Forgotten Princess

"Things are progressing too quickly my queen, if this continues our plan will not be successful"

"Quite drone," snapped  Chrysalis, "I noticed this before she returned to her sisters, and I have already assigned a small team of under-queens to slow her progress."

"The thing is, it appears that she knows that we are watching her, and that she can give others the ability to use the “key”. She is waiting for a chance to be free of our spies so that she can bestow it on her sisters, so she won't be alone when the fighting starts."

"SHE KNOWS WHAT?!" Chrysalis yelled in rage of the news, startling the guards closes them, "How could she know that we are watching her. Did I choose the wrong infiltrators or can she see through their disguises." She mumbled to herself.

Both Celestia's and Luna's jaws dropped when the key like sword appeared in their sister's mouth, "What is that? Where did it come from?" asked both of the confused sisters in unison.

"We can't talk just yet, Tia can you raise a barrier that stops anypony or anything from listening in on us?"

"Yes I can my dear sister." she said as her horn started to glow golden and a bubble of the same color surrounded the room.

"Okay, to start the weapon before you is called a keyblade. It is a weapon that only a select few can wield because of the recent spike in the darkness of our world and others like it. I was given the right to wield it when some strangers appear as I was wandering in search of food. There was two boys one was Sora and the other was Riku there was also one girl traveling with them and her name was Kairi they told me of their travels and of the monsters that strive on the darkness in a living things heart. When their story was over they did a ceremony that gave me the ability to use my keyblade without it disappearing as soon as it was summoned. They then told me that I was to protect the light of the world we live on and in the process find eight others who are trustworthy enough to use the gift to to defeat the darkness and return the balance to the world."

"Is this why you asked Tia to raise the barrier so that you can perform the ritual on us?"

"Yes Luna, I have been being watch by somepony or something and I did not want to be interrupted during the ceremony. Now let us begin." I held out the keyblade so that Luna and Celestia could touch it, "In your hoof, take this Key. So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of taking, its wielder you shall one day be. And you will find me, friend—no ocean will contain you then. No more borders around, or below, or above, so long as you champion the ones you love."

"Who are the other six ponies that you are looking for?" Celestia asked a bit confused on who it would be.

"You know all of them well, one is your faithful student Twilight Sparkle and the others are the other five that helped her free you Luna." I said with a slight grin.

"I'm a bit surprised that you know of all six of them because you only met one of them and she probably did not mention the others." Celestia said.

"I only know of them because for the most part I kept what creatures of the forest I could from getting to them and I watch them return you back to normal Luna."

"And you didn't help them stop me from trying to start an eternal night." Luna said starting to get an upset.

"The only reason that I did not intervene was I started to feel a powerful light come out of Nightmare Moon so I stayed close enough that if something went wrong I could save them from your devilish form." Luna started to cry again, "Luna that light was you. Your inner good was starting to fight the darkness and all it needed was the helpful push of the six mares and the stones that matched their cutie marks and it would win and it did." Luna's tears started to slow but they kept on coming down.

"The stones they wore are called the Elements of Harmony, and they are what I had used to banish Lu....Nightmare Moon to the moon in the first place."Celestia informed me.

"Luna, would you like to learn more about the keyblades?"I asked her hoping to change the subject.

"Yes I would Lightning." said Luna starting to cheer up a bit.

"What would you like to know? I will tell you what I can on the subject."

"Do all keyblades look the same? I mean I like the lightning bolts on yours, but that just doesn't fit me."

"A keyblades physical appearance is determined by the personality of its wielder and their abilities. Now granted that if I give you the chain from mine and you put it on yours and it will change to look like my keyblade and vise versa. Now then any more questions Luna?"

"No I was just wondering about the appearance of the keyblades."

"Okay then, its getting late we should go to bed my sisters."

"You can stay in my room Lightning, I want to sit on my tower and watch the stars."

"Are you sure Luna?"

"Yes I'm sure. I've told you this already I don't sleep much during the night."

"Okay, see you in the morning." and with that we were off to bed.

The next morning the three sisters met in the dining hall and began to discuss their mission, "Who should we go and get first?" I asked.

"I say we should go to Twilight and have her introduce you to her friends and then we can decide from there." said Celestia.

"Speaking of Twilight, Tia I was wondering if I could spend time with her to learn more about the ponies that we rule, and while I'm away Lightning can stay in my room."

That sounds like a good idea Luna, it will give Lightning a chance to get used to staying in the palace and dealing with royal business, and you being in Ponyville will give you a chance to find your special somepony Luna." as Celestia finished Luna burst into a blush.

“Tia stop it, you know that I have no desire to be with anypony right now okay.”

“It’s okay Luna, she did she same thing to me when I was younger.” I whispered into her ear into her ear so that Celestia couldn’t hear.

“What did you tell her Lightning?’

“Nothing Tia.” I said giggling with Luna at our sister’s curiosity.

"But I want to know what you said." Celestia pouted with that face you can only get from a filly who really wants something.

"You got me. I told her that you told me the same thing when I was younger." I confessed surprised that she used the same face that I used on her so many times when we were kids to get stuff. "Luna go and get your things together so that Tia and I can talk in private."

"Okay I'll go and get my saddlebags ready so can leave later."

After Luna left the room we continued the conversation, "Tia I know why mom left."

"How could you know she didn't tell any of use why she was leaving she just got up and left without a word."

"Lets put it this way I have had a lot of time to ponder on the subject ,and one pony always came up while I was thinking of reasons why she left, Luna."

"Why would you say that Light we both know that she loved Luna as much as us."

"That's the thing. Didn't you notice her always avoiding eye contact with us, but her always looking Luna in the eye?"

"Now that you mention it she did start doing that about two weeks before she vanished."

"Mom saw what would happen to Luna and she tried to find a way to stop it from happening."

"How do you know this is true and that she didn't just abandon us."

"Listen to yourself Tia, we both know very well that mom loved us and would do anything to protect us."

"Your right she did care about us too much to just abandon us like that."

"For now lets leave this conversation and return to it we Luna is ready to be part of it."

"Agreed, but I think that we she go and see how much stuff she packed." Celestia said heading towards the door to the hallway.

About ten minutes later in Luna's room "Don't want to forget my telescope. Wait doesn't Twilight have a telescope? If she does o'well we'll just have two there." Luna thought frantically trying to get ready for her trip to Ponyville.

"Luna almost ready to go?" Celestia asked through the door.

"Almost, just have to pack my quill and parchment so I don't have to use Twilight's."

"Okay Luna we will be in the palace gardens waiting for you."
