Weather Ponies

The Introduction - Part 1

As I fly through the sky I can feel the wind in my mane, the cold air tickling my skin, I breathe in the fresh air, and sometimes it gives me shivers, but in the nice way.

I can hear all my friends laughing and talking below me so I decide to join them, but before I can touch down and walk over to them something black, similar to a tornado comes their way, all I hear is the screams of pain and shouts for help.

*gasp*

“Oh dear Celestia it was just a dream” rainbow mumbled to herself.

She didn't know what she’d do without all her friends, her life would be shattered.

She wondered to herself what it would be like without all her friends, without Pinkie Pie there would be no more great parties, with no Applejack there would be no more challenges to see who was more daring, If Rarity wasn't here then she wouldn't have anyone to make beautiful dresses for her, and she wouldn't be able to brag about how nice they were to her, If Twilight was gone then well she would have no one to call Egg-head, without her pegasi sister there would be no more love and kindness in her heart, Fluttershy was truly special to Rainbow Dash because they grew up together and even during the hardest of times Fluttershy was always there for her and Rainbow Dash felt like she owed so much to her because of it.

I think I’ll go visit my friends tomorrow see how they’re doing, I don’t think I've been out of the house for days since that weather. Hopefully they aren't worried about me, otherwise I’m going to get a lot of angry faces when I get there…

“RAINBOW, you haven’t visited for days” growled the annoyed lilac unicorn.

“Darling, have you had a break up?”

“I was starting think ya was being wimpy, just staying your in cloud home like that”

“RAINBOW’S BACK LET’S HAVE A PARTY!”

“PINKIE!” yelled all of them.

Pinkie pie just crouched down with a sorry look on her face, before jumping up and down on the spot again with the biggest smile I've ever seen, boy do I love my friends they are just so concerned about me all the time, I sort of feel bad for staying in my cloud home, but at the same time I knew they were going to be worried about me, 1 point to rainbow, 0 to my friends.

I suddenly feel someone knocking on my head saying.

“Knock knock, anyone there?” questioned the pink party pony, I’m day dreaming again I've got to stop doing that.

“Yes I’m here pinkie, and I was away for so long because I was tired beca-” A groan comes from all five of her friends

“because I was recently clearing a lot of clouds, and the other weather ponies were being lazy, meaning I had to do their job so don’t moan at me when I don’t get my naps”

“You couldn't have told us? We thought something bad happened to you, we were really worried about you” says Fluttershy getting quieter with every word.

“I- I didn't think I needed to tell you” Rainbow excused while putting one of her ‘oops’ looks on.

“Oh, it’s okay sugarcube we understand”

They talked about Canterlot and how princess Celestia and princess Luna are coming to ponyville in a month to visit Twilight and the other elements of harmony, they giggled with Pinkie Pie as she stuffed cake in her mouth and got crumbs and cake icing everywhere and the rest ate a moderate amount sugary stuff for hours.

“It’s getting late I should be going, Applebloom will be annoyed if I don’t read the story i promised to read to her” Chuckled Applejack.

“I must be going to, I need my beauty sleep otherwise i will be moody in the morning” whined Rarity. The others giggled under their breath at that comment.

“I need to tend to my animals and pinkie you said you needed some help with gummy why don’t we go get him and bring him round my cottage?” Fluttershy asked with concern for the animal’s sake.

“Okie dokie lokie” Pinkie said with as much enthusiasm as possible.

All four friends waved goodbye to the Pegasus and the unicorn sitting in the library.

“Shouldn’t you be going now rainbow?” Twilight asked with concern.

“I-I wanted to ask you something, do you think I’ll ever get into the Wonderbolts?”

“Of course Rainbow you are the best flier in all of equestrian, and I know that for a fact!”

“Thanks Twilight, I really appreciate it, I’ll be going now”

The lilac unicorn smiled gently as Rainbow exited and then used her magic to lift a book from a shelf and just started to read through the night.

Rainbow walked along the main street of ponyville looking around at the beautiful structures and flowers, for a few minutes before she took off to go to her cloud home, she felt that breeze that she loved so much running through her rainbow colored mane, the tickling feeling on her skin, the lovely fresh air being sucked into her lungs, it felt amazing, until she stopped in mid-air as she stared at the figure of a Wonderbolt who looked like they were sleeping on a cloud, she poked the mysterious pony until the sleeping Wonderbolt awoke, when the mystery pony looked up she couldn't believe her eyes.

She couldn't believe who it was, she couldn't believe what he looked like, his eyes were a beautiful green but they were ruined by the tiredness in his eyes and the lines under them, Rainbow had no words, she just stared at him in shock and glee.

As she inhaled the cold wind, she finally found some words to say.

“Soarin…?”
