The first day of school, was always the worst for me. No matter what school i went to, it always sucked. Each new face, a new begining, but sometimes, i end up getting beat up. Why? Well, for one, im not your typical student. Im an alicorn. I know what your thinking, pretty great, right? Well, not in my case. Heres the story of my school life.

I woke up that morning, pretty much the same way as anyother mare my age; by my mom. "Aurora! Time for school, wake up!" She pounded on my door, trying desperatly to wake me, but i just shut her out. Placeing the pillows over my head. "Come on, young mare. Wake up." She would leave eventually, it always was a waiting game with us. I stayed in bed until last minute, she would get frustrated and let me win. Didnt matter to me, i did pretty well in school anyway.

"Fine, stay in there for all i care, but your gonna miss your sister!" That woke me up. My sister only was home for a few weekss before going back to collage, and today, i go back to school. "C-coming mom!" I raced to get my stuff together, trying to grab all i needed, stuffing my bag and heading out the door with a brush in my magic. Quickly brushing my mane, i sat at the kitchen table and started eating. "Whoa, slow down there little sis." I nearly choked on my juice. I turned to the door and smiled wide. "Amythyst!" I hopped off my chair and hugged her.

She chuckled and huged me back. Funny, she and i are almost the same height, yet ponies think im the older one. She kissed my cheek and smiles warmly at me, that smile i get when shes happy. "Wow, sis... your first day of high school." I blush a little and nod. "Y-yeah... i think im ready for it this time..." she smilez reasuringly. "Youll be fine; and if anyone gives you trouble, just tell 'em your big sis is the captian of the hoofball team."

I nod and hug her again. "Alright you two, lets get going." Mom nudges us to the door, our saddle bags put on our backs. "And remember, no one messes with a windcloud." She smiles at us and closes the door. She giggles a bit and turns to me. "Hey, youll be fine. I promise. Dont let those other kids get to you." With that, she hugs me once again before taking off.

School. I always hated it. It sucked no matter where i went. Most of the time, it would start out great, then go down south for me. Each school had the same problems; bullies, class and girls. Bullies i had no real problem with, but sometimes they got annoying. Most bullying stick around for a while, others leave me be after they see im not worth it.

Class is another issue. I hate staying still for thirty to forty minutes. Its so, demeaning to me and isnt quite... nessacery to me. I can learn pretty well and pass, but its sitting that gets me. And the teachers, they look like their bored and want out as much as the students do. But, oh well. Lastly;girls.

Not so much the gosipers, or the snobs. No, im talking about the pretty girls that distract me sometimes. Some are drop dead gorgeous, others... too hot to handle. I cant seem to get enough courage to ask one out or even talk to them. Its hard, ya know? Guys are so good at talking to girls, but i get no luck with any of them.

Trotting up to the steps of the high school, i brace myself for yet another, long year at school.
