Lightning and Firefist (Script)

  (It was just another peaceful and sunny day in Ponyville. Ponies were excited for the Summer Sun Celebration for the defeat of Nightmare Moon and the sun being at its highest peak. For Lightning Strike, it seemed like a normal day for him. He is now having a conversation with his friend Flash Sentry, walking through the town.)

  Lightning: It just feels like a normal day to me Flash. Nothing special to me.

  Flash: I don't blame you Lightning. Sometimes when it's a holiday, it feels like it's normal for some ponies.

  Lightning: Yeah. I also can't help but wonder about the dream had last night. It had to do something with Nightmare Moon returning and the Elements of Harmony.

  Flash: Elements of Harmony sound good, Nightmare Moon does not.

  Lightning: (Smiles)You can agree with me on almost any level Sentry.

  Flash: (smiles) What are friends for?

  Lightning: Well, I'm going to off for walk. I'll catch you later Sentry. (walks of the Sweet Apple Acres)

  Flash: Ok, Bye!

  *Sweet Apple Acres*

  Lightning: (hums and looks at a farm) Hey, a farm. I wonder if there's anypony who lives there. (Walks over to farm an finds a blonde farm pony) Excuse me. Are you busy?

  Applejack:(Turns) Oh no. I'm just cleaning up the Apple Family Reunion. My name's Applejack; you can call me AJ for short.

  Lightning: I'm Lightning Strike. I just came for walk and maybe a snack.

  Applejack: No problem. I'll just get some apples for you. (Goes over to tree and bucks it, apples come down) Here you go partner.

  Lightning: How much will it be?

  Applejack: It's free. You can take it on the road.

  Lightning: Okay, Thanks! I better be going. Looks like everypony is going to be busy for the celebration.

  Applejack: Yeah, just one thing. Are you a prince?

  Lighting: No, I tend to get that a lot.

  Applejack: Okay, I just wanted to clear that up. Bye!

  Lightning: See ya later! AJ! (Walks into town)

  *Ponyville*

  (Lightning is walking and is spun when a purple unicorn and baby dragon rush past him)

   Unicorn: Excuse me! Coming Through!

   Lightning: (Stops spinning, Wonders) What's their hurry?

   (Pinkie Pie rushes up to Lightning)

   Lightning: Hi Pinkie Pie, what's up?

   Pinkie Pie: (excitedly) Hi Lightning! I have a surprise welcome party for some pony at the Library before night. Come by! Bye! (Rushes off)

   Lightning: Wow! Sometimes I wonder if she's faster than me.

  *Golden Oaks Library*

   Pinkie Pie: (rushes in) Quick! Turn off the Lights she's coming!

   (Unicorn and dragon walk in the library closing door on a yellow pegasus)

   Baby Dragon: Rude Much?

   Purple Unicorn: Sorry Spike, but I have to convince the Princess that Nightmare Moon is coming and we're running out of time! I just need to be alone so I can study without a bunch of crazy ponies trying to make friends all the time. Now, where's the light? (Turns on the Light)

   Ponies: SURPRISE!

   (Unicorn groans)

   Pinkie Pie: Surprise! Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie and I threw this party just for you! Were you surprised? Were you, Were you? Huh? Huh?

   Unicorn: Very, Libraries are supposed to be quiet.

   Lightning: (Teleports next to unicorn and smiles) Well, you just stopped by the first library that isn't quiet. (Unicorn gives an irritated glare) What? I'm just saying. Also, no I'm not prince.

  (Unicorn walks over to get a drink.)

  Pinkie Pie: And if you're new, that meant you haven't met anyone yet, and if you haven't met anyone yet, you must not have any friends, and if you don't have any friends then you must be lonely, and that made me so sad, then I had an idea, and that's why I went (Gasp)! I must throw a great big ginormous super-duper spectacular welcome party and invite everyone in Ponyville! See? And now you have lots and lots of friends! (Unicorn drinks juice and her face turns red and her mane catches fire)

  Applejack: Are you okay, sugarcube?

  Pinkie Pie: Aw, she's so happy she's crying!

  Lightning: You look like you could use a nice, cool glass of- (Unicorn breathes fire in Lightning's face) OW! MY FACE! ICE CUBE BUCKET!! (Puts his face in an ice cube bucket and makes a cooling sound) What kind of drink was that?

  Spike: "Hot Sauce". Ooh.

  Lightning: Question, why would you bring hot sauce to party?

  Pinkie Pie: (Puts hot sauce on cupcake and others give weird looks) What? It tastes good.

  Lightning: (Walks toward the door) Yeah, I'm just going go get ready for the Summer Sun Celebration.

  *Summer Sun Celebration*

   Pinkie Pie: Isn't this exciting? Are you excited, 'cause I'm excited, I've never been so excited-- well, except for the time that I saw- (gets stuffed by a cupcake by Lightning)

  Lightning: We get it Pinkie. No need for a flashback.

  Mayor: Fillies and gentlecolts, as mayor of Ponyville, it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration!

  (Ponies cheer)

  Mayor: In just a few moments, our town will witness the magic of the sunrise, and celebrate this, the longest day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to introduce to you the ruler of our land, the very pony who gives us the sun and the moon each and every day, the good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Equestria... Princess Celestia!

  (Curtain reveals no one there)

  Unicorn: This can't be good.

  (Ponies give concerned discussion)

  Mayor: Remain calm, everypony. There must be a reasonable explanation!

  Pinkie Pie: Ooh, I love guessing games! Is she hiding?

  White Unicorn: She's gone!

  Pinkie Pie: Ooh, she's good!

  (Nightmare Moon arrives)

  Lightning: Uh-oh. Looks like the dream I had might have been true

  Flash: Might have or was true?

  Nightmare Moon: Oh, my beloved subjects. It's been so long since I have seen your precious, sun loving faces!

  Rainbow Pegasus: What have you done with our princess?!

  Applejack: Whoa there, Nelly.

  Nightmare Moon: [chuckle] Why, am I not royal enough for you? Don't you know who I am?

  Pinkie Pie: Ooh, ooh, more guessing games! Um, Hokey Smokes! How about... Queen Meanie! No! Black Snooty, Black Snooty--(muffled noises)

  Nightmare Moon: Does my crown no longer count now that I have been imprisoned for a thousand years?

  Lightning: Not if you're crazy, evil, and out of your mind. (Ducks beam by Nightmare Moon)

  Nightmare Moon: Did you not recall the legend? Did you not see the signs?

  Purple Unicorn: I did. And I know who you are. You're the Mare in the Moon – Nightmare Moon!

  (Ponies gasping)

  Lightning: Flash, I take that dream prediction as a was.

  Nightmare Moon: Well well well, somepony who remembers me. Then you also know why I'm here.

  Purple Unicorn: You're here to... to... (Gulp)

  Nightmare Moon: (chuckle) Remember this day, little ponies, for it was your last. From this moment forth, the night will last forever! (laughter, thunder)

  Lightning: (Muttering) Not unless this alicorn has anything to say about it.
