Chapter 6 The Visioning Dream

Barry had been tired from various activities throughout the day, from Celestia probing his mind to Chrysalis teaching him some basic magic which had depleted almost all of his energy. He laid on the couch while Chrysalis slept on top of him peacefully.

(Dream)

"Whoa, where am I",
I looked around not noticing my surrounding as everything started to change until I became aware of where I was, I was in a forest and there stood a creature just behind the trees. His eyes were glowing a Yellowish glow and they were fixed on me. "Who are you", I asked? "What are you?" His eyes looked like they could pierce your soul.

"I am part of you, the evil in you", it said. "I have been with you, your whole life but I have been suppressed for so long until today when something broke the bounds that held me down. I am can look like whoever you like."

"So let me get this straight, you're the demon that lives inside me", I asked?

"Yes", said the demon. "So I know all about you" smirking, "but I don't even have a name".

"Hmm ok, well how about Hostility"?

"I like it since most of my chains are broken, I will be able to influence you more (Hostility started to smile evilly.) I hope you're ready to get angrier that you have ever been. It's been so long since I was imprisoned and now to be almost free it's beautiful!!!! Thank You."

(Princess Luna entered the dream by a spark of light).

"Hi Barry........um what's that Barry.... "She was looking at Hostility. "Barry get back now", Luna demanded.

"Why Luna", I asked her while I stood next to the demon Hostility. "I think when I got these magical abilities, I set him almost free. I think he is wanting to play", smiling.

"Barry be careful I need to get my sister Celestia." (She left quickly.)

"Barry can I have some fun when they come back", said Hostility. "I also know that you are able to manifest objects and bring them into the real world."

Just as Barry was going to reply Luna and Celestia appeared in front of them and Luna looked a little worried while Celestia stood there looking at the demon Hostility.

"So you're the demon that has been hidden deep within Barry, why are you here now all of a sudden," Celestia demanded. Her horn glowing waiting on the demon to make a move.

"I'm here because, magic was the key to my part of my release, now all I need is to figure how to get the rest freed". (started to walk towards them, and as he walked out of the forest, he stood eight foot tall, humanoid (Doom3 Hellknight). Luna and Celestia took several steps back, While Barry stood there observing everyone.

"Hostility, stand down", I said. He did as I told him and I knew that he had to obey me for the time being.

"Barry, how did you do that", Luna asked? "I've never seen a mortal being able to control a Demon like that. I've seen many demons but never a demon like this one."

"If he ever gets out into Equestria, we will be forced to turn him into stone like the other demons in the royal garden", said Celestia. Luna had nodded in agreement.

Hostility looked at Celestia, "weren't you going to turn Barry into stone yesterday? Also I can see everyone else's demons Luna's especially." I walked over to her, "I see that your demon in you is always trying to get you become evil again, isn't the demons name Nightmare Moon?"

"How do you know about her", asked Luna?

"Well I can see other demons, that's the perk of being a demon", said Hostility. "The only pony here I haven't seen a demon is that pony .... Fluttershy. Chrysalis's demon even likes me lol, but she's is being suppressed big time like I once was. "

Luna looked at her sister, "what do we do, I'm a little scared? That test of yours somehow partly released him. Who knows what he'll do if gets out. "

"Time will tell sister", and they vanished.

As I realized the two ponies left and Hostility was enjoying himself (boasting about himself), I turned the dream to a beautiful beach and laid down in a chair watching the crystal clear waves move into shore. "Ahh the only way to relax." I watched as the demon look around at the new surroundings.
"Go release your anger out here where you are safe and you can do this every night when I dream we are at the beach. "

"Thank you", said Hostility. He started to run around destroying everything in his path, what ponies were there were brutality mutilated and killed. Barry knew that he was having a field day. He went and killed everyone on the beach except Barry who was reading a book and Chrysalis who was in a chair next to him asleep. There was blood everywhere on the beach, even the water had turned blood red tint to it. Walking to Barry, "thank you for the release, it felt good to stretch my legs again, I'm good for a few days now."

"Ok" said Barry," well I'd better get Chrysalis to the bed", shaking the Hostility's hand and everything started to change as he started to wake up.

(Awake)

I opened my eyes and looked around at my surroundings, I was still laying on the couch, clock said two A.M. Chrysalis was still sleeping on top of me.

"Chrysalis, wake up just enough so that I can get you into the bed". I saw her sleepy eyes wake up and I led her to the bed and she laid down on top of the bed and took both pillows and went back to sleep. "Hmm, oh well", she can have it for the night and crawled under the covers and laid there.

(4 months later)
Over the past four months nothing happed really, Barry had finally gotten the house fixed up, Chrysalis was about five months pregnant, she even had a little bulge in her belly that was noticeable. Barry was getting better at his magic studies, as he was able to levitate objects, force fields, and a few others, but he was currently learning how to transportation spells. Barry was enjoying Chrysalis teaching him magic but with each new spell he learned, Barry quickly knew that each time he learned new spells, he was slowly changing, his mind and attitude.

It was in the middle of June and the temperature was around 82 degrees, sunny day and not a cloud in sight. Birds were singing all around and everypony was at a festival in the middle of the town. I had been working with AJ at Sweet Apple Acres finishing the mornings chores. Big Mac had already filled the barrels with apples and I loaded the barrels into the wagon. It was about 11:30 when I had gotten the last barrel into the barn and moved the wagons to the shed. Big Mac pulled me to the side after I put the barrel of apples down and I followed him away from Aj, and Applebloom.

"Thanks", said Big Mac. "I have a question for you Barry and I'm kind of embarrassed. "

"Sure ok", I told him. "What's on your mind?"

"Well Barry, I like Miss Cheerilee, and well... I... umm.. would like to take her out to the festival ..."

"Cool, well tell me what does she like, or any info that you can give me, and I'll do whatever I can to help you".

"Umm well, she's nice helpful, and a teacher.", said Big Mac. "Let me get AppleBloom since she's a student of Cheerilees".

As Big Mac left Barry's house, Barry went outside and went to see Miss Cheerilee, who was outside her house and was doing some gardening .

I looked around and saw no one around Cheerilee and I walked up to her, "Hi Miss Cheerilee, how are you today?"

"Oh hello Barry, how are you today", asked Cheerilee?

"I'm doing good", I replied. "You have a pretty garden , also my friend is shy and he wanted me to see if I could get you to go the festival with him?"

"Oh is it Big Mac, (I was shocked that she got him on the first guess) sure I'd love to go with him," Blushing. "Oh, I'm so excited, thank you Barry for the wonderful news, I must get ready for tomorrow then." She ran inside and shut the door fast.

"Hmm now it's time to go find Big Mac". It took about fifteen minutes to find where he was, but I eventually found him outside his house raking a few leaves in the front yard. "Hey Big Mac what's up? "

"Nuthen much", he told Barry. "So what can I help you with"? He raised his eyebrow.

"Your set up for tomorrow with Miss Cheerilee". (His eyes widened)

"How did you do that so fast, he asked? "

"Well Mac, I believe that she likes you, so you are pretty lucky. Well you have fun tomorrow at the festival, I got to get back home before somepony gets cranky". I left Mac with his thoughts.

When Barry got home, he noticed that Chrysalis was eating a sandwich. She turned her head and saw that I was home and the ran up to me and asked where I had been. I told her that I had been helping Big Mac to get a date for the festival tomorrow. She said ok, are you ready to practice your magic skills? (I've not told her about Hostility yet, right now I thought it wasn't the best time to introduce him to her.)

"Sure Chrisy, is there a spell to make a pair of wings for me so we can both fly"? I asked her.

"Hmm well there is this one spell but it's too advanced for you", she said sadly. "How about we use the transportation spell I taught you and go to Canterlot?"

"Ok sure", I said, and Chrysalis had transformed into her human form and her belly was just a little bigger than her original form. "Are you ready sweetie?" She nodded in agreement and I had cast my spell and we found ourselves in Canterlot. For some odd reason we found ourselves in the throne room and Celestia and Luna were looking at us both shocked and puzzled.

"Hello you two, what brings you here", asking Celestia?

"Um just practicing magic and we were supposed to teleport on the outskirts of the castle, not in the throne room", I told her. (Luna giggled.)

Well Barry, saying Celestia, at least your trying to use magic, which is a good start. Barry, what's wrong with your left palm and I saw the cutie mark of the gear and it was rotating as if it was in part of a machine. Barry, I've never seen a cutie mark do anything like that before. I'd like it if you and Chrysalis would stay for a few days while we examine this.

I looked at Chrysalis and she was looking at me.

"Um Celestia are you going to keep me away from here since well you know back then a few years ago?"(She was referring to the time when she took Princess Cadence's place and tried to take over Equestria.)

"I think you are ok to stay with Barry this time, but please Chrysalis, follow me, I'd like to talk to you". (Chrysalis gulped in fear.)

"Thank you Princess Celestia", Chrysalis ran to Barry and gave him a hug and kissed him and went with Celestia.

As Chrysalis and Celestia left the throne room to a door to the right. Luna grabbed Barry's hand and took him to a room with a Moon shape stitched onto the bed, which must of been her room. She shut the door after I followed her in.

"Barry, I need to know what kind of demon is in you when me and Celestia were in your dream the other night?"

"Well, I gave him the name Hostility. He's pretty nice to me but, just don't enter my dreams on Thursday, please don't ask and just take my word". Luna nodded in agreement." So what did Chrysalis mean back in the throne room, just curious?"

"Well Barry, A few years ago she tried to take over Equestria. She almost got away with it until Twilight Sparkle had found the real princess that she had replaced and she and her future husband who was Twilight's brother used their magic to banish her from the kingdom, but since you found her she had been un banished for some reason. I'm glad your with her because she has always been a real threat to us, by feeding off our love. But I don't understand is that when she feeds off pony love we grow very week and sick, while nothing happens to you, It's like you just shake it off. "

"Ok Luna, thank you for that little bit of info. I'm sure you won't probably have to worry about her returning evil, she's been getting clumsier each week from being pregnant. I just don't understand how interspecies breeding is possible, I mean sure she can change her form but still she has pony DNA, while I am human and have human DNA. "

"Barry, there is so much that you need to learn, Equestria is full of mysteries. Almost anything can happen here. I bet your little one will be perfect no matter what he or she looks like. Is your little one a colt or a filly?"

"To be honest I don't know. I know she's a little over 5 months pregnant but she never told me. I do wrap my arms around her and put my ear to her belly to see if I can hear anything, if anything Chrysalis is going to make a great mom, I just hope I can be a good father to the little one". (Luna put her hoof around my shoulder.)

"Barry I'd know you'd make a good father", said Luna, cheerfully. "You are kind, helpful, and never give in," she boasted." Hey lets go get some lunch, I'm starved, how about you"?

"Sure Luna, I could go for some fries, " I said. We left her room and went to the banquet hall where there was food laid out on the table and we sat together and started to eat the food which was on the plates. My plate had French fries and broccoli and boy were they good. Luna had hay which they looked like bacon strips. She had offered me one but I gracefully declined, since I didn't eat hay but I let her have a piece of my broccoli, after a few seconds she gobbled up the rest of my broccoli. (I didn't realize that she was that hungry. )
After they finished eating, Celestia and Chrysalis came into the hall and sat on the opposite side of the table in front of me and Luna. The two used their magic to lift the lids off the plate revealing that Celestia had the same plate I had and Chrysalis had what Luna had.

"So what did you two do while we had our talk", asked Celestia curiously? (Chrysalis looked at them also waiting to hear what they did.)

"We talked like you, and I asked him to perform some of the magic that he was able to do. And his Cutie mark had stopped spinning." (Barry looked at his palm and sure enough it stopped.)

"Well Luna, Barry, I'm glad you guys are having fun . ^_^ . " Celestia then turned to Chrysalis, "well I hope you enjoy your stay" and she walked out with one of her attendants.

"So Chrysalis, what would you like to do", asked Luna. Barry had gone over to her and took Chrysalis's hand and held it smiling.

"How about we go swimming," replied Chrysalis.

"Sure," I told her," but where are we going to go?"

I grabbed Barry's hand and we went to the river. I knew this was going to be fun. As we headed towards the river, I noticed that no one was around the river. "Yay we get the whole river to ourselves", I said, cheerfully.

I was keeping up with Chrysalis when we finally reached the river, it was a wide river and was not moving at a reasonable pace, I was kind of worried that the current would be too fast. I noticed that Chrysalis had let go of my hand and she was already getting into the water, I took off my shirt and headed into the water behind her. "HOLY MOLY, this water is freezing cold."

"Well Barry what did you expect", Chrysalis said, "we are on a mountain river." I saw Barry was shivering as his surfaced from the water. "Are you ok sweetie?"

"The water is cold!" As I replied to her. Shivering as I treading water. I knew that I would not last in the ice cold water and surly realized it when ice started coming down from up river. I quickly got out of the freezing water as fast as I could and started to sneeze.

"Barry are you ok?" Bless you as he continued to sneeze. "I hope you don't get sick sweetie", replied Chrysalis as she continued to swim in the water.

"I'll be fine, you go ahead and keep on swimming and I'll watch you from the bank". I laid down and watched he have her fun in the water for a couple of hours, then she got out and laid next to me and she was very cold but it didn't seem to bother her any. I stroked her long mane.

A royal guard came running up, "MISS Chrysalis you and Barry are needed back at the castle now. Something has happened and maybe you can shed some light. "(He left)

"Come on Barry grab my arm and we will teleport to the castles gates. " (Barry grabbed her Hoof)
She used her teleportation spell and we appeared in front of the Canterlot Castle. They ran inside bumped into Twilight, Barry had tripped over Spike and fell to the floor.

"I'm ok", as I got myself up from tripping over Spike, I looked around and everyone vanished like no one was ever there. "Hello where did you guys go?" As I walked around the castle I found no pony anywhere, not even the guards. I started poking my head in random rooms looking for somepony but never found anyone. "What in the Hell is going on here," I yelled. I poked my head out a window and noticed that there was nopony outside either, this is getting strange and weird. I ran throughout the palace, still nothing. All of a sudden I saw that the door at the end of the hallway started opening. "Hello who's here", I asked nervously? All of a sudden Hostility walks into the room and notices me and walks towards me. "Hey Hostility, do you know why no one is here in the palace?"

"That's easy" said Hostility. "When you tripped over Spike you flew through a window into the royal gardens and are out cold", smiling. "Your inside your head right now as I've been giving you generous amount my energy so that you can recover quickly".

"Thank you, Hostility. It means a lot. So we are in my dream.... why can't I change it or anything."

"That's because you're in a medical induced coma for the time being until they can mend your broken legs... With all this magic you would think that they could fix anything in an instant. "

"Yea so, (I put a devious grin on my face) how about we do something fun?"

"Barry, I like that grin what do you have in mind?"

"Well lets go to the armory first then I'll tell you the rest". As we made way to the armory, we still didn't see anypony and I opened the door and tossed Hostility a Broadsword and a ax, while I took a regular sword and a bow and arrow. "Well you ready to go destroy something"? (Hostility was shocked to see the beautiful weapons that were in his hands and nodded happily.)
The two went down and started to break everything in sight. A vase here and a table there, we had fun destroying things. While we were destroying things the whole room started to fill with Chrysalis's, Twilight's voice.

(Twilight and Chrysalis talking with the nurse)

"Will he be ok?" Asking Chrysalis, looking sad.

"I'm so sorry Chrysalis", Twilight said as she put Spike on her back for the duration of the day. "He's lucky that he missed that cactus down there or otherwise I believe that he would of been far worse." (I tried to calm Chrysalis the best I could because of her pregnancy but was having a hard time so I called in the nurse.) She reassured that Barry was going to be alright, and he might wake up later and I'll release him to you to take back to your home back in Ponyville.

No one knew that Barry could hear them as they talked which wasn't a bad thing but made him sad since he could not relay them a message that he's ok.

"So Twilight," asked Chrysalis. "Do you have any idea why Celestia and Luna summoned here so quickly, and where are they anyways"...... she asked.

"Well something from the past as risen and Celestia wants Barry to open the door that just rose out from under the surface in your backyard".

....." Door? Backyard....? Sorry but I'm not following exactly," saying Chrysalis.

(Back in Dream)

"What door behind the house", I wondered to myself. ..." I don't have any idea what they are talking about"... I looked as Hostility but he was having the time of his life right now destroying things. "Man I wish I could wake up right about now so I can see what all the commotion is about". (Looking at my hands) "Hey where did my cutie marks go?" I was getting pissed off now and I wanted out of this coma ..... punched the wall as hard as I could and I knew instantly I should of not done it because my right hand was hurting all over. I decided if I was going to be stuck in here I'm going to sleep in peace and went to Celestia's room and laid on the bed. "Man this bed is so comfy", I thought to myself. I looked and saw a folder on her nightstand which said stately on it, "For Celestia's eyes only. I rolled my eyes and took a look inside. (Eyes widening) "Holy shit, she has my life profile since the day I arrived to this weird planet. It was a TO-DO LIST". I quickly scanned it and quickly folded the envelope into my back pocket.

(Chrysalis and the nurse.)

"So there's nothing we can do to wake him up already, I want to ..... "(broke down crying.)

"Well there are these magical sleeping salts but they haven't been properly tested and there might be some side effects", said the nurse.

"Give them to me please", asking Chrysalis, "I want him up already and then we can treat him while he is awake, it's my fault for this accident and I want to tell him sorry already."

As the nurse handed Chrysalis the bag of smelling salts, the smell of the salts could wake the dead. Chrysalis took the salts and held them under Barry's nose. Nothing happened right away and after a few minutes Barry had started coughing and Chrysalis moved the salts away. Barry had put his hand to his head rubbing his eyes.

"Uhh where am I and what smells like decaying dirty socks". Just as I had said that Chrysalis gave me a huge hug and started to kiss me endlessly.

"I'm so sorry Barry, said Chrysalis. We should of walked back to the palace, then you would of never tripped over Spike and Twilight and would of fell out of the window. I had no intentions of leaving his side this time. "

"Did you figure out why Celestia called us back to the castle yet"? Looking around and I felt something poke me from my back pocket and realized that I had that folder still on me from the dream.

"No she went to her room and after a few minutes she ran out saying that her folder was missing. (Oh SHIT thought Barry) She is running around in her room looking for it.

I sat up and moved my legs to the floor while the nurse was telling me I needed to rest and lay back down. I ignored her warnings and tried to stand up, I was ok for a few seconds until I just fell back on the bed. "Dang well can Chrysalis just push me in a wheelchair"?
The nurse agreed and brought a wheel chair and Chrysalis pushed me where Celestia was running around tearing up her room.

"Celestia", yelled Chrysalis, "we are here as you requested". Celestia turned her head and walked over to them.

"Well Barry how are you feeling," asked Celestia? "Sorry about the mess, I lost something and I am having a hard time finding it. It was a binder but no worries. Barry a structure appeared outside of your house in the backyard and I need you to go down and see if it's safe and what it is, maybe you could restore the power if possible so we can see, but first please rest and regain your strength, I don't know how you managed to not seriously hurt yourself after a 2 story fall but I can see your one tough person."

"Umm Celestia while was out cold, me and .... were all alone in the Castle and no one not even a guard was around and we went looking around and I found this folder on the ground", (pulls the folder out of his back pocket and handed it to her, her eyes went big and wide with fear.)

"How did you...... Celestia was in shock just as much as was Chrysalis. Did you look inside of this Barry?"

"No, just happened to wake up before I had a chance to read it" (lying).

"Ok Barry good now go off and get some rest". Celestia turned around and walked off.

Chrysalis pushed Barry to the room that was set for them and he slowly got into the bed. He had a little annoyed look on his face. Chrysalis saw that and she began to wonder if Barry had actually read what was in the folder.

"So Chrysalis, did I hear Celestia correctly? Something popped up in our backyard?" (She nodded). Hmm and I fell asleep.

I smiled as I watched my sweet Barry sleep and she laid down next to him and I put my hoof around him. Smiling because Barry was ok, she laid her head on him, (I'm six months pregnant and only got five more months to go.) I finally went to sleep.

The next morning after Celestia finished her Briefing with Barry and Chrysalis they were allowed to go home and report the findings on the door in the backyard. They took the 4 hour train ride home and Barry didn't realize how exhausted he was when he made it to the front door of their house. Chrysalis had caught him about three times till she make him lay down on the couch and rest for a bit , but it turned out to be FOUR solid days he laid there passed out.

"Barry please wake up"... cried Chrysalis. I had been trying to wake him up for the past 2 days and with no success. I had to get Twilight Sparkle from her house and see if she could help me at with trying to wake him up.

"Chrysalis, you said he's been asleep for four days", asking Twilight? (I took down notes down as she told me. " I DONT GET IT. How does someone just sleep like that, you said he hasn't done it before right and" Chrysalis nodded. "Hmm well hopefully he wakes up soon". I decided to stay with Chrysalis and monitor Barry every three hours but nothing happened until around 3 in the morning when I went to check on him and noticed that he wasn't in the couch and started to look for him. "Chrysalis, wake up, Barry's gone ," Twilight said as she tried to wake the changeling who was sleeping peacefully.

I awoke when Twilight said that Barry's gone. "But how..... he's been on the couch for the past four days ... maybe he went to get water or something". (The two ponies headed downstairs and went into the kitchen and saw a glass that was by the fridge still half full and a banana peel that was on the ground, The Back door was OPEN.....)" Oh my," as I ran outside and say Barry stepping through the entrance of the object that had risen from the earth. (Barry's left hand, Cutie Mark of the Gear, was glowing as he stepped through and the door shut quickly as he entered.) " Barry, this is your fiancé Chrysalis please come out here, what's wrong"? (I started to bang on the door.

.........No answer from inside.........

Twilight went up too her, "didn't you notice his face?" He's sleepwalking," I just can't understand how he got inside that thing..."

(Barry Finally wakes up)

Pounding came from inside the door. "HEY WHERE AM I? Why are the lights off". I woke up in a weird place, I finally found a light switch and turned it on. (Looking around seeing that he was in some kind of fallout shelter, the radiation alarm system over the door gave it away.)

I looked around the shelter and found many documents but they were far too deteriorated for anyone to read, then my mouth dropped as soon as I saw the American flag that was hung on the wall. "An American Fallout Shelter??? here??? But this is a different world unless......................
............ Unless I am way in the future ....... " I turned franticly and found a computer and turned it on after blowing the I don't know how many years of dust . After the computer started up (which I didn't think would turn on) and data logs started popping up at least a few thousand of them. I opened the last message and it started to play.

November 12, 2045
Sir we are running low on supplies and we need to surface the escape hatch so we can get out of here before we die on here (The voice was a young male).

No, as long as I'm the Head of this installation, we are not leaving said another voice. I can't allow anyone to leave, it would be deadly since all of the radiation that is outside.

MESSAGE CURRUPT....

Dam I wanted to know what happened, There was a Calendar on the computer and it read 9,17, 9910. Wait that can't be right... I checked another computer and it had the same date. I was over 7000 years in the future and it seems that I was the last planet or thinks.

To think after 7000 years this facility has survived and to think that ponies ruled the future. My mind was being to think question after question and I knew that I would only get about a few of them answered. By this time I knew that somepony was probably looking for me and I hit a button that said push to open door and the door opened and I walked through only to be tackled by Chrysalis and Twilight. "Hey sweetie, Twilight, umm what's up", I asked?

"You don't remember a thing," asked Twilight?

"Nope, I just remember waiting up in that old fallout bunker." As I walked towards them Twilight stuck her hoof on my forehead.

"Barry you are running a fever, come on inside and Chrysalis and I will take care of you. " As the two females dragged Barry to his bed one of them put an ice pack on his forehead and closed the door behind them. "Chrysalis let Barry rest some more and tomorrow I bet he will be fine.." Once the door was shut, Barry put the ice pack on the ground and went to sleep in the bed.

Author's Note

I found this chapter and I'm surprised I didn't put it on here sooner, also going to have to continue working on it now

Well, Barry found Celestia's memo , and now realized what was starting to happen but why??? why him? why now?
