One week later
Vinyl and I stood at the top of Sephiroth's temple. We had never figured out just how to get rid of it, so Celestia had dubbed it as a monument to our triumph. I leaned down wordlessly, allowing Vinyl to climb onto my back. She clutched my shoulders with her forelegs.
I jumped from the temple's edge, using my Jets of Helios to fly across the Canterlot skyline towards the horizon with Vinyl yelling in excitement like a kid in a candy store. The Princesses and Twilight had figured out how to send us back home, but me and Taylor stayed behind. She had made quite the legacy as a swordswoman, and of course I had Vinyl, so we were more than content here. From the Equestrian sky, I could still see the bloodstains and craters on the ground, a reminder that even though Sephiroth was dead, he had still scarred Equestria, creating a horrible and traumatic chapter in its history. However, I would try my best to erase it. That was an ambitious effort, but I wasn't going to give up just because it was difficult.
Because if people quit when things got hard, nothing exceptional would ever happen, you know?
