midnight farwell

Adrian ran down the halls of the old castle.Luna holding on for dear life ignoring the clanking of his  armor beneath her. "A...dri..an... what...is...go...ing...on....hererere" she tried to mangle out of her mouth but could barely understand herself. "your majesty, your father the king is sick and we need to help him quickly. no one knows how much time we have" This all came as news to Luna she diddn't understand any of this. none of this made scene to the young filly. her dad was perfectly fine before. left NOW "ADRIAN TURN LEFT" the colt did jumping of a balcony into another room. this one looked familiar, they must be getting close. The closer they got the more Luna began to get an uneasy feeling, "somethings not right" she whispered to herself waiting for the voice  to tell her what to do next. looking in the windows they passed she could swear she saw some pony leaning over her shoulder, but it was probably just her imagination. your almost out of time "faster Adrian" finally Luna saw the door to the room  where her father layed, but the door was bared shut. "open it, open it Adrian"

with all his force he slammed his body agents the door to no anvil."why, wont, you, open. Luna joined if to help, throwing her body agents the door. through the cracks in the old foundation they heard a scream. "Adrian hurry we need to open this" they tried and tried but it was as if it was bound by magic. "Luna, i, cant, open it" but they both kept doing so until Luna could no longer stand up. Adrian pushed her away and begin putting to much energy into it. with a few more thumps agenst the bound door, they both heard a crack. Adrian cried out in pain at his broken shoulder, but insisted on continuing. "Luna get your mother shes close, i can tell. with a nod Luna ran out the room and rounded the corner. only to she them flying right at her. using her own wings she glided back into the room and strait into the door, but it didn't even shake. Luna could here a group of guards following close behind her sister and mother.  Celestia was the first to come into view. "move" she howled at the two of them. with all her magic she threw a fireball at the door. incinerating it on contact. Luna ran inside to find her dad, but it was to late. quickly the rest of them tumbled into the room. as did a group of guards. but  they all stopped behind the princess.

the king layed in the old throne sunken over, not breathing. Luna was the first to react. she walked up to him slowly. "daddy, daddy, i got mommy like you said, Adrian to, daddy get up. please get up" slower than before she came and layed her hoof on his chest. silently she waited for, anything. At all. "get up dad. get up, DAD GET UP NOW" she began to pound on the fallen alicorns chest. "GET UP DAD PLEASE NO, GET UP" Tears finally began falling down her face. "DADDY NO, DON'T LEAVE ME" everyone stared at her. they couldn't bear to see her like this but where so in shock they could not move.

finally Adrian ran up and grabbed Luna. "Luna its ok baby girl, shhh its ok" he held her to his chest. fighting the need to cry as well he reached over, hoping she was just wrong. putting his hoof up to the kings neck he waited. for what seamed like an eternity the waited like that. until he gave up. "h.....he....he's,.....gone" he managed to muster out. every guard in the room fell to the ground in sadness. they might not have been on first name with the king, but he made sure EVERY PONY that worked for him knew how grateful he was for there service. the queen stood there quietly with her eyes closed.Celestia was  the first to react.

"NO JUST....NO THIS CANT BE" with much speed and grace she opened her wings and flew out of the room. but it didn't matter to the young princess, nothing did. finally done fighting Adrian she held him tight not letting him go crying and crying begin for a miracle. finally Adrian couldn't take it. "please my old friend, don't leave us"

          Celestia ran past all the guards and out the front of the castle. Flying off she didn't worry about anything except getting away, away from Luna, Adrian, her mother, and..... Flying as fast as she could she didn't see the weather Pegasus in front of her. Crashing into him they tumbled to the ground. "sorry your majesty I was..." he noticed the tears in her eyes. "Are you OK princess" he cocked his head to the side. She faintly nodes and took off again. However the Pegasus began to follow her. "Wait your majesty, what's wrong" she turned and with a quick beat of the wings he went down to the ground. He waited till she was out of sight, then smiled. "So that went well, looks like little Luna killed him after all. So only one more thing to do" quickly shaking his head, his body slowly shifted and changed. With a small grunt he lifted his head and marveled at his own natural ability. "My,my discord you do make one fine Guard if I do say so myself" letting out a wicked chuckle he trotted towards the castle. "Only one thing left to do" he wouldn't stop until they were gone, and little filly Luna had her wish "just like daddy right, well lets finish making it so my dear HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
