The Satanic Sunet (Alternate Ending for Equestria Girls)

Twilight Sparkle had just won the Fall Formal, and gotten her crown back, when she heard Spike screaming for help.  She chased after Snips and Snails, but didn't count on Sunset Shimmer being at the portal with a sledgehammer.  "That's close enough!"  said Sunset Shimmer.

When Twilight stopped, she saw that Spike was being held hostage.  Terrified, he yelled "Twilight!"  When Twilight Sparkle heard Spike's desperate cry for help, she was scared beyond belief that the little dragon-turned-dog that she cared for since her childhood would be taken away from her.

"Don't hurt him!" said Twilight Sparkle

With a malicious grin on her face, Sunset Shimmer said "Oh, I wouldn't dream of it!  I'm not a monster, Twilight."  Turning her attention to Snips and Snails, Sunset Shimmer then said "Let him go."

Snips and Snails complied, and let Spike run back to Twilight.  She embraced Spike in a hug.  After this brief moment of affection, Sunset Shimmer said "You don't belong here. Give me the crown, and you can go back to Equestria tonight. Or keep it and NEVER go home."  Sunset Shimmer then raised her sledgehammer to smash the portal if Twilight were to decline the offer.

"Tick-tock, Twilight. We haven't got all night. The portal will be closing on its own in less than an hour. So, what's your answer?"  said Sunset Shimmer.

With a stern look on her face, Twilight Sparkle gave her answer.  "NO."

Needless to say, Sunset Shimmer did not expect Twilight to say no to her.  "What!? Equestria! Your friends! Lost to you forever! Don't you see what I'm about to do to the portal?!"

Twilight replied with "Yes, but I've also seen what you've been able to do here without magic. Equestria will find a way to survive without my Element of Harmony. This place might not, if I allow it to fall into your hands. So go ahead. Destroy the portal. You are not getting this crown!"

With a sigh of disappointment, Sunset Shimmer said "Fine.  You win."  She then proceeded to toss her sledgehammer back towards Snips and Snails, one of which almost had the hammer land on his foot.

Twilight's human friends then began to surround her, and shower her with complements, which disgusted Sunset Shimmer.  "Oh, yes, she's so very special!"  Then Sunset Shimmer proceeded to pounce on Twilight Sparkle to steal the crown from her.  However, Spike took the crown.  "Grab him, you fools!" said Sunset.

Spike then was cornered at the school's entrance.  However, Rainbow Dash had opened herself so she could catch the crown if Spike threw it to her.  "Spike!  Throw it here!"  said Rainbow Dash.  Spike complied and Rainbow caught the crown as it fell to the ground.  She then proceeded to toss it to Fluttershy, and Sunset, Snips and Snails started running towards Fluttershy.  Applejack used her rope to pull Fluttershy away from Sunset and her lackeys, The crown traded places among the girls and boys, until Twilight absentmindedly tossed the crown to Sunset Shimmer.

"I'LL TAKE THAT!" said Sunset Shimmer.  "At last...  MORE POWER THAN I COULD EVER IMAGINE!"

When Sunset Shimmer put the crown on her head, dark particles started to form on the crown, and a beam of light emerged from the ground.  The entire school took notice.  Inside the beam, Sunset Shimmer began to change dramatically.  Her skin turned crimson, and her clothing changed from her leather jacket and skirt, to a firey dress.  Her body was covered in what appeared to be black fire, and with that fire came the final changes.  Her head turned crimson like the rest of her skin, her hair stood up like fire, and the whites of her eyes turned jet black.  Lastly, demonic wings sprouted from Sunset Shimmer's back.

With her transformation complete, Sunset Shimmer let out an evil laugh.  She then proceeded to turn Snips and Snails into demons like herself.  "This is gonna be so cool!" said Snips.

All of the students were screaming, and they all retreated into the school.  "I've had to jump through so many hoops tonight just to get my hands on this crown, and it really should have been mine all along." said Sunset Shimmer with a growl to her voice.  "But let's let bygones be bygones. I am your princess now, and you will be loyal... to me!"  Sunset Shimmer proceeded to use her new powers to literally tear the school entrance out of the building.  The students attempted to retreat, but before they could, Sunset Shimmer used a spell that controlled all of the students, making them into zombies.

"Round them up and bring them to the portal." ordered Sunset Shimmer.  Snips and Snails proceeded to round up the zombie students.

"Spoiler alert: I was bluffing when I said I was going to destroy the portal. I don't want to rule this pathetic little high school; I want Equestria! And with my own little teenage army behind me, I am going to get it!"

Twilight looked towards the students, and noticed Flash Sentry among the zombified students.  She shed some tears.  "No, you're not." said Twilight in defiance to Sunset Shimmer.

With a smug grin on her face, Sunset Shimmer said "Oh, please! What exactly do you think you're going to do to stop me? I have magic, and you have NOTHING!"

"She has us!" said Rainbow Dash.  The human versions of Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy walked up to Twilight.

"Gee, the gang really is all back together again." said Sunset Shimmer, shedding a false tear.  She then proceeded to charge a giant fireball.  "Now step aside! Twilight has tried to interfere with my plans one too many times already! She needs to DIE!"  Sunset then launched the fireball towards Twilight and her friends, who all huddled up together.

As the smoke cleared from the crater where the fireball landed, Sunset could not make out any shapes of any living thing in the crater. She laughed so coldly that it brought a chill to the blood. "Snips!  Snails!  Bring me my ex-boyfriend Flash Sentry!"

The mindless husk of Flash Sentry was brought before Sunset Shimmer.  With a touch of her magic to his forehead, Flash Sentry became a demon just like Sunset Shimmer. The demonized Flash Sentry had a fanged grin on his face.

"Nothing like this power is there Flash?" said Sunset Shimmer.

"Like you wouldn't believe!" said Flash.

Sunset Shimmer then began converting ALL of the staff and students of Canterlot High School into demons like herself. Even the human Celestia and Luna were turned into demons. With her army, now known as the Satanic Sunset, Sunset Shimmer triumphantly led her army through the portal with Flash Sentry.
