Daylight.... That was the first thing he noticed as he started to wake up. Alex slowly opened his eyes, expecting to see the white, plaster ceiling that was part of his house. What he was not expecting to see however, was a white bunny looking down at him with a rather stern face. Yelping in surprise the boy quickly sat up, then looked around in confusion once he noticed his surroundings. He thought to himself, 'W-What?! This isn't my room!' He ran over to the window, opening it up and expecting to see the familiar view of his neighborhood, but that was unfotunately not the case. What he did see however, was a beautiful countryside, with what appeared to be a medieval-themed village. He then heard the door opening up behind him, and a rather quiet, female voice speaking to him, "I heard a yell, is everything alright?"

He turned around, expecting to see a human being there, but his eyes widened in shock when he found himself staring directly at a butter-yellow equine with a pink mane, who in turn looked back at him before gasping and trotting over to him, cupping his cheeks with it's hooves as it examined his face and eyes, which quickly widened when the equine spoke in the exact voice he had heard earlier, "Oh thank goodness, you don't appear to injured anymore, you were pretty scratched up when I found you..." She looked into his eyes, "Are you alright?"

Well, she appeared to be pretty harmless, and it looked like she was trying to help him out, so Alex nodded his head slightly, moving his lips to try and talk, before throwing a hand up over his mouth when he heard nothing come out. Moving his hand away from his mouth a little, he tried once more to speak, his eyes widening as he realized that he could not talk at all, so perhaps he wasn't as fine as he had originally thought. He looked up at the mare in distress, her face quickly turning from curiosity to worry, "Oh dear, it doesn't look like you can talk, perhaps I should take you to see Twilight? She might be able to help restore your voice, oh... But she might be really busy, after I got you onto the bed you just woke up on, I took the 2 objects that I found with you over to her library," Right after she said that, the mare buried her face in her hooves like she was scared, "I'm really sorry, I should've waited until you woke up, I'm really sorry!"

Alex looked at the mare with a bit of sadness, sadness at the fact that it was SHE who was now afraid of HIM, and not the other way around. Wanting to cheer her up, he slowly and gently wrapped his arms around her, hugging the yellow mare, who, after a bit of confusion, returned his hug with a small smile, "Thanks for not being mad..." Alex smiled and nodded slightly, it was actually very hard to get him mad, and the very few times that he did get mad, it usually wasn't for very long.

After a few minutes of silence, the yellow pegasus finally spoke up, "So... Maybe we should head over to Twilight's, if that's okay with you, of course..." Alex smiled and nodded his head, getting up off the floor and following the pegasus as she left her cottage, wondering what her friend's reaction would be to seeing him awake and walking... Actually, he wondered how this world's entire population would react to seeing him... Would smile and wave? Or would they scream and run away, or even chase him out, and although all these possibilities ran through his mind, he still couldn't get that voice out of his mind... What exactly did it mean when it said that the 'Worlds were connected', and what did it have to do with him? The only thing he could hope for was that he could soon get some answers, but as far as he could tell, his first couple of days here, wherever here was, were going to be absolutely confusing to the human, especially if it was filled with even more of these talking equines.
