How to survive the zombie apocalypse
The group
Previous ChapterDear Journal:
It has been two days since the outbreak has occurred. Luckily enough for us the farm is cut off from civilization, we have made a good amount of friends. The survivor count is 15: Applejack, Applebloom, Big Mac, Fluttershy, Pinkiepie, Sweetie Belle, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, Doctor, Me (Saint), Patrick, Llama, Jak, Rainbow Dash, and Scootaloo. The three members of the apple family has been kind enough to take us all in. Of course we had to contribute to the farm, their are enough apples to keep us going for a little while...but.- My journal was cut off by Doctor yelling.
"IM TIRED OF SHITTING WATER!"
"We all are." I simply said. I looked back into my journal and continued to write. The Apple families pigs were gone for some odd reason, long story short, all we did have to eat were just apples, thankfully those provide us with enough water to keep us going.
We need something solid...something with protein or we are going to become to weak to do anything. We have gathered a team to go out foraging. Big Mac, thank god. Doctor, acceptable. Rainbow Dash, we defiantly will need speed for this mission, and last Pinkiepie, she can use her weird powers to do...I dunno something. I of course will be going with them. I do regret having Pat not come with us, but it would be foolish of we didn't leave the farm unprotected.
I put my journal down and let out a breath. Everything will be fine...nothing could go wrong. I nodded to myself as the foraging team and I walked away from the barn, we left with bags on our backs, heads held high, eyes pilled and ready. We walked towards the town, not knowing what was in store for us.
. . .
Jak's POV:
I didnt like the fact that Doctor and I were split up, we were best friends for the longest of times, it kind of hurt that he left, but I know he can handle himself. Right? I watched the foraging group leave for the town. I turned to the rest of the party.
Everyone was just chilling, no problems at all. What could go wrong? Zombie Rule: NEVER say that evil phrase.
. . .
Saint's POV:
I was walking along side the group when a shudder racked through my body.
"You ok?" Asked Dcctor, his eyes looking curiously at me.
"I dunno, it felt like...someone just did something..really stupid."
"..."
"..." I shrugged and we continued on.
After an hour of walking we vame up on the little town, it was oddly quiet and abandoned.
"Sumthin aint right." Big Mac said, his voice slightly startled me because...well he hasnt talked so far.
"I know, the town shouldnt be empty, I expected to see zombies roaming around." Doctor said, ising anside to him I rarely see, his intellectual side.
"I don't care, let's grab what we need and go!" Rainbow Dash said, her eagerness obvious to everyone but, I could tell inside she was nervous.
"Alright fan out and be careful, if so,ething happens dont hold back on your yells." I said. I wasn't pme for being a coward but, Imwould rather yell for help then just accept my death. I went into the shop labled 'Sugarcube Corner.' I looked at the counter. Rotting pastries, cupcakes, cakes, beagals and whatever else was there. I walked around the counter and found a room.
"Homey, please just eat something!" I heard a male voice come from behind the door.
"Rumnblphmmmf." Was what he got in response. I heard a sign then footsteps nearing the door, I turn and haled ass to the closest door. I opened it amd quietly shitnit behind me. I took a breath and held it as the footsteps drew closer.
thud
thud
thud.
I held my breath until they finally began to fade off. I let the door knob go and turned to see what was actually in the room. Packages, loads of them, flour, sugar, baking powder. Anything that was in a pastry was here.
A plan was being pieced together into my head, the only problem was, how in the fuck am I going to sneak it all out of here. Zombie Rule: take your time, regroup if you cant do something alone, don't risk it.
I had to find someone from the group, I cracked open the door and peaked out. Clear, I opened the door and snuck my way outside without incident. I ran off a good distance and yelled into the air. "RAINBOW DASH!"
Two seconds later I was greeted by the girl herself. "Sup." Rainbow Dash said, not lacking any breath whatsoever.
"I need help to get something, but I need a distraction." She nodded. "Follow me." I headed back to the shop and stopped out the door. "Ready?" I asked Dash. She shook her head. "Why not?"
Rainbow Dash sucked in a breath through her mouth then let it out, as if she was trying to calm herself. "What's wrong?"
"This used to be my friends favorite place to hang out at." She didn't want to defile her memories.
"Let me tell you a little something."
"What?"
"Zombie Survival Rule: don't think to much about the past, it will only get in the way of the future." Dash looked at me. "Think about it this way, if the owners were still alive, wouldn't they want what's best for you?" The gears began to turn inside of Dash's head.
"You're right."
"Of course I am, I'm always right." I grinned as I talked.
"And people thought my ego was big." I gave her a playful shove but then got real. "We have to be careful okay?" Dash nodded. "On three." Dash nodded.
"One." I gripped the door handle.
"Two." Dash said as she took a running position.
"Three!" I threw the door open, Dash sprinted in and began to flip tables that were inside the shop. I heard crashed then K heard the male voice from earlier shout at and run to Dash. I took this as my chance go. I headed to the room with all of the bags. I took off the bag from my back and began to shove supplies into it. After my bag was full I pulled it back up to me. "Fuck." This bag was too heavy, I was over-cumbered, but determined. I headed back to the to the exit moving at half a mile per hour.
"I'm sorry." I heard Dash's voice utter that many times before I managed to see her. Right there stood Rainbow Dash, beneath her was a man that resembled Mr. Cake. "I'm so sorry." The man was bleeding from his head as he laid there still.
"Dash we gotta go!" Adrenaline kicked into my veins, the bag got lighter and I moved faster, I grabbed her and pulled her outside. Dash still had a horrified look plastered onto her face.
. . .
Doctor's POV.
I didn't like leaving the group completely. I wish I had a partner at least. I feel uncomfortable knowing if I make a mistake it would be completely my fault. I wondered through the town, not sure if I could even find any supplies. I was wondering for a good while until I saw the red giant known as Big Mac. He was lumbering through town, his 6'7 tall self wondering around aimlessly. He wasn't exactly being stealthy.
I walked up beside him. "Sup."
"..." His silence made me feel out of place so I quickly fell out of line from him. I wasn't going to leave completely, just avoid being to close to him. I heard moans in the distance.
"You hear that?" I said to Mac. He nodded to me and went towards the sounds. "What are you doing!" He stopped and looked at me. "This may not be a movie but I'm pretty sure the rule still applies." Mac just stared at me. "If there is a strange sound, don't walk to it, you're suppose to do the opposite and walk away from it." He smirked and turned away, continuing towards the sound.
I followed him around a corner and saw the group of zombies. About six of them. I broke down the situation. Three of the zombies were smaller and rotten, chunks of flesh missing from their bodies, especially near the thighs and arms. Which meant those three were going to be slow and incredibly clumsy. One of the zombies were a hulking mass of muscles, his body untouched from cuts and any gashes. He was going to be slow due to all of his muscles, but he was going to be strong and accurate. The other two zombies were medium sized, just about your average sized person, one man and woman, both sported the same sized bite mark on their necks, other then that they were completely untouched, which meant they were going to be fast.
I looked around for anything to use, anything. I caught site of a fist sized rock. Welp that's about all there was, what could I expect from a world of sunshine and smiles. I grabbed the rock and readied myself. They were waiting for something. The biggest of the six moaned and the two quick zombies moved in.
My mind went into break down mode again. They showed intelligence, which meant this was an organized..ish...group of zombies. It made sense, the big one for any problems with barricades, the small torn up ones were used like gas...like to scare whoever was hiding out of their positions, while the two runners would chase them down and catch them...it was brilliant and terrifying at the same time. These things were intelligent...that might explain why the town was empty. Everyone was probably already dead, but the. Again that doesn't explain the lack of undead.
My mind went back to normal as I heard the crack of a skull being split open. I looked to big mac to see him slamming down one of the runners...where was the other one? I heard a growl. Instinct came into play and I leapt away from the sound. I saw the zombie fall face into the dirt, I gripped the rock and slammed it into the zombie's head. Multiple times, until I heard the groans stop.
I looked away from the bloody mess that was underneath me, only to be greeted by one of the slow zombies. I grabbed the rock and threw it into the zombies face. It stumbled back. I grabbed some dirt and threw pushed it into the zombies face, I them shoved it and stuck my leg under its legs. The zombie slammed face first into the dirt, I grabbed the rock from the ground and slammed it into the zombies head just like I did for the other one.
I looked away from the second bloody mess I've made. I saw the giant zombie stumbling away. I turned towards Mac and saw that he had made his own bloody mess, instead of how I beat the zombie's head in, the zombies that lay dead under Big Mac were completely mush. I don't know how he did it because I was busy with my own problems, but damn did he destroy those zombies.
The red giant walked off as if nothing had happened, I shrugged to myself and followed him.
