Year 2305, 2330 hours, Emerald Falls, St. Jude General Hospital, Planet Mars

Black. Everything Vega could see was black. He could barely remember a thing after the Ion Storm. One moment he was running, the next, he was struck by a bolt of Ion plasma. He sat there silently in the darkness, alone, cold, for goddess know how long as he slowly begun to go mad. Suddenly, there was a dull light that pierced the darkness, and a light beeping sound could be heard. The smell of antiseptic hung strongly in the air, as his eyes slowly opened to a white tiled room with several machines around him. Slowly he raised his head to find a sleeping Alexia in a chair beside his bed.

With effort, he slowly raised his right hand and touched her left shoulder. She awoke with a start, bolting upright. Her face was one of surprise as she looked upon the now awake Vega. Tears quickly spilled from her eyes as she quickly wrapped her arms around him. "Vega... The doctors said you'd never wake... But we never gave up hope..." She cried as he hugged his aunt. They remained like this for what seemed like hours, but had only really been twenty five or so minutes. By this time, Terresa had walked in to bring Alexia home, only to freeze in the doorway to see her nephew awake and well.

After a while, the two with the help of a doctor, explained what had happened after he was struck. Turns out, he was suppose to be dead, but by some miracle, he wasn't vaporized. What had really puzzled the doctors was how his brain activity was through the roof. Higher than most Psyons.

"So, wait... you're telling me, I've been out for four years, and have possibly unlocked psyonic potential?!" he practically shouted as he tried to absorb as much information they were throwing at him. It was almost too much for him to handle. Four years... Four fucking years, gone. I swear life really hates me... He thought as the doctors did tests, to see if he was okay to leave.

After another painfully slow hour, Vega was finally discharged from the hospital. Four years in a bed with no movement, had done a number on his muscles, making him very weak to move. Terresa pushed him out in a wheel chair to the Air-car out front.

The drive back to the house was rather quick, and easier with no Ion storms in the area. Thank Selene for large favors. The three sat in silence for the whole trip. Well until Vega's stomach broke the silence with a loud growl. The three of them busted up laughing at the timing.

"Let's get some breakfast..." Vega mumbled as they, turned off course towards one of the many diners in the area.

It's strange how one can feel so tired, even after waking up after a four year coma. Vega awoke with a start as he felt his face wet with blood, and close to the ceiling. A second later, he slammed back onto his bed wondering what the fuck had just happened. He blinked to only see blue, as blood seeped into his vision. Panicking, he stumbled from his bed, still weak from the four years of sleep, and crashed through the door and into the hallway.

Down stairs in the living room Terresa and Alexia heard the crash and bolted to the stairs to see their nephew, bloodied and stumbling. Terresa looked to her wife panicked, only to see Alexia not bothered in the least. "Art thou blind?! Help him!" She shouted before going to the stairs. She stopped when she felt Alexia grab her arm firmly with a smirk.

"Just like Arcturus... He'll be fine." She said casually getting a shocked look from Terresa.

"Fine?! Look at him! He's bleeding and stumbling towards the... Oh shit!" She shouted, as Vega took a long fall down the stairs. Loud thumps were heard with each step hit, making Terresa pale.

Oh, Goddess why?! Was all Vega thought as he hit each step. He left a sapphire smear all the way down. His eyes were closed tightly as he rolled down, as pain jolted through his body. The only thought going through his head was Stop... Stop! Just as he was about to hit the landing, he felt himself immediately come to a complete stop. Opening his eyes slowly, he felt himself drop to the floor, hard. He let out a loud grunt, as he met the hard wood floor with a loud Thump. His world went black again as he laid there bleeding on the teak wood floors.

Terresa stood there in shock at what had just happened. All Alexia did was stand there with a smug grin on her face. "Just like his father..."

Vega once again awoke with a start, only to find himself on the couch this time. His body hurt all over as if he had went seven rounds with an earth Grizzly bear. Slowly, he sat up, and looked about the room to see if his aunts were still home. Instead, he heard a banging noise from the upstairs bedroom. Carefully, Vega slid off the couch and stood up. His legs felt like jello, due to muscle deterioration, and he stumbled every time he took a step.

As he neared the stairs, he could hear more than just the banging sound. His face immediately flushed, as the rapid creaking of bed springs, and low moans could be heard. Then the moans turned to high pitched shrieking. Quickly he turned around and made his way back to the living room trying to erase what he had heard and visualized. "Oh sweet Selene why?!"

Outside Time and Space, Between Realms, Purgatory

Darkness swirled, as Belecruu, a Daemon of the Nether Realm, sat on the ethereal rocks that covered the dark realm of Purgatory. Here, it was barren. Devoid of life. only Rocks, corpses of both Gods and Daemons, and occasional fires were strewn about. Nothing grew here in Purgatory. No stars shown in the infinite black sky, as the souls of those who strayed away from either the light of the Aether, or the fiery depths of the Nether, wandered aimlessly; forever trapped.

Belecruu watched as the souls walked about the barren rocky landscape, in search for whatever it is they wish to find, only for it to slip away. She's late... He thought as he sat there waiting for the Goddess that summoned him to this ancient battle ground of lost souls. There was a flash of silvery light, that illuminated the darkness for a moment as Belecruu sat there inhaling deeply through his slit nostrils. With a sigh, and a twisted smile of razor like teeth he spoke. "Selene... I'd know you're scent anywhere." He said with a sigh as he turned to face the goddess. "What brings you here to these barren wastes?" He asked wearing that twisted smile.

"You know full well why Daemon." She replied in a harsh tone, making his smile only grow bigger, knowing he was already getting under her skin.

"Ah yes, the Hybrida child. What about him?" He asked, his tone serious as his smile dropped to a neutral look.

"You know what your masters wish upon the Material world." She replied getting a nod from him.

"I do, but what does this child have to do with all of that?" The daemon asked curiously, as he flicked his serpent like tongue out for a moment.

"I had chosen him to carry out the deed..." She replied getting a raised eyebrow from Belecruu.

"I'm going to take a guess at this, but you want me to guide the child as he grows, to become the ultimate weapon to keep the balance? Now why would I be needed for- Oh... I see..." He replied with his twisted smile returning, revealing rows of razor sharp teeth. "You're asking me to make him a Daemonhost. I'm surprised with you Selene."

"Save it Belecruu." She snapped eliciting a cackle from the daemon. "You are correct though... I'm asking you cause unlike your demented brothers and sisters, you know full well what'll happen if the balance is disrupted, and oppose it." The goddess continued.

"You've done your homework Selene. Fine, I'll do it." He replied before continuing. "But I want something in return..."

1800 hours, Alba House, Outside Patio, Emerald Falls, Planet Mars

Vega sat outside in the cool evening air, watching the sun set, as he tried to repress what he had practically witnessed his aunts doing. Goddess why did they have to do that when I was home?! They could have waited till I was at school or something! he thought as he slammed the palm of his hand repeatedly to his forehead. "Vega! Supper!" Terresa called from inside.

Vega's head snap in her direction as he screamed. "I'M NOT HUNGRY!" before looking back at the sunset. His stomach seemed to disagree, as it grumbled loudly. "Who's side are you on?!" He hissed at his stomach, which only growled for a reply. "Fine..."

Getting up from his seat on the patio, he slowly made his way back inside to the dining room where he spotted his aunts waiting for him. "We thought thou wasn't hungry..." Terresa said with a smile as he staggered over to his seat.

"Well, would you, if you nearly walked in on your aunts?" He replied shaking his head. Both women paled at the revelation that he knew.

"Thou heard us?" Alexia asked blushing deeply as Terresa hid her face behind her hands.

"Loud and clear... You two weren't exactly quiet." He replied a he began filling his plate. "I could hear you all the way in the living room." He added as he started stuffing his face.

Now it was Alexia's turn to turn the tables. "Well, now I know how loud I can make Terresa here squeal." She commented with a perverted smile, giving a wink to Terresa, and getting vega to choke on his food.

"I can't help it love. The things thou can do with your fingers it's-" Terresa joined in before getting cut off by a suffocating Vega. And not in the 'Oh My God, Oh My God' kind of way, but in a 'There's a large chunk of roast stuck in my wind pipe, and i'm dying' kind of way. Realizing her error, and not wanting to be forever known as 'The aunt that killed her nephew' jumped up from the table and helped him cough up the offending piece of meat, which flew across the table and by some luck, smacked Alexia right between the eyes.

"Let's change topic..." Vega said hoarsely, getting a nod from both aunts. Instead of actually speaking, the three just ate in silence, avoiding one an others gaze.

The rest of the evening went on as normal. Alexia, who was a teacher, was teaching Vega how to read and write in both English and Latin. Since it was still the summer months, she was out of he job till autumn, so what better than to spend one's time teaching their nephew. If there was one thing about Vega, he's intelligent, and learns quickly. Now Hybrida by nature are highly intelligent to human standards. Vega, was a different story. By human standards, he'd be considered a prodigy, or genius. He had only been learning to read for three hours, and already, he was at a third grade level.

Alexia was not only shocked by this, but was also highly impressed. That Ion strike must have done more than unlock his psyonic potential... she thought as she had Vega do practice sheets. Now he still struggled when it came to math, a weak point she had found, and slowly but surely, he was beginning to get the hang of it. She could already tell, that he'd be unable to do algebra or any other advanced mathematics beyond multiplication and division.

For the next few hours, Vega studied and learned as much as his mind could absorb. By 2100 hours, the two decided to call it quits for the night and continue in the morning. Vega's Eyes lids grew heavy, as he went upstairs to his room. His body was still weak from being out four years, but he didn't care. All he really wanted was for the day to be over, and slip into the sweet imbrace of dreams.

Sleep had come easily for young Vega, as he sailed about a raging green ocean. He felt strong, and free, as he captained his vessel the 'Renevatio'. He could feel the spray of sea water on his face, as he steered his vessel. The waters were becoming turbulent as a storm rolled in, the sky darkening as the clouds moved in.

Lightning arced across the sky, as monstrous waves battered the ship. Strong winds howled, as it whipped rain at his face as if it were a weapon, stinging against his skin. Then suddenly a figured stepped out from behind the mast. It was tall, and other worldly. As it got closer to Vega, it's features became more clear. It's skin was onyx black, and stood seven feet tall. On each hand were vicious claws that hooked at the tips, and on it's head were two pairs of horns. One pair particularly resembling a ram's. It smiled at Vega, revealing rows of three inch, razor sharp teeth, His eyes glowing the darkest sanguine.

"At last we meet little Vega..." The creature said with a terrifying smile. Chills went down the young hybrida's spine as it spoke. "My name is Belecruu. And before you ask, no... I'm not going to devour your soul..." It continued, only causing Vega to step back in fear. This only made the Daemon smile, showing his razor teeth. "Silent much are we? Well then, Let's get down to brass tax as the humans say." He added.

Vega stood there frozen in place, as the thing proceeded to speak. After several moments of silence, the young Hybrida spoke. "What do you want with me? why are you in my mind?!" He asked, fear clear in his voice, feeding the Daemons hunger.

"So he does speak... To answer your questions, why I'm here, is because it's the only way to speak with you my boy. As for what I want, is to keep the balance." Belecruu replied flicking his forked tongue, tasting Vega's fear. "I'm here to make you an offer..." Belecruu finally finished as he crossed his arms across his chest.

"What kind of offer?" Vega asked fearful yet intrigued, as he started at the onyx colored spawn of the Nether Realm. The Daemon smiled at this, which only unnerved Vega even further.

"The kind that comes with power..."

0800 hours, 1283 Celestia calendar, Ponyville Library, Ponyville, Planet Equis

Twilight Sparkle rushed about frantically, as she searched the bookshelves looking for the one book that was out of place, thanks to her scaly assistant not paying attention. "Spike! Where in Tartarus did you put that book?! The Princess is going to be here any minute, and this place has to be flawless!" She cried as she ran her finger across titles trying to find the out of place book.

The sound of foot steps could be heard as the three foot tall Purple scaled dragon padded down the stairs from their room holding his face in utter annoyance with his caretaker's priorities. "Twilight, please... I don't think the Princess is going to notice one book out of place" he groaned only to get a death glare from the lavender unicorn mare.

"Well of course she's going to notice! This is Princess Celestia, the most powerful pony in Equestria!" she shouted getting in the young drake's face as beads of sweat dripped off his forehead. The look in her eye was one that reminded him of the Want it need it spell incident.

"Twi, you need to calm down, you're scaring me..." Spike whispered as he shrunk a bit from her gaze. Unknowing to them the front door opened to revealing three smiling fillies carrying the said book.

Without warning the three shouted in unison despite it being a library "HIYA TWILIGHT!" causing her to freeze up before suddenly looking over her shoulder to see, Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo smiling broadly as they stood before the two. Spike had let out an audible sigh of relief knowing that Twilight would finally chill out a little. That all changed when he felt the all too familiar sensation of belching up a letter from said princess.

A small tongue of green flames burst forth from his maw forming into a scroll with Celestia's seal. Not wasting anytime, Twilight plucked the parchment out of the air, opening it, being careful not to break the wax seal. There was a moment of silence as she read the letter. She then put the letter down for a second before reading it again. A look a worry form on spike's face as she tossed it away in frustration. "Well Twi, what did it say?" He asked curious on hearing what her mentor had wrote.

Letting out a groan of annoyance, she flopped down on the sofa. "Turns out there was some important matters to attend to in the Griffon Empire, and had to cancel." She said dejectedly, as she lit her horn, focusing on the book the three fillies still had in their possession, and levitating it to it's proper spot on the book shelf. She knew in the back of her mind that she would have to apologize to Spike for blaming him for misplacing it, but decided to just sit there waiting for something eventful to happen before she snapped.
