Armor, Drills, and a Golden Heart

As Shining Armor stood outside on the airship platform, he knew this would be the last time, for a long time he would get to see his family. There were other cadets as well, some of them looked as excited as him, others looked like they didn't belong, or want, to be there. Shining heard the sound of talons behind him, he turned to see a griffon behind him, talons and claws sharpened, a scowl plastered upon his beak. he walked past Shining Armor. Something wasn't right about him, or at least that's what Shining Armor thought. another set of claws was heard, but this time coming towards him. A loud crash soon filled the air as Shining Armor was pushed into a luggage cart.

“Blade! aussteigen” A familiar voice commanded. Shining sat up to only find out he was tackled by a Siberian husky. And his cousin Sparkling Blade approaching the dog. He saw Blade walk over to her, and start to jump up.

“sitzen” Sparkling Blade commanded, the dog did as he was told, sitting down on the ground. Shining saw she had a dog treat in her hoof She went to put it down on the ground, the dog laid down on the ground, wagging his tail

“kostenlos” she commanded the dog ran up to the treat and in a few bites had gobbled it up.

Sparkling Blade walked up to her cousin and helped him up. With her magic, she put the luggage back on the cart neatly.

“Sorry about that” She started, “Blade  gets jumpy like that once he’s allowed off the airship” She added looking back at her dog, wandering around.

“Shouldn't he be on a leash?” Shining questioned

“Ah, nah, he knows not to wander too far.” Sparkling told him.

“You just got him, right?” Shining questioned.

“Yeah, only responds to Germare commands,” She started. “Sort of funny how your on tour for 9 months in Germareny and you soon can speak the language fluently.” She started. She seemed to get scared at the mention of the name.

“Don’t worry yourself” Shining started “Don’t force yourself to talk about it if it’s going to bring back those memories” Shining told her.

“No, no it’s good, it gets it out of my system” Sparkling blade stared “That's why i mumble to myself, that's why i’ll rant, just pay no attention to it if it happens.” She started.

“I’ll try,” Shining responded. Soon a crackle come over the loudspeaker.

“All cadets report onto their assigned airships.” It stated, before a click sounded.

“What airship are you and Uncle Glistering Helmet on?" Shining Armor asked

“The one you’re learning on,” She started seeing a familiar saddle bag on a cart roll towards the airship.

“Lets get going, lots of work for me, introductions for you, you know.” She started, Shining nodded, and with that they walked onto the airship.
