The next morning I told Chrysalis that we needed to be in Canterlot in three days. She was nervous about going, but she understood that there was no getting around it. The next two days were just the same old routine, but after charging rings with Twilight, I began to work on repairing the old house slowly, mostly replacing broken and rotted boards with new boards.
It was 6:30 P.M., the night before we had to go to Canterlot and I was attempting to fix the leaky faucet in the kitchen. I thought that I fixed the sink but only to find out that I failed and the faucet started to shoot water everywhere. Chrysalis was laughing at me because I was soaking wet. I quickly got under the sink and shut the valve off that was controlling the water. Chrysalis was still smiling as she levitated a towel to me and I started to clean up the kitchen the best I could.
Thirty minutes later and 3 soaked towels drying in the bathroom.

"So Chrysalis, you ready for tomorrow"?

"No, Barry, also why is they summoning us anyway? We haven't done anything wrong, have we"?

"No sweetie, I don't really have a clue." (I really had an idea why but I wasn't going to speak.) But we have to catch the 9A.M. train tomorrow morning.

"Ok, also go take a shower and put some clean clothes on before you get sick", said Chrysalis. I put my hoof to my stomach for a few seconds ad sighed. An idea popped into my head and I thought it would be fun to scare Barry while he was in the shower. I turned into my human form and slowly followed him into the bathroom.

I turned the water on full hot and let the tub fill about halfway to the top then got in it. "Ahh this feels good." I started to drift off to sleep in the hot water because when I opened my eyes I say Chrysalis in her human form trying to get into the tub but I heard her say boy this waters too hot for me .

"Barry please add some cool water, so I can join you". I watched him add some cold water, as I got in it was just cool enough so that it was still hot and where I could get in there with him. Kissing his cheek, "thank you Barry." (Rats I almost scared him lol.) After I got into the tub with him, I added some bubble bath to the water and ran some warm water into the liquid as the bubbles had started come and then turned off the water as the bubbles started to overtake the tub.

"So Chrysalis, I see you like bubbles", chuckling.

"YEP" she said, cheerfully. I laid down against him and I noticed that he wrapped his arms around my waist.
I ran my hand through her long beautiful hair. I put shampoo in her hair and she squirmed a little as I tried to massage the soap into her scalp. I finally let her go and she rinsed the soap out of her hair.

"Yay, clean at last", I got out of the tub and dried myself off as Barry was now relaxing in the tub. "Come on Barry, hurry up", put on a eager face.

"Fine fine, I'll get out". After getting dressed, I found Chrysalis eating a sandwich at the table. I made one also and sat next to her and started to eat. I was just about halfway finished with my sandwich when Chrysalis took my hand and she led me into the living room and we sat on the couch. She leaned her shoulder on mine.

"Well Barry, I really don't want to go tomorrow but I guess I'm ready", kissing his cheek. "Well Barry, I think it's time for bed so we can get up in the morning", walking to the bedroom .

"Ok sweetie", getting up and heading back into the kitchen and finishing my sandwich, wash the dishes, and then heading into the bedroom where Chrysalis was laying in the middle of the bed trying to hog the bed.

"Hehe looks like I get the bed tonight to myself. Hey no fair", as Barry started to tickle her. I let Barry in the bed next to me. He tucked me in under the covers and kissed my cheek.

I watched her fall asleep, her long hair covered her eyes.... (closes eyes and zzzz.)

(Barry's Dream)

"Hey Barry," said Roger. "Are you going with Alan and his girlfriend Julie, Sarah and Dillian, me and a few others tonight to the movies to see "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" tonight"?

"Well, I get off work in a couple hours".

"Cool, I get off in an hour so, I'll see you there at 7:25".

"Ok Roger, see you there". I went back to work for the remainder of my shift replacing breakers. As my shift ended I saw Kevin hanging around Kelsey in the parking lot and asked them "what's new"?

"Nothing much", said Kevin, Kelsey and me are heading to the movies.

"Awesome me and a whole bunch of my friends are going to see the "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" in a couple hours, you should come with me and we all can go together", I said. We left and regrouped at the movie theater fifteen minutes before the movie started. I bought a jumbo popcorn with extra butter, and some candy and a medium Pepsi, while everyone else got what they wanted. I found my seat in the middle just as the lights dimmed and the commercials started. As the movie started to play, I watched, eyes never leaving the screen and trying to eat popcorn at the same time. Just as Quatarmain and Sawyer caught Hyde, everything froze. HEY WHO STOPPED THE MOVIE!!!!!!. I got up and looked around...." awww again".... I slouched in my seat and put my hoodie on quickly and froze as still as I could.

"Luna do you see him", asked Celestia? They looked around the theater. "Hmm, Luna go over there while I search over here."
I looked where my sister told me to search and I started to pull hoodies down when I found him. He's over here passed out.

"Hmmm Luna he shouldn't be sleeping while he is in his own dream right?"

"Yea, he should be awake Celestaia", said Luna.
Jumps up, "what's up Luna and Celestia". I laughed as they Jumped and stayed in the air. "What brings you to my humble dream?"

I looked at my sister Luna and then back at Barry. "Please don't do that again, we thought we were in the wrong dream, and then you come jumping out almost giving us an heart attacks."

"Yes Celestia, I won't try to scare you in the future. So what's up"?

"We just wanted to remind you that you and Chrysalis are expected to be in Canterlot tomorrow by lunchtime", said Celestia.

"I know, I know, we are heading out on the first train out. Plus I'm having to keep Chrysalis calm because she's scared of what you are going to tell her. Other than that, I've been repairing the house and currently was trying to fix the sink....."

Luna chuckled, "Barry so what have you been manifesting when you wake up", asked Luna?

"Mostly cheeseburgers Luna", said Barry.

"What's a cheeseburger they both asked at the same time"?

"Two pieces of bread, hamburger meat, cheese, and ketchup. I've known you've been watching me every night in my dreams trying to learn about me, which it would be easier if you just ask and let me tell you. "

"I ... I didn't know that you eat meat...." said Luna nervously. "We thought you were a herbivore."

"Nope, I'm an Omnivore, I eat both meat and plants". I watched as Celestia grew a little restless to know that I eat meat, while her sister was slowly backing away.

"Does Chrysalis know about this", demanded Celestia?

"Well she has seen me manifest it in my sleep and saw me eat it once. I really don't think that it bothers her, otherwise she would of said something about it...."

"Well Barry, we shall bid you a rest of a goods night sleep said the two princesses and they vanished."
(Awoke from dream)
I opened my eyes seeing that it was 1:30 in the morning, looking at Chrysalis who was still sleeping peacefully on her side of the bed and also noticed that I didn't manifest anything. I moved her hair that was covering up her face with my hand. She moved in the bed and smiled. I took her left hand and feel back asleep while holding her hand.
I woke up again at 6 A.M. and got dressed. I let Chrysalis sleep till 6: 30, and then had to wake her up and put her clothes on her since she stayed in her human form.

"I'm up Barry", trying to get out of bed as Barry was trying to help her put on her clothes. I continued to squirm as I tried to get out of the bed, but the smell of toast drew me to the kitchen and I munched down as I sat at the table eating half the toast. "Thanks for cooking Barry".

I saw her eating the toast, and I grabbed the last one before she could get it. "Well Chrissy, the train leaves in 15 minutes, I got your bag that you packed the other night".

"Barry, you don't have to carry my bag, I can get it. But thanks for taking it for me."

As we walked to the train station, We stopped by a field and picked some flowers and I placed them in Chrysalis's hair. I watched her smile and when we arrived at the train station, I got the tickets and we boarded the first car. I let Chrysalis have the window seat and I sat next to her. She laid her head against my shoulder and I let her sleep the whole ride up there. While Chrysalis was sleeping, the back door opened and I saw that Twilight and Spike walked in. (Quietly) "What are you guys doing here", I asked?

"Celestia told us to arrive today for something", said Twilight. Spike sat on the other side of Chrysalis looking out the window.

"Be careful Spike, she can get little grumpy when she wakes up", I told him.

"Twilight, why can't you transform like Chrysalis", asked Spike?

"Well Spike for one she is a changeling and second I like how I look already", said Twilight. "Also Barry, which of her forms do you like better"?

"Twilight, I told her just to be herself, it doesn't matter what is on the outside, but what's on the inside pointing to the heart. Just as I was telling them this", Chrysalis grabbed my hand.

"He's mine Twilight, go find your own husband", said Chrysalis.

"Sorry Twilight", I said, I didn't realize that she got jealous. "Chrysalis it's ok, there is no need for you to be jealous". Kissing her cheek, a smile came from her.

"I know Barry, but I just don't want anyone to try and take you away from me". (Looks at Twilight then back at Barry, my arms still around his.)

"Umm you don't have to worry about me stealing Barry from you", said Twilight. (She levitated Spike next to her smiling.)Spike was blushing as he put his claws around one of Twilights hoofs. "Hey look we are here"!!

"But why are there so many guards at the station", said Chrysalis? I was still gripping Barry's arm tighter.

"Well sweetie I bet they wouldn't recognize your human form so I bet you could walk right past them with me", smiling. I stood up and extended my hand to her, my other hand was holding her bag. She took my hand and got up and walked off the train with me, the guards looked at us but they didn't stop us and they went and searched the train. The four of us had were about halfway to the castle when one of the guards ran past us at full sprint. I looked at the buildings as we walked past, thinking these houses are pretty elegant. We finally reached the castle when a guard with a star on the middle of his breast plate ran up and hugged Twilight.

"Barry, this is my brother Shinning Armor, Armor this is Barry". He started to look me over then he looked at Chrysalis who was standing next to Barry.

"So Twili who's that with him, I had guards at the train station to escort Chrysalis but she wasn't there. Barry where is she?"

"Armor I see you don't recognize her", I told him, showing Chrysalis who was right next me. "She is right here but not in the form you know".

"Ahh I see," said Armor. "Well the princesses are expecting you two so please follow me, Twilight you and Spike go to the Library and I'll find you when I'm done with them."
As the two followed Armor into the castle, Barry was looking at everything closely. Chrysalis was holding Barry's hand nervously, remembering the last time she was here she had a motive to take control of Equestria but that was a few years ago. She remembered when Twilight had found the real Princess and that princess and Shining armor used their love to vanquish her.

"Barry... I.. I don't want to be here, please lets go... I have a bad feeling about this..."

"Chrissy, it will be ok", patting her shoulder gently, "I won't allow them to hurt you or our little one inside you, I promise." I smiled and we walked together into the throne room. As we entered Armor shut the doors behind us and we walked towards the thrones where Princess Celestia and Luna were sitting.

THE MEETING

"Good evening, Barry, Chrysalis", said Celestia and Luna.

"You two are probably wondering why you have been summoned here," said Celestia. "Well as you know Barry was brought into this world by an unknown force". (lying but they hid the lie pretty well)." Today we shall put you through a series of tests to see if your worthy of staying here in the land of Equestria or to be banished and never return". I saw that Chrysalis was very nervous with her biting her finger nails, while Barry had the WHAT THE HELL look on his face.

I stood there speechless, a test and possible banishment..... hmmm " ok so what is it you want me to do"? I stood there waiting, to see what my trials were going to be.

"Barry, I told you we shouldn't have come here," saying Chrysalis. But she knew that they would of forced them to be here if they didn't come.

"Miss Chrysalis please follow me", said Luna. I went to her and led Chrysalis away from Barry they went into a different room.

"Well Barry, it's just you and me know", said Celestia. "So are you ready to begin Barry?"

"Sure let's just get this over with", I told her. I watched her come over to me, her horn glowing and I tried my best to shield my mind but she was stronger.

"Please don't shield your mind", when I finally broke into his mind, I started to look for anything magical about him which was part of the first test. Barry's mind was like a computer, after figuring out how to find memories, I was able to locate specific memories. I was able to find a few memories but they weren't nothing too unusual, but as she was about to give up on it a memory popped up out of nowhere so she decided to see too see out of curiosity.
(MEMORY)
(This memory is 2 years before he started working in the power industry.)

"Hey Barry, you have the right amount of cars that we need to take with us to the coaling plant," asking Henry, the Locomotive engineer?

"Yea I got the right amount of train cars attached". Climbed up into the locomotive, just as the train started to go forwards.

2 hours pass by then an announcement comes over the radio saying to get to the nearest rip track that there is a runaway train on milepost 33, Henry and Barry were just passing mile post 28.

"Dispatch location on the runaway train"? They just hit the into the mainline siding and left the train cars in there as they went back on the main line. "Dispatch do you read we are ready to catch your train".

"This is dispatch the train 999 is just passing milepost 30 are you in milepost 29, siding"?

"Sir we just left our cars in there but I got four locomotives ready to get down and stop that train no matter what the cost", said Henry.

"Well I need you off that line now and that is an order", said dispatch demandingly.

"Hey Henry, we need to match their speed if we plan on doing anything", I'm heading to the back of the last engine and I'll radio you when we start getting close.

"Ok Barry, but be careful", I told him. I watched Barry leave the front locomotive where I was located, man he is brave to be doing what he is about to do right now.

I was making my way to the back Locomotive and as I went to the end and I noticed that the train 999 was heading towards us fast. (Over the radio) Go a little faster please the train is getting closer and closer. I felt the engines get louder and as the train 999 slowly crept closer until they were only inches away from the four engines. "HENRY START TO APPLY THE BREAKS", I yelled. The sound of the trains breaks starting to squeal was hurting my ears as triple 9 rammed their train. Sending me into the side of the train, I was barely able to grab the chain railing that had stopped me from going over the side.

"Situation report Barry", saying Henry
(Radio)" All set and keep breaking".

I looked at my leg noticing that it had blood running down into my foot. "Henry, I did something to my leg but I'm going to continue to try and get across to the other train, over."

I hear you loud and clear Barry, be safe.

As Barry jumped across the train he landed on triple 9 and fell on the platform, he finally realized that his leg was broken severely in multiple places.
(Over the radio)

"Barry where are you, we are running out of time before we start hitting stations and we are being pushed. We are going to be hitting town after town so we have to hurry," Henry said panicking.

"Henry I'm on triple 9 but I broke my leg and I'm currently crawling to the door to get in". I slowly made my way to the door that led into the cab of triple 9. Just as I was able to open the door the train hit Henrys train causing me to fly into the cab.
(Radio)

"God dam Henry what's happening over there over"?

"We just lost our main breaks, all we have are the locomotives brakes, where are you"?

"Just got flown into the cab of the train and I hurt like you wouldn't believe," saying Barry. "Ok, I'm going to stop this baby now because I see that we are heading into the towns now."

"Roger that, want me to get a medic on standby," said Henry?

"Yes please, (acting like I wasn't in any pain)" I started to slide the throttle to neutral until it reached zero and hit the brakes. "Henry controls and brakes aren't responding.... I'm going for the fuel shut off."

"Be careful ," said Henry as he struggled with controlling the train.

As I now had to struggle to get out of the cab, I now had to lean over the side of the train and hit a small red button next to the gas tank. When I made it to where the fuel tanks,(still laying down on the footpath) I reached and hit the button. "Henry I hit the button you should have control soon."

"Roger that," said Henry. I applied the locomotive brakes again and the train rammed into their engine again.

(As the locomotive died from lack of fuel, the full force of the train kept it still in motion but Henry's locomotives were slowing it down, we were probably going almost 80 miles an hour. Henry had put the emergency brake on and the four locomotives in front, the wheels were sparking as the train was being pushed. Barry was laying on the platform as he couldn't walk anymore due to his broken leg, and the amount of pain he was also in.

"Barry where are you," said Henry. "We are under 60 and slowing."

"Awesome, I told him, but I could really use some Advil right now to ease the pain I'm in, this stupid train smashed my leg pretty bad, also where's that medic you promised (jokingly)?"

"They are not too far from us buddy, just keep hanging in there", he told me.

As the train finally stopped next to a road there were police and medics there cheering, I even noticed that there were news choppers flying overhead.

"Oh man, this is embarrassing" I thought, they saw the whole thing, seeing me crawl because of the broken leg. But to my surprise they were cheering and the medics came over to me and helped me off the train into the back of an ambulance and checked out my leg.
Within fifteen minutes of Barry getting his leg in a temporary cast, we was surrounded by the media and Henry was finally able to reach Barry as the media found him. All the reporters were trying to ask questions at the same time.

"Henry, you talk to them", said Barry. "I don't want to talk to them just right yet."

"Ok Barry," saying Henry. As Henry walked towards the media people and started to answer a few questions.

"How were you able to stop triple 9", asked a reporter?

"We used precision and teamwork to stop triple 9," said Henry.

"How did your partner get that train stopped"? asked another reporter.

"Well you will have to ask him, I just controlled the lead train and helped brake. I'm sorry to say that Barry's about to head out to get his leg checked and fixed by a doctor."

(Meanwhile with Barry)
I was in the ambulance being taken to the hospital, and just as the we arrived to the hospital there was a black SUV that had the railroad company's logo on it. Three men greeted me, as I was being taken to the X-ray room. They said thank you for stopping triple 9 and you must of been crazy to pull a stunt off like that. I had a two days to give them my report on how Henry and me pulled it off.
(Two days later)
I handed my boss my report that he asked for and it was two and a half pages. They allowed me to give my report to the media but asked me to keep a few details out.

(Memory Ended)
Celestia was shocked as she let go of Barry's mind. He and his partner had almost sacrificed themselves to stop a train that could of killed thousands of people. He might not have magic or the ability to fly but he has a huge heart to risk his life for many people. I might have misjudged him after all. But he's not safe in this world without anything...

"Uhh, Celestia what did you do, uhh my head," I said. I put my hand to my head. I decided to sit down as I started to feel lightheaded.

"Your ok Barry", said Celestia. "I just went through a few of your memories too see how you were when you were back on your own planet and I am very surprised, I've haven't found a pony in a long time that did the things like you did, breaking orders in order to prevent many lives from being lost. Yes I saw the memory of triple 9. Now please, I am currently interested in hearing from you about your time here in Equestria so far? Also how far are you willing to go to protect somepony's life?"

Well Celestia, at first I was confused since I woke up in the hospital, barley escaped and fled into the woods scared and confused when all I saw was ponies and no humans. Then I ran into Chrysalis who for some reason, I didn't feel afraid around her and I don't know but I guess we just bonded and here we are today.... and the rest has been pretty good, working at Sweet Apple Acers for half a day then the rest of the day I am working for Twilight. Lately I've been slowly trying to repaint the house and do a little maintenance on it as well. Lastly, just trying to get ready when Chrysalis is due ...

"Due,.... what do you mean by that" asked Celestia? "Is there something wrong with her?"

"Well .... she's pregnant and I remember telling you this a few days ago...."

"I'm sorry Barry, I've must of forgotten," she said. "How long is she?"

"Well I've been here for almost 3 weeks... so she's at least two weeks into it. Also to answer your second question I'd take a bullet to protect anyone no matter what because, I'm sure somepony would do the same for me". (Closes eyes as a neon green mist surrounds himself.)

"What is happening ", Celestia thought. She watched the mist circling Barry's body making him glow and a bright light came out of nowhere blinding everypony in the room. As the dust settled Barry was laying on the ground with his palm s glowing a bright neon green. "Barry are you ok", asked Celestia?

"Uh, I'm fine, umm why are my hands glowing and why did you tattoo my palms", I asked confused?

"Barry, I didn't do anything you did this to yourself, and that's magic that's surrounding your hands." She walked up to Barry and looked at his palms seeing a Neon green, gear on his left palm and on his right palm a shield . "Hmm interesting apparently it seems that you just got your cutie marks. Well it's official now you can stay here in Equestria now since it apparently you found your special talent. How about we go see how Luna and Chrysalis are doing, shall we "?

"Sure I said", she opened the door to where Luna and Chrysalis were sitting. I could see that chrysalis had been crying since there was a puddle of water around her. "Cheer up Chrysalis, Celestia said I could stay because of this, (showing her his palms.)"

Chrysalis jumped into Barry's arms, excited to see him. "What's with the green glowing from your hands sweetie?" She opened his hand to discover the marks on his palms, her eyes started to drop a few tears, "you got your cutie mark, I'm very happy for you Barry and also happy I get to keep you", kissing him on his cheek. "I thought they were going to take you away from me", she said as the tears started to flow.

"Well Chrysalis, you're going to have to start teaching me how to use magic," I told her smiling and she agreed.

Twilight and her friends entered and stopped as they saw the glowing from Barry's hands, they thought that Celestia was going to banish him or worse.

"Celestia, please don't hurt him", said Twilight. The six ponies ran over to them.

"Twilight, he's passed the test and I'm not causing that magic that's on his hands, that's his own magic. Don't ask me how but its magic."

Twilight took Barry's hand and looked at them his left palm looked like the tattoo on his shoulder, while his right palm had a shield. "Two cutie marks.... how? ....."

"Twilight, I'd like you to teach him how to use and control his magic please," said Celestia. "Well Me and Luna must me off you eight have fun and congratulations Barry". (Luna ran and gave Barry and Chrysalis a hug and then went back off to her sister and left the room.)

I noticed that my magic aura was almost the same color as Chrysalis's. I noticed after a few minutes that Chrysalis wasn't letting go from her hug, and the six ponies saw.
"You want to go home sweetie", asking her?

"I'd love too, but first come over here, and carry my clothes", I gave Barry my clothes as I transformed into my original old pony form.

I smiled, and ran my hand threw her mane (magic aura was gone now.) We all walked back to the train station, I noticed a lot of ponies were staring at me and Chrysalis but I didn't care because I got to stay here with my future wife and the little one she was carrying. I thought to myself for a bit she only gave me one or two test out of the original four.... hmmm.
They all reached Barry's and Chrysalis's and after an hour of talking to Twilight and their friends, they left leaving Barry and Chrysalis to themselves.

"So Barry, what kind of magic would you like to learn first"? Chrysalis said happily.

"Um I don't know but something easy first". I was not too sure about this but she wanted me to try and see what I could do. I knew I was probably not going to be able to do much, but I had agreed to try.

She smiled, "How about something easy, here catch this rock," she threw a rock towards Barry. She watched as Barry tried to catch the rock with magic but he was a second off and got hit on the head. "Are you ok Barry,? Let's try again." She tossed the rock this time and Barry moved his hand forewords and made a fist and the rock stood still and then exploded. (Her eyes went wide) Wow, even blew it up.

"Oh man that took a lot out of me," as I crashed on the couch. I didn't expect to use that much energy at all, I thought . I saw that Chrysalis (who was in her normal form) decided to lay on me, her fur was very soft and warm, her insect like wings were folded in and she laid her head on top of me as she fell asleep. I was so exhausted that I feel asleep quickly too.

Here is chapter 5, the story will be getting interesting now and right now the story can go anywhere so give me a prediction on where it should lead. Should Barry use his manifesting abilities to the fullest and now combined powers revolt or should he ...........
