Prologue
“We work in the Dark, to serve the Light.
Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.”
Code of the Creed
It began 13 years before the Clone Wars. A young boy was found abandoned in the streets of Coruscant. Most citizens would think nothing of this child, some pitied him, and others offered help. Every time they did, however, the kid would always reject the help by saying, “I don’t need your help. I’m fine on my own.” No one knew why the boy refused their help. The real reason why was because he was a Child of the Force.
This pattern kept on for 9 months. Then one day, the boy was approached by a member of the Jedi Order. The boy was perplexed, but the Jedi explained that he had a role to play in the future. One where he will decide the fate of the Galaxy. So he took the child to the Jedi Temple for special training. Training that no other student had learned before.
As the years went by, the boy now turned into a man grew stronger. Under this new program he gained knowledge that most Jedi Knights were blind to, learned skills like no other, and went under a new title that no other Jedi could gain. The exclusive title was know as Master Assassin.
The reason behind the man’s ascension was because the Jedi Council received disturbing visions of the future. They consisted of the final days of the Clone Wars, a revelation of the true Lord of the Sith, the downfall of the Republic, and the beginning of the First Galactic Empire. And all of this was accomplished by a gifted student of the Force turning to the Dark Side, going by the name of Darth Vader.
So the Council devised a plan. If the Chosen One would fail a Jedi trained by the Masters themselves would reconstruct the Order, destroy the Empire, and restore peace across the Galaxy. That man was destined for greatness. But his fate, and the fate of the future, would be in his own hands.
That man...is me. My name is Kaleb Striker, and this is my story.

Everything Changes (Part 1)
By Jadan Stutes
It was a beautiful night over the sleeping form of Ponyville. Someponies were dreaming peaceful dreams, courtesy of the Night Princess herself, and other Ponies were enjoying the nightlife with old friends. However, one lavender unicorn was wide awake, gazing at the stars above.
Twilight was taking notes on the various constellations that appeared during the seasons, occasionally writing about the planets she managed to find. Ever since Luna returned, the nights were far more beautiful than ever before. On this night in particular, all of the nearest planets got to show their true colors.
During some of her note taking, Twilight would occasionally pause to think if there was some form of life out in the stars. If so, what were they like? Would they be friendly? Could they advance the growth of society throughout the whole world?
Eventually, she grew tired of stargazing, and decided to tune in for the night. As sleep eased over her relaxed form one thought crossed her mind. “I sure wish we could know if there is life beyond our world. Just think of all the life-changing knowledge we could learn from them. But, for now, that idea is just a far-fetched foal’s dream. Sure hope it isn’t though. *Yawn Goodnight everypony...”
Little did she know that in the coming days, Twilight Sparkle would get her wish.
This was it. One last contract and I was home free. All I had left to do was to take down this last target, and I could retire. These past few years had been hell on all of us. The galaxy divided by war, friends turning on friends, and large scale deaths for innocent lives. But after this mission, I would be free of it all.
Nodding to myself, I flipped on my hood and began to examine my surroundings. My target was a smuggler working directly for the Separatists, sneaking in illegal weapons on the Black Market. He was a Rodian named Kahler Jek that needed to be taken down. He made his dealings in an abandoned warehouse on the edge of the access tunnel to the Underworld. A fitting place for rotten filth like him. The warehouse in question was a few blocks away from where I was. Nothing that parkour couldn’t solve. With that I began to run through the rooftops of this sector.
...Wait, we haven’t been properly introduced. My name is Kaleb Striker, and I have been a Jedi for most of my life. I was brought to the temple at the age of six, and for 13 years I have been fighting for peace and justice throughout the Galaxy. Three years ago the Clone Wars began, and as you can guess desperate times called for desperate measures. I had been sent out on recon missions the likes of which you have never seen. But I’m just glad it’s almost over...Then again, things aren’t always that simple are they?
“Kaleb, do you copy,” my com-link went off.
“I hear ya,” I replied.
“Jek and I are almost in position and R3 is still nervous about the situation. I gotta agree with him, I have a bad feeling about this.”
“That’s just the droid talking. Besides, Grievous is dead. We just got the word three hours ago. The war is coming to an end, which gives us the perfect time to work.”
In case you're wondering who I’m talking to, that was my team. The first member of my team is a Clone Jedi by the name of Jek-14, once an experiment gone wrong, now my apprentice. He is a Clone Trooper but with a unique twist. For one, his eyes glowed blue, and his entire left arm is transparent blue right down to his bones. My droid, R3-D8, has been my friend for nearly my entire time in the Jedi Order. He is a white Astromech droid with green accents. Our final member of the team used to be the Padawan learner under the legendary Anakin Skywalker; you know her as Ahsoka Tano.
A month ago she was accused of murder, with all the evidence pointing to her committing the crime. If it weren't for Anakin, she would have gone to prison for a crime she didn’t commit. In the end she left the Jedi Temple, taking only her lightsaber, and going into hiding in the Underworld. One of my contracts lead me to Ahsoka by accident, eventually marking her as the newest member of the ‘Brotherhood of the Jedi,’ my family.
Anyways, by the time she cut the communication, I had the perfect vantage point for the interior of the warehouse. But as I began to formulate a plan of attack, I sensed a strange feeling in the Force. Something powerful was waking up beyond the Outer Rim. I had never felt something like this before; I made sure to investigate after the mission was complete.
Elsewhere...
It was a normal afternoon in the Castle Gardens, well normal as it could be. A field trip was planned on this day, and the energetic students had just gotten through observing the strangest carving in the Garden. It was draconic in stature, but had various mixed matched limbs that belonged to other creatures. But the most noticeable feature about this statue was a crack that was steadily spreading over the surface.
If any creature were to pass by this monument, they would have heard an evil laughter emanating from within.
“Hm-hm-hm haha ha! Soon, my fun will begin! But first I wait, for there are still some players that have yet to join the party. Everything is going according to plan.”
This was not good. That damn slime ball was supported by a squad of Commando Droids. “This will get tricky, but I have to take out each Droid before I assassinate Kahler,” I thought to myself. With that I silently took down each Droid. After the last one fell, I ran as fast as I could towards the smuggler, activated my left hidden saber, and stabbed him in the back.
“What no I-I can’t die yet,” he pleaded, just barely grasping his last seconds of life.
“You're reign of terror ends now Separatist scum,” I replied.
“...Oh. That’s what this is all about isn't it? I was doing this for a noble cause.”
“Bullshit!”
“Don’t believe me do you? Well you're so called Republic is dead right where it stands. We’re just helping it on its way. Its being lead by a leader that holds a dark secret, and when he’s ready, you're precious Galaxy will never be the same.”
“...”
“Face it, you may win the War, but...you have lost the whole of society. And with that, I move on to a far better place than this hell-hole. See...you...in...Hell...Jedi.”
After he gave his last breath I closed his eyes and whispered, “May you be at peace with the Force.” With that taken care of, I made my way back to our ship; a perfect replica of the Twilight that Skywalker piloted in the Clone Wars. After I got in we made our way back to the Jedi Temple. On our way there I went over what the Rodian said, “If the Republic has gone to shit, why hasn't anything happened yet? Or are the conspirators waiting for the right moment to strike?”
Later I would come to realize that my hunch was correct in the worst way imaginable.
