Chapter Three Tower LockedView OnlineKing Sombra's ResurrectionChapter Three Tower LockedOutside, during the pouring rain, the sky was a lighter gray, and from the far left of the castle was a huge tall tower. Inside this tower was a small white pony with pink, light blue green, purple, and light blue green again. She had a sun cutie mark. She paced around the huge round tall room, it was dark with source of light to be found. Suddenly the sounds of keys jingling and hoof steps echoed the room. The guard pony put a key into the door’s keyhole, a clank sounded and the metal gate door swung opened. The Guard pony said to her “The king has requested to see you princess”. Princess Celestia stood up on her hooves and then slowly walked through the halls and corridors and finally made it to the main hall that led to the throne room. Her eyes stung from the glow and brightness that burned from the flames of the torches. The pony sitting on the throne said with a deep voice “Princess let me show you something”. He waved his left hoof saying to the guards “you may leave, she will be with me”. And the guards left them alone. He said to her “Follow me”. He walked towards the left of the room and stopped in front of a wall followed by Princess Celestia. He put his left hoof around her and put his right hoof on a gray brick in the center of the wall and pushed it inwards. The sound of clanking chains came from behind the wall and then stopped. the wall had split and was opening. Inside the wall was a green orb that sat on a pedestal. His green and red eyes, followed by a purple glow, grew huge and sparkled with the reflections of the glowing green orb. He said “this orb is connected to you, connected to your type of magic. Strangely this connection between you and this orb are like that of a lock and key, but not just any key, a key to my future rule. If only you could help me secure it, then I will let you be at my side and maybe let you take my place as queen, what do you say?”. Princess Celestia said to him, “You will never be king, I will not help you!” She walked back to the tower on her, own knowing fully that she would get out of this place and become ruler of a different place. She pulled the gate door to the tower she was in the tower. As it shut and it locked again.
Chapter Four Escape TowerView OnlineKing Sombra's ResurrectionChapter Four Escape TowerPrincess Celestia was pacing around the room, thinking, and planning how to get out of her cell. Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the guard. He was nicer than the rest and he loathed the king and how he ruled over this unknown land. The guard walked, over to her setting down a tray of food. As he did so, one of the many keys fell to the stone covered floor next to the tray of food. Outside the door the other guard heard the sound of the key hitting the floor, and asked “Everything ok in there?” The kind guard with Celestia said, “Everything’s fine”. His horn glowed, creating a copy of the key that fell. He walked towards the door and left. She picked up the key, a picked up a sheet of moss, and a stone brick that was loose, and set it beside her quietly, Princess Celestia put the key down in the gap and then covered it with the sheet of moss, then placed the brick on top of the moss, hoping it cushioned the key from breaking. She smiled as she looked at the stone covered floor. The moss covered small cracks and the rest of the floor looked the same. The moss fit perfectly with the room. She ate the food on the tray, then shoved the empty tray to the door. The door opened and the guard picked up the tray, closing the door and walked off. She smiled and noticed a green dragon sleeping beside an egg, in the next cell. She whispered to the dragon “I need your help”. The dragon yawned and said to her, “I will help you but you have to do something for me. See this egg?” The princess nodded, the dragon continued, saying, “When you escape take this egg with you. Can you do that for me?” The princess said to the dragon “I will”. Princess Celestia used what little magic she had left to make a parchment and quill. She wrote furiously and rolled the parchment as the quill faded away. She said to the dragon, “Ok this is where I need your help. Send it to my friend’s place. She will know what to do”. The dragon looked at the address on the parchment, rolled it up and breathed green fire. The green fire consumed the scroll and within seconds it was gone.
Chapter Five A Daring EscapeView OnlineKing Sombra's ResurrectionChapter Five A Daring EscapeSuddenly at a nearby cottage, a fireplace was burning orange and yellow flames but then changed to green. A scroll shot out of the fire place and landed on the table. The mare was a maroon color and her mane was curled to the right side. Her cutie mark was a four leafed clover. She unrolled the scroll, reading the words. It read “My dear friend, I am in a tower trapped. Please do the following as listed in this note. First, pack saddlebags, second find my high royal guards in the east of your village. Give them this note. It has instructions to where I am. I have a plan to escape, so please send this to them by any and all means necessary. Take care your friend and royal gal pal, Princess Celestia. The mare ran, packed with saddlebags and the note. She got to an old stone castle that looked new and improved. She pushed the doors opened, and saw a huge royal guard pony and walked up to him and gave him the note she carried and the saddlebags. He read the note and shouted to the other guards in white armor, “The princess sent us a note telling us where to head to. We are going to the castle in the south. Yes I know that it is his castle, but for the sake of the princess we need to get her out of there. Follow me colts and move it!” With that they took flight to the castle in the south. They got there in time. It was nightfall, and most of the guards were sleeping in the castle except the royal guards. One guard was by the door where the princess was. She heard and guard outside the door go “ugh”, followed by the sounds of a thud and hooves clopping up to the door. It opened, and she took the key that was hidden and handed it to her highly trusted, guard. He put the key in the hole of the gate door. It clicked and swung opened. She walked over to the dragon with the egg and picked it up. The guard put saddlebags on her, as requested in the note. She smiled but there was one more thing she would have to do before she left. She went to the throne room, and it was empty as she hoped it would be. She walked over to the wall that she remembered being shown, placing her hoof on the center of the wall and pushed it in, the wall split and opened as it had done so before. The green orb was there still she took the green orb and put it in her saddlebag. The wall closed and she took off with her royal guards. The next morning the king woke up. The rumors about the princess escaping fled around the whole castle, he was not furious. He was calm and said, “She is not important now so no use going after her again, however, bring me the historian. Perhaps he can write this down”. A blue colt walked up to a writing desk. His blue mane was slicked back, and his eyes were a calm lime green. His cutie mark was a red feathered quill and a parchment rolled with a red wax crest on it. He was writing down frantically of this history of the princess escaping with his blue horn glowing reddish hue, and his name was Penmanship Pembroke. That night he finished writing down everything he could. He went outside and his eyes changed to red, his mouth had fangs. He said to himself “Oh if only one bite of King Sombra and his terror would end”. “If only”, his thoughts echoed.
Chapter Six The King’s SearchView OnlineKing Sombra's ResurrectionChapter Six The King’s SearchYears past by as King Sombra searched everywhere for the green orb and for the princess. His kingdom crumbled in ruins as he screamed and shouted. In a flash of lightening Princess Celestia had woken up from her memories and was running down the streets of Canterlot in the pouring rain, blasting spells from her horn at the black smoke that followed her swiftly. Her thoughts ran through her head, of what to do, when suddenly a black and red glow hit her causing her to fall and creating scratch marks all over her body. She got back up and weakly walked in to a doughnut shop out of the pouring rain. Inside the shop was an earth colt with a white hat, a brown mane, and a doughnut cutie mark. His name was Doughnut Joe. His eyes opened wide seeing the princess. As he shook off the shock, he said, "What will it be Princ----". He looked at her more up close as she walked to the counter in pain. He saw that she was scratched up quite alot. He asked "How did this happened to you Princess Celestia?” She breathed heavily, and said weakly “No time to explain. Is there a back door out of here, somewhere safe I can get to?” Doughnut Joe said to her, “Yes there is a back door, but the only place that is safe is your castle Princess.” She shook her head saying, “Not even the castle is safe from him.”
Chapter Seven Safe HavenView OnlineKing Sombra's ResurrectionChapter Seven Safe HavenShe walked out the back door when suddenly she saw a blue smoke go by her. The smoke turned around and stopped. It cleared up revealing a blue unicorn. His mane was the same before wild, curled and it was Penmanship Pembroke. He said to Princess Celestia, “I must get you to a safe place. My place will do”. She nodded at him and he grabbed her with his hooves, entered the doughnut shop and said to Doughnut Joe, “One mocha spresso to go”. The colt walked over to a coffee maker and started it up as fast as he could. Within a few seconds it was ready. Pembroke lifted the coffee with his horn and teleported the mocha spresso to his home. He then held on to Celestia and turned to blue smoke and rushed down the streets of Canterlot in the pouring rain. The streets blurred with white and blue smoke and suddenly stopped at an old broken down house. He smiled knowing that the both of them were safe for now at his home. Walking the princess inside his home, the inside was not as anypony would have expected. It was neat and tidy. The mocha spresso was still warm on the table. He sat down looking at Celestia. Pembroke said, “There is a shower to your left in the next room”. She walked into the room on her left, took a shower, washing the scratch marks all over her. Pain struck her when she would rub the scratch marks on her body with the sponge. She took a towel, and dried herself off and walked into the living room and sat on the couch with Pembroke sitting there. There was silence between them. The only noise that was heard was the rain hitting the stone streets. He said, “You’re wondering how I am still this age, how I can turn into smoke and travel fast that way, right?” She nodded letting him know to explain. Pembroke said, “That night you escaped his tower something happened to me. I was hit by a spell of the king, I blocked most of it”. Celestia asked, ”What do you mean blocked most of the spell?” Pembroke said, “If I had not blocked most of his spell I would not be helping you stay safe here. I would have either taken you to him, or worse, however that was just by luck he made me into this thing, into a vampire, and little did he know that night some of his powers transferred to me, that’s why I can turn into smoke and why I can travel fast.” She was shocked but shook her head out of the shock and asked “how are we protected?” He looked at her and said “a powerful spell, when we entered my place a field around this place activated, the outside of this place that looks old it a cloak, I call my home Safe Heaven”. The house started to shake with the sounds of rain and thumping, it was King Sombra, outside the house black and red smoke blew over quickly into the proactive field that was transparent blue, again the house shook followed by a thump, King Sombra said his voice booming inside the house “princess do you really think your safe from me? I will be back and will rule over this land you rule now” he left the house alone, black and red smoke raced down the streets of Canterlot.
Chapter Eight Equestria’s CreationView OnlineKing Sombra's ResurrectionChapter Eight Equestria’s CreationPembroke asked, “What did you do with the green orb?” Celestia said, “That night I escaped, I took the orb as you know, and waited for the right moment to use it. It’s Equestria. “How is that possible?” asked Pembroke. She calmly, said “you know how a key and lock work? It turned out my horn is the key to the orb, I just thought of hiding the orb in plain sight, and it created Equestria, and all the sub sections that make up Equestria, except one, Ponyville”. Pembroke looked around the room frantically, his eyes caught a blackboard and chalk. He pushed the blackboard into the center of the room, and he drew markings and stopped abruptly, saying “Take this line representing Equestria, the circle represents the orb, do you know what this means?. It means that when you were thinking of hiding the orb in plain sight, it went under the earth, exactly as you planned it. He smiled knowing that the orb was safe, he then thought the king is still after her, and stills thinks she has the orb. Pembroke then said, first thing “I need to do is hide you so King Sombra doesn’t find you.” Looking around the room again, he walked to a back room. There he found, two pieces of fabric and carrying the pieces of fabric in his hooves, he said, “You will have to look like a normal unicorn. All part of my plan” she nodded, and a blue glow made her the normal size mare without wings and only a horn. Her mane changed to dark black and her eyes changed color too. They were not pink anymore but replaced by purple. Pembroke threw her one of the pieces of fabric and said, “This spell is only temporary but should be enough so you can hide.” They both walked outside in the rain. Which fell much lighter rain and it was calm.
Chapter Nine A Historical Battle To Be RememberView OnlineKing Sombra's ResurrectionChapter Nine A Historical Battle To Be RememberAs they walked away from each other, a voice pierced through the air saying, “I am at the center of town princess, come to me with the orb and together we can rule with you as my queen by my side. Everything you wanted can come true!” And then the voice stopped. A white cloaked pony walked to the center of the town and there he was waiting. “Glad you came. Now give me the orb and no harm will befall you princess”, said King Sombra. The cloaked pony nodded and took a few steps back, then ran towards him, tackling him and started punching and bucking him, causing him to fall back. He turned to red and black smoke, flew up and landed on the roof of a carousel. The white hooded pony took off the white cloak, Sombra’s eyes were widened, shocked at who he saw and said “You! It can’t be. Is that really you historian? You haven’t age a bit” Sombra said Pembroke said, “Two things, one my name is Penmanship Pembroke, and two you haven’t aged either”. With that his horn glowed and he was on the roof in front of Sombra in the rain, Sombra turned to black and red smoke again. As he did so, Pembroke grabbed onto him. There was black and purple smoke trailing through the streets and skies of Ponyville. The colored smoke came down hard ruining, the roof of the townhouse causing the both of them to roll out of the smoke that followed them. Sombra said, “You’re going to have to try harder then that to kill me”. He was laughing. Pembroke stood up and said, “Silence lets finish what we started” He grabbed onto Sombra again and turned into blue smoke. Red, black, and blue smoke streaked across the skies, as they were causing more damage to the town of Ponyville. They crashed into a place called “Sugar Cube Corner”. Ponies gathered around the rubble outside the of place. On the inside, Pembroke used his horn, blasting spells and enchantments at Sombra, causing Sombra to grow week.
Chapter One Canterlot LibraryView OnlineKing Sombra's ResurrectionChapter One Canterlot LibraryIn Canterlot there was a pony that was white with a flowing mane, colored pink, light blue-green, purple, and a darker blue-green. Her eyes were pink and she had a sun cutie mark. For she was an alicorn. For those who don’t know what an alicorn is, an alicorn is a princess, that is part unicorn and part pegasus. Her name is Princess Celestia. She was walking down the streets of Canterlot in the rain and walked into a doughnut shop. Inside the shop was an earth colt with a white hat, a brown mane, and a doughnut cutie mark. His name was Doughnut Joe. His eyes opened wide seeing the princess here and he shook off the shock, and said "What will it be Princ----?". He looked at her up closely as she walked up to the counter in pain. He saw that she was scratched up quite a lot. He asked "How did this happen to you Princess Celestia?” Excuse me I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s look at how this all began. Our story begins in the Canterlot Library. Princess Celestia was walking into a section of the library that was the history of Ponyville, The Crystal Empire, Canterlot, Everfree Forest, and Equestria. There were many books and ponies sitting on benches reading books. One colt had a blue mane that was wild. It was curly and booft up sorta like an afro. His body was a midnight blue, the color of his eyes were a calm lime green with a bit of a panicked look in his eyes. His cutie mark was a quill and parchment scroll, the quill’s feather was red and the parchment scroll had a red wax seal on it. He looked around the room, shaking nervously a bit, then said unknowingly out loud "His power, I feel his power, he will return". Everypony heard what he said but shrugged it off thinking he was crazy or odd. Then a gray mare with a beautiful black mane, with a light purple treble clef cutie mark, wearing a white collar bow tie around her neck, walked up to him accompanied by a white mare with dark and light blue highlights in her mane and tail wearing purple shades and a double note cutie mark, "Come on Octi he's just a crazy colt, look at his eyes". Octavia said to Vinyl Scratch "He is not crazy, something does rather feel odd and I wish I knew how to explain it", the blue colt said to her "is it like a dark feeling? A feeling of fear? Something out of place but you can't quiet put your hoof on it?". Octivia said "Yes, that’s exactly the feeling I’m getting. Do you know what’s going on?" she asked. "Yes, it is him, He will return and when he does, the first thing he is going to do is rule over Equstria, then rule over every part where ponies, pegasi, unicorns, and alicorns live. He must be stopped. We must prevent his return". Octavia asked "Who are you?". He looked at her and said "There are two things about me. First I am Equestria's historian, second my name is Penmanship Pembroke". Octavia thought who is he? Penmanship moved closer to Octavia and whispered to her something, She responded loudly "Really?" He said to her, "shhh" and went on saying "yes and if you can, if you both can get out of here, go and find a safe place". With that, all three of them left the room, leaving Princess Celestia looking over the books on the shelves, She placed her hoof on a red book with gold bands and a blank title. Her horn glowed a light yellow and it surrounded the book, causing it to slide out of shelf and float over to the table. She blew off the dust that the book had collected over the years. The red cover had faded and the gold still sparkled. It had not rusted or deteriorated. Princess Celestia opened the book and read the first page, it was dated 1300 Tuesday, September seventh. A new royal heir has come to this castle. We the council, are concerned about what will happen if this new heir does not take rule and continue the bloodline of royalty. She closed the book and put it back on the shelf. She was in a state of shock and whispered to herself "It can't be him".
Chapter Two That Fateful NightView OnlineKing Sombra's ResurrectionChapter Two That Fateful NightIn a flash of lightning, everything changed, and went back to that stormy night. The year is 1300, September seventh. Rain was pouring down, and the sky was dark, not a star or moon was in sight. A carriage being pulled by a pony was heading to a huge stone castle. The outside of the castle was drenched, but not flooded. The carriage pony driver yelled to the pony pulling the carriage, “Stop!” And the carriage halted to a quick stop forcing the mysterious pony inside to be thrown forward. He got back up on his hooves and rubbed his head, feeling for any bumps or bruises. The carriage driver pony yelled “Sir, are you alright?!” A deep voice came from within the carriage saying “I’m fine just open the door and let’s get inside my castle”. With that the driver opened the door. The colt was wearing a long black cloak. It hid his whole face and body. He walked up to the castle gate, where a guard was standing on the left and on the right was another guard pony. The guard ponies were like a mirror. The guard pony standing on the left said, “Welcome home sire. The portcullis will open up now”. The guard pony held up his sword and waved it to signal the pony that opened and closed the gate. The pony nodded, as he turned a huge wooden wheel with spokes. Chains rattled as the metal gate raised up, and stopped with a clang which echoed. The cloaked pony walked up to the wooden doors and opened them with his hooves. The room inside was huge and beautifully designed with columns, chandeliers, gold torches, a long red carpet. It also contained a gold throne with gems of all colors and types embedded in it, and a cushion that was soft and red. He walked on the long red carpet which, started from the entrance of the castle and stopped at the throne. As he walked down the red carpet, he took off his black drenched cloak, and looked at the banners that were blue and grey with dust on them. He pointed his black horn on the banners that draped from the ceiling and from the columns. They were surrounded by a black and green glow that changed from blue and gray. Like paint, the black color, slid down the banners and then followed by red that had soaked in the center of each banner. He grinned and muttered to himself, “Better and newer. The old banners were boring, fading away, and starting to shred, and rip apart. They were old”. He continued walking towards the throne and finally sat down, where a gold crown was placed by a priest pony that blessed the crown before it was put upon his head. The crown changed shape and color, and as it did, the gold color was now black with a ruby in the center of it.

Chapter Ten An End To Sombra’s PowerView OnlineKing Sombra's ResurrectionChapter Ten An End To Sombra’s PowerSombra was taken by Pembroke dragging him to Celestia who was in the crowd of ponies. The spell Pembroke put on her faded quickly. She looked at Pembroke and said “You look awful, will you be ok?.” The blue unicorn was scratched up all over. His mane was more wild looking then before. He said, breathing heavily “I will be alright. These wounds will heal over time. I brought you a gift”. He turned around, showing who was being dragged. “Sombra you’re days as being king are over. From this day forth, all power you have will be stricken”. Pembroke took Sombra to the Canterlot Prison. Days passed by and Pembroke said, “Princess Celestia, where can we put him where his power can never rule or be used?” Princess Celestia said, “We will take him to a cold place far from here. There he will remain”. Pembroke nodded and went to grab Sombra. They traveled in the snow and icy weather. Celestia’s horn glowed light yellow, surrounding the land in front of them. The ground opened and Pembroke threw Sombra in the ground. Sombra tried to escape but the ground quickly closed on him. Celestia and Pembroke headed back to Canterlot Castle and Pembroke asked, “Will his powers return in time later on?” Celestia said, “I don’t know, but if it does, I know a student and her friends who will stop him, if that should happen.
