                                                                                           Chapter 1: No Turning Back

My name is Christian. I was walking alongside the beach. While I was walking I was thinking about life and the world. My family is still holding with what we can, my brother and sister working, my parents both working and me. I couldn't stand working but I had to pay for rent since it’s just me in my place. My whole apt was a mess, never got to pick up after myself. Snapping out of thought I sat down on the bench with my earphones on, I looked at my iPhone 5S, unlocking it so I can go to my music I only had a few albums. “Let’s see…” deciding which to play, “P.O.D. Greatest Hits: The Atlantic Years” I said to myself. I liked all their songs, if I would had to choose the top three it would be (Going blind, Youth of the nation, and Alive) the best songs I have heard. So I sat there looking at the ocean, of course it was too dark to see so instead I look at the sky seeing all the stars. “Oh look a shooting star, well better make a wish” even though I thought it was pointless, I said without thinking “I wish I was in another world that didn't have problem like I had, or at least a peaceful place.”

"Oh well" as I finished my break I continued walking home with my ear-buds on. As I pass a few streets, I stopped be cause of a don't cross sign and waited till I crossed. Half way across the street, apparently a drunk driver hit right into me. "OH SHIT" crap so this is what it feels like to get hit by a car, it hurt by A LOT. As people are there that witnessed what happened they called the paramedic, as I was surrounded by a crowd of pedestrians I heard sirens. The paramedics were here, but it was to late the paramedics announced my time of death. After being a ghost and seeing yourself die I would think it would hurt, but it didn't.

It was dark I had no clue where I was but for some reason I was sleeping on a bench which was weird maybe it was a dream a terrible nightmare. why is every thing brightly colored "wait what!?"

15 minutes earlier…

“Twilight! Twilight!!!” came in yelling to get the lavender mare’s attention. “What is it spike? What’s wrong spike?” the lavender responded to spike with a worried tone. “There are ponies gathered near a bench with a strange looking creature, and it’s still sleeping everypony could tell with the loud snoring it’s been doing”. “Spike take a note regarding our situation and tell her I am going to investigate the creature, and when I am done I will tell her if this creature is dangerous. Oh and Spike where is this creature?” twilight said. “It’s near the town square on a bench” spike said.

The lavender mare ran through the town trying to get through a crowd she saw that her friends were already there. Everypony that she saw were gasping in terror or in a questionable look. As she approached her friends she was looking at me not knowing what to do, so she was going to wake me up before she could do that her mare friend stopped her in her tracks. “Careful twilight, wouldn’t want ya to get hurt by that thing” the bright orange mare told her lavender friend.

“Don’t worry I will be fine as long as you girls got my back I be fine” all her friends were worried though as they watch her approach me she poked me on my back. While I awoke I gave out a yawn, everypony gasped. “Uh hello” the lavender unicorn said to me. “Keep walking this bench is occupied at the moment”. I said without turning to see who it was. I heard gasps surrounding me. I decided to turn and sit up straight everything was blurry; I forgot that I had not put on my glasses. I was going to get them from my backpack while I did that a purple blur confronted me, asking me “what are you?”

“What do you mean what am I? Such a strange question to ask.” I grabbed my glasses and as soon as I put them on. “WAIT, WHAT?!” I yelled not knowing what the hell it was. Then again I knew what it was which, is a horse. “Whoa I must still be dreaming; talking horses that's new” unaware this was real. “No you aren’t dreaming” the white horse with a purple mane.

“Ohmygoshwhatareyouwhatsyournamewhatsyourfavoritecolorwh-“ she was cut off by a blue horse with rainbow mane. “Whoa there pinkie, we don’t know if that thing is dangerous.” I froze like a statue just sitting there. “Nope I still think this is a dream no way this is reality.” doubting myself, I smacked myself with my hand to see if I woke up. “Why did you do that?” the yellow mare with a bright pink mane said whispering. “Because just to see if this was a dream, but didn’t work so I am just going to stand and pass out.” everypony looked at the bipedal creature falling to the floor. “Damn, that hurt, turns out I can’t pass out.” I said aloud. “Watch your tone there, you… you creature!” said the purple maned unicorn.

“This creature has a name, and I am not a creature; you’re the animals from where I come from. Horses don’t talk and for that matter unicorns and pegasi are supposed to be myth and legend!” I have officially lost it. “Why you no good little jer-“ the rainbow Pegasus was interrupted. “RAINBOW! I am sorry about her she has a bit of an EGO. My name is Twilight Sparkle, what’s your name?” twilight asked. “My name is Christian, and your friend should learn to control her EGO.”

“Hey! You better watch your back creature.” rainbow snarled at me.

“Well Christian, welcome to ponyville these are my friends Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie pie, Rainbow dash and fluttershy.” sparkle said.

“well very nice to meet you all, but if you will excuse me I am going to sit here, in the mean time I will listen to my music that’s on my phone, so… if you could all make like a tree and leave that would be great.” I tried not to be rude but it got the better of me.

“We can’t just leave you here.” twilight said

“Well why not Sprinkle” I chuckled.

“It’s Sparkle not Sprinkle, and call me twilight”

“Okay twili.” another chuckle

“Only my brother calls me that, I am starting to think you are annoying.”

“Well good, never needed any friends before, why start now? So if there is anything else, you can leave, BYE!!!” I said without a care in the world.

I looked around see all these Ponies started to get angry at me. This will not end well…

“How dare you speak to the princess like that!” Another pony said. “Oh is that why you well that crown on your head, looks lame, really a star?” I said. Everypony is not very happy with me. “Look here Christian, you’re starting to anger everypony here, I would recommend you be nice to me and everypony” she sounded very demanding. I stood up once again everypony saw that I was really tall. I gave them all a look, most of them were scared. I stared straight looking at twilights eyes then I said “On one condition, I need a place to stay and…. well that’s pretty much it.”

“Well then, you can stay at my house until the princesses arrive” damn I think I might as well live outside better her place then a cold bench. “Fine but don’t you think that I am gonna do anything for you while I am there.” way to go a bad first impression. Time to change the subject. “Hey why don’t I play some music on the way over to your place, let see here, okay band linkin park song a light that never comes.” playing the song as I what through the crowd. I thought to myself “awkward”.

Light that never comes:

A few minutes later. While walking through the crowd I notice a pony with a blue and white mane and purple glasses that liked it “See now there somepony that likes my music.” as other songs began to play others ponies felt like my music was weird but they understood it but when they heard such foul words which they did not like. “Hey it’s just how they do it at my world; they sometimes use those words to express emotion or something else.”

“Here are a couple of good songs that you would like Going Blind.” 4 minutes and 28 seconds later everypony liked it. Damn I’m glad they liked it. “Christian how do play music with that if there is no instruments?” twilight said out of curiosity, while examining my phone. “Well that’s simple but wait… that means my species are more advanced than this place. Huh well what do you know. Okay let me think.” wonder what they did have here? “Okay have you invented the record player, you know like a big disk that plays music, Twilight?” I asked.

“Yes we do, and I think you would want to talk to vinyl about the music you have on your device, but before you can do that we need to talk to the princesses to confirm you’re not dangerous” damn twilight so strict and uptight. “Well we are here just make yourself comfortable, while we wait me and my friend will keep an eye on you.” well this is just great just what I needed ponies to watch me in what seems to be a tree house but out the inside is a library... freaky. “Don’t you think about causing any O’ us trouble feller.” I better keep an eye on Applejack too just in case.

“There here, glad to see you Princess Celestia and Princess Luna” twilight said. Both had entered I looked at how tall the white mare was and next to her was I think a midnight blue mare entered a bit shorter than I thought. “Hello my faithful student, I see you have this human here” how did she know my race?

“I am guessing your Celestia, since you’re very tall, and Luna I presume?

“You are correct” Celestia said

“Why are thou here alien?” said Luna as she stood in front of me.

“Have you heard of personal space, and my name is Christian.”

“Tell us why you’re here in our land of Equestria?” Tia said

“You really want to know? Well I will tell what happened to me yester- err during the morning.”

5-10 minutes later “And that’s how I got here, must be weird to wish on a star” I contemplated.

“Very interesting, I only have one question. How is your reaction towards us when you realized you weren’t sleeping?”

“well I did not know what to do so all I did was start making everyone angry, a very bad first impression but now that was over I seem to be fine. I am still trying to figure out how to go home. It’s hard on me though I have no family here so I am… never mind it was nice meeting you two but I better go and take a nap, feeling really tired right now.”

I walked up the stairs and through the door I saw a purple lizard. I yelled as I closed the door behind me. All the ponies could hear me so they all trotted up the stairs

“what’s wrong Christian?!” sparkle said with a worried expression.

“There is a purple lizard in that room and I hope that isn’t yours.” panting.

“Oh that’s spike he’s just a baby dragon he won’t hurt you” twilight assured me with confidence.

“Sure, next thing when I take my nap I wake up and see him eating me, not gonna happen.” I said sarcastically.

“Have some backbone Christian” said rainbow dash.

“Fine” damn creatures and their cuteness.

As they walked through the door I followed behind. “Spike I brought Christian here and he would like to meet you.” twili said.

“Hey there uh… Spike” scary little creature.

“You brought that thing in here? Awesome.” while spike said up on the third floor.

“Okay, now where should I sleep for today? Hey why is pinkie doing tha—“Smash”

“Woops my bad that was an accident”

“Spike you just knocked him out with my pot plant.” twilight said when she was checking on me

“I said it was an accident”

“Alright my student and the rest of you shall accompany him to the castle where he will be treated and answer most of our questions we still have for Christian”

I awoke in a hallway not knowing where I was; I see my parents walking away from me. I started to chase them. They started to get farther away when I tried to get closer.

“Mom, Dad, don’t leave me!!!”

“Aghhhhhh!!!” I woke in a room. It was really big in here saw some drawers.

“Christian it’s okay, it was just a bad dream” Luna trotted near me.

“How long have I’ve been out?” I asked Luna when she sat near me. She hesitated.

“You’ve been out for a few days” she said in a low whisper, but still heard her.

“A FEW DAYS?!?!”

“When you were unconscious, we thought it was temporary, so we brought you to the castle, and set you in one of the guests rooms, a day has passed and you haven’t woken up, so we had one of our medical ponies examine you, to see what damage had been done to you. The doctor said that they would move you to the hospital, but when we tried to move you, you had a panic attack.”

“Okay so I had a cardiac arrest which put me in a comatose state well that just terrific” I frowned.

“The doctor said if we tried to move you again the same outcome would happen again” does she have a tear in her eye?

“Why are you crying Luna? I am perfectly fine don’t you see?”

“I saw your dream Christian, what happened to you.”

“How did you see my dream? No that’s none of your concern about what happened in my life, if you will excuse me I gonna take a walk outside” I said in anger.

I walked out and went to ask those guard ponies the way outside. They pointed the direction I need to go, “thanks for your help” I told them. I opened the doors only to get knocked down by a pink blur. “OHMYGOSHITHOUGHTYOUWOULDNEVERWAKEUPBUTNOWYOUR AWAKE” she was brought back by a purple aura. Okay better take a note watch out for pinkie. I see a group of mares walk towards me. “Welcome back partner” applejack said.

“Good to be back” I told them.

“Christian you are to come with us to go in and talk to princess Celestia, for we all have questions to ask you.” twilight instructed me. I could tell she was very excited.

“Fine but after this we go and eat I am starving.” stomach started to grumble.

Few minutes later we entered the thrown of princess Celestia.

“Welcome Christian, I bring you here to ask questions of your home world. We would like to know all about it.” Really Celestia I have had enough with history.

“Okay but before I can continue most of the Earth’s history might be gruesome. Shall I continue?”

“Not without us.” interrupting the conversation.

“Hey BBBFF, and cadence good to see you’re here just in time too.” more ponies to meet thanks twilight.

“Who are they Celestia?” I raised my eyebrow.

“This is prince Shining Armor, and princess Cadence. They rule the crystal empire together.” Okay how many other princesses I don’t know about in this world.

“Alright let’s get started” I said.

“All these things I am about to tell you is based on theories from scientist. It started with before the universe began outer space everything was comprised of gases, these gases known as Elements in a periodic table, there was friction caused atoms which are very small, you cannot see from the naked eye. Then “BANG!!!” scared most of the ponies in their seats, I laughed. “The Big Bang happened creating life as we know it, we don’t have a precise estimate, so let focus on my solar system the sun was the first to be formed, there are currently nine planets rotating around the sun.”

“Really? It doesn’t revolve around your planet?” while twilight wrote on a notepad.

“NO why? Does yours rotate around this planet?” I raised my brow.

“Yes princess Celestia controls the sun, while Luna controls the moon” my jaw dropped.

“Ok back to my story.”

“Earth is the third planet from the sun. Earth was beginning to form, all it was made from meteors that was caught by the sun’s gravitational pull holding it started to rotate around it. As it was forming it was nothing but lava and fire. Few millions of years later another planet was on a collision course with earth both slammed into each other.”

“How do they come up with such theories?” twilight asked me.

“Maybe if you let me continue you will know later.” Now I am getting tired of all these questions.

“Both planets formed together there was a huge separation, which began to revolve around earth which is Earth’s moon. All planets have their own gravitational pull. What happened next I thought was impossible, a comet came down and hit Earth the Comet had H2O which means water, somehow the water managed to linger on Earth even though it was like millions of degrees. Few million years later Water covered the whole world, not just one comet but multiple comets.”

“The Earth had water but it was not habitable yet, think of the world as a pot filled with water, next you put it on top of the fire the water is at a boiling point where nothing can live, still too hot. Now lets’ skip ahead to 4.6 billion years later life took hold the first life forms were fish which later evolved to reptiles or insects, then reptile evolved to dinosaurs, kind of like dragons but there weren’t any dragons on Earth. These dinosaurs were dominant most of them were carnivores and some were omnivores and herbivores. The scariest predators were the T-Rex and the Velociraptor. The T-Rex was huge and they ate anything with meat. Velociraptors are small but extremely dangerous they also eat meat, run in packs to ensure they get their prey.”

“This part sucks, a large asteroid was in a collision course with earth it wiped out the entire planet and extinction came to the dinosaurs.”

“Why did you stop there it was getting good” rainbow dash said with anxiety.

“I believe fluttershy might have a hard time with my story.” fluttershy was not feeling to well. “Which leads to this, princess Celestia pardon me but this story of mine has made me quite a bit hungry.”

“Yes Christian, we shall go to the dining room and you may eat what you desire” well ok Celestia. As everypony sat down at the table, conversation began to rise. I wasn’t really focused on any other pony. I was focusing on Luna she had not spoken since I saw her this morning.

“Christian what would you like to eat?” Tia asked.

“Do you have anything that doesn’t include hay, grass and flowers?”

“We do have vegetables and sweets” hmm…

“Vegetables, too healthy. Sweets rots the brain.”

“Then what do you want Christian?”

“I will take pancakes, with a side of eggs and bacon if you please.”

“Bacon? What is this bacon you speak of?” Uh oh…

“It’s meat you know, it comes from a pig?”

I heard gasps, even Luna gasped at what I just asked for. This will not turn out to good for me.

“What you don’t have meat? Well I figured since you all seem to be vegetarians” the entire room was quite.

“Why would you eat poor animals?” fluttershy asked while hiding behind her pink mane. I could barely make out what she said.

“Humans need specific proteins the animals carry; usually we sometimes eat their muscles.”

“But eating animals is bad, what did the animals ever do to you?”

“We have a breeding system, we raise the animals then we let them produce baby animals and so forth we eat them, so basically it’s just the way of life. Besides what happens when all the animals here over populate your world, have you ever thought about that?” all the ponies were caught off guard when I asked them that. 1 point for me.

“You don’t eat ponies do you?” all the ponies stared right at me. As if they might throw me in jail.

“Yes, I do eat ponies” I bursted out laughing. All the ponies were terrified. “No I am just kidding the day I eat ponies is the day I become a vegetarian” all the ponies sighed with relief. "But see i have K-9 teeth" showed them my four sharp teeth.

“Let’s not talk and ruin our appetite” Cadence announced.

“I already lost my appetite” said fluttershy.

“Okay I will take whatever I can eat; hopefully I don’t get sick from this”

Few minutes had passed. Everypony except fluttershy had eaten. As we sat there in the dining room, I continued with story I was telling all these ponies.

“After the extinction of the dinosaurs, little creature came from the ground known as mammals; which later lead to life again and so forth. I only know little of my history except for major events" couldn't think of any so i skipped until the 1900s "this is the day that the world was at war. In the text books they refer to this as World War One, I don’t remember much but I can tell you who we fought against. Germany was the enemy; they tried to conquer lands that affected my country. My Country, England and Russia were allies they fought bravely during this war.”

Well since I did not know much I decided to skip some parts in my story. “After we won, our country began towards depression, at least that’s the order it went? Couple of years passed. Germany had a new leader named Hitler he thought that the reason that they lost was because of the Jews, then we went in another war. World War Two, it was gruesome, Hitler built concentration camp where Jews would work then be killed in gas chambers almost wiping them out.”

‘THUMP’ fluttershy has fainted for a short while.

“I’m sorry but why did this man want to get rid of Jews” fluttershy asked.

“Hitler believed in one dominant society only with blue eyes and blonde hair were superior, but lets skip to where we one, when we were about to capture Hitler he committed suicide. Hmm… ah okay, japan was still in war with the U.S.”

“A scientist created something that was very dangerous, he gave a quote ‘I am Death, destroyer of worlds’ which was true, we launched a nuke on japans soil. It had hit Nagasaki this nuclear bomb destroyed one city and further; killing the innocent, japan never surrendered still trying to fight against the U.S. we were forced to launch another taking out another city. Japan had finally surrendered.”

“But that was 40 to 50 years ago. Let’s get to the U.S. We faced advancements; Humanity had finally reached to the final frontier in the late 19 hundreds, which is space. Were a bit slow on technology but we have a few more decades before we can travel further out. Did I mention meat is the number one food source?”

“You seem to lack knowledge on your world” did you just figure that out now twilight?! I said in my mind.

“I prefer the term lazy; don’t expect me to improve your technology. The only thing I would be able to help with is probably music” yawning. “I am really tired anyway… I think I am just gonna sit here and sleep.” ‘Snoring’

“How can he sleep so fast?” Twi lifted her brow.

“It is getting late, why don’t you girls head towards your rooms so you can rest, to prepare for the grand galloping gala. Luna you can assist me by taking Christian back to the guest room.” Luna sighed and helped Celestia.

Few minutes have passed, princesses set me down in a bed, Luna told Celestia to attend the meeting without her, Tia nodded and left. Luna sat next to me she was probably gonna see my dreams somehow but I stopped her.

“Did you really think I was sleeping?” I stared at her.

“No I was making sure you didn’t—“ she was blushing

“Luna what did you see in my dream from this morning? I don’t remember much of it?”

“Well, if you insist I shall tell you. Only because you don’t remember.”

“Okay tell me” I hesitated.

She told me everything she saw, “And that’s it. That’s all I got from your dream”

“Really I don’t remember having that dream, all I remember was err… never mind, but what you had told me I had already forgotten about it until now.”

“My apologies for bringing it up then” What are you hiding Christian?

“I feel like you went through my mind instead of my dreams. Did you know it was invasion to my personal life, you have no right entering my mind” I was very frustrated at her.

“Yes it was very personal, and Celestia and I shall decide whether or not you’re a danger to us” and you still don’t trust me. The mare walked out. "Good night”
