After an engine failure, the TARDIS is falling. The Doctor tries to think of a way to get it starting, but the TARDIS ends up crashing. Derpy survives, but the doctor doesn't. The crash was fatal enough to trigger one thing though. Regeneration.

The TARDIS is hurdling towards the earth, The doctor tries to keep derpy calm, but to no avail. When the TARDIS ends up crashing, The doctor barely survives. anypony normal would of died, but the doctor isn't anypony normal. He has to "regenerate", which causes him to change. After reliasing they crashed in Ponyville, derpy has a lot to explain to the mane 6 and princess Celestia herself.
