A Savior From The Stars. (A Halo: ODST Crossover)

Chapter Eight: Happy Memories

Year 2802. It has been 250 years since the UNSC ship Liberty had left earth. After a computer glitch, the ship was sent through space where it appeared next to an enemy battle cruiser. After a rough battle, the crew of Liberty made a blind jump, but this time the same computer glitch sent them through time and space, exiting over earth. Receiving no communication from their home planet, the crew sent a loan ODST to recon.

-After Human Arrival Day One-

Celestia was to meet Commander Shepherd of the UNSC ship Liberty. The human soldier named Johnson stood next to her. He made first contact with the species, he was to be in the meeting. Seeing that the pony, human ruler was nervous Jason let out a chuckle, "don't worry princess, there is no need to be nervous. After a war like my species has been in, another is the last thing we want."

"Well, what kind of war was it?" The princess asked

"A horrible one, I was lucky enough to not have been deployed. Basic was grueling though. He chuckled "your acting more nervous then my step brother David when we had weapons check in basic this one time." The chuckle soon became a laugh "the idiot had dropped his smg and a Scorpion battle tank had ran over it. When he picked it up it looked fine. Then he went to remove the clip. The round exploded in the gun while it was in his hands." The laugh died down to a chuckle. "Man he got an ass chewing for that. But luckily it was because of a faulty holder on his back. So it wasn't all bad." The chuckle stopped completely "he was always like a true brother to me, hell, we looked so much alike that our Drill Sergeant called us "the wonder twins." A lone tear was shed, hidden from the princess. "He was a good friend."

Celestia laughed a little "he sounds like he is lucky to...wait, was a good friend?" Celestia asked looking somber now.

"Yeah, it's kinda hard to explain but our ship used to be able to travel through space in seconds, but a malfunction made us travel right next to a Covenant battle cruiser, he was killed in the first attack. We had to jump away, and our ship brought us home". Jason sighed. He then felt the alicorn hug him.

"I'm sorry." She said hugging him.

"It's okay princess" he said as he smiled at her, his blue eyes looked so beautiful to her. "Do you happen to know what happened to earth, why there are no humans?"

She shook her head "no" and looked at him "when I came here, there where only animals. I used my magic to turn them into the races on this earth today. Some of the eagles and lions became griffins, some bulls and cows became the minotaur race, and all of the ponies became what they are, I attempted to make some into a comparable lover, who wouldn't age like me. But each attempt failed and thus the unicorns and pegasus's where born." She then felt a hug.

"My turn to say I'm sorry princess" said the human.

"Please, call me Tia" Celestia said.

At that moment Shepherd walked in and smiled "hello your majesty" said the new human.

After the meeting, Celestia was smiling, why she wasn't sure, but perhaps it was that Jason was staying with her.

"So," she said as she walked though the palace eyeing him. She wrapped her arms around him "want to go and get something to eat? I'm famished"

Without a second thought Jason spoke up "if its better then mess hall slop, ill eat it princess" A smile grew on Celestia's face, and was also giving him a low growl.

"I said call me Tia." She said licking Jason's face teasingly, getting a chuckle from the marine. "And how's does cake sound?"

Celestia sighed, her memory wasn't of the meeting, all she could recall was the human who stood next to her. But now saw him in David, her David. No, not hers, he was Luna's. wasn't he? They where dating. Why did she feel like this about him?

"Princess are you okay?" David asked seeing she had stopped. It was then she pushed David against a wall and her ears hugged her head as she growled.

"Call me Tia, David" she said kissing him forcefully slipping her tongue into his mouth. She loved the taste of his mouth.

-Earth 2542-

A wedding was taking place. One was an older male, dressed in ODST dress blues, his hair was a dark blonde, and his eyes where blue, his bride had blue eyes as well. People born on earth where blessed with blue eyes, but still only ten percent of humans where born on earth at this time. To the left stood one other man in ODST dress blues, the grooms brother and best man. And two boys, one age twelve, and one eleven. Both David smiled as Jason became his brother and so did Jason. The two wore military academy dress blues. They did not know how much their life's would change.

After the wedding they where at the dinner party and standing against a wall as their dads best man walked up to the two brothers "so boys, you going to be ODST like you old man and I?" He asked.

With a smile and a nod, both boys said in unison "yes sir." As the night went on, laughs shared and pictures taken, David didn't know that this would be one of his last happy memories.
