Lightning and Firefist (Script)

  (Nightmare Moon laughs evilly and insanely)

  Mayor: Seize her! Only she knows where the Princess is! (Guards charge at her)

  Nightmare Moon: Stand back you foals! (Zaps the guards and leaves while laughing evilly)

  Lightning: (flies out of there like a lightning bolt) Oh, great. Nightmare Moon's returned, the Elements of Harmony are missing, and to top it off the princess is missing! But I don't even know what the Elements of Harmony are.

  Voice from the Library: And just what are the Elements of Harmony?! (Lightning spies from the library through a window) And how do you know about Nightmare Moon? Are you a spy?

  Applejack: Simmer down Sally. She's no spy. But you do know what's going on, right Twilight?

  Twilight: I read all about the prediction of Nightmare Moon. Some mysterious objects called the Elements of Harmony are the only things that can stop her, but I don't know what they are, where to find them; I don't even know what they do!

  Pinkie Pie: "The Elements of Harmony: A Reference Guide.

  Twilight: Where do you find that?

  Pinkie Pie: It was under "E"!

  Lightning: (muttering) Even I would try to look there.

  Twilight: Oh. There are six Elements of Harmony, but only five are known: Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Honesty and Loyalty. The sixth is a complete mystery. It is said, the last known location of the five elements was in the ancient castle of the royal pony sisters. It is located in what is now-

  *Everfree Forest*

  Everpony: The Everfree Forest!

  Lightning: (Spying from a cloud, muttering): Of course. Everything valuable is always there.

  Pinkie Pie: Whee! Let's go!

  Twilight Sparkle: Not so fast. Look, I appreciate the offer, but I'd really rather do this on my own.

  Applejack: No can do, sugarcube. We sure ain't lettin' any friend of ours go into that creepy place alone. We're stickin' to you like caramel on a candy apple.

  Everypony: (agreeing)

  Pinkie Pie: Especially if there's candy apples in there. (gets weird looks from the other ponies) What? Those things are good.

  Twilight: (sigh)

  (Mares go into Forest)

  Lightning: Oh, nuts and bolts! I better catch up to them! (Flies through the Forest and the area gets foggy) Oh, applesticks! I lost them! Stupid fog.

  Voice: Hey, look at him.

  Lightning: Huh?

  2nd Voice: Yeah, the pony who's anti-sociable.

  3rd Voice: Heh! He's not worth anything.

  Lightning: Hey, I am worth something!

  (Voices Laugh)

  1st Voice: He'll never find his way out of this forest.

  3rd Voice: Yeah, he'll be stuck here forever and never find his way out.

  Lightning: No way! I'll find my way out of this forest if it's the last thing I do and I will make more friends!

  All Voices: Fine! Then it looks like my trick has failed!

  (Nightmare Moon appears out of the fog)

  Lightning: Nightmare Moon!

  Nightmare Moon: Yes, say goodnight little pony.

  Lightning: What? (Gets slapped by Nightmare Moon) Ha! It's going to take a lot more than a slap to- (Get hit with Nightmare Moon's Magic beam.) Ow. (Knocked out)

*Lightning's Dream*

  Lightning: (wakes up) Uh? What happened? (Looks around) Am I in my dream?

  Soothing Voice: Yes, you are.

  Lightning: Who said that? And I have I lost my mind

  Soothing Voice: I did. And you are not losing your mind. (Reveals to be Princess Celestia)

  Lightning: Princess Celestia?

  Princess Celestia: Yes, it is me Lightning.

  Lightning: How do you know my name?

  Princess Celestia: I've been watching you ever since your quest to help in battling Nightmare Moon. You hold an Element of Harmony. One that cannot be taken away. The Element of a Pure Heart.

  Lightning: How's that possible? I thought there were six.

  Princess Celestia: There is one more Element of Harmony. This one is very important that you'll soon find out. Now, go prove your strength.

  *Somewhere near the tower*

  Lightning: (wakes up) Wow. That was some dream. (Notices glow coming from the tower) The battle! I better get there! (Flies into tower and watches from the top of the stairs)

  Purple Unicorn: You think you can destroy The Elements of Harmony just like that? Well, you're wrong, because the spirits of The Elements of Harmony are right here. Applejack, who reassured me when I was in doubt, represents the spirit of... honesty!

Fluttershy, who tamed the manticore with her compassion, represents the spirit of... kindness! Pinkie Pie, who banished fear by giggling in the face of danger, represents the spirit of... laughter! Rarity, who calmed a sorrowful serpent with a meaningful gift represents the spirit of... generosity! And Rainbow Dash, who could not abandon her friends for her own heart's desire represents the spirit of... loyalty! The spirits of these five ponies got us through every challenge you threw at us.

  Nightmare Moon: You still don't have the sixth Element! The spark didn't work!

  Purple Unicorn: But it did! A different kind of spark. I felt it the very moment I realized how happy I was to hear you, to see you, how much I cared about you. The spark ignited inside me when I realized that you all... are my friends! You see, Nightmare Moon, when those Elements are ignited by the... the spark, that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element: the element of... magic!

  (Ponies drop to the ground)

  Lightning: (muttering) That can't be good.

  Purple Unicorn: Why? Why did it work?

  Nightmare Moon: (Laughs) It makes me laugh how pathetic you ponies really are. There's a seventh element you foals!

  Purple Unicorn: But my book told me there was six!

  Nightmare Moon: (Laughs) The reason why your book didn't say it was because no one knows about it! (Lifts ponies up the ground with her powers) Time to say goodnight little ponies. FOREVER!!

  Lightning: (Flies in the room, and bucks Nightmare Moon in the face) Not if I have anything to say and/or do about it!

  Nightmare Moon: (Gasps) You! I thought I took care of you! Unless...(Face of Fear) No! You couldn't be!

  Lightning: Exactly! I'm-

  Purple Unicorn: (Face of hope) The Seventh Element!

  Lightning: The Element of a Pure Heart!

   (Ponies reignite the Elements of Harmony and use them against Nightmare Moon)

  Nightmare Moon: NOOOOO!!

  (Ponies drop to the floor after bright light)

  Rainbow Dash: Ugh, my head.

  Applejack: Everypony okay?

  Rarity: Oh, thank goodness.

  Fluttershy: Why Rarity, it's so lovely.

  Rarity: I know! I'll never part with it again.

  Fluttershy: No. Your necklace. It looks just like your cutie mark.

  Rarity: What? Ooh. So does yours.

  Fluttershy: (gasp)

  Pinkie Pie: Look at mine! Look at mine!

  Rainbow Dash: Aw yeah.

  Applejack: Gee, Twilight! I thought you were just spoutin' a lot of hooey, but I reckon we really do represent the elements of friendship.

  Princess Celestia: Indeed you do.

  Twilight: [gasps] Princess Celestia.

  Princess Celestia: Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student. I knew you could do it.

  Twilight Sparkle: But... you told me it was all an old pony tale.

  Princess Celestia: I told you that you needed to make some friends, nothing more. I saw the signs of Nightmare Moon's return and I knew it was you who had the magic inside to defeat her, but you could not unleash it until you let true friendship into your heart. Now if only another will as well. Princess Luna!

  Princess Luna: (gasp)

  Princess Celestia: It has been a thousand years since I have seen you like this. Time to put our differences behind us. We were meant to rule together, little sister.

  Everypony: Sister?

  Princess Celestia: Will you accept my friendship?

  Pinkie Pie: Whoa!

  Princess Luna: I'm so sorry! I missed you so much, big sister!

  Princess Celestia: I've missed you, too.

  Pinkie Pie: (blows her nose) (sobs) Hey, you know what this calls for? A Party!

  (Lightning is about to walk out but is stopped by Twilight)

  Twilight: Hey! Who are you?

  Lightning: Oh! I'm Lightning Strike. And no I'm not a prince. Just wanted to get that cleared up.

  Twilight: I'm Twilight Sparkle, and they're Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy.

  Lightning: Hi.

  Applejack: I was wondering when we would meet up again.

  Pinkie Pie: Hi! Lightning!

  Twilight: So Lightning, Why do you represent the Element of a Pure heart?

  Lightning: Don't know. I guess it has to do with saving you guys.

  Twilight: Makes sense. Wanna come to the party?

  Lightning: Sure.

  *Ponyville*

  Lightning: Can't wait to have that party. Though it may take hours to-

  Pinkie Pie: Finished!

  (The others give her an amazed look)

Lightning: Okay. Sometimes even I wonder if she's faster than me.

Rainbow: Or me.

(Party goes on and Twilight looks glummy)

  Princess Celestia: Why so glum my faithful student? Are you not happy that your quest is complete and you can return to your studies in Canterlot?

  Twilight: That's just it. Just when I learned how wonderful it is to have friends.

  Lightning: So? I don't see the downside.

  Twilight: But now I have to leave them.

  Lightning: Oh, now I get it.

  Princess Celestia: Spike take a note. I, Princess Celestia, hereby decree that the unicorn Twilight Sparkle shall take on a new mission for Equestria. She must continue to study the magic of friendship. She must report to me her findings from her new home in Ponyville.

  (Ponies cheer)

  Twilight:Oh thank you, Princess Celestia! I'll study harder than ever before!

  Lightning: Yes! Do you know what that means? We could crazy adventures, probably be in danger! I can see it now. Actually, I can't see it I just wanna be surprised.

  Pinkie Pie: Isn't this exciting? Are you excited cause I'm excited I've never been so excited, well, except for the time that I went (gasp) but I mean really- (Gets stuffed by a cupcake by Lightning)

  Lightning: Pinkie, we know the story. Just don't be Professor Expedition.

  (Ponies Laugh)
