It had been Two weeks since Cadance, and the rest of the Crystal Empire, had the pleasure of becoming ruled by Sunset Shimmer. “Cadance, guys, what are you doing here so unexpectedly?” Came a voice from above, Twilight Sparkle landed in front of the group with the aid of her wings. “I didn’t get a message that you were showing up? Did I miss it? Maybe Spike misplaced it…”

Cadance smiled rather awkward, this was the last pony they wanted to see at the moment. “Oh, no letter was sent Twilight, I didn’t want to bother you and your friends. I’ve been asked to help out with the Summer Sun Celebration this year, to make it really memorable for everyone including the Princess.” This was not entirely false, Sunset wanted her plan to be completed before the celebration.

I know it’s only two months away but I’ve already begun to plan things out, we can compare notes. I’ll go get Spike to prepare some beds, this is going to be the best Summer Sun Celebration ever!”

“Uhh... actually, we already have a place to stay.” Said Cadance quickly, “we were just heading there right now. How about I get in touch with you in a few days, the boys and I are planning to relax and get settled for the long stay.” Cadance really hoped that Twilight would just leave them alone, she didn’t know just how much longer she could lie and make it believable.

“Oh… okay.” Twilight had a rather disappointed look on her face, “I guess I can come by and visit later then, I’ll make sure to bring all the plans and then we can compare what you’ve gathered in a few days.” Twilight guessed that Cadance wanted some privacy while on her trip to Ponyville, that way she can relax some more. “By the way, where is Shining Armor? It’ll be kind of a downer if my B.B.B.F.F. didn’t show up for the celebration.”

“He will arrive at a later time,” Cadance said with a rather annoyed but calm voice, “he’s currently hosting an important guest up in the palace.”

Twilight seemed oblivious to Cadance’s tone, which was lucky for her. “Wow, must be some important guest if Shining had to stay behind. “ The bell tower began to toll, sounding that it was now two in the afternoon. Twilight got a rather panicked look. “Oh my gosh, I gotta go, I’m supposed to meet Fluttershy at her house and go over some animal show plans I have in mind.” Flapping her wings, Twilight took off into the sky, waving at the group. “See you guys later, let me know if you guys ever need any help.”

All three of them waved back at her. “Bye for now, tell Fluttershy that I’ll be seeing her soon.” As soon as Twilight stopped waving, they continued walking around the town. After a quick visit to the Mayor’s office, the group had obtained a house in the outskirts of town. Mayor Mare had questioned about the choice but Cadance insisted that privacy was needed to focus on making the celebration extra fun.

The old house, if you could call it that, was surrounded by growing weeds, cobwebs and broken windows. Cadance used her magic to fix the place up but still keep it plain, she didn’t want to draw any unwanted attention to the place. Late in the night, the trio moved into the house’s cellar where Cadance and Ultima began casting a summoning spell. Luckily she had cast a silence spell bordering the house, otherwise the loud crackling would of definitely notified somepony about what was going on.

Sunset Shimmer materialized into the room, she was wearing her usual red corset, black jacket and black gloves with matching boots. Both Ultima and Cadance had been worn down from casting the spell and were both panting in the ground. While it may be easier to teleport yourself, it took far more energy to summon a pony. Flash Sentry was already on his knees as the smoke cleared but it seemed that the other two were far more exhausted.

Sunset walked in front of the two and looked down at the pathetic lot, she unhinged a riding crop from her side with her magic and began smacking both of them. “You almost ruined everything! What were you thinking, informing Twilight about a guest in the castle. Nopony must know I am here, not until it’s too late.”

Cadance nodded at the remark, unsure if she should be pleased or worried about the outcome. “Yes, mistress.
