The Chapter in Which Everything Happens
"No, that's impossible." Mr. Cake muttered, scratching his head. He pulled a pencil from behind his ear, letting out a sigh. He hated finding mistakes in finances.
He put the end of his dulled pencil to paper, tracing along the expenses line. Those were all correct, because he'd checked them a million times. They didn't change from year to year either. Cup had tried to do this stuff for him a couple years, and he'd kept her out of it. He knew it by heart, and he didn't want to have to deal with the differing style of his wife. When it came to finances, it was something he'd much rather do alone. That was probably why he was up an hour before opening once again.
It was kinda stupid, considering how little sleep he was already getting. Cup had been sick the last week, and while she'd gotten better a couple days ago, he still wasn't caught up on everything he'd missed. Chief among those things were finances, and he had to catch up. At least Cup would be around to help him open up shop, and make him feel like he was dealing with a regular number of customers again. Sugarcube corner had been so overwhelmed with ponies in the last week, although he assumed most of that was due to Cup's absence. Pinkie was gone a lot as well, so that didn't help.
Though with his lack of sleep, being around Pinkie could almost be irritating enough to cause death, so her absence hadn't been a total loss. Cake shook his head, trying to focus. He really needed a nap later today. He didn't feel very tired now, but that had a lot to do with the empty mug of coffee sitting to one side of his hoof.
He was halfway though miscellaneous expenditures, many of which were based on the twins. They were a hoof and a horn to take care of. He knew kids were expensive, but he felt like they were practically consuming every product that Ponyville produced. Even with that, he should be running a deficit, not a surplus…
But that was his second check, and he had. Every box was filled, and correctly at that. Carrot's jaw went ajar. He squinted. The numbers were all printed clearly and legibly. He felt every single emotion in his body turn on a dime, and his mouth stretched into a huge grin. It was impossible, but he'd done it nonetheless!
Carrot opened his mouth to yell and make merry, remembering a fraction of a second early that everypony was still asleep. In fact, it was almost opening time. Cup could sleep in, on a day like this.
Carrot nearly bounced into his kitchen, turning on the oven and beginning to make the treats he would have prepared to lay out underneath the counter. He was a few minutes short of the time he would need, but that didn't matter. He was in way too good a mood to worry about that.
He hummed to himself, time flying by as he arranged treat after treat. His first customer walked inside, and he beamed a smile that was almost reminiscent of Pinkie. She was off somewhere with her friends, but it almost felt like the good emotions she toted around had stayed.
"What can I get ya?" He asked.
"Just one of your finest cinnamon twists." The pony replied, laying a few bits on the counter. Carrot pulled a twist from under the counter, handing it to the pony. He worked through the first wave of customers quickly, finding the morning to occupy his time, yet not keep him overly busy. He thought he heard Cup coming down the stairs, but when he looked she hadn't yet appeared. Sometimes she could really sleep in.
But as he heard pans knocking lightly into one another a few minutes later, Carrot realized that his wife was finally around to help him. He wondered how he should celebrate. Maybe surprise her with the news after they shut down, have a nice romantic evening. They could go out to the park and set up a picnic, get somepony to babysit. He was sure he could find somepony on such short notice, especially if it was just dinner.
Carrot's eyebrows furrowed, and he walked over to the kitchen door. Cup was nowhere to be found. He wasn't sure if that made him feel disappointed or scared. Who'd been rattling pans? Surely not one of the twins, right? The kitchen was empty, so he wasn't sure.
Carrot heard his counter bell go off, and regretfully left the kitchen. He took care of the patron quickly, preoccupied with the idea that one of his foals was loose somewhere that they could get hurt. He hastily began making a sign that said when he'd be back, moving to set it down as another pony walked up.
"I'll be right-" He stopped mid sentence, jumping enough to run his hips into the counter. The pony took a step back, as Carrot's brain wrapped around what had just happened. He passed it off as just his imagination, deliberating long enough to hand the pony his food and watch him walk off.
"I saw the finances." Came a voice he immediately realized was Cup's. She sounded like she was under the-

"Sto-" He cut himself off, as another pony walked up. "What can I get for you?" He asked, subduing a twitch as he felt Cup continue her ministrations. He could've sworn he heard her launch, but he couldn't be sure.
"Just the usual." The pony said, and Carrot found it unbelievably tedious to recognize a pony and ignore his wife at the same time. She breathed on him, and a rear hoof slid slightly against the tiled floor.
"C-coffee and a scone?" He asked, feeling his length begin to grow. The pony seemed to mistake his stammer for hesitation, and Carrot reached under the class counter to his right to grab a scone, placing it on the counter next to a paper cup, which he quickly filled with coffee. He was hard by this point, and with the chance to talk to Cup, started immediately. "Can't we wait until after?" He asked, and he was sure she shook her head.

"Just a cupcake." He responded, pointing to the one he wanted. Carrot grabbed it and handed it over. Cup was still playing with him, and with a quiet giggle from her under the counter, Cup made up his mind. He grabbed the sign he was working on from earlier, wrote a fifteen on it, and nearly embedded it into the counter.
He took a couple steps back from the counter and grabbed Cup, dragging her along the floor before she could protest, and into the room behind their kitchen. She got to her hooves quickly and grinned. Her hoof poked into his chest.
"It's been a while since you came that hard." She teased matter-of-factly. "I didn't know I still had it in me."
"You're way too good at this stuff to just be the baker's wife." Carrot said with a grin, leaning forwards to kiss her. He pulled away a second later. "Like I'd let you have the last laugh anyway." He muttered huskily, before he turned their contact more heated. Carrot pushed at her, keeping an eye on the chair behind her as Cup was only too happy to oblige him.
With a sudden lift of his fore hooves against her chest, he flipped her backwards into the armchair, her marehood coming into clear view. Carrot leaned forwards, pressing the side of his hoof into her folds as he kissed her again, pushing the back of the chair into a reclined position with his other hoof. Carrot chuckled dryly back, holding himself inside her for a couple more seconds before he started to pull out, every one of the bumps and nuances of her tunnel pushing him closer to the edge. Cup moaned softly, a laugh coming off the end of the noise. "You're supposed to-ooh play that card when you want sex, not while we're-ah, having it."
Carrot only shook his head with a grin, rejoining them in a kiss. He glanced at the clock and sped up slightly, feeling Cup's walls clench around him ever tighter. She was close, and if she didn't keep getting tighter, he would be first.
Carrot gritted his teeth, pulling away from the kiss as he did so. He usually lasted longer, but he felt so sensitive from the time they'd just had, not to mention the fact that memories of the arousing experience kept playing though his head. She said, cooing as Carrot carefully pulled out. "It's so warm." Carrot nuzzled against her, his eyelids feeling heavy. "How many minutes was that?" Cup asked.
Carrot chuckled. "Thirteen." He let out a long sigh. Cup helped him onto the chair with her, giggling at how spent he looked. "I don't think they'd mind if we cuddled for four more, do you?" She asked, gently wrapping her arms around his form and kissing his cheek.
"Let's make it seven." Carrot replied, meeting Cup's lips once again.
