Weather Ponies

The Breeze - Part 2

“Are you just going to stare at me or are you going to ask what happened?” Soarin sighed as rainbow just kept staring at the broken Wonderbolt.

“W-what in Equestria happened to you?” Soarin rolled his eyes at the cyan mare’s shocked face.

“Well I was flying over to Ponyville because princess Celestia said there was a tornado over Everfree forest, and none of the weather team members or the captain of the weather team were responding to her call so-“

“Heh Heh I wonder which pony that could be.” Rainbow put her guilty face on.

“As I was saying, I was called to go and clear the tornado. I was flying for a while before I actually saw it. When I did see it I started to prepare myself to take down the tornado, I flew into the tornado as soon as I touched it I went flying backwards, after that I awoke to you poking me viciously” Soarin grinned at the cyan mare blushing at the last part.

“You’re not going to be able to get back to the headquarters are you?” rainbow asked with concern.

“Nope, I can fly but the journey is too long and my wings would probably just stop in mid-air, I could just sleep on this cloud till I’m fine.”

“I wouldn't stay there if I were you because it’s supposed to rain later on tonight.” Both pegasi heard a loud thunder bolt before they got soaked in 10 seconds flat.

“I thought you said later on?”

“I don’t fly around with a watch on or even walk around with one on, anyway they said the rain would start around 10’o’clock.”

“It’s 10 now and how I know because I was trained to have a clock in my head, but not literally, even though they threatened to force one into my head once.” Soarin and rainbow both giggled.

“We’re both getting soaked, how about you come over to my cloud home and you can sleep on the floor” rainbow grinned thinking of how a Wonderbolt could be at her house.

“On the floor? You’re joking right”

“Of course, why would I let you sleep on the floor when I have a spare bedroom” rainbow laughed at Soarin’s annoyed face.

“We should get going before either of us catch a cold” Both pegasi started to fly towards rainbow’s cloud home in the rain.

Oh mi gosh a Wonderbolt is going to be staying in my house, rainbow squealed silently to herself so Soarin wouldn't notice.

When they approached the cloud home, Soarin’s mouth dropped.

“When you said cloud home I though you meant it was going to be small, but this place is huge, it’s a mansion.”

“Just quickly get inside so we don’t get any colder than we already are.”

As the pegasi walked inside away from the rain, they both shook it off. Rainbow and Soarin both giggled at each other at how ridiculous the other looked.

“It’s eleven now I have duties tomorrow really early, so I need to be getting to bed. The spare bedroom is up the stairs and the second door on the right, get anything out of the kitchen if you’re hungry.”

“Okay, thanks for letting me stay round.”

“No problem, wouldn't exactly be amazing to have a Wonderbolt falling from the sky.”

“Ha Ha, very funny.” I thought Rainbow was a fan of the Wonderbolts I thought she would fan girl over seeing me, apparently not though, maybe not every pony is the same. Might as well go to sleep, if there’s no other pony to talk to or no pie to eat then it’s sleeping for me.

“Where’s Rainbow? She should be here by now” Scootaloo sighed. The wind feels stronger than usual I wonder what’s happening, I’ll ask rainbow that’s if she ever gets here. I think I see her and another pegasi with her. When they both landed, Scootaloo saw who the other Pegasus was and her mouth dropped to the ground.

“Rainbow you’re late”

“It’s not my fault that they called me in for stupid chores today it was supposed to be tomorrow, sorry squirt.”

“Rainbow why is there a Wonderbolt behind you?”

“Long story, we have some flying to do, or are you wimping out and wanting a story telling cutie mark?”

“Flying, flying, flyi-” Rainbow put her hoof over Scootaloo’s mouth.

“Shush, now show me how was the last trick I taught you to practice.”

“Okay I got this on lock down.” Scootaloo backed up and started to run and flap her wings. I can do this, I know I can, I can’t fail this, I’m going to do it. I can’t feel the ground.

“Am I flying?” Scootaloo asked.

“Open your eyes and see for yourself silly” Scootaloo opened her eyes.

“I’M FLYING!” Scootaloo just kept flying not wanting to stop, never ever wanting to stop.

“I thought pegasi her age could already fly”

“She never went to flight school, so she never learnt until I decided to teach her how to fly.”

“HELP, I’M FALLING!”

“NO! Scoots I’m coming”
