alongside Dr. Stable and Nurse Redheart.

Of course, as the chapter ends with a glinting grin in the dark, we know that day isn't going to come. Begin time loop.

The story carries on with Twilight starting the day the same way every day, but slowly getting more haunting senses of deja vu as she keeps reliving the same day, the same fight with Sonorhc, and can't really seem to break out of her prison. Eventually, as the time loop consolidates and becomes more stable, she'll gain more freedom and immediately go to the Princess, finding her lacking her regalia.

There, she'll be informed of the plan against Equestria, and suddenly, the fight becomes a lot more difficult, as Sonorhc can't be beaten conventionally; he's the 'villain of the week, the week that will never end', and through that, he's established himself as a here-to-fore permanent part of Equestria, something that will not be defeated until someone sets Time right. The Gods can't interfere with this experiment, so Luna stands idly by, letting things proceed. Twilight possibly learns of the Gods' existence before Sonorhc's true defeat, with the time stream being set on its path again.

She learns that Discord sent him, and goes to confront the draconequus, being told, in short.

"His fifteen minutes of fame were up long, long ago. I just let him relive the dream every once in a while."
