Forgotten Princess

In the main room of the Ponyville Library four alicorns, a dragon, and a unicorn sit telling stories of their lives. "I found him when he was a foal about twenty years ago on the edge of the Everfree Forest, but when I looked I found no parents anywhere, so I took him and raised him."

"So you just took him?" Celestia asked.

"No, for the first four months I made a temporary house on the edge of the forest where I found him, but nopony ever came looking for him. So I then brought him to my home inside the forest and raised him to the point where he could control his magic. I taught him to do basic things with it and slowly progressed him to harder spells. One day after his lesson I went into our makeshift kitchen and was attacked by a team of changelings that were on their way to the castle for an attack. One of them stunned me with its magic before I could react. Ravenger heard the commotion and came running to see what was happening. When he got there he saw me on the ground in the center of a circle of changelings. He charged at the closes one to me and rammed into its side knocking it down, and before the rest of them could react he started to attack the rest of them with extreme prejudice killing all but the one he rammed into. He had beat that one within an inch of its life when I stopped him. It tried to escape but it was in to bad of shape to do so. I then started to develop a spell that would allow me to temporarily stop a changeling from using magic and separates them from their hive so long as the spell is active. It took a lot of trial and error to get the spell working properly, but when it was done I sent the changeling back to Chrysalis to tell her that me and Ravenger were ready to stop her again if she sent more changelings after us. Not long after that I started talking to Ravenger about returning to pony society, but the decision was hard for him to make because he did not want to run into his parents and them not want anything to do with him. That is why I left without him and sought you two out my sisters, so that we might not have that possibility." I finished.

"So wait. He killed how many changelings?" Twilight asked.

"Probably about six or seven drones and two under-queens." he responded.

"How did you do that? You were not trained to fight them." Luna asked puzzled at what she just heard.

"Easy," he responded, "It seems that when I get really angry at something or when somepony I really care about gets hurt, I mentally black out and a form of warrior's instincts kick in and I fight simple as that." he finished look around. We all look at him puzzled from what he just said.

"So you didn't know what I found after we finished cleaning up?" I asked.

"What did you find?"

"Do you remember how the changelings had mild burn marks on them," he shook his head, "Well I found a keyblade made of pure fire, and when I tried to pick it up it burned me and then dissipated."

"What!" they all said in surprise.

"I guess that some keyblades can only be wielded by certain ponies."

"Why didn't you tell me this before Lightning!" Ravenger yelled at me.

"Because, I wasn't sure if it was an actual keyblade or if you just created it with your magic." I told him starting to cry.

"I'm sorry Light," he said as he started to nuzzle my neck, "I didn't mean to yell at you."

"It's okay," I told him as I wrapped my wings around him, "I should have told you sooner it's just that I wanted to keep it a secret so that nothing would happen to you."

"Can we get back to the story please?" Spike asked.

"Sure," Ravenger answered, "when I noticed that Lightning was nowhere to be found I headed towards Chrysalis's hive hoping that she would meet me instead of sending her drones. I prepared the hive nullification spell so that if things got out of hoof I could stop them from calling for help, but I got lucky and only she left the hive to meet with me. I sped up and stopped directing any emotion towards the changelings so I could now go unnoticed. When she was flying above me I used Lightning's spell to pull her to the ground." he continued to tell his story until it got to the point where they all met.

"Interesting, so she tried to make you abandon Lightning and join her." Celestia stated.

"Sounds about right." he responded.

"Ravenger I want to try something."

"What do you want to try?"

"I want you to focus on summoning your keyblade." I told him.

"I don't know if I can." he told me his voice full of doubt.

"Trust me you can. You just have to try."

"I guess I'll try it for you Light," when he finished speaking he closed his eyes and started to focus on his goal. We didn't wait long before he was engulfed in flames. As the flames went away a strange stallion stood were Ravenger was just a few seconds ago. "Light I feel funny." the strange stallion said.

"Who are you and what did you do with Ravenger?" I hissed at the stallion.

"Light it's me Ravenger," he responded, "I think that when I tried to summon my keyblade I change in someway." as he finished the sentence a keyblade of pure fire appeared in front of him.

"It is you." I said as I embraced him.

"Wait, are those wings?" Luna asked in surprise.

"That can't be I'm a unicorn, I can't have wings." he stated

"Then what are these?" I asked as I grabbed his wings playfully.

"How did this happen?" Luna and Celestia asked in unison.

"My guess would by that the keyblade would not accept his old body unless he was trying to protect something against a foe that he would likely loose against if he did not use it, so it changed him into a form that it could accept without him being in danger. But I do hope you stay like this because I don't want you to have to leave me because I do love you."

"I knew you would find somepony to be with." Celestia said with a devilish grin.

"Tia stop it. You wonder why I never wanted to go anywhere with you." I stated unaware of the blush on my face.

"Does this mean that I am now a prince?" asked Ravenger.

"Not until you two get married, but you can still live with us though." Luna jumped in.

"Wait," Twilight stated, "he has a cutie mark know too."

"I do?" he asked as he turned his head and to his surprise she was right he did have one it is red heart with slightly darker red flames around it and with a flaming black keyhole in the middle.

"What does that mean?" Spike asked.

"It means, unlike me he is to walk the difficult path of dawn."

"What is the path of dawn?" he asked.

"The path of dawn is the path that crosses through the light and darkness giving those who walk it complete control over both. Of the few who can take that path only a few survive."

"So they die if they fail?" Luna asked.

"No, they do not die they just get lost in the darkness and cannot return once there, but the ones who successfully complete the training become some of the most powerful keyblade masters."

"So Light, why don't you have your cutie mark yet?" Ravenger asked.

"Oh ya, sorry about that," I lowered the spell blocking my cutie mark which is the Oblivion and Oath Keeper keyblades crossing with an electric blue heart with a black keyhole in the middle above the keyblades. "I wanted to keep my special talent a secret until I returned to my sisters."

"What does yours mean?" Luna asked.

"It means that I can do this," I summoned two keyblades one that is black and the other is white with a little bit of blue and yellow on it.

"So you can use two keyblades at once, that is very interesting." Luna stated.

"Now that that is done with we probably should go and find Pinkie, she will be so happy to meet you two." Twilight said.
