The Hybrida Chronicles
Chapter Four
Previous ChapterNext Chapter1800 hours, Sugarcube Corner, Ponyville, Planet Equis
Autumn is in the air, as every pony celebrated another successful and fun running of the leaves. Ponies milled about chatting with friends and family, playing games, or just getting crazy on the dance floor as DJ Pon-3, aka Vinyl Scratch dropped her newest beats. In a more secluded part of the establishment, Twilight and the others sat comfortably in a booth chatting, laughing and drinking the night away. They hadn't been able to cut loose like this in a long while due to the tension with the Griffons, so it was a nice change of pace. Twilight still worried about her Mentor and friend Celestia, since she had yet to return to Equestria due to the peace talks and what not. Sensing her trouble, Pinkie randomly popped out of Rarity's drink scaring the piss out of her as she held a tray a cupcakes.
"Don't worry Twi, I'm sure the princess is fine. She's probably having a party!" Pinkie assured, before popping back up in her seat as if she had never left. Twilight still could not figure out how she was able to do that, but decided to think of it as Pinkie being Pinkie to avoid a head splitting headache. "So, is every pony ready for the upcoming Nightmare Night?!" She asked bouncing in her seat, as visions of all the candy she would get danced across her mind's eye. Every pony but Fluttershy smiled and nodded enthusiastically.
"Ohh yeah! I totally can't wait to prank every pony again!" Dash shouted pumping her fist in excitement for one of her favorite holidays.
"Well I for one, am looking forward to show off my latest costume for the contest. I am sure i will win again, as i've done for countless years." Rarity added getting the girls to roll their eyes at the Fashionista. She simply huffed and crossed her arms in annoyance as they talked about the upcoming holiday.
**************************************
By 2100 hours, the party was finally coming to a close as ponies said their goodbyes. As always, Pinkies party was a blast as the attendees smiled before heading home for the night awaiting the dreaded hangover to hit them in the morning. As for the Mane Six, Fluttershy was no longer being her usual timid self as she was now sloshed, and hitting on a defenseless Big Macintosh, as she swirled an appletini in her left, while teasing the poor sod. Much to the Stallions relief and dismay, His sister ha come to the rescue, which included tearing him a new one for supposedly seducing her timid and inebriated friend.
Applejack on the hand was surprisingly only buzzed despite the amount she had been drinking. The only plausible would have to had been her breaking into granny Smith's moonshine stash hidden in the barn, while she wasn't busy bucking apples. Most residents know about the Apple families shady bootlegging business, but never ratted them out to the guards due to the high quality apples they grew. Plus the apple liquor was an added bonus in the towns opinion. Especially Berrypunch, who was the Apple families biggest buyer of the illegal beverage.
Dragging her brother out of the bakery, Applejack decided to call it a night, and wanted to avoid the headache that came with drinking too much. After saying her goodbyes to Twilight Pinkie, and Fluttershy, as the other two were passed out with empty glasses strewn about the table.
Despite the prohibition, Ponyville still thrived in the night life, and bootlegging industry. As Rainbow Dash and Rarity were living proof thanks to their little drinking game. As for how that happened, no pony could really say. But from what Twilight gathered, apparently Dash and Rarity were already smashed, and from what the others told her was that the brash pegasus bet that she could out drink the prissy unicorn. As a result, the two were now unconscious with no declared winner.
Twilight her self was well gone and decided to call it a night as well, leaving the pink mare with the not so shy Fluttershy. Her walk back to the Golden Oaks library was one filled with tripping over her own feet, drunken incoherent mumblings, and at some point streaking; which to Spike's embarrassment had to drag her bare ass to bed. Not that he didn't mind.
**************************************
The Next Morning, 1100 hours
Twilight's head pounded as beam's of Celestia's sun pierced her eyelids bringing her out of her alcohol induced sleep. The smell of greasy food was in the air, which caused her stomach to lurch, forcing her still naked form to the bathroom to regurgitate the contents of last night's party. The sound of her puking her guts up could be heard all the way down stairs as spike continued to cook greasy hay bacon, eggs, and fried cheese curds, all the while smiling evilly at her situation. After five or so minutes of dry heaving, Twilight returned to her room throwing on a robe to conceal her nudity as she slowly trudged down the stairs to have her hangover cure of a breakfast.
I am never going to drink again
she thought as she sat down at the table picking up a freshly brewed cup of coffee, compliments of Spike.
"So, how was the party?" The young drake asked only to get a pained groan for a reply. "That good huh. Must of been since I had to drag your naked butt up stairs..." he added with a small blush, which was quickly beaten by Twilight's own as her face turned red as a tomato. The drake simply waved it off as he went about serving them both.
"I'm so sorry Spike..." She squeaked as she was fully embarrassed not only because her assistant saw her naked as the day she was born, but most likely some of the residents has well. This is going to be a long day....

Year 2305, 0900 hours, Emerald Falls Youth Academy, Emerald falls, Mars
It was the first day of school, and like most kids his age, whether you're Human, Hybrida, or Shiv, Vega was excited. A chance to interact with kids his own age, and see his Aunt Alexia every day. She had pulled some strings to have him placed in her class, and he was grateful for it. It was more of a highly prestigious boarding school, than an academy, but it made no difference for the young hybrida.
The school was a modest size, able to hold 1700 students, with about 150 faculty. The courtyard was bustling with activity, as children milled about, either chatting with one another, playing tag, or remaining secluded out of shyness. Vega was among the latter. He hung around the large statue that dominated the center of the courtyard. It was made of chiseled quartz, and was shaped as a human sitting in a chair with a book in hand, with children sitting around him.
Vega looked at his schedule to see where his first class was. Sadly it wasn't with his aunt in Latin 101. During enrollment, he was given a choice of three electives, and first period for him was Tallakan 101. They way he figured it, he might as well learn a third language, and what better than the native tongue of their allies the Shiv.
Head to orientation. Your classes begin tomorrow morning. Belecruu whispered in his mind as Vega looked about wondering where to head to first. Ever since Vega had met the daemon three months ago, he had been nothing but helpful. Sure, Vega was unable to get any rem sleep, but he was okay with that, with the knowledge he was gaining from the onyx skinned entity. Over the course of three months, he had learned how to harness his ever growing Psyonic abilities, along with forgotten lore and combat. Doing as instructed by the Daemon, Vega, followed the group of students massing by what he could only guess was the auditorium.
After waiting outside for several minutes, the staff finally opened the doors to the auditorium. Upon entering, Vega gazed upon a massive stage, with hundreds of seats. Some of the walls had balconies overlooking the stage, and inside, he could only guess were the parents of the other children that were taking their seats, some chatting with one another. Vega made his way towards the middle of the auditorium, paying little attention to his surroundings. Wasn't his best move, as he felt something catch his leg, and found himself falling face first towards a girl around his age. Instead of hitting the ground like he had expected, he felt something firm cushion his face, along with a quiet "Eep!"
Vega slowly lifted his face from the firm pillow like objects to find they were attached to something, or someone. With a look of absolute panic and terror, he fell backwards on his ass, his face flushing beat red at the realization of what had happened. "Ego sum sic rumex! Is eram an casus! Commodo operor non dico meus amita! Is mos nunquam venia iterum! Spondeo!" Vega said rapidly in Latin as he waved his hands in a calming gesture.
The girl just stood there a moment before squeaking out "Is est teres... Ego operor non mens..." Said hiding behind her burnish gold hair, looking at the floor, blushing deeply. It melted Vega's heart at the display, but was caught off guard when she not only understood what he had said, but she replied in the same language.
"Let's just keep this our little secret, okay?" Vega asked as he slowly got up off the floor. The girl nodded energetically, as she kept her face hidden behind her hair. "My name's Vega, what's yours?" He asked as he got to he feet.
"I'm Auriel..." She mumbled looking away shyly. Vega smiled faintly as he held his hand out for her to take it. She timidly shook his hand with a sheepish smile before taking her seat. Vega took a seat next to her, as the rest of the students filed in.
Once the students had taken their seats, a man wearing a rather expensive looking suit stepped onto the massive stage. He was lean, and pale looking, his head balding on top. He tapped the single microphone a few times getting a popping noise from the speakers hidden throughout the auditorium. Immediately the room fell silent, and he had all eyes on him. "Thank you." He said into the microphone, causing his already deep voice to boom. Auriel jumped in her seat startled from the booming voice, making Vega look at her surprised.
Auriel simply blushed and hid her face behind her hair as the man on stage began speaking once more. "Welcome students to Emerald Falls Youth Academy. Being here today means that you are all to be our future's brightest and talented. Here at E.F.Y.A., no matter your race, background, or beliefs, you will be treated as family. All that is expected from you, is to do all you can for both the community here, and yourself, and to follow all rules and regulations. This is your new home now, and on behalf of all the staff here at this campus, welcome..." The man said, getting both Auriel and Vega to smile slightly.
**************************************
After two painfully long hours, and waning willpower to stay awake throughout the rest of the orientation, the students were released from the auditorium and were now splitting off into two groups. The Girls followed this elderly looking Shiv. Had to be in her late sixties, due to the shading of her tan skin under her eyes. Vega and Auriel said their goodbyes for the time being as they went off to their respected groups. Vega followed all the students that were his age, to a set of elevators. Leading the group was a human male no older than 28. He had rough skin, and several burns on his face from goddess knows what. From what Vega could tell, this guy was going to be a hard ass.
Once the double doors to the elevator slid open, everyone quickly piled in. It was cramped, and Vega felt as if he were to suffocate if he had to remain in this box suspended several floors above the ground as it made it's journey upwards towards the male dormitory. There was a light "Ding!" as the Elevator reached its destination. The doors slid open to reveal a long hallway with doors lining both sides of it. As soon as everyone piled out into the hallway the man finally spoke.
"Welcome to the male's dormitory... My name is Mr. Grahm..." He said, his voice gruff and raspy as if he had had his throat cut and chain smoked since he was born, which he probably did at one point in his life judging by the scars. "Here, is where you all will be staying under my charge. I have but only four rules while you're here at E.F.Y.A. One, You listen and do what I say, when I say without argument..." He went on. Vega simply drowned his voice out as he waited for the group to get moving once more. "...And rule four, save whatever violence you have towards one another for the gym..." He said as he pulled out a small data pad from his back pocket and looked it over. "Vega Nocturne..." He read, getting the hybrida to jump slightly. "You're in room 1496, and what do ya know... It's all yours..." He said dryly as he pointed to the direction Vega's room was.
Nodding, Vega quickly made his way away from the group and towards his assigned room. After walking down most of the hall way, he finally came to his room. The door was a nice maple, with some kind of varnish, and the numbers on his door made of polished brass, shined nicely in the artificial light. As he opened the door to his room, he was met by the sound of the hinges creaking slightly.
Upon entering, he found his suitcase and other belonging on his bed, as well as a footlocker at the end of it with a note taped to it. It read 'School uniforms' as he examined it. The rest of the room was rather bare. There were shelves for him to put various things and nick-nacs on, an antique style roll top desk with a mahogany stain and varnish, with a computer console inside. The walls were painted a dull steel grey, and the carpet a dark blue. The air smelled of cleaning chemicals as if it were just cleaned that very morning.
Taking a seat on the twin sized bed, Vega quickly removed his shoes and lounged back. He checked the Holo clock on the wall and read 1145 hours. It wasn't even noon yet, and it still felt like a full day. His thoughts were cut off as his stomach growled in protest to not being fed in three hours. If there is one thing about hybrida, they need to have at least 15000 calories a day to keep healthy.
Groaning in annoyance, he got up from the comfy bed and slowly slipped back on his shoes. His stomach growled again making him roll his eyes. "Alright... I get it.." Vega mumbled as he headed out the door and back to the elevators.

Auriel Lunae
Year 2305, 1145 hours, E.F.Y.A., Girls Dormitory. Emerald Falls, Mars
Standing in front of the mirror in her room, Auriel examined her features like she did most days. Her skin was fine and pale, almost an alabaster white. Her hair was a burnish gold, and the iris of her eyes were silver. Her legs had a slight bow at the shins, and she stood around four foot eight. She looked mostly human, despite have a hybrida mother, but that only gave her an advantage on most things.
I wonder if he'll ever like me? she thought as she continued to look at her form. To both humans and hybrida, she was quite stunning despite her age, yet she always doubted herself. A defense mechanism she had developed at an early age. She smacked herself in the forehead repeatedly in an attempt to dislodge the thought from her mind. Why would he like me?! He probably hates me... Stupid... Stupid Auriel... Her doubt replied as her roommate just stared at her and her strange display.
"Halfbreeds..." her roommate mumbled before going back to reading her magazine titled 'Celebrity Breakups'.
Auriel quickly stopped what she was doing when she realized she wasn't alone in the room. Her face flushed red with embarrassment as she quickly hid her face behind her shoulder length hair. After a moment of awkward silence, she timidly left the room and into the hallway. Well he is cute... Oh stop it! Stupid, stupid thoughts... But what if he likes me? He did say he was sorry and wanted to keep "It" a secret... Oh dear, what if he laughs at me for liking him?! She thought, beginning to panic. Her breathing became deep and rapid as she began to hyper ventilate.
Okay... Slow, deep breaths... Calm... Calm Auriel... she coached herself after a couple of minutes. "I Probably just need something to eat is all..." She said to herself meekly while standing outside her room. Quietly, she started making her way to the elevators that led to the dining hall. She walked at a hurried pace, hoping that when she got to the elevators they would be empty. Upon reaching the doors, she pressed a key, selecting it to take her down. Minutes pass in silence, when finally it was broken with a light "Ding!". The two thick metal doors parted and as if luck seemed to have abandoned her, she found Vega inside tapping his foot impatiently as his stomach growled loudly.
"Shut up!" Vega yelled at the growling organ making Auriel jump startled by the sudden outburst with a quiet "EEP!". Turning his head, he spotted her, with a look of surprise and embarrassment on his face. Quickly, Auriel hid her face behind her hair once more as she timidly stepped inside.
"What Floor" Vega asked, breaking the silence between the two. Auriel simply held up her index finger, as she shuffled her feet nervously. "First?" He asked getting quick nod from her. She watched Vega simply press the close doors button, and it once again, made its decent.

Vega Nocturne
1150 hours, Fifth Floor Elevator
The Elevator was moving slowly, as the two stood there in silence, interrupted by the sound of Vega's stomach growling, which only annoyed him. This of course made Auriel giggle quietly at his predicament. Well, at least she finds it funny... He thought. Looking at her, he noticed her features more clearly than he had in the auditorium. There was something about her that made him feel... Safe. He didn't know why, but he was comfortable around her; Even if he had only just met her that very morning. Although in quite an embarrassing yet very enjoyable way for him.
Unable to take the silence any longer, he finally spoke up. "You don't talk much do you?" He asked. She simply shook her head side to side in reply. "Are you afraid I might make fun of you?" He pressed, getting a nod from her. "I see..." He mumbled to himself.
Invite her to lunch you foolish child... Belecruu hissed inside Vega's mind as they stood there awkwardly. I'm working on it! Jeez, cut me some slack will ya? Vega shot back at the daemon. Looking back at her, he cleared his throat, getting her attention almost immediately. "I'm headed to lunch, and was wondering if you would like to join me?" He asked, blushing slightly. If there was one sure thing, he was gonna have high blood pressure and get scolded by the nurse after his check up later on that day.
Auriel peeked behind her hair and mumbled something incoherent. "I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that." He said getting her to shy away a little. Taking a deep breath, she repeated herself a little louder than before.
"Ego exsisto laetus praecessi... Si ut teres vobis ut est..." She replied softly, hiding her face once again from him. It was a rather cute display in his opinion, which brought a small smile to his face.
"It's always alright with me if you want to tag along." he said holding out his hand in a friendly manner. Auriel beamed at him, and quickly hugged him instead of shaking his hand. His body immediately went rigid at the sudden hug, but after a moment, he returned it. They broke away once the elevator came to a complete stop with a light "Ding!".
**************************************
1305 hours, E.F.Y.A. Dining Hall
The two had spent the last two hours getting to know one another, as Vega stuffed his face with the free food. It wasn't Terresa's cooking, but it was better than nothing. Turns out, Auriel with no surprise, came from wealthy stock, and had received the best of everything growing up. Education, Health care, you name it, she had it. Vega had become quite envious of her when she finished telling him about her family. When it was his turn, her face paled even further, as tears welled up in her eyes. She's quite the sensitive one, as her only response to him finishing was "You poor thing!" and a rib crushing hug. It wasn't the kind of attention he was use to, but overall, he didn't mind it much. That was, until he couldn't breathe and had to pry her off.
If there's something you need to know about halfbreeds, it's that they are stronger than the average hybrida, and mature just as fast as them. She may be the age of twelve, but her appearance was of a sixteen year old. Same went for Vega and all the other hybrida on campus.
The two also had compared schedules, and found out that they were in a number of classes together, including Tallakan 101, and Latin 101. Both being able to speak and write the latter fluently, they were going to ace the class quite easily. They also shared the same Free period, so they could do as they wished, which they decided the library would be their usual hangout.
"I wouldn't mind going to the library right now... If that's alright with you that is..." Auriel said in her timid manner. I guess I'm going to have to get use to that. Vega thought as he gave her a smile.
"Sounds like fun." He replied as he slowly got up from their table, grabbing his empty tray as he did so. Auriel smiled shyly and followed his lead after taking care of their trays. For the first time in years, He felt truly happy. This also unnerved him a bit, due to him not feeling the emotion often. It was good feeling, yet it was scary. As they made their way out of the dining hall, he made a last second decision to skip out and see his aunt instead. "Hey, uh... Auriel, can I get a rain check on heading to the library? I just realized I needed to see my aunt before class starts for the other students." He lied. He didn't like doing it, especially to his one and only friend, but he needed some clarity.
"Well, okay. When do you want to meet up then? If it's okay with you that is..." She asked with a small understanding smile. There was a hint of disappointment in her words, which only hurt him more.
Vega stood there in a moment in contemplation when he finally came up with an answer. "How does 1700 hours work for you?" He asked getting a wide smile from her. He took that as a yes as she strolled on into the elevator and pressed the 10th floor key.
As soon as the doors to the elevator closed, Vega began making his way to the eastern wing of the structure. It had taken him a while to find Latin 101, but he managed with enough time to spare as he spotted his Aunt Alexia sitting behind her desk smiling as she saw him enter.
"Vega, I don't believe I have thee here till the morrow." She said playfully. Vega didn't smile. Her face went serious as soon as she noticed the lack of smile on his face. "Is something wrong?" She asked, worry now clear on her face as she got up from her desk to stand with her nephew.
"Illic is puella ego occurrerunt is oriens..." He began timidly. Almost as timid as Auriel. "Is planto mihi sentio res amo ego nunquam sensi. bonus sensus, etiamnunc is vix mihi..." He finished, the worry clear in his voice. Alexia only smiled at the revelation as she knew what was going on.
"Vega carus, illa sensus es northmanni parumper puer vestri aevum. Quis est suus nomen?" She replied smiling. She had been waiting to give him this talk for some time, but the opportunity never arisen. Vega looked at her, relief showing in his eyes as he hugged her tightly.
"Lunae, Auriel Lunae." He answered making his aunt smile wider. Looks like I won that bet. Oh Terresa and Aelius are gonna have a field day. She thought as she held her nephew, and now to be student.
"Vega, If I remember correctly, She's in my class as well. And I know her mother." She said smiling down on him. "As for what thou is feeling, have no fear, enjoy every moment of it." She replied before looking up at the holo clock. "Now get going. Class is going to start soon. And have fun." She said as she started walking Vega out of the classroom. As soon as the door shut, Alexia quickly pulled out her cell, and tapped a few commands. Bringing it up to her ear, she spoke with a smug grin. "Terresa, tell Aelius that both of you owe me..."

Year 2305, 1650 hours, Emerald Falls Youth Academy Library, Emerald Falls, Mars
Vega Decided to meet Auriel at the library early, and to get a little research in. He had found him a secluded table in the back of the library that he found quiet enough to read. On the table in front of him was a thick book on psyonic sciences, and how to hone ones abilities in discovering what mancy he fell under. Belecruu had been a lot of help, but even a daemon can only teach him so much. He had already finished reading the third chapter when he felt someone staring at him from the other side of his book. Lowering it, so that his eyes peaked over, he saw a familiar face standing before him, shifting around nervously.
"I didn't actually think you'd come..." She said quietly as he set his book down with a smile. Almost instantly, she brightened up and took a seat across from him. "I really need to stop doubting myself." she added with a small smile.
"Why do you doubt yourself all the time?" Vega asked putting the book down completely with a look of concern on his face. Auriel simply looked down at the table as if trying to avoid the question. After a minute of silence, Vega reached out and gently squeezed her hand. "If anything, I should be the one with the doubts for all the shit I've gone through" He said with a small smile before retracting his hand and picking his book back up.
Seeing the cover, Auriel spoke up with a bit more enthusiasm than before. "You're a Psyon?" she asked clearly interested in the subject. Vega nodded as he raised his right hand slightly. Out of nowhere, a cloudy, purplish pink aura enveloped his hand, causing Auriel to stare in awe. A few moments later, a book mark slid into place on the book he had been reading, as the aura dissipated. "Oh... My..." Was all she could muster.
"The Doctors think, that due to me being struck by an Ion bolt, it had awakened the other parts of my brain." He explained as he played with a pencil, making it rise and fall with just a thought. "The morning I had returned home, I found myself levitating above my bed, bleeding from my eyes and nose." he continued as he telekinetically grabbed a book off the shelf and levitated it. "Turns out, It ran in my family. Mostly with the males for some reason." He explained setting down the objects he had manipulated.
"Do you know if you're a mancer or not?" she asked, excitement clear in her voice and body language. She was literally bouncing like a child on Christmas morning, about to open presents. The way she was looking at him, made him feel as if she were assessing a test subject before dissection to see what made it tick.
"Err, no... That's why I got this book." He replied nervously as she leaned in uncomfortably close, questions about to burst forth from her. Surprisingly, she sat back and kept quiet as if contemplating something. Oh Sweet Selene, what is she thinking?! he panicked internally as she sat there. After a few minutes of silence, She spoke up again.
"I'd like to help you find out... If that's alright with you that is." She said adding the last part in her usual timid manner as she hid behind her hair shyly again. Vega Let out a sigh of relief before smiling.
"I'd like that..."

Three Next Morning, 0500 hours, E.F.Y.A. Male Dormitory, Room 1496
Vega awoke to the sound of his alarm clock going off. Smacking it absent mindedly, he let out a low groan as he placed his right hand over his face in an attempt to rub the sleep from his eyes. It took almost every ounce of energy to sit up in his bed due to the lack of sleep he had been getting. Auriel had been running him ragged with all the tests she'd been running. Looking about his room, he noticed everything was where it was the previous night. The sun had not risen yet, so it gave him plenty of time to get cleaned up and down to the dining hall before the others.
Sliding out out bed with reluctance, his bare feet touched the carpeted floor. The cushioning felt odd to him, mostly having been use to hardwood flooring and tiling. Looking to his holo clock, he noticed the time, and had to resist hitting his head against something. It read 0510 hours, and he didn't have to be up for another 35 minutes. Tired and annoyed, he trudged over to the bathroom, dragging his feet across the carpet as he did so.
The bathroom was modestly sized, it's floor made up of white tile, the walls were the same dull steel grey as the rest of his room. It was furnished with two sinks, a full body mirror, and large shower.
Stepping into the shower, he instantly woke up to the near scalding hot water making contact with his skin. Pleasure racked his body, as the hot water rolled off his skin. Naturally, having a body temperature of 91.6 F, additional heat is always welcome, and the water simply felt divine, as it swirled at his feet and down the drain.
For the majority of the shower, Vega had simply just let the water beat against his skin, slowly feeling his energy return. Stepping out, he could hardly see in front of him, as steam floated and swirled about in the air, fogging the mirror, and warming the atmosphere of the room further. Normally, Vega would have turned the vent on, but at the moment, he simply didn't give two shits.
Seems you've been enjoying yourself... The daemon chuckled in his mind, as Vega dried himself. It had become a norm for him to hear a voice that's not his own inside his head, so it didn't bother him in the least. Though, it did get on his nerves occasionally.
"Why don't you come out, and try it for yourself horns..." Vega mumbled as he wiped the mirror off, to see Belecruu looking back him with an unnerving smile. Even though he had been seeing him twenty four seven, for the last three months, That smile still gave the hybrida the creeps. He wasn't sure whether it was the three inch long razor teeth, or the sanguine colored eyes. All he knew was it's creepy.
Oh, trust me, when you come of age, we'll be sharing a lot of things... Belecruu replied, losing his smile as if dreading the day. Now get somewhat modest, we have a guest. He added before his image faded from the mirror. There was a light rapping on the door to his room as soon as the daemon made itself scarce. Wrapping himself with the towel, Vega quickly exited the bathroom. Steam billowed out as soon as the door opened, and cool air rushed at him, sending chills all over his exposed flesh.
The rapping repeated a second time, as he made his way to the door. Gripping the door knob, he gave it a turn, and pulled open the door to find none other than Auriel. "Morning..." was all Vega could say before seeing the Psudo-hybrida girl's face flush red as she stared at his unclothed body. The only thing on him was a towel, that was wrapped around his lower half. "Are you alright?" he asked, before watching her collapse to the floor, out like a light. Oh goddess why do you hate me?

Auriel
Male Dormitory, 0630 hours, Vega's room
Warm... She felt warm, and safe as she laid there on a firm mattress. She wasn't sure where she was, nor did she really care at the moment. Slowly, Auriel opened her eyes to find herself in a room not her own. Bolting upright, she began to panic as she looked about frantically to get an idea of where she was. She quickly calmed down after she started remembering what had happened.
Let's see, I woke up early, left my room to see if Vega was up after getting dressed, stood outside his door and knocked a few times, then he... Her face flushed as the image of Vega wrapped in a towel returned. The room suddenly felt hotter as the mental image was burned clear in her mind. "Oh... My..." were the only words that left her lips.
"Well it's about time you woke up sleeping beauty..." Vega said dryly, getting Auriel to blush and hide behind her hair as she usually did when embarrassed. Vega only smiled at the display.
"I'm sorry..." She replied, trying to hide herself even more. She wanted to slink away back to her room and just stay there before she died of embarrassment. It was a rather cute display in Vega's opinion.
"Auriel, vos nusquam futurus rumex super." Vega said in a gentle tone, as he patted her knee reassuringly. "Vos mos adepto utor ut is eventus." He added with a soft smile.
"Ego precor vos es vox..." She replied in her usual timid tone, as small smile graced her lips before pulling him into a tight hug. Vega returned the hug if only for a moment when she began to hear his ribs crack, and him struggling to get free from her death hug. "Oops... Sorry..." Auriel said with a sheepish smile as she released Vega, who tentative rubbed his sides.
"Remind me to not piss you off..." Vega groaned, eliciting a small giggle from her. "Yeah, yeah... Laugh it up..." he said feigning annoyance, which only made her laugh more.
**************************************
By 0800 hours, the two had already finished up in the dining hall, and had went their separate ways to first hour. The hallways were bustling as students milled about, some standing at the sides chatting idlely about what ever came to mind, while others dashed about getting to their first hour classes. Vega slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled out the schedule reading it over.
First period, Tallakan 101, 0830 hours, Room 115
Second Period, Combat readiness, 0930 hours, Gym

Checking the clock on the wall, it read 0815 hours, and the classroom was at the end of the hall. Upping his pace, he weaved in and out of groups of students that were simply chatting about mundane subjects. Nothing that would truly interest him in the After a couple of minutes, he finally made it through to room 115. On the door read: Tallakan 101, Mr. Zerran. Upon opening the door, he found the room to be devoid of students.
Well I am early.... He thought as he made his way in and took a seat at the front of the class. A few moments later, an adult male Shiv walked through the door, oblivious to Vega, and took a seat at his desk. His skin was a steel grey, and he stood at least seven feet tall, not counting his head fringe. On his face was a white paint-like substance, that made intricate designs.
"You're early..." He said, looking at the young hybrida getting him to jump a little. His voice was somewhat of an alto-tenor pitch and had rows of needle like teeth as he smiled with his split jaw. It was somewhat of an unnerving sight.
"My aunt told me that if I show up early, I'm on time. But if I show up on time, I'm late." Vega replied calmly as his heart rate was began to return to normal. Mr. Zerran, smiled even brighter as he nodded in agreement.
"You must be Alexia's nephew Vega. She's told me good things about you." He replied with a wider smile. "So tell me Mr. Nocturne, why Choose my class?" Mr. Zerran asked, leaning back in his chair, clasping his three digit hands.
Vega thought about it for a moment before coming up with his answer. "I guess I figured why not learn the language of our allies since I'm proficient in Latin and English. Both street and archaic." He replied getting a satisfied nod from the Shiv male. Surprisingly, Vega actually believed himself when he said this. "How hard a language is Tallakan?" He asked curiously as a few students started making their way in and taking their seats.
"That'll be answered shortly Mr. Nocturne." Mr. Zerran replied, as students started coming in, and filling more seats. Some chatted amongst themselves as he made his way to the front of the class room. Clearing his throat loudly, the room quickly fell silent as all eyes were on him. "Drem-kruha mansalo ze Tallakan tet peno tet." He said with a wide smile before speaking again. "Welcome Students to Tallakan one-o-one." He said in English this time, his voice carrying throughout the classroom quite well as he spoke.

0950 Hours, E.F.Y.A. Gymnasium, Combat Readiness Class
"Ninety eight... Ninety nine... One hundred..." Vega grunted as he pushed himself back up and onto his feet. Sweat dripped from his brow as he stood there, awaiting his teachers next order.
"Think you're some kind of hotshot do ya?" The instructor growled getting Vega to stand straighter. Crowley was his name, and Vega could already tell he was going to hate this guy, but buried the thought as shook his head no. Crowley frowned, as he stared at him with a look of anger on his face. "Too good to answer me then... We'll see about that... Drop and give me another one hundred!" He barked getting the other students who were still working on theirs snicker at him.
"With all due respect sir... No..." Vega replied getting the Crowley to turn red with rage. He could already tell he had made a mistake and was about to apologize when he was interrupted.
Duck now! Vega heard Belecruu order and obeyed immediately. Crowley's fist barely grazed the top of his head as he dropped down to the floor. Press the advantage. The daemon instructed only to be silenced when Crowley brought his knee up, striking Vega in the chest, making the child stumble backwards a few steps.
Adrenaline flooded his system as his hands glowed a purplish pink. Crowley failed to notice this change as he pressed on with his attack. His fist was inches away from Vega's face when it abruptly stopped frozen in place. The instructor had a look of shock when he realized he couldn't move.
"Oh shi..." Crowley began before being cut off as he was flung upwards towards the ceiling. There was a loud Crash and the sound of metal denting as he hit the ceiling. Vega held him there for a few moments before slamming him into the floor hard. There was a loud Crack! along with the instructor screaming in agony, as wood splinters flew everywhere. Vega slowly, rose him up to face him, looking Crowley dead in the eyes.
Fear... Fear was all he saw in the man's eyes as he held him there. "Touch me again, And I'll flay you alive." Vega growled, as his nose began to bleed from working his mind too much. Tears streaked down the instructors face as he began to bawl his eyes out.
"Please... Don't hurt me again! I'll do anything, just don't hurt me..." He cried. The display not only sickened Vega and the students as well as they gathered round. He could hear the students whispering amongst themselves on whether Vega would actually let him go.
"Find a new profession..." Was all Vega said before giving a flick of his wrist. The man screamed like a bitch as he was thrown to the other side of the gym before hitting the concrete wall with a loud Thump! Moments later Vega collapsed, as he slipped into unconsciousness once again.
